Chapter 3

As the farce approached its conclusion, I stood up, directing my gaze at Angel.

"I don't need you to buy me a better one. Just compensate for this cup."

Angel burst into laughter, struggling to catch her breath.

"You're such a miser. Does it have to be a three-dollar cup? Fine. I'll find one just like yours and pay you back!"

I let her laughter die down before responding calmly, "This cup is worth 170,000 dollars. It's a limited edition from Baccarat. You can verify it online."

Angel froze for a moment before laughing again.

"Did you hear that? She thinks this imitation is worth 170,000 dollars. She's desperate to compare herself to Kimberly!"

Her entourage joined in the laughter.

"Oh my, I can't take it anymore. Today's laughs are all thanks to Samantha."

"Hey, keep it down. Everyone outside is watching us."

"Samantha, are you poor and crazy? Is this an attempt to blackmail her?"

Only Kimberly sat silently, her face pale. I glanced at her, a slight smile forming.

Isabel checked the time.

"Lunch break is almost over. Let's head back."

Angel scoffed and turned to leave, but I gently pulled her wrist.

"You haven't compensated me for my cup yet!"

Angel frowned and shouted, "Samantha, are you out of your mind? Do you want to blackmail me? I'll call the police!"

I raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "Go ahead!"

Flustered, Angel called the police. They arrived quickly as the crowd gathered.

With a condescending look, Angel pointed at me, saying, "Officers, that's her! She claims her cup is worth 170,000 dollars and is demanding compensation!"

The officer collected the cup fragments and asked me questions.

I provided e-shopping invoices, receipts, payment records, and customs declarations.

In front of everyone, the officer announced, "Ms. Oliver, our verification confirms this cup is genuine and worth 170,000 dollars. The surveillance shows you broke it intentionally, and you promised to pay for the damages. You must compensate at the original price."

Angel was momentarily stunned, then turned to Kimberly, pleading, "Kimberly, help me. Didn't you say your cup is a global limited edition? How could Samantha's be real?"

All eyes shifted to Kimberly, waiting for her response.

Her face turned ashen as she pushed Angel away. "Let go of me. Don't ask me, I don't know."

The officer added, "We are handling the case impartially. If anyone can prove this cup is fake, we welcome that evidence."

I smiled at Kimberly, saying calmly, "You should know best whether my cup is genuine, right?"

Cold sweat broke out on her forehead as she glared at me.

Chapter 4

"Yes, I can prove that the cup of Samantha is authentic," Kimberly declared, shocking the crowd.

Her followers, especially Angel, were left in disbelief.

"Kimberly, how could you say that? If you hadn't claimed your cup was unique, I wouldn't have thought Samantha's was fake. Are you trying to trick us?"

Angel yelled at Kimberly in front of so many people. How could Kimberly, who has always been vain, bear it?

Kimberly immediately turned hostile and refused to admit it.

"I was just speaking casually. You took it too seriously. You broke the cup, not me!"

Angel, furious, grabbed Kimberly's collar.

"No, you're responsible too. You need to help me pay for it. For your family, 170,000 dollars is nothing, especially since I've been your follower for so long!"

The police saw that what happened next had nothing to do with them and left quickly.

The crowd gathered around Kimberly and Angel, eager to watch the fun.

"What's happening? Samantha looks ordinary, yet her cup is worth 170,000 dollars?"

"I'm curious about Kimberly. She claimed her cup was one of a kind. If Samantha's is real, what does that mean for hers?"

"Don't jump to conclusions. Kimberly is the boss' daughter. She wouldn't use a fake!"

Isabel, sensing the tension, stepped in. "Angel, calm down. Kimberly, why do you say Samantha's cup is real?"

The crowd murmured, waiting for an explanation.

I knew Kimberly wasn't foolish. I had enough evidence against her. If she claimed her cup was fake, it would only expose her deception.

I surveyed the onlookers and raised an eyebrow at Kimberly. "So, will you explain, or should I reveal the truth?"

Nervously biting her lip, Kimberly trembled.
