Chapter 2
Noah and Audrey looked at me in surprise, not expecting that I would be furious like this because before, I would let them be and wouldn't say anything about whatever they did.
"Noah, this is our anniversary, and you let this bitch join us! Are you guys together behind my back?" I shouted loudly at the two of them, who looked surprised by my words.
I could see Audrey's face was bright red between embarrassment and anger. Glancing at Noah, I realized that he was not happy with what I had just said.
When I saw Noah stand up from his position, there was a slight feeling of fear in my heart, and my fear was confirmed when I felt my cheeks burned with pain when Noah slapped me right then and there.
"Watch your language! How could you accuse me of cheating on Audrey!" Noah shouted angrily as he pointed at my face with his index finger.
Because of the slap, I had to take a step back; the pain on my cheek was not worth the pain I felt in my heart. My heart was completely broken into pieces when Noah chose to defend Audrey rather than persuade me.
"You call me bitch? How dare a wench like you call me like that." Audrey also got up from her position angrily.
I could hear Audrey's footsteps approaching me, "You're indeed a bitch. You stole my man and dared to face me without shame!" This was the first time I dared to say what was in my heart, and it was quite a relief.
But instead of retreating, Audrey continued to walk towards me. Audrey unexpectedly grabbed her wine glass and poured the contents of the glass into my face.
I was too shocked by what happened, and I could only stand still, not expecting Audrey to do something like that to me.
"Jillian... Jillian... You don't deserve him at all. A spoiled girl like you should be grateful to be with someone as understanding as Noah." Audrey pushed my shoulder with her hand.
Not only that, I heard Noah and Audrey's voices start laughing at me, making several people in the restaurant look at me with disgust.
Satisfied with how they had managed to humiliate me, Noah and Audrey walked away from me while hugging intimately in front of my eyes.
"I'll pay you back for what you did to me today," I muttered while clenching my fists, already determined not to let the two of them go.
. . .
I had already decided to break up and leave Noah. It was just that I couldn't just leave without repaying what he had done to me. Especially since I've spent a lot of money supporting him over the past five years.
"Hello, mom. I'll be back home this week and I will accept your offer about that arranged marriage," I said when the phone line with my mom connected.
"You finally came to your senses, Jillian. Trust me you won't regret getting married when you back home." I could imagine my mom giggling with delight when she heard I was coming home.
"That's such a relief that you can accept me back home. See you at home, mom."
Not long after that, I heard the sound of my apartment door opening from outside, and Noah appeared after that. Unexpectedly, Noah rushed over to me and hugged me as I relaxed on the couch.
"You're not mad at me, right?" Noah glanced at me with an innocent smile.
"Why would I be mad at you?" I replied without even looking at him.
"That's my point, there's no reason for you to be angry with me. Darling, I really need money right now, can you give me some?" Noah whined while hugging my stomach.
"Like I said before-"
Before I could finish my sentence, Noah immediately cut me off.
"The profits I'll get from this investment will be given to you. Not only that, I intend to buy a ring to propose to you with this money," Noah said with sparkling eyes and kissed my hand lovingly.
I'm honestly disgusted by Noah's behaviour at the moment, but I have to restrain myself because it's not time for me to open all my cards.
I caress the side of Noah's face and end up pulling his chin closer to me.

"Take it easy, I will do anything to get you the money this week," I said with a faint smirk adorning my quite pale lips.
Noah grinned secretly, quickly released his hug on my stomach, and moved off the couch, leaving me alone.
I snorted after watching Noah walk away inside us. I wasn't going to give him what he wanted anymore right now. I just needed to gather evidence of Noah and Audrey's affair before actually leaving all these bad memories behind.
After learning about Noah and Audrey's affair, I've been monitoring their movements on social media through my second account. This time, I opened my phone to see if they intended to do something behind my back again.
And sure enough, I saw Audrey's account post a photo of her wearing red lingerie with the caption: 'Can't wait for you to come back home, baby'.
When I saw that post, I already knew who Audrey was waiting for. At the same time, I heard the sound of the door opening in the direction of Noah's room and me.
"Darling, I have to go meet my business partner. Don't wait for me to come home tonight," Noah says as he kisses my forehead before waltzing away from our apartment.
I just stared coldly at Noah as he walked away without even turning around to look at me or wait for my reply.
"Business friends? Just say that you want to go to that bitch!" I angrily hit the sofa cushion I was currently hugging.
Trying to forget that Noah went to see Audrey at this time, I proceeded to stalk Audrey and Noah's social media accounts to gather evidence of their affair.
I was very shocked when I saw Audrey's account feeds; there were many photos of her with Noah, and the images were very intimate.
Not only that, when I looked at the posts in more detail, I realized that they had started a relationship two years ago.
What surprised me even more was that my other friends already knew about this affair between Noah and Audrey, but they chose to hide all this from me.
This time, I was outraged; how could they have the heart to hide all this from me? Even in front of me, they always praised me, Noah, when we decided to get engaged 6 months ago.
"Even everyone betrayed me. How foolish I am to choose to live here miserably," I muttered regretfully.
To be with Noah, I was willing to leave my home and my life. But, instead of getting back at me like this, I collapsed on the sofa after learning this fact.
. . .
Crowded voices surrounded me, unlike usual. I was pretty calm at this time despite the crowd around me. Dragging my suitcase like everyone else in this place, I was ready to leave my life here.
While waiting for my departure, I took off my sunglasses and moved them to the top of my head. There's one thing I need to do before I leave Noah and my life here in Atlanta.
"I hope you're not shocked when you see this, my dear." A smirk perched on my red lips.
My fingers quickly moved over the keyboard of my phone, typing out word after word, revealing the affair my own fiancé had had with my best friend, who turned out to be two-faced.

When your fiance cheats with your best friend]
Without hesitation, I posted all the evidence of Noah and Audrey's affair on social media, letting everyone know about what they did to me. They asked for this themselves, so I will not hesitate to make their secret public.
With this, all my mutual friends and Noah would know what he had done to me all this time. A feeling of satisfaction filled my heart when the post was successfully uploaded for everyone to see.
The sound of notification about my flight was heard. I put on my sunglasses again and moved from the waiting room to the plane, which would free me from this miserable life.
It didn't take long for me to see Noah's name pop up on my phone, endlessly calling me.
