Tears streamed out of Jennifer’s eyes. She lost her voice and became speechless.

Nathan looked stunned; he immediately wrapped the bed sheet around his waist and was about to go to her, but Christina grabbed his arm and stopped him.

“Why are you even trying to explain anything to her? She is just our slave. By the way, she is no match for you.”

Jennifer was only looking at Nathan with a disgusted feeling in her heart. She shook her head and stepped back.

As she turned around, she could not dwell on the shattered fragments of the plate. However, to her surprise, a few of the broken pieces pricked her legs, causing blood to stream from her feet. Despite the pain, it paled compared to the feeling of betrayal she had just experienced.

As she was exiting the room, Christina’s deliberate loud talking with Nathan was audible to her.

“Don’t worry, baby; when you mark me, you will become the head Alpha of our pack. You don’t need to think about that cursed omega anymore.”

Indeed, Nathan wanted that too. He wanted the throne and could sacrifice his mate for that position. So he did not come after Jennifer.

“You are right; let’s go for another round, Christina.”

Jennifer bit her lips to stop crying loudly.

“No, no. I can no longer live in this pack; no one I can call mine. I want to leave this hell right now.”

She did not go to her room; instead, she went directly to the main door.

However, some maids stopped her.

“Where are you going, Slut?”

She closed her eyes, and more tears poured out of her eyes.

“Let me go now; I am not in the mood right now.” She said to them.

She was already broke. She could not take more. Even maids called her names here. Where would she go? She could not stay here for a minute.

“Stop showing your attitude and go to Luna. She called you.”

Jennifer did not want to go but could not make her stepmother mad. Otherwise, she would do something to her that she had never imagined.

Last time she called Jennifer to do some work. Jennifer was late, so Nicole told her to strip in front of some guests.

Jennifer was so afraid that she almost passed out. Nicole forced her and told her that she would strip Jennifer by herself in front of others.

Luckily one of Jennifer’s relatives turned out to be her well-wisher. He saved her and did not let Nicole do that.

“I am going,” Jennifer said to the maids.

Her legs were shaking as she glanced upstairs. She looked away and went to her stepmother’s room, which was downstairs.

Jennifer knocked on Nicole’s door. Nicole opened the door with a bright smile as if she were just waiting for her.

“Y-You called m-me?”

Jennifer was stunned by her delighted face.

“Pack your bag,” Nicole ordered her.

She frowned when she heard Nicole.

“Why?”

“You are going to the Blood Stone pack.”

She was confused again.

“Why would I go to that pack?”

Jennifer asked her stepmother, but she was not ready to hear what Nicole was going to reply.

“I sold you to the Alpha of the Blood Stone pack, who offered to pay me one million on the condition that you marry his son.”

As if the sky had fallen over Jennifer, she stepped back. She felt someone push her from the edge, and she was about to fall.

“I can’t believe this.” She let out.

Nicole chuckled and nodded, “Exactly! I also can’t believe that someone is buying you with such a big amount of money! You are not worth it. But I am lucky enough to have it.”

Jennifer fell to her knees, losing all her hope.

“Why are you acting like this? You should be happy that you are going to be someone’s wife, although it was for a few months.”

Jennifer shook her head. “No, I won’t go there.”

She was aware of the Blood Stone pack and their upcoming Alpha, who was currently sick and unresponsive. His health was deteriorating rapidly, and his death was imminent.

Nicole came close to her, bent down, and grabbed her hair, while Jennifer hissed in pain.

“I have already sold you to that old Alpha. Now even if you don’t want to go, he will come and take you forcibly for his son. So it’s better if you go by yourself without any trouble.”

Jennifer’s eyes were on the floor. How much could she cry?

Just how much?

All of her life, she only had to cry. She could never get a mother’s love. Her father somehow died, and she lost her father’s shadow too. Now her boyfriend cheated on her.

“T-That Na-Nathan-”

Nicole let go of her hair and grabbed her jaw tightly.

“He is an eligible Alpha. My daughter likes him, and he also likes her back. So stay away from my daughter’s path. If you don’t go happily to the Blood Stone pack, I will send you to the brothel, and after that, you will realize what you have missed.”

Jennifer closed her eyes when she heard about the brothel. She knew Nicole could do anything, she was this pack’s luna, and no one would come to save a cursed omega.

She had no other way to save her life now. She could die but did want to be a plaything for male wolves.

She wanted to leave this pack anyway, then why not become someone’s bride who would die soon?

At least she could have a better life than this.

Her mate backstabbed her, so she had no hope left in this pack.

She thought about what other people always talked about that Alpha to whom she was going to be sold.

After a while, she looked up at her stepmother.

She took a deep breath and said, “I will go to the Blood Stone pack.”

Jennifer packed her bag and stood outside of the pack house. She was waiting for the men who would take her to the Blood Stone pack.

Her stepmother Nicole was standing beside her. There were no maids around them but only a few pack fighters.

Nicole grabbed Jennifer’s arm.

“Listen to me very carefully. They don’t know who you are. I didn’t tell them that you are a cursed omega with that birthmark.”

Jennifer looked at her, “What if they get to know about it?”

Nicole chuckled. “Silly girl. It will not be my problem since I have already sold you. But you will be the one who will bear the consequences. So it’s better if you shut your mouth. Don’t tell them who you are. The Alpha doesn’t know about your identity; he only wants a weak Omega who will take care of his son until he dies.”

Jennifer lowered her head without any reply.

So Nicole warned her again, “That vegetative man will never get to see your body anyway. So you should always hide your back. If anyone sees it, they will kill you. Not everyone is kind-hearted like me who will let you live here; they will slay you right then.”

Jennifer felt her life had become a joke. Why were so many things happening to her?

She turned her head inside the house. As if Nicole got what she was looking for, she said,

“Nathan will mark my daughter soon. So he does not even need to reject you. The bond will automatically end after the marking.”

Though Nicole declared it confidently, inside her heart, she was a little bit doubtful whether Nathan would really reject Jennifer if he saw her leaving. So she did not take any risk to inform anyone about Jennifer.

Three cars reached the pack house and stopped in the entrance area.

Nicole was shocked. Many men in black suits came out and stood in front of them.

Nicole realized that it was the Blood Stone pack heir’s men. However, she did not take it into mind since he would die soon, and Jennifer would never get to live a married life for one day with a lifeless man.

“Go now; I don’t have much time.” Nicole pushed Jennifer towards those men.

Jennifer controlled her steps and stood straight. She saw a few men giving some briefcases to Nicole.

“Here is your money,” one of them said.

Jennifer’s eyes widened. They gave Nicole one million dollars in cash!

She was getting sold in front of her own eyes!

Nicole’s eyes brightened up with greed.

“Please!”

A man told Jennifer and opened the car door.

Jennifer glanced at the pack house for the last time, then got in the car.

The car drove for almost twelve hours. She was alone in the car with the driver. The car was in the middle between two cars. The men in those two cars looked like they were guarding her.

‘They think I will run?’ Jennifer thought and shook her head.

The whole journey was very tiring. She tried to ask the driver many things. But most of the time, he was quiet, as if he was forbidden to speak much.

When the car arrived at the Blood Stone pack, it was afternoon time.

The Blood Stone pack was really massive and beautiful. It was far bigger than her pack. It was the most developed pack.

The car stopped in front of a palace, and the driver got down and came to open her side of the door.

The moment Jennifer came out, she saw many other people looking at her with a smile.

She almost frowned her brows at their happy faces.

‘Why do they look delighted?’ She asked herself. She could see they were not well dressed like her in inexpensive clothes.

“Hello!”

She greeted an old woman who smiled and nodded her head.

Those men who guarded her gestured to her by their hands to enter the palace.

“Alpha Mark is waiting for you inside our pack house,” Jennifer heard when she entered the palace.

‘Is a pack house? But it looks like a royal castle!’ She thought.

She was amazed by the decoration of the pack house. Her eyes fell on the old man, who looked strong.

“Welcome to the Blood Stone pack.”

Jennifer understood that he was the current Alpha. She immediately bowed to him.

The old man chuckled and nodded.

“Great, good etiquette! I wanted a girl like this for my son.”

Hearing him, Jennifer felt nervous.

“Come with me.” The Alpha told Jennifer and headed to the hallway.

Jennifer followed him behind; he stopped at a big door. He opened the door, and Jennifer entered the room with him.

“Here is my son, Alpha Raymond.”

She turned her head to the master bed and saw the most handsome man she had ever seen.

He looked like a prince who was sleeping.

She remembered what the driver told her about this man.

“Our Alpha was very strong and powerful. He turned into a vegetable by poisoning in the last war a few months ago. He was the one who helped his father’s pack to become this powerful pack we are today.”

Those driver’s words echoed in her mind. But how could she ignore what her pack members said? It was rumored that he was ruthless and violent. Anyone who messed with him ended up miserable. So, she never thought she would marry such a man.

“I have an offer for you. You can take it as my order too.”

Jennifer came out of her thoughts and turned to the old Alpha.

“Yes?” She asked softly.

The old Alpha looked straight into her eyes and said,

“I want you to bear a baby with my son within a month. If you do that, you will be rewarded with another one million.”

Jennifer was shocked and, at the same time, dumbfounded. Mostly she was embarrassed. How could he say such a thing to her so easily?

‘How can it even be possible?’ She asked herself.

She lowered her head and asked,

“B-But how can I-”

“The doctor said my son still has a physical reaction. He does not have much time in this world. I want someone who can always make others remember who Alpha Raymond was.” The old Alpha explained with an upset tone.

Jennifer could feel that man’s sadness in his voice. But it was not easy for her. She was not money hungry; it was her stepmother.

“If you can’t do this. Your life will be in danger.”

“W-What do you mean, Alpha?”

“You have to do it. Otherwise, I can do anything for my son.”

Jennifer was silent. Was he threatening her that he would kill her?

This pack and its people were ruthless. They could do that too.

“I am leaving him to you, and this room is yours from now on,” the old Alpha said and left the room.

Jennifer sighed and closed the door. She came out of hell, but little did she know it was another trap for her.

Her eyes moved to the man who was lying on the bed.

Her legs unknowingly stepped forward. She went to the bed and stood beside him.

“Alpha Raymond.” Her tongue rolled up his name softly.

She had been suppressing her wolf’s instincts for a significant period. It wasn’t until she discovered Nathan as her mate that her wolf finally emerged. Following this, her wolf ceased to resist her commands.

However, now her wolf unknowingly felt excitement just looking at this man; Jennifer did not know why.

His in-depth brows, handsome facial structure, and strong body really caught her eye.

She bent down to see him more closely.

Suddenly, his eyes opened, and she let out a scream,

“AAAAAHHH!”

Jennifer rushed out of the room and went to the living room.

Everyone heard her scream. Alpha Mark came out of his room and saw Jennifer full of sweat.

“What happened to you?!”

Jennifer sobbed without replying. She pointed her finger towards the side where Raymond’s room was.

“What do you want to say?”

“H-He opened his eyes.”

“WHAT?”

Alpha Mark’s eyes widened. He called the pack doctor immediately.

The pack doctor Robin came to the pack house hurriedly.

“Alpha, did you say he woke up?” Robin asked Alpha Mark.

“The girl saw him opening his eyes, but when I went to see him, his eyes were closed. He is still the same.” Alpha Mark replied.

Jennifer lowered her head. She did not lie; he indeed opened his eyes. She could still feel how his dark eyes pierced into her eyes.

Jennifer felt a shiver all over her body just thinking about that again.

Pack doctor Robin went to check on Raymond. After a few minutes, he came out and said,

“This is normal and does not mean Raymond has awakened.”

By the time the doctor departed, it was already nighttime.

Jennifer had dinner alone in a room and took a rest. She bandaged wounds on her legs and decided to sleep in that room after taking a shower. She did not want to go to Raymond’s room now. She was afraid after what had happened.

A maid came into the room and told her, “Alpha Mark asked for you. He is in his office room. Follow me. I will take you there.”

Jennifer went with the maid to the Alpha’s office.

The maid knocked on the door, and they heard, “Come in”.

Jennifer entered the office, and the maid left from there.

“Come and sit here’” Alpha Mark said to Jennifer. She walked to the desk and sat opposite him.

“What is your name?”

“Jennifer,” she answered.

“How about your age.”

“I’m twenty years old.”

Alpha Mark nodded and gave her a folder. But then he took it back.

“I forgot that you are not educated,” he said. But as soon as Jennifer was about to say something, he spoke out again.

“This is the marriage agreement and approval as a member of the Blood Stone pack. You have to sign it.”

He placed the papers on the desk and pointed his finger to the bottom left of the papers.

Jennifer looked at the papers. She could not get the chance to tell him that she was not illiterate. But she read those papers with a glance.

It was stated that she agreed to be Alpha Raymond’s wife. Her eyes paused at the name ‘Alpha Raymond’. He was twenty-six years old.

Jennifer was stunned that Raymond became an effective name in the werewolf world at such a young age.

She focused on other clauses. It remarked that she could not break the marriage bond no matter what. She had no say in this marriage. Only Alpha Raymond could break the agreement.

Additionally, she was now one of the respective members of the Blood Stone pack.

The word ‘respective’ grabbed all her attention, and she did not think about the other things she had just read.

She took the pen and signed the papers.

Alpha Mark smiled at her.

“Congratulations! You are a married woman now.”

Jennifer nodded her head and stood up.

“Don’t forget what I said to you in Raymond’s room. You have to work for it. That was the main reason why I decided to take a bride for my son.”

Jennifer nodded again and left the office. She did not want to talk about those matters to anyone.

She did not know if it was even possible for her.

However, Raymond was her husband now. She had to accept him no matter what.

She returned to the room where she had been. She saw a few maids standing outside the room.

“You can not stay here.”

“What do you mean?”

“You are now Alpha Raymond’s wife, so you have to stay in his room. We have set up things for you in that room. You don’t have to wear old clothes. Alpha Mark told us to arrange new clothes for you. So everything that you need is in Alpha Raymond’s room.”

Jennifer sighed when she heard the maid. She nodded and headed to Raymond’s room.

‘What will happen? He is a vegetative man. Though he opens his eyes, he can not do anything to me. So it’s okay if I sleep in that room,’ She thought.

Jennifer opened the door and was stricken dumb. The whole room was decorated as if it was a newlywed’s first night. So many roses and scented candles were here and there. There was no bright light but only a few dim lights.

Jennifer closed the door. She looked around and smiled sadly.

“I have never seen these kinds of beautiful decorations before. I became a married woman! Isn’t it funny?” She murmured.

She looked at Raymond. She found his condition close to hers. They both were in a situation where they could not get out of it. Both were caged and could not get rid of their situations.

Jennifer went to the closet. She wanted to take a shower and sleep.

But the whole closet was full of expensive clothes and lingeries.

“What the hell!”

She could not believe how foolish the maids were. Why did they put these in her closet?

She tried to find nightwear. She got a few pajamas which were very revealing clothes.

She sighed and took out one.

“It’s okay, Jennifer. He can not wake up to see you in these night dresses. So don’t worry. You can sleep and then change in the morning.” She said, patting her heart. She took a shower and went out of the bathroom.

She sat on the couch and rubbed her hair with a towel. She glanced at the coffee table.

A beautiful and well-decorated jar was placed on the table, and a glass was beside the jar. She poured the glass of water and chugged it down.

After a few minutes, she felt thirsty again. So she drank another glass of water.

Suddenly she started to feel hot.

‘Is it because of the candles? Should I blow them one by one?’

She blew out the candles and felt a little dizzy. The last candle was on the nightstand on the opposite side of where Raymond was lying.

Jennifer was going to blow it but stopped and sat down on the bed.

She was still feeling hot after blowing out the other candles. She unknowingly put off her clothes one by one to reduce the feeling of hotness.

She glanced at Raymond.

“You are not sweating, then why am I the only one feeling this heat?”

She went close to him slowly to look at him. Surprisingly, she felt better when she moved closer.

She cupped his face and laughed.

“You are so good-looking! Who said you are ruthless? You look harmless to me.”

She caressed his lips with her thumbs. Then she pressed her lips over them.

She had never done it before, not even with her boyfriend, who cheated on her.

Her hands moved down to his chest, and she realized that he was shirtless.

She did not know what happened to her or where she got the courage to take these steps.

She climbed on him and kissed his neck.

However, she felt a hand wrapped around her waist. She gasped loudly and tried to move, but the grip became tightened.

As if she had come back to her sanity, she lifted her head to look at Raymond.

Her delicate eyes met his dark eyes. Those eyes could kill anyone with just a glance.

Jennifer came back to her senses and was about to scream. But he pressed his hand over her mouth and asked,

“Are you my bride?”
