Chapter 5

The car stopped, pulling her from her thoughts and she took her gaze away from the window to catch Alpha Clause staring at her with a look she couldn't identify in his eyes. He let a small smile touch his lips as he continued staring into her eyes. She felt her eyes go to his lips as she noticed how pink and plump they looked. She looked back into his eyes, seeing that he saw her staring at his lips.

Fay averted her gaze, licking her own lips as she felt hot from only his stare and smile. His eyes followed the movement of her tongue across her lips as they darkened with heat. As he looked back into her eyes, she realized that they were suddenly only an inch apart. She pulled back and quickly opened the door then climbed out to escape the tension. It must have been the mate bond, pulling them to each other.

She wanted to be with him, but not when they were inside the car and right when they arrived at his home. It was very improper. She stood in front of the door as he also climbed out of the door. He took her hand, bringing her gaze to him, "My one, do not run away from me because if you do, you only make me chase you harder. You are my mate and Luna, you should embrace it."

She shook her head with a smile, "I am not trying to run away, I didn't want things to escalate into something else inside a car."

His eyes turned to understanding, "I can control myself very well, even with the mate bond."

She felt herself blush slightly, yet felt impressed that he had strong self control. She heard many footsteps as they rushed towards them and she turned her face to see about fifteen werewolves run out of the pack house. More like the pack mansion since the building before them was huge. The pack house was where pack members that didn't want to live on their own lived with the Alpha and Beta. One male werewolf stood at the front of the pack as they stood in front of them.

"Alpha, welcome back. I see that you have found your mate and our Luna." The werewolf said as he bowed his head. She knew him from afar, but had never talked to him since he was of higher status before tonight.

"Yes, Connor. I have finally found her."

Alpha Clause answered him then turned to Fay, "This is my Beta, Connor, and everyone, this is Fay, your Luna."

Alpha Clause said the last part as he looked over at the rest of the people standing behind Connor.

They all came forward and bowed their heads, "Welcome Alpha and Luna."

"Thank you." Fay replied with a smile as they surrounded her and Alpha Clause.

"Luna, you are so pretty." One child that looked around ten years old said as he stared at her.

"Yes, very pretty." The rest answered.

"Luna, want to see my room?" A teenage girl of around sixteen years old said.

"Luna, come eat dinner with me." A girl of around twenty years old said.

"Luna, play with me!" A girl of around eight years old yelled.

"Okay, everyone. Luna needs to rest, she is tired and hungry. She can meet you tomorrow after she is well rested." Alpha Clause said as he looked around at the people around them.

"Yes, Alpha." They all answered and backed off to give them more space.

Alpha Clause looked back at Fay as he gave her hand a little squeeze. She smiled at him and he faced forward to lead her towards the mansion. They walked into the pack house and Beta Connor with the other pack members followed them in.

The mansion was very large, a living room was the first part they entered upon with pictures of wolves hung on the wall and some vintage looking vases on top of corner tables arranged against the wall.

There were two couches and four recliners and a TV facing them. There was a door opposite the TV, a large staircase beside it, another door on the wall adjacent to the staircase and a hallway in between the staircase and the adjacent wall.

"Wow, this place is amazing! I have never seen a house so large and with a lot of space." Fay exclaimed, amazed as she looked around.

Alpha Clause looked amused at her amazement, "Yes, indeed. I am delighted that you like it."

She nodded as he took her towards the staircase, he turned back to the rest of the pack that were still following them, "Alright, everyone. We are going to go up to eat and sleep. You can meet the Luna at breakfast and get to know her then."

"Yes, Alpha." The pack members all echoed and started walking away, some to the couch while others to their rooms.

"Connor." Alpha Clause called his Beta back as he walked to the door beside the staircase.

"Yes, Alpha." Connor answered and walked back to the Alpha.

"Have someone bring up dinner for Fay and I. We will be in my private dining room."

"Okay, I'll tell them right away." Connor replied with a nod and turned around to go to the door he was about to go in.

Fay saw the stove and kitchen counter as he opened the door and went in. That meant that the door was the kitchen's door. "Come with me, Fay."

Alpha Clause's voice took her gaze to him. He was looking at her and when he saw her attention on him, he started leading her up the stairs as she nodded. The stairs twirled in an intricate and beautiful design as they trudged up it.

"Only the Alpha and Beta live upstairs while the rest of the pack members live downstairs."

"Oh, I understand. That means only the three of us will live there now."

"Yes." He replied as they got off the stairs.

There were many doors on the floor well spaced apart even though only the Alpha and Beta lived there. They walked to one white door and he twisted the doorknob.

Chapter 6

The door opened to a very beautiful dining room, a long mahogany dining table with chairs and a chandelier hung from the ceiling. Fruits and bottles of drinks were arranged on the dining table. They walked towards the dining table as she looked around the room.

He let go of her hand as they reached the table and pulled out the chair beside the head for her to sit. She sat down, saying, "Thanks."

He nodded and pulled out his own chair at the head. He sat down and placed his arms on the table as she laced hers on her lap under the table. Fay looked up at him to see him staring at her. She felt herself blush at his penetrating stare and averted her gaze.

"So why aren't you the leader of The Five?"

"Pardon?" He asked her with one raised eyebrow that made him look hotter.

"You are clearly the strongest out of The Five. Since your parents are both Lycans."

"Yes, I am, but I don't want to leave High Valley. Alpha Mason also seems to be very capable to lead us and he is the oldest."

"So can't you still live here if you become the leader?" She asked as she noticed how well defined his jaw was as he was talking.

"No, I would have to relocate to where Alpha Mason lives now, in the middle of our lands, Aldridge, to maintain peace and order."

"But as the leader, you could still pull some strings. Maybe have your Beta stay there on the lookout."

"It is not only because of that. As I've said, Alpha Mason seems to be the right Lycan to lead us. He is the oldest, he has a mate when I didn't have one until tonight, and he is the most organized out of all of us."

"Alright, I understand. But I think you are meant to lead them because of everything I've heard about you and The Five growing up."

He looked at her in amusement and curiosity as his lips tugged up a bit, "Is that so? What else have you heard about me?"

"That you are very stern and strict that you hardly smile. I also heard that you are the fiercest in battles and that has made many afraid of going against you."

"But I smile with you, don't I? And the latter is true I suppose." He said and let out a chuckle.

"You do smile with me, but isn't that because I am your mate?"

He smiled broader at her as he took her right hand and brought it to his lips. He pressed his lips on the inside of her palm as he looked into her eyes. "Yes, Indeed, my one. I smile and laugh for you as I want you to smile and laugh for me."

She felt her own lips lift up in a smile as she couldn't pull away from his mesmerizing brown eyes, "That is how I prefer it be. You look the most handsome when you are smiling, and other shewolves won't be able to look away when you are."

He let out a deep chuckle, pulling his gaze from hers. He intertwined the fingers of the hand he kissed with his. "Is my beautiful mate jealous?"

"Yes, you are my mate and only mine." She said as she held his gaze again.

Her declaration made his pupils dilate as his wolf appreciated it. "I love how possesive you are of me, Fay. You are only mine too, I can't stand it if another male looked at you the way I do."

She smiled wider at him and it felt like they were being drawn closer to each other. Tension thickened as their faces became only a breath away. A knock on the opened door pulled them apart. Fay looked to see who had intentionally interrupted them. Alpha Clause's gaze also went to the door.

A male wolf of around twenty years of age walked in, holding a large tray of food. He had a grin on his face as some of his blond hair fell into his eyes. He was wearing a white top and dark jeans.

"Congrats, Alpha. I'm so happy you found your mate." The male wolf said as he placed the tray on the dining table. He started removing the dishes from the tray and placed them on the table.

"Thank you, Meister. Fay, this is the son of the pack house's cook, Rafael." Alpha Clause introduced as he looked from Fay to Meister.

"Nice to meet you, Meister. The dishes look so appetizing." She said as she gave him a small smile.

Meister grinned wider as he finished arranging the food on the table. "Thank you, Luna. It's very nice to meet you too."

She nodded as he turned to Alpha Clause, "I take my leave, Alpha."

"Good night." Alpha Clause replied and Meister nodded at Fay then turned around to walk to the door.

He pushed a plate of diced potatoes, shredded chicken, diced sausages and cut vegetables. "Eat, my Fay."

She smiled at him as she picked up a spoon on the table in front of her and started eating. She looked around at the other dishes to see that each was duplicated.

So there was another plate of what she was eating with two apple pies, and two liver and kidney sauce. Alpha Clause also pulled the potato dish to his front. He picked the spoon in front of him and started eating too.

"Why are you against leaving High Valley?" She asked after swallowing the food she was chewing.

He looked at her as he scooped up some food in his spoon, "I grew up here, since it was more of a valley than a city. My parents died and left me in charge of the people here."

He placed the spoon in his mouth and chewed as he took the spoon from his mouth. Even that looked hot as Fay started to notice everything about him was so hot. It wasn't the mate bond that made her think that, but he was naturally hot. The kind of hotness that makes you unable to stop staring at him when you see him.

Chapter 7

"You are very loyal and caring, that makes you a very great Alpha. We all look up to you even though we don't see you every day like the pack members that live here." She said as she pulled the liver and kidney sauce to her front and scooped some up in her spoon.

"You are going to be seeing me every day from now on, Fay." He replied as he scooped more food on his spoon as she swallowed her mouthful.

"And I love that."

"So do I, and I love that I will always have you by my side. You have no idea how long I have waited to find you, my one." He said, still holding his spoonful as her gaze went to him as she gripped her empty spoon.

Even as they were eating, she felt the strong pull of the mate bond to go to him. Their gaze connected and she couldn't pull away as he also seemed entranced with her. After a while, he smiled lightly and pulled his gaze to his spoonful. That was when she was able to pull away. It was now very apparent that he had strong self-control.

"Soon, Fay, we will be joined as one, but now, we need to eat." He murmured as he gripped his spoon and she nodded. He continued eating as she did the same.

After they have finished eating, Alpha Clause led Fay out of the dining room.

They made their way to a door on the far end and he opened it. "This is the master bedroom and my room."

She followed him in and looked around the room, "Whoa, this is four times the size of my room back at home."

The bedroom was very large and had a large bed in the middle that could fit four people comfortably. It had a light brown wood and a white bedsheet with two bedside drawers. There were two white doors beside each other facing the door and one white door adjacent to them. Even the carpet was soft and fluffy. The walls were a light blue color and a set of drawers were against the wall opposite the one with the white door.

"Do you like it?" Alpha Clause asked her as he faced her.

She turned to him and then turned back to the room, "I love it. It's beautiful."

"Then you're going to love what I'm going to show you next." He said as he walked to the two doors that were facing the room's door.

He opened the one on the left, "This is your closet."

Her eyes widened in surprise and both of her hands went to cover her mouth in shock as she smiled wider. Dozens and dozens of clothes filled it along with shoe racks and handbags hung on the walls. "Oh my God! How-When-"

"The pack's Oracle told me that I would find my mate this year so I had this prepared for her, for you." Alpha Clause said as she still looked so shocked and pleased at the same time.

"That is so thoughtful of you, but isn't it too much?" She asked him as she calmed down and let her hands hang back to her sides.

"Not even close, you deserve the world and more, Fay." He said as he looked into her eyes.

She felt her heart beat faster at the way he said her name as she looked into his brown eyes. She felt so drawn to him that she wanted to mark him then, but she calmed her wolf down and turned her gaze back to the closet. "But you didn't announce that you would be finding your mate this year."

"Yes, can you imagine how many shewolves would have come at me to claim that they are my mate? That is why I did not tell anyone, even Alpha Mason." He said as she walked into the closet. He followed her in and walked beside her as they walked around the very large closet.

"I can't imagine and I am so glad that you didn't announce it. I would have had to put some shewolves in their place." She replied as she stopped at a section with only evening dresses. She ran her hand over a lime green one to feel the material.

Alpha Clause let out a chuckle, "I would have done that before you did because I do not want anyone, but you."

His words made her look at him and their gazes locked. She could see the heat in his eyes and they were turning from brown to amber. That was his wolf's eyes as she had heard from the stories. Her mom did tell her that he would be feeling the mate bond and the need to mate and mark her more than she would. He must be fighting his wolf to stay in control, but then even like that he seemed to be more in control than her.

"I don't want anyone, but you too, Clause." She murmured as she breathed heavily from their stare-off.

His eyes became more amber as he moved closer to her in an instant. He held her chin in his hand as he continued staring into her eyes. "Do not say my name like that, my one, not when I'm trying hard not to mate with you until we have our personal mating ceremony."

Her gaze went to his lips as he spoke, they were only a few inches apart. "And when is it?"

His own gaze went to her lips as she spoke. That was when she realized that if they were going to mate after the ceremony as mates were supposed to, she would have to make sure they controlled themselves. She took a step back from him, bringing his gaze back to her light brown eyes and making his hand fall from her chin.

"Tomorrow. I want to be one with you as soon as possible." He breathed out.
