Chapter 3
Jessica opened her eyes and looked at Kelsey in shock, only to see her take out her mobile phone with a provocative look and send a message.
Three minutes after the message was sent out, the phone placed on the seat rang.
Kelsey picked up the phone and after a few seconds pretended to be shocked and regretful, then looked towards the driver's seat as if he wanted to say something.
The man noticed and said in a gentle tone, "What's wrong?"
She pretended to have no choice but to speak up. "Jacob, my friend just said that the park we were going to was closed and my dad happened to send me a message saying that he wanted to see you, but it was a bit out of the way."
He stopped the car and turned to look at Kelsey. Just as he was about to speak, he heard her say again,
"I forgot that Jessica got carsick, why don't we send her off first? I'll send a message to my dad and ask him to wait for a while."
The gaze that fell on Kelsey turned to Jessica.
Jacob unlocked the car door and said, "I'm going to meet her parents with her now. If you have anything to do, you can take a taxi."
Kelsey picked up the bag she had placed on the seat and handed it to her, pretending to be worried. "Jessica, you must be careful. Jacob and I will leave first."
As soon as she got off the car, he could not wait to drive away.
The wheels rolled over a puddle on the side of the road and a pool of dirty water splashed onto Jessica's white dress.
She lowered her eyes and looked at her dress splashed with dirty water.
If Jacob had been a little more patient, he would have discovered that she was about to leave.
If he had been more careful, he would have discovered that Kelsey was pretending.
However, he would not find out about it because he did not love her at all.
Not long after, it started to rain and Jessica could not even get a taxi.
She had no choice but to call her best friend, Selena William.
Not long after, a cool sports car stopped on the roadside and the car glass moved down. "Jessie, get in the car!"
In the car, Selena looked at her with reluctance and asked, "Are you really going to settle down in France?"
Jessica nodded as she replied, "Mmm ... and I won't come back."
Hearing these words, Selena showed a surprised expression and said, "What about your brother? Are you going to France to get engaged?"
Selena was her best friend in Los Angeles and she did not hide anything about her relationship with Jacob from Selena.
Now hearing her ask this, Jessica unconsciously clenched her fingers and gazed out the window. "He and I are over and I won't like him anymore."
Her best friend then guessed something.
She witnessed Jessica's pain, struggle and happiness and also knew that the two of them had planned to get married abroad before. Now, although she was surprised to hear her say she gave up, she also knew that she must be sad.
"It's okay, just apply for a visa and have a good and proper relationship in France!"
Hearing her best friend's comfort words, Jessica revealed a smile.
Yes, she still had a long life ahead of her and there were more men than just Jacob in this world. She could completely start a new life.
At the Department of State, she quickly completed the visa application.
Selena put her arm around her shoulders and pondered as she said, "To celebrate the beginning of your happy life, I'll take you out for a big meal."
She took her to the largest restaurant in Los Angeles and even forced her to sit in the largest private room.
As soon as the two of them arrived, the staff said that the restaurant had been booked for a day and they could not have a meal there today.
Just as they were about to leave, they heard a familiar voice.
"Jessie, Selena, why are you here? Since you're here, come in and have a meal together."
Florence looked at the two girls with joy on her face. "Today, your dad and I will have a meal with Kelsey's parents. We plan to arrange their engagement. You two should come along as well, just to give your brother some ideas."
Chapter 4
Jessica was stunned for a split second hearing these words and her face turned pale.
Selena glanced at her. The moment she was about to push her away, she heard her say, "Okay, I'll help my brother with some ideas."
Following Florence, Selena's face was full of worry as she whispered. "Jessie, are you really okay?"
Jessica stiffly tugged at the corner of her mouth and replied, "It's okay."
Just as her mother pushed the door open, Jessica looked at the group of people sitting around the dining table and greeted them politely.
Looking at Kelsey, who was wearing a princess dress and Jacob, who was wearing a black suit and sitting next to her, she clenched her palms hard to prevent herself appear abnormal.
Seeing Jessica's slightly red eyes, Jacob frowned.
"Jessie, why are you here?"
Before she could say anything, Florence hurriedly spoke up, "I saw Jessie and Selena at the door. You and Kelsey want to discuss engagement. Jessie is your sister, so she should help you with ideas. Jessie, just sit next to your brother."
As soon as she sat down, Jacob grabbed her wrist and she could not break free.
She turned her head to meet his gaze and hear his whisper. "I'll explain it to you when I get back."
He did not finish his words and Jessica suddenly shook off his hand under the table.
The dishes were served one after another. Before enjoying the dishes, Florence handed a box to her son and signaled him with her eyes to give it to Kelsey.
Under the gratified gazes of all the parents, Jacob opened the box and personally put the diamond bracelet, which was said to be a heirloom of the Oliveira Family, on Kelsey's wrist.
Kelsey gave a shy smile, then deliberately met Jessica's gaze, then looked up and kissed Jacob on the cheek.
Her expression was full of provocation.
That night, Kelsey pulled Jacob and put in a lot of effort to show her affection in front of everyone.
She deliberately leaned over to his ear, telling him what she wanted to eat and asking him to help her pick it up. She deliberately put the food she could not finish on his plate and asked him to finish it bite by bite. She deliberately asked him to help block everyone's toast when everyone was urging her to drink ....
And such a thing happened right next to Jessica.
She was heartbroken at first, but she was completely numb in the end.
A group of people get together and want to play Truth or Dare, especially with a couple here.
In the first round, Jacob lost and chose the Dare, in which the task was to kiss his opposite sex he liked for five minutes.
In an instant, everyone's eyes fell on Kelsey, only Jacob's eyes fell on Jessica.
Seeing he had not made any move for a long time, his mother could not wait any longer and urged him, "Jacob, what are you waiting for?"
Jacob turned to look at Kelsey. In just three seconds, he pulled her into his arms, grabbed the back of her head and lowered his head to kiss her.
Five full minutes, not a minute more, not a minute less!
Chapter 5
While everyone was cheering for their love, no one knew that Jacob had lost his mind.
His mind was filled with Jessica's numb and emotionless look, which made him so heartbroken that he could not breathe.
As soon as five minutes were up, he let go of Kelsey and turned to look at Jessica.
But before he could say anything to Jessica, the girl suddenly stood up with a sweet smile on her face.
"Seeing that Jacob and Kelsey have such a good relationship, I feel relieved. I think the sooner the engagement happens, the better. I have something else to do, so I'll leave first with Selena."
Florence nodded with a satisfied look on her face and responded, "Jessie is right. Kelsey is such a good girl, so we need to hurry up and seize the opportunity. I think it would be better for them to get engaged in five days."
Kelsey's father and mother also nodded, looking at Jacob with satisfaction. "You're right, Ms. Oliveira, our son and daughter have a good relationship, so it would be better if they get engaged as soon as possible. How about it, Kelsey?"
Kelsey stroked the table with her fingers and looked at Jacob shyly. "I'm fine, but I want to ask Jessica to be my bridesmaid. We're going to be a family after all."
Jessica paused in her steps as she was about to leave.
She turned back to look at Kelsey, her expression still calm and expressionless.
"I may have something to do in five days, so I won't be able to attend Jacob and Kelsey's engagement party, so I'm the first one here to wish you a happy engagement and a long and lasting life."
As soon as the words fell, everyone smiled with satisfaction.
Jacob's father, Damien Oliveira, laughed louder. "Our daughter has grown up. It seems that even if Kelsey marries into our family, she won't be afraid of having no friends."
Only Jacob stared at Jessica with dark eyes and obscure expression.
Jessica then pulled Selena away. She did not eat anything from beginning to end.
She felt a bloating pain in her stomach, so she covered it and slowly crouched down.
Selena looked at her with concern, her tone so anxious that she almost cried out.
"Jessie, he is such a jerk! It's fine if he's breaking up with you, but he's getting married to someone else so soon?"
Jessica was exhausted. She shook her head and looked at her best friend pleadingly. "Selena, please take me back first."
When she got home, the living room was pitch black.
But she did not turn on the light, instead she groped in the dark and opened the door to her room.
In the next second, a pair of strong hands grabbed her arms and pulled her into the room.
Before she could even scream, Jacob covered her mouth.
Then the hot and forceful kiss slowly moved down, along her cheek to her neck, leaving bright red marks.
She grasped his arm, barely controlling her desire to moan.
But the next second, he leaned over to her ear and said, "You can let out your moan this time, Mom and Dad are not back yet."
The warm breath was blowing beside her ears and Jessica dodged as usual, trying to break free from his control.
But the more she tried to escape, the harder he restrained her. In the end, he pushed her onto the bed and kissed her fiercely.
A few seconds later, a knocking sounded and Jessica's body trembled.
She raised her hand to push the man away, but he remained motionless.
Outside the door, Florence looked at her daughter's closed door with a puzzled look on her face. "Jessie, are you in there?"
Jessica opened her mouth, to say something to deceive her mother, but she did not expect Jacob to reach out and cover her mouth.
He leaned over to her ear, his voice gentle and low enough for only the two of them to hear.
"Weren't you quite talkative at the dinner table today? Call me your brother and Kelsey your sister-in-law and wish us a happy engagement and a long and lasting life?"
"Now let Mom come in and let her see what our relationship is like. Let her see how the brother threw his sister onto the bed and how he took off her clothes one by one."
He covered her mouth. She could not utter a word and could only look at him with horror.
The next second, Florence, who was standing outside the door, turned the door handle and tried to come in.
