Chapter 1
Jessica was a well-known good girl in the circle.
The most absurd thing she had ever done was to date her so-called brother.
The two of them stayed together night after night and every time they finished, she would fantasize about Jacob taking her abroad to get married.
Until one day, Jessica fainted due to low blood sugar, she heard the loud ridicule of Jacob and his friends.
"Jacob, didn't you say you were with her just for fun? You and her brother are sworn enemies, are you serious now?"
Jacob sneered. "How could I fall in love with my sworn enemy's sister? Besides, I was right beside her parents when they had the car accident. There can't be love between enemies."
As soon as she was discharged from the hospital, she called her aunt.
"Aunty, I've made up my mind. I'll go to Paris with you."

"Aunty, I've made up my mind. I'll go to Paris with you and leave the Oliveiras."
Her aunt, Paula Lawrence, on the other end of the phone was stunned for a moment and then her tone was full of joy. "That's great, Jessie, I will arrange a visa for you right now. It will take about a week. So you can say goodbye to your adoptive parents while waiting for your visa."
"Especially your brothers. They have been taking care of you since your parents passed away. You must be grateful to them."
Jessica lowered her eyes and responded, "Okay, I will thank my brother and ...."
Before she could finish her words, the door was pushed open from the outside.
She immediately hung up the phone and looked up at Jacob, who was walking towards her.
He raised an eyebrow and placed the plate in his hand on the table. "Mom said you didn't eat because your stomach wasn't feeling well? Let me see what's going on."
He said as he reached his palm into her clothes and caressed her.
He chuckled and pushed her onto the bed, then leaned down on top of her with a swaggering smile on his face.
"I heard that vigorous exercise is good for physical health. How about we give it a try?"
The warm breath hit her ears. Jessica wanted to push him away, but she did not know what she thought of, she reached out and hugged his neck.
The moment she reached the depths of her emotions and pleasure, she could not help moaning. Jacob immediately covered her mouth.
The man had a smirk on his face, but his voice was gentle as he leaned over to her ear. "Be quiet, mom and dad are still in the living room."
After several rounds, he finally let her go, picked up the scattered clothes from the floor and put them on.
Before leaving, he picked up the cold dishes from the table, leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. "Have a good rest, I'm going to go out and do something."
She nodded obediently, then watched his figure walking further and further away.
No one knew, her boyfriend was her brother, Jacob Oliveira.
No one knew, he would come to her room almost every night, sleep on the same bed with her and whisper in her ear.
When she was sixteen years old, her parents passed away in a car accident, then her father's best friend brought her over and raised her in the Oliveira Family.
In seventeen years old, she considered Jacob her older brother and Jacob considered her his younger sister. Everyone knew he doted on her.
In eighteen years old, Jacob happened to come in and see her innermost thoughts in her diary when she was beginning to fall in love.
But he did not tell her, instead he confessed to her on his birthday.
He said, "You don't need to prepare a birthday gift for me, because you are the best gift I have ever received."
That night, they tasted the forbidden fruit for the first time and they made love night after night.
Jessica Oliveira was a well-known good girl in the circle. The most ridiculous thing she had ever done was to fall in love with her so-called brother.
After every night, she would hide under the blanket and search for information in secret, then fantasize that Jacob could take her abroad to get married and that the two of them could be together in public.
But all her fantasies ended three days ago when she fainted due to low blood sugar and happened to overhear the conversation between Jacob and his best friends.
That day, she fainted while shopping because she did not have breakfast.
In her half consciousness, she felt like she had been taken to the hospital by Jacob.
Just as she was about to open her eyes, she heard someone questioning.
"Jacob, didn't you say you were just having fun with her? Why did you rush over as soon as you heard that she fainted? You're not serious, are you?"
"Yeah ... when we were together, didn't you say you wanted to take revenge on her brother? We all know that you and her brother are sworn enemies, but she didn't know."
What revenge?
What enemy?
Jessica tightly grasped the blanket on the hospital bed, trying not to make a sound.
The next second, she heard Jacob's cold voice. "Her brother took away the award that should have belonged to me and he always outshined me in everything, so how could I possibly fall in love with the sister of my sworn enemy?"
"Besides, I was there when her parents and brother had the car accident, but I didn't save them. So it seems that Jessica and I are enemies, right? Have you ever seen enemies truly love each other?"
In an instant, the entire ward burst into laughter.
No one saw her tears falling drop by drop on the pillow, wetting it.
So she could have had a complete and happy family forever, but just because her own brother snatched away an award, Jacob chose not to save them.
Not only that, in order to continue seeking revenge, he pretended to love her, chose to be with her and fought to death to linger with her.
Jessica did not know how to react. She felt a severe chill all over her body.
When she was discharged from the hospital, she found that her aunt had sent her a message.
[Jessie, I heard that you fainted a few days ago. Is it serious? Do you want to come and live with me in France?]
[I know the Oliveiras treats you very well. You have been living there since you were sixteen years old, but you're not related by blood. If you encounter any danger in the future, I won't be able to help you, so I want to bring you over here. I will support you in whatever you want to do after you come here. Jessie, please consider it.]
Jessica did not respond to her message at first, because as her aunt said, the Oliveira Family treated her very well, even like their own daughter.
However, every night, when Jacob came to see her and made love with her, she would recall what she heard in the hospital that day.
She dreamed about the day her parents and brother died.
Just then, she finally decided to give up.
Give up the unhealthy relationship and give up Jacob as a person.
Chapter 2
After lying in bed for three hours, the discomfort on Jessica's body slowly disappeared.
She took out a new set of outfit from the closet and put them on, then went to the study to get her household registration book and prepared to go out to apply for a visa.
As soon as she went downstairs, she saw the unfamiliar woman sitting on the sofa.
"What did you do in the study just now?"
A voice sounded behind her. Jessica suddenly turned around and saw Jacob standing at the door of her room.
"I was just about to knock on your door to tell you that it was time to eat, but I saw you coming out of the study ...."
Afraid of him delving deeper, she responded with a bit flat tone, "Nothing, when did you come back, Jacob?"
Hearing how she called him, his smile froze and his eyes carried a hint of doubt.
Perhaps from the day they got together when she was eighteen years old, she stopped calling him Jacob, but calling him "Coby".
Only when she could not bear it anymore in bed could he hear her soft voice calling him "Baby".
She said she did not want to be his sister, she just wanted to be his lover.
Now she started calling him "Jacob" again, Jacob put away the smile on his face. Just as he was about to ask something, he heard his mother's voice, Florence Oliveira.
"Jacob, Jessica, come down. Kelsey is here today, so let's have a meal together."
Kelsey Reagan stood up and reached out her hand towards Jessica, saying, "I am Kelsey Reagan, Jacob's girlfriend. I guess you are Jacob's sister. From now on, you will also be my sister."
Jacob, who was walking behind Jessica, could not help but turn his head to look at her, only to see her calm expression.
She tried hard to control her emotions and reached out her hand to shake hands with Kelsey.
Florence was so happy to see the scene. "Jessie, Kelsey will be your sister-in-law from now on. You two should get along well with each other ...."
Before she could finish her words, Jacob pulled Jessica's wrist and walked to the kitchen, saying, "Mom, I'll serve dishes with Jessie."
As soon as he made sure that the people sitting in the living room could not see him, he leaned over, put his arms around Jessie's waist and kissed her on the cheek.
Before he could even open his mouth, Jessica pushed him away. "Hurry up and serve the dishes, your girlfriend is still waiting outside for dinner."
Hearing how she addressed Kelsey, he raised his eyebrows and chuckled. "Are you jealous? Kelsey's dad and our dad are good friends. Kelsey and I are college classmates, so when Mom and Dad wanted to introduce me to a girlfriend, I simply pulled her over. But I promise that she and I are just acting."
He spoke and leaned down again to kiss Jessica's lips.
"Your sister-in-law can only be you and my wife can only be you, so don't be angry, okay?"
She listened to his words expressionlessly, nodded casually and walked out of the kitchen with the dishes in hand.
When the dishes were served, a large handful of bright and fresh red roses were placed in the center of the table.
Roses was Kelsey's favorite flower. She said she could eat more when looking at the flowers, so Florence specially asked someone to expedite the delivery here.
But too bad, Jessica was allergic to roses.
The whole family knew about it, but they chose to ignore her for Kelsey.
Roses were the most suitable flowers to send to lovers.
Jacob only gave her pink baby breath because he knew she was allergic to roses and he always carefully observed all her preferences.
But this time, she felt extremely upset because of the roses and Jacob could only see Kelsey in his eyes.
He helped her cut steak and peel shrimp, doing all the things he had done for Jessica before.
At this moment, she clearly felt that she was just an outsider.
Jessica did not eat much and put down her cutlery. Just as she was about to leave, she was stopped by Kelsey.
"Jessica, are you going out? Jacob and I are going on a date later, so if it's convenient, we can give you a ride."
It was obvious that Jessica was about to refuse, but Jacob's tone left no room for doubt. "You get carsick. I don't feel comfortable letting you take someone else's car. Let me give you a ride."
Jessica could not help but grasp the household registration book in her bag.
She was going to the Department of State to apply for a visa. If she asked Jacob to take her there, wouldn't he know that she was going to France?
But looking at the man's expression, she sighed and agreed reluctantly.
Walking to the car, she glanced at Kelsey who was chatting and laughing with Jacob, opened the door and sat in the back seat.
Just as she was about to close the car door, Kelsey raised her hand to stop her.
"Jessica, Jacob said you get carsick? Then I'll sit with you in the back seat. If you feel uncomfortable, at least I'll be able to take care of you."
Jessica did not understand what she meant, but nodded anyway.
The car slowly drove out, getting farther and farther away from the Oliveira Family's house.
She felt a bit dizzy. When she was just about to lean back in her seat and close her eyes to rest for a while, she heard Kelsey whispering in her ear.
"I have no plan to help Jacob act. Ms. Florence likes me and I also like the Oliveiras. I am determined to marry into Jacob's family. But I know you are Jacob's girlfriend, so why don't we prove it out to see who is more important in Jacob's heart, you or me."
Chapter 3
Jessica opened her eyes and looked at Kelsey in shock, only to see her take out her mobile phone with a provocative look and send a message.
Three minutes after the message was sent out, the phone placed on the seat rang.
Kelsey picked up the phone and after a few seconds pretended to be shocked and regretful, then looked towards the driver's seat as if he wanted to say something.
The man noticed and said in a gentle tone, "What's wrong?"
She pretended to have no choice but to speak up. "Jacob, my friend just said that the park we were going to was closed and my dad happened to send me a message saying that he wanted to see you, but it was a bit out of the way."
He stopped the car and turned to look at Kelsey. Just as he was about to speak, he heard her say again,
"I forgot that Jessica got carsick, why don't we send her off first? I'll send a message to my dad and ask him to wait for a while."
The gaze that fell on Kelsey turned to Jessica.
Jacob unlocked the car door and said, "I'm going to meet her parents with her now. If you have anything to do, you can take a taxi."
Kelsey picked up the bag she had placed on the seat and handed it to her, pretending to be worried. "Jessica, you must be careful. Jacob and I will leave first."
As soon as she got off the car, he could not wait to drive away.
The wheels rolled over a puddle on the side of the road and a pool of dirty water splashed onto Jessica's white dress.
She lowered her eyes and looked at her dress splashed with dirty water.
If Jacob had been a little more patient, he would have discovered that she was about to leave.
If he had been more careful, he would have discovered that Kelsey was pretending.
However, he would not find out about it because he did not love her at all.
Not long after, it started to rain and Jessica could not even get a taxi.
She had no choice but to call her best friend, Selena William.
Not long after, a cool sports car stopped on the roadside and the car glass moved down. "Jessie, get in the car!"
In the car, Selena looked at her with reluctance and asked, "Are you really going to settle down in France?"
Jessica nodded as she replied, "Mmm ... and I won't come back."
Hearing these words, Selena showed a surprised expression and said, "What about your brother? Are you going to France to get engaged?"
Selena was her best friend in Los Angeles and she did not hide anything about her relationship with Jacob from Selena.
Now hearing her ask this, Jessica unconsciously clenched her fingers and gazed out the window. "He and I are over and I won't like him anymore."
Her best friend then guessed something.
She witnessed Jessica's pain, struggle and happiness and also knew that the two of them had planned to get married abroad before. Now, although she was surprised to hear her say she gave up, she also knew that she must be sad.
"It's okay, just apply for a visa and have a good and proper relationship in France!"
Hearing her best friend's comfort words, Jessica revealed a smile.
Yes, she still had a long life ahead of her and there were more men than just Jacob in this world. She could completely start a new life.
At the Department of State, she quickly completed the visa application.
Selena put her arm around her shoulders and pondered as she said, "To celebrate the beginning of your happy life, I'll take you out for a big meal."
She took her to the largest restaurant in Los Angeles and even forced her to sit in the largest private room.
As soon as the two of them arrived, the staff said that the restaurant had been booked for a day and they could not have a meal there today.
Just as they were about to leave, they heard a familiar voice.
"Jessie, Selena, why are you here? Since you're here, come in and have a meal together."
Florence looked at the two girls with joy on her face. "Today, your dad and I will have a meal with Kelsey's parents. We plan to arrange their engagement. You two should come along as well, just to give your brother some ideas."
