Charming the Final Boss
I'm a succubus who gathers energy by clearing System missions, adept at the game of love.
One day, right after completing a honey trap mission, I was sent to a SSS-level horror game at the very next second.
The boss was invincible and bloodthirsty, watching coolly as other players rested in pieces before turning to the rest of us. "Now choose—how do you want to die?"
While other players were wetting their pants and trying to find a loophole to survive, I picked up on something different.
A handsome, powerful target beneath that cold, horrific exterior.
Hence, when he reached me, I smiled enigmatically as I told him my wish.
"I wish to be conquered by a truly powerful Entity, dominated from soul to flesh, and to die in pure ecstasy."
I watched him pause in shock and added, "Oh, and you must do it yourself."
I am a succubus who gathers energy from System missions, and passion and desire are my favorite condiments.
But when the new mission came, it wasn't the usual love game, but a SSS-difficulty dungeon!
"By the holy light!"
The clink of plate armors echoed in the empty gothic manor, as the self-proclaimed holy knight raised his silver hammer and charged at the ever-shifting shadow dead ahead.
Every other player was backing off nervously, while I remained where I was, relaxed.
As a succubus, my sense for danger far surpassed an ordinary player's.
In fact, the Entity of ancient darkness which projected a suffocating presence of danger right in front of me was exactly my type.
Meanwhile, the holy knight's hammer swung viciously through the air, leaving a distinct silver trail in its wake… and passed through the darkness harmlessly.
"What?!" The holy knight was left dumbstruck as his weapon struck nothing, while the shadow slowly turned toward him, with stellar specks flickering within.
Then, a voice that seemed to echo from the depths of the universe rang. "Foolish."
Shocked, the holy knight tried to withdraw from the shadow, but his skin darkened rapidly where it made contact with the shadow.
As if alive, the darkness spread and consumed his flesh.
"No! No! No!!!"
The holy knight's screams rang through the night, but the corrosive darkness was rapidly crawling over his arms, his shoulders, and finally, the rest of him.
Within seconds, his now empty set of armor dropped to the ground with a loud clatter, his physical being vanishing into thin air, leaving only dust.

The icy voice of the System rang in everyone's head.

As a succubus, I gathered gold and energy through various missions assigned by the System—like just now, after I finished a honey trap mission with a Wall Street bachelor.
But even before I could savor the energy reward, I was sent to this SSS-level horror game.
There was no response when I tried to summon the terminal either.
Still, as I looked around at the other players, I felt both fear and excitement.
Their fear and despair was the purest there was, even if it wasn't the passionate energy that I loved most.
Still, I put aside my obsession over energies—surviving mattered most, and who knew if I might get something else out of this?
Licking my lips, I focused on the darkness that was the Boss as it converged and shaped the silhouette of a person.
The voice that came straight out of hell thundered again. "Welcome to The Pact. Now, pick how you want to die."
Silence ensued.
It was as if the holy knight's death wasn't even worth mentioning.
I could hear the other players hyperventilating, their hearts pounding with fear.
Some of their legs were shaking, while others were gripping their weapons tightly but afraid to move a muscle.
As for me, all my attention was drawn to the Entity before us, as I faintly sensed something in the depths of its ever-shifting darkness.
It wasn't pure malevolence or chaos, but something… more complex.
My instincts as a succubus were tingling, as I could tell that there was a powerful soul in there—one that must be conquered more than anyone else.
And I was born to conquer such prey.
"I grow tired of waiting," the darkness' voice rang impatiently. "Or perhaps you would rather your manner of death be random?"
The players began to tremble, some even falling to their knees.
Eventually, a young mage raised his shaking hand. "I-I need time to think—"
"That's unnecessary," the darkness retorted callously.
The fear around me struck me like a raging tide endlessly, but it was the imposing Entity before me that drew me in.
This was going to be the most thrilling hunt in history!
