Chapter 1 of Revenge from My Wife

My wife, Grace, was in poor health and couldn't have a baby.

I felt sorry for her and decided to be a DINK.

Unexpectedly, she brought back a five-year-old child on the third wedding anniversary.

"Darling, I know you've always wanted a child. He'll be our child from now on, and you'll love him, right?"

I noticed the child's eyes were similar to Grace's crush, and then called the police.

"Hello, I want to report someone abducting a child."

1

On the third wedding anniversary, I booked a terrace and bought her favorite roses to make her happy.

Looking at the custom-made necklace in my hand, I waited for her to come home with joy.

The moment someone was opening the door, I stood up and walked towards the people happily.

After the door was opened, I saw Grace walking in with a little boy, perhaps the age of four or five.

Susan, my mother-in-law, followed behind them.

"Grace, who is the child?" I asked in confusion.

Her face was full of excitement and happiness, and she pushed the boy towards me.

"Darling, I know you've always wanted a child. He'll be our child from now on, and you'll love him, right?"

Susan also took the opportunity to echo.

"That's right. Grace is very thoughtful. She knows you like children, so she brought a child home for you to raise."

I didn't respond, and Susan persuaded me earnestly.

"Billy, I'm not saying anything bad about you, but you two have been married for three years and don't have a child of your own. Now that Grace has brought one home, you should be content."

Grace and I had been married for three years, but because of her poor health, she couldn't have a baby.

I felt sorry for her and decided to be a DINK.

Afraid that she would be forced to have a baby by her family, I kept claiming that it was my problem.

It was originally my considerate care for her, but I didn't expect that today it would be what I was blamed for.

"Grace, where did you bring this child?"

My face turned cold, but I tried to ask in a kind tone.

During the three-year marriage, I had never said a harsh word to her. But as a result, she brought a child back to me without consulting me.

Grace glanced at me impatiently, then sat down on the sofa.

"My mother's distant niece gave birth to the child at a very young age. The child was never registered and was raised in the countryside. After my cousin got married, her husband found the truth and made a fuss for several days.

"It's nothing she can do but give him to us, and we don't have any children anyway."

Susan led the child to sit down and touched his head lovingly.

"Oscar, he is your dad from now on. Now call him Daddy."

Raising his head to look at me, Oscar called out to me in a crisp voice.

"Daddy."

I looked into Oscar's eyes, feeling that they were somewhat familiar.

Grace pulled the child to her side and handed him an apple.

"Dear, I'll be your mommy from now on."

Seeing this scene, Susan poked me and rolled her eyes at me.

"Since Oscar called you, you should have given him a gift, but you didn't even bother to respond. You're so rude.

"Luckily, Grace doesn't mind. In my hometown, we think men who cannot have children are no different from eunuchs.

"Even so, my daughter brought you a son to raise. You should be content. It makes me angry just looking at you stupidly. Hurry up and cook the meal. Otherwise, Oscar will get hungry."

Looking at the child's clean clothes and fair face, I finally realized what was wrong.

Children raised in rural areas were mostly naughty and liked to play in the fields, so their skin couldn't be so tender and fair.

It seemed like they lied.

2

"Grace, come in with me. We need to have a talk for a moment."

I lowered my eyes and turned into the room.

Grace followed me in impatiently, pointing at me and scolding me as soon as she entered the door.

"Billy, are you crazy today? My mom just said a few words to you, but you looked so gloomy. Who are you doing this for?

"She brought the child back to us for our own good. He's a boy and can take care of us in our old age. What else do you want?"

I glanced at Grace, who looked arrogant. She seemed to have forgotten who the infertile person was.

"Grace, we agreed earlier that we would not have children but live on our own in the future. Besides, my money is enough for us to support ourselves in our old age. I don't need a stranger to do it."

When Grace realized that I was angry, her expression changed immediately. She hugged her chest with one hand and poked my shoulder with the other.

"Billy, what do you mean by that? Susan has taken the child back, do you want to kick him out?

"She meant well. It's fine if you don't appreciate it, but you can't say something like that. Do you have any conscience?"

At this time, Susan began knocking on the door outside.

"Grace, why are you talking so much nonsense to him? How could he, the infertile one, have the gut to blame others? Who does he think he is?

"From now on, Oscar will be your son even if he disagrees. Billy can't drive him out unless I die."

Hearing what her mother said, Grace glared at me.

"Billy, do you want to piss my mom off to death? She always thinks for us, but what about you? You're an ungrateful person."

Having finished speaking, Grace opened the door, walked out, and then took Oscar's hand.

"Dear, never mind what your dad says. Today, I'll take you out and host a nice meal for your arrival."

Oscar jumped happily and threw himself into her arms.

"That's great! Thank you, Mommy. I love you the most."

Susan took his other hand with a smile and didn't forget to look back at me.

"Just stay at home and reflect on what you did today."

After that, Susan and Grace took Oscar out of the door.

The three of them got along well with each other as if they were a family. Seeing the scene, I was stunned for a moment.

Feeling depressed, I followed them out the door as well. Unexpectedly, upon leaving the community, I saw Grace leading the boy into a red Ferrari.

Susan also happily got into the car.

I took a closer look, finding that the car was the one that Grace had asked me to buy for her some time ago.

At that time, Grace told me that she liked the car, and I asked her how much it cost.

She showed me the photo immediately and said with a calm voice.

"Not expensive. It's just over one million dollars."

I was stunned, thinking, "When did one million dollars mean nothing to her?"

I could recall what Grace looked like when she first went to university.

Back then, she had two pigtails and carried a woven bag, her eyes full of expectation for the city.

At that time, a bowl of noodles that cost 20 dollars would make her exclaim that its prices were too high.

After they got in the car, it drove away from the community.

I quickly called a taxi to catch up, and the taxi driver glanced at me with a look, showing he knew what was going on.

"Don't worry, bro! With my skills, I'm sure we can catch them."

The Ferrari drove into the city and stopped at a high-end restaurant.

The next moment, a man got out of the driver's seat. After getting out, Grace walked around the front of the car and took the man's hand, leaning her head over to him affectionately.

Susan, holding the child, followed behind them.

It disappointed me so much.

I knew that man, Steve Allen, was Grace's crush.

3

No wonder I always felt that the boy's eyes were somewhat familiar. I understood the moment I saw Steve.

His eyes were almost exactly the same as Steve's.

Steve was the one that Grace had been longing for for many years.

He, handsome and from a wealthy family, was a school bully in the university.

Like his other fans, Grace had been secretly in love with him but had never been able to get his love for many years.

She managed to date him as Steve broke up with his girlfriend.

Unexpectedly, as they were about to get married, Steve was expelled from school because his family went bankrupt and he falsified his thesis. In the end, the two separated.

Grace became my girlfriend later, and we got married after dating for half a year.

Back to reality, I called her while sitting in the car.

Sitting by the window, Grace picked up her phone, took a look at it, and then pressed the hang-up button impatiently.

I suppressed my anger and called her again.

Steve, sitting next to Grace, leaned over and said something in her ear. She smiled shyly and answered the phone slowly.

"Hey, what's going on? You know I'm outside with Oscar, don't you?"

Hearing Grace's questions, I felt completely disappointed.

"Where are you? I'm coming to find you."

Grace snorted coldly.

"What did you find me earlier? I was having dinner with Oscar and Susan. We will go home after that."

Then, Grace hung up the phone impatiently.

Hearing the busy tone on the phone, the taxi driver looked at me sympathetically.

"Bro, there are thousands of good women. Don't be sad."

I forced a smile, then took out my cell phone and made a call.

"Hello, I want to report someone abducting a child."

The taxi driver was stunned for a moment and then gave me a thumbs-up.

After the call, I sent a message to my childhood friend.

[Help me investigate Steve Allen. I need all his information.]

Yara Gerta replied to me very quickly: [OK!]

Later, I immediately went to the bank and printed out all the recent transaction records.

It was getting dark already when I got home.

Upon entering the community, I saw a patrol car parked in front of my house.

I could hear Susan's voice from a distance.

"Oh no, we are all law-abiding citizens. How could we do something like kidnapping children?

"Sir, I think you should have misunderstood. This is my niece's son, and I definitely don't abduct him.

"Look at the place! We live in a villa and drive a luxury car. Do we look like people who need to traffic in children? Now that I'm so rich, I can give birth to a child myself. Sir, you really misunderstood."

The police did not listen to her explanation but repeatedly asked them to bring the little boy to the police station and check his identity.

Grace protected Oscar behind her, with an angry look, and pointed at several policemen arrogantly.

"I have the right not to go. I haven't done anything illegal. Why should I go? What evidence do you have to prove that we are trafficking him?"

As the two men were so difficult to deal with, the police officer immediately took out handcuffs.

"If you don't cooperate, then we will have to take coercive measures."

Oscar was just a kid who had never seen such a scene before, so he immediately burst into tears.

"Mom, I'm scared. I am your child, not someone else's child."

Grace became angrier while hearing his words.

"Did you hear that? The child himself admitted that he is my son, my biological son."

4

The moment Grace finished speaking, Susan immediately slapped her hand, signaling her to shut up.

Grace didn't take it seriously and became even more unscrupulous because I was not there.

"He's my biological son. If you don't believe me, how about I show you the birth certificate?"

With that, Grace started to search in her bag.

Only then did I walk in slowly.

"What did you say? Whose child is this?"

Hearing my voice, Grace turned around, and her hand holding the birth certificate loosened. The next moment, a piece of green paper fell to the ground.

I slowly picked up the birth certificate on the ground and saw Grace's name written on it.
