Chapter 4

I blurted out.

"He is not my child. He is not qualified for me to teach him."

When these words were spoken, everyone was shocked.

Sophia was the first to react, she covered her face and cried bitterly.

"I knew you had something on your mind, and you still doubted me."

My parents heard the clue in my words.

"What's the meaning?"

Mr. Reynolds and Mrs. Reynolds looked puzzled, and Daniel immediately knelt beside me.

"Dad, why do you doubt me and Mom? You know it's not like that."

Sophia cried and said that she had broken up with her ex-boyfriend a long time ago.

But my parents were even more confused.

"If that's the case, then what exactly happened?"

I didn't say anything and took this opportunity to forcefully drag Sophia to the Civil Registry Office.

After finishing my business, I immediately left the Civil Registry Office.

"After thirty days, if you get your Divorce Certificate, you will move out of my house immediately. I will have done my best."

After saying that, I took out my phone, sent a message, and left without looking back.

Only Sophia was left crying and Daniel was kneeling there begging me.

A few days later, Sophia brought Daniel and her parents to see me.

The first time she saw me, she handed me the documents in her hand.

"Look, I swear I never betrayed you."

My parents and Mr. Reynolds & Mrs. Reynolds also looked at me.

"This document can prove the relationship between Daniel and you. It is absolutely not false."

Daniel even reached out and grabbed me.

"Dad, you'll know we didn't lie when you see this. I really am your biological son."

I took the document and looked through it under their expectant eyes.

Sophia saw that I looked relieved and was about to speak.

The next second, I tore the document into pieces.

I spoke expressionlessly.

"I said, I just want a divorce, you don't need to give me anything else."

My parents looked at me in shock.

It turns out that I knew the results of the paternity report, but why didn’t I care at all and insisted on getting a divorce?

Sophia's eyes suddenly turned red with tears.

"Since you already knew that I had never betrayed you, why did you do this to me and the child?"

"Is it just because of a leftover rice?"

I met her gaze.

"Yes, that's the reason."

"I just want you to leave with nothing and take him as far away as you can."

Daniel looked at me in disbelief as I abandoned him like a stranger.

Sophia pounced on me and tore my clothes.

"Why do you treat me like this? We have different living habits, shouldn't we be tolerant of each other?"

"Why do you insist that the child and I change? Why do you insist on getting a divorce?"

Her painful cries only stirred endless disgust in my heart.

I let her beat me, remaining unmoved.

"Divorce is the best outcome for us."

After that day, my parents and Mr. Reynolds & Mrs. Reynolds bombarded me with calls to stop me from getting a divorce.

Daniel even knelt at the door of the house I rented day and night.

After my neighbors found out about this, they cursed me in the community group.

I let them point fingers at me and never even glanced at Daniel.

Even though Sophia came to my house several times to beg me, I didn't waver at all.

Because my neighbors came to watch and complain, my story spread quickly.

Soon, the news that I wanted to divorce my wife and children because they left a grain of rice behind during their meal spread throughout the city.

I was branded Weirdo.

Some people even squatted at my doorstep and sent me death threats.

They all supported Sophia in getting a divorce and staying away from me, the perverted scumbag Weirdo.

Only Sophia and Daniel persisted.
