Chapter 3
"Hi." Aster greeted Fay.
"Nice to meet you, Aster."
"Nice to meet you too."
"We also have to go, it was a pleasure to know you both." Alpha Clause said to Amy and Aster.
"It was our pleasure, Alpha. Take good care of our Fay." Amy said as she glimpsed at Fay then at him.
"I will." Alpha Clause said as he glanced at Fay, meeting her eyes. She blushed at the intensity of his stare and looked at Amy.
"Bye Amy, I will call you." Fay said to her.
"Bye, you're going to make a great Luna." Amy said and Aster added quietly, "Bye."
Fay nodded as she and Alpha Clause turned around to walk to his limo. The crowd cheered again as they watched him open the car's back door for her. She climbed in then he followed, shutting the door after. He glanced at her as the driver started driving them away.
She also glimpsed at him, meeting his eyes, "Are you taking me to your home?"
"Yes, my wolf is restless and both of us can't stand being away from you after I just found you."
"I feel the same way and I can feel the pull towards you too, but I need to say good bye to my parents and pack my things."
"Okay, we'll meet your parents first. I need to get their blessings too, but you don't need to pack, I have everything you will need." He replied and she nodded.
"Where do you live?" He asked taking his gaze away from hers to look out the window.
"No. 6, hail lane, the street after this one." She answered as she also looked out the window.
He nodded and leaned over to talk to the driver, "Sebastian, we're going to no. 6, hail lane first."
"Yes, Sir. That's the next street." Sebastian's voice came through from the driver's side.
"Yes." He answered him and leaned back. He glanced at Fay with a small smile touching his lips.
"Tell me more about you, what do you like?"
She smiled at him, "Can you narrow it down? What do I like about what?"
Alpha Clause let out a chuckle, "Everything. What makes you happy, what makes you laugh and smile?"
"There are many things that I can't list them all, but one of them is finding you, my mate."
"I am happy to find you too, Fay." She felt her breath hitch at the way he said her name.
The car stopped at that moment before she could reply and he opened the door. He climbed out and she followed him out, she closed the door after. He took her hand bringing her eyes to him, he broadened his smile and led her to her parent's door. Her heart beat faster at how so much more gorgeous he looked smiling.
They reached the door and she rang the doorbell. In a few minutes, the door opened to show her mom, Selene with a surprised look on her face when she saw Fay with Alpha Clause. Her gaze went to their interlaced hands before she glanced back up at them, "Hello Alpha Clause, Fay, please come in."
"Hello Fay's mom, it's a pleasure to meet you." Alpha greeted back as he and Fay stepped into the house after Selene stepped aside for them to pass.
"It's very pleasing to meet you too, Alpha." Selene replied as she glanced at him then at Fay, "So he is your mate, one of The Five rulers of our land?"
Fay smiled at her mom's surprise, "Yes, indeed he is, and I am his."
"That's great news then. Oh, I'm so happy for you, Fay." Selene wrapped her arms around Fay then released her, stepping back.
"Thank you, mom. Where's dad?"
"He's upstairs, go into the living room with your mate. I'll go call him." Selene said as her eyes glanced from Fay to Alpha Clause.
"Okay." Fay replied and led Alpha Clause to the room on the right which was the living room as Selene walked straight to the staircase that was opposite the door.
They entered the living room and sat down on the couch, side by side. She went to take her hand away from his, but he held onto her hand tighter as he looked at her. She looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"I like holding your hand in mine, it feels so soft and delicate. That makes me think of how the rest of you will feel against my hands." He murmured as he stared into her eyes intensely.
She felt her cheeks heat up in a blush, "I like holding your hand too, but isn't it too early for you to think of that? We only met tonight."
"I don't think it's too early. I have been waiting for you, my mate for many years. But if you think it's too early and want to take things slow, then I will do as you wish, my beautiful Fay." He said as he raised up his other hand and lightly brushed it into her hair.
"Thank you, Alpha." She replied as she remembered that since he hasn't marked her yet as his mate, she wasn't supposed to look him in the eye. He was still her Alpha and one of the Lycan rulers while she was still a normal werewolf. She averted her gaze to look at his chest instead of his eyes.
He took his hand away from her hair and brought it to her chin. He lifted her head up to bring her eyes to his, "No need for that now. You are my mate, the Luna of one of The Five. Address me with my name and look into my eyes like I do with you."
She smiled as she looked into his eyes and was about to reply when they heard footsteps. He dropped his hand from her chin and they both looked to the door of the living room. Selene and Thomas walked into the living room.
Chapter 4
Alpha Clause and Fay stood up from the couch as Selene and Thomas came to stand in front of them.
"Hello Alpha Clause, we are delighted to have you as our Fay's mate." Thomas said with a grin on his face as he looked from Fay to Alpha Clause. He stretched out his hand to Alpha Clause. The Alpha let go of Fay's hand to shake her dad's hand.
"Hello, it is my utmost pleasure to be Fay's mate." He replied with a small smile.
"Do you plan on taking her with you tonight?" Thomas asked since it was in their tradition for the male to take his mate back to his home at the time they meet.
"Yes, we will be going right after greeting you." He answered as his gaze went to Fay who was watching their interaction along with Selene before it went back to Thomas.
"Very well, you should know that Fay is a Queen and you should treat her that way." Thomas said as Selene took hold of Fay's wrist and led her out of the living room.
"Yes, I understand, Sir." She heard Alphas Clause answer her dad as they stepped out of the living room.
Selene let go of her wrist and faced her, "Fay, I want to talk to you about being with your mate. I know we have had this talk many times before, but there are still some things I haven't told you about."
"Yeah, I know. I didn't know that the pull towards your mate is so strong."
"Yes, I didn't tell you that either. The need to mate with your mate is just as strong and I'm sure that you can feel it too. Alpha Clause should be feeling it stronger than you since he is a Lycan." Selene explained.
"But should we follow our wolves and mate right away?"
"Yes, it is highly encouraged to do that as soon as you meet your mate, right after the personal mating ceremony. This is because you will let everyone know that they are yours once you mark and mate them." Selene answered Fay just as Alpha Clause walked out of the living room followed by Thomas, bringing their talk to an end.
"Don't worry, I will take good care of Fay." Alpha Clause said as he looked between Thomas and Selene.
They both smiled and Thomas said, "We trust that you will, Alpha. Come visit us anytime soon."
As Thomas said the last part, he glanced at Fay then looked back at Alpha Clause. "Yes, we will."
"And hopefully with new pups about to come." Selene added with a chuckle, Thomas chuckled with her as Fay blushed and Alpha Clause smiled.
Fay turned to her mom and dad, "I will miss you two, good night. I will call you first in the morning."
Thomas wrapped her up in a bear hug and pulled back, "Okay, we're going to miss you too, Fay."
Selene hugged her too then released her, "Good night, sweetie. I'll be waiting for your call tomorrow. Have a safe journey."
Fay nodded with a small smile and both Selene and Thomas looked to Alpha Clause. They didn't meet his eyes since he was still their Alpha, "Good night, Alpha."
"Good night, it was wonderful meeting you." Alpha Clause replied as Fay moved closer to stand beside him.
Thomas and Selene nodded as he turned around and opened the door. He walked out of the door with Fay beside him to the limo. She glimpsed back at her parents to see them standing at the door, watching them. They waved at her and she raised her hand and waved at them too. She smiled wider and turned back around just as they reached the limo.
Alpha Clause opened the door and held it open for her and she climbed in. He climbed in next to her and shut the door. The driver started the car to High Valley as she looked out the window, getting lost in her thoughts. High Valley was the area Alpha Clause lived which was still in their town as Alpha Clause was their part of the land's Alpha.
Their lands were divided into four parts; The South, West, East and North. Each had their Alpha, South was ruled by Alpha Sloan, West was ruled by Alpha Wyatt, North was ruled by Alpha Nathan, East was ruled by Alpha Clause. Alpha Mason was the leader of The Five so he maintained the peace and order of the land, and made sure everything was under control.
The Five ruled their lands because they were the only remaining heirs of the First Lycans except for Alpha Ross who went Rogue. Werewolves were originally made from Lycans who were the more powerful and superior form of werewolves. The Lycans used to mate amongst themselves until some of them started finding their mates among humans. They gave birth to Lycans and werewolves.
The Lycans have more Lycan blood in them and are more powerful than the werewolves. The werewolves are less powerful lycans because of the higher amount of human blood that flows through them. When Lycans mate with werewolves, they can give birth to Lycans and werewolves depending on how much Lycan blood flows through them. When two werewolves mate, they give birth to only werewolves.
Children between werewolves and humans are either werewolves or humans, also depending on the amount of Lycan blood in them. Fay's parents were both werewolves, so she was only a werewolf, but since her mate was a Lycan, that meant she was a born leader, Luna. The mate of Alphas are called Luna as they lead their packs alongside them.
Alpha Clause's parents were both Lycans as she heard while growing up, unlike the other four Alphas that were from Lycan and werewolf parents. That meant he was stronger and more powerful than them, but why wasn't he the leader of The Five? Fay has always wondered about that, maybe it was because Alpha Mason was older or Alpha Clause grew up in High Valley and didn't want to leave there? Now that she was his mate, she could ask him and put an end to her curiosity.
Chapter 5
The car stopped, pulling her from her thoughts and she took her gaze away from the window to catch Alpha Clause staring at her with a look she couldn't identify in his eyes. He let a small smile touch his lips as he continued staring into her eyes. She felt her eyes go to his lips as she noticed how pink and plump they looked. She looked back into his eyes, seeing that he saw her staring at his lips.
Fay averted her gaze, licking her own lips as she felt hot from only his stare and smile. His eyes followed the movement of her tongue across her lips as they darkened with heat. As he looked back into her eyes, she realized that they were suddenly only an inch apart. She pulled back and quickly opened the door then climbed out to escape the tension. It must have been the mate bond, pulling them to each other.
She wanted to be with him, but not when they were inside the car and right when they arrived at his home. It was very improper. She stood in front of the door as he also climbed out of the door. He took her hand, bringing her gaze to him, "My one, do not run away from me because if you do, you only make me chase you harder. You are my mate and Luna, you should embrace it."
She shook her head with a smile, "I am not trying to run away, I didn't want things to escalate into something else inside a car."
His eyes turned to understanding, "I can control myself very well, even with the mate bond."
She felt herself blush slightly, yet felt impressed that he had strong self control. She heard many footsteps as they rushed towards them and she turned her face to see about fifteen werewolves run out of the pack house. More like the pack mansion since the building before them was huge. The pack house was where pack members that didn't want to live on their own lived with the Alpha and Beta. One male werewolf stood at the front of the pack as they stood in front of them.
"Alpha, welcome back. I see that you have found your mate and our Luna." The werewolf said as he bowed his head. She knew him from afar, but had never talked to him since he was of higher status before tonight.
"Yes, Connor. I have finally found her."
Alpha Clause answered him then turned to Fay, "This is my Beta, Connor, and everyone, this is Fay, your Luna."
Alpha Clause said the last part as he looked over at the rest of the people standing behind Connor.
They all came forward and bowed their heads, "Welcome Alpha and Luna."
"Thank you." Fay replied with a smile as they surrounded her and Alpha Clause.
"Luna, you are so pretty." One child that looked around ten years old said as he stared at her.
"Yes, very pretty." The rest answered.
"Luna, want to see my room?" A teenage girl of around sixteen years old said.
"Luna, come eat dinner with me." A girl of around twenty years old said.
"Luna, play with me!" A girl of around eight years old yelled.
"Okay, everyone. Luna needs to rest, she is tired and hungry. She can meet you tomorrow after she is well rested." Alpha Clause said as he looked around at the people around them.
"Yes, Alpha." They all answered and backed off to give them more space.
Alpha Clause looked back at Fay as he gave her hand a little squeeze. She smiled at him and he faced forward to lead her towards the mansion. They walked into the pack house and Beta Connor with the other pack members followed them in.
The mansion was very large, a living room was the first part they entered upon with pictures of wolves hung on the wall and some vintage looking vases on top of corner tables arranged against the wall.
There were two couches and four recliners and a TV facing them. There was a door opposite the TV, a large staircase beside it, another door on the wall adjacent to the staircase and a hallway in between the staircase and the adjacent wall.
"Wow, this place is amazing! I have never seen a house so large and with a lot of space." Fay exclaimed, amazed as she looked around.
Alpha Clause looked amused at her amazement, "Yes, indeed. I am delighted that you like it."
She nodded as he took her towards the staircase, he turned back to the rest of the pack that were still following them, "Alright, everyone. We are going to go up to eat and sleep. You can meet the Luna at breakfast and get to know her then."
"Yes, Alpha." The pack members all echoed and started walking away, some to the couch while others to their rooms.
"Connor." Alpha Clause called his Beta back as he walked to the door beside the staircase.
"Yes, Alpha." Connor answered and walked back to the Alpha.
"Have someone bring up dinner for Fay and I. We will be in my private dining room."
"Okay, I'll tell them right away." Connor replied with a nod and turned around to go to the door he was about to go in.
Fay saw the stove and kitchen counter as he opened the door and went in. That meant that the door was the kitchen's door. "Come with me, Fay."
Alpha Clause's voice took her gaze to him. He was looking at her and when he saw her attention on him, he started leading her up the stairs as she nodded. The stairs twirled in an intricate and beautiful design as they trudged up it.
"Only the Alpha and Beta live upstairs while the rest of the pack members live downstairs."
"Oh, I understand. That means only the three of us will live there now."
"Yes." He replied as they got off the stairs.
There were many doors on the floor well spaced apart even though only the Alpha and Beta lived there. They walked to one white door and he twisted the doorknob.
