Chapter 2

Daisy's POV

Where the hell is that jerk? Not that I care but I can't turn in my ticket to Mr. Fiddles without my partner.

I snort, Fiddles, what kind of name is that?

I am not really surprised that Hunter showed up late, in fact, I wish he gets left behind but that's not possible because of three reasons.

1. His dad is one of the partners of the school.

2. His family owns this airport

3. Both the students and teachers of Gale high school adore him and his troop of friends because they are all rich as hell.

It's not that all other students are poor or anything, after all, Gale high school is for the prestigious; we're all heirs or heiresses to something. Some are just superior to others. I look around the private section of the airport where we were currently waiting.

As if summoned by my thoughts, three sport cars show up and park in the space that was reserved specially for them. I guess they felt they were all too good compared to all the other students to consider riding with everyone in the bus like the school recommended. Hunter's friends climb out and start approaching the airport's entrance while hollering greetings and playful insults to their teammates.

As if in a chick flick in which the heroes come out of the car in slow motion and then proceed to wave their hair and laugh, Hunter and Dean exits the last car and just like that, they have everyone's attention. I hear a few girls giggling beside me and I feel like smacking sense into them. Are you blind? Hunter is a freaking asshole!

Okay, I won't lie, while Dean is really good looking; Hunter's attractiveness beats Dean's by a long shot. With his chiseled jaw, His blond hair and hazel eyes and his ripped but not overly muscular body, he is every girl's dream.

But the thing about him that annoys me is that he is the most arrogant playboy I've ever seen. He knows he's attractive and he isn't afraid to use it against girls. For me, that kills all his good-looks.

Dean on the other hand is the guy I've been crushing on since junior year, I know he also messes around with girls but he's the most laid back guy I've ever seen. I'm broken out of my train of thought as I focus on the approaching figures of Hunter and Dean.

As they walk pass me, Dean offers a "Hi Daisy" and I go red in the face. Thankfully though, he doesn't notice, but Hunter; that jerk, smirks as if he knows a secret I don't as he and Dean struts on.

"Huh, would you look at that. You're so cute. Did Dean say hi to you again? You've got to be cool about it, you seriously need lessons from the master who in case you're wondering is me" Chloe says as she and Bloom who are both my best friend approach me.

I blush harder and then mumble a weak "shut up" causing them to chuckle louder.

"Damn, he looks good enough to eat" Chloe suddenly says referring to Hunter whose back is currently facing us as he talks with his group of friends which makes me glare at her in reprimand.

As if sensing that we were talking about him, he turns and winks at Chloe who in turn goes red in the face. I snort, master, my foot.

Since Hunter a.k.a the jerk had finally decided to show up, I can now turn in my ticket. I walk up to their group and tap his shoulder. All eyes in the group turn to me; eyes belonging to Hunter, Dean, Mark, Daniel, Blake and Tyler. His friends are pretty cool though unlike him. They all mutter things like

"Hi daisy",

"What's up?"

"how ya doing?"

"looking good babe", the last one coming from Blake who flirts with anything with a skirt. I respond to their greetings while Hunter excuses himself from the conversation.

He scowls at me as soon as we're away from his friends.

"What now, did your witch coven ask you to come gouge my heart out for dinner" Hunter asks and I scowl back at him.

"We were supposed to turn in our tickets together earlier as partners and if a certain annoying brat hadn't been late, I would be happily settled in the plane by now. I wonder what Mr. Fiddles was thinking pairing me up with you" I yell at him.

"Tough luck, you're stuck with me and it's not as if I want to be paired with you either. I would've preferred someone a little bit more..............." he runs his eyes up and down my body  and turns his mouth up into a sneer "......eye catching". he completes.

I scowl harder and angrily march to where Mr. Fiddles was collecting and rearranging tickets in wishing I could strangle his arrogance out of him. At least, he had the decency to follow me. After our names had been registered, we were asked to proceed into the plane.

I was assigned the seat between Dean and Hunter making me particularly giddy, though I knew Hunter's presence would dampen my excitement a little bit but I wouldn't let it weigh me down because Dean would be there.Maybe this time, I would actually have enough courage to hold a normal conversation with him.

Making my way back to my friends, I spot Hunter shoving his tongue down a girl's throat in a corner. I shake my head in disgust and probably pity for the girl whose name I'm sure he won't remember tomorrow. Somebody then taps me on the shoulder and I fly out of my skin in fright.

"Calm down Daisy, It's just me" A deep chuckle escapes from the person who almost scared me to death and I almost melt into a puddle of goo because I'd recognize that voice anywhere.

It's Dean.

Chapter 3

Daisy's POV

"Hey" I say "what's shaking" I add.

Seriously! What's shaking? I should probably start crawling into the ground now. I quickly look over to where Hunter was still busy almost dry humping the girl he was mauling earlier and I internally sigh in relief that he can't ruin this for me if I don't ruin it for myself. Dean's gaze follows my gaze to Hunter and lifts a perfect eyebrow

"Jealous?" he asks.

No of course not "I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon and eat them" I reply fiercely.

Wow, interesting visual to give to your crush. So cute. Someone please shoot me.

Just then, someone calls his name and he sends an apologetic glance my way.

"I've got to go, see you later, seatmate" he says as he saunters away. A wave of excitement crashes over me with the reminder of spending 3 whole hours seating beside Dean. I know I'm acting pathetic but I can't help it.

I continue my search for my friends but when I couldn't locate them, I send a text to both of them informing them that I was about to board the plane and I receive a brief "k" from both of them. After taking my seat and making myself comfortable, I plug in my earphones and start bobbing my head to the music. I close my eyes and try to completely relax and catch a few zzzzs before everyone comes aboard.

I was almost off to my own happy place when I spot Dean and Hunter approaching; I discreetly check my appearance, sit up straight and run a hand through my hair to smooth it, not for Hunter but for Dean. I try to act nonchalant when in reality my heart was beating as loud as a super bass.

Finally they took their seats and didn't bother me because my eyes were still closed making them assume I was asleep. I give myself a little pep talk and urge myself to start a conversation with Dean and just when I was about to pretentiously wake up from my fake sleep, Blake hollers at Dean from the back to come and give his opinion on a very important conversation i.e. who had the biggest curves between Stephanie and Tiffany. And of course, He being the player he is did not hesitate to go and put his own two cents in, leaving me with Hunter.

"I know you are not asleep". He says.

Can't he just take a clue and leave me alone; I shut my eye harder trying to block him out.

"You know ignoring me won't make me go away right" Hunter tries to get me to respond again.

I groan "Leave me alone you jackass".

"Ah, it speaks" He says wittingly.

"Moron" I mumble under my breath. He doesn't reply so I assume he didn't hear, and I make a move to plug my earphones back in my ears when his hand suddenly grabs mine preventing me from doing so. I'm surprised by the gentleness of his touch and how weirdly good it feels. A shiver runs up my spine. I turn to face him and he releases my hand, I ignore the disappointment I feel at his actions.

When I peek a look at his face, he looks unaffected by the contact and raises an eyebrow at the look on my face which I'm sure was slightly dazed. I blame the way his touch affected me on hormones, I mean teenagers experience hormone imbalance all the time right? "What" I say attempting to sound unfazed.

"Oh" he says in a hoarse voice then clears his throat and speaks again in a more mischievous tone making me narrow my eyes at him.

"I just wanted to inform you that since Mr. Fiddles said partners will share the same tent, you should sleep with one eye open. I mean you never know what can happen in the woods" He smirks and turns away just as the flight attendant orders us to fasten our seat belt. Dean comes back and settles down. As the plane took off, I decided to finally get some real sleep.

I start dreaming about a lion chasing a deer, the deer runs very fast for its life and when the lion finally catches up to the deer, they both stand up straight and shake hands. What the heck? Then next I see them wearing bikinis and relaxing on the beach both sipping margaritas. What? They start talking but I can't hear what they are saying because of an insistent tapping on my shoulders.

"Daisy wake up, we're here" someone whispers in a gentle voice.

"Geez wake up and stop slobbering all over me" another voice repeats in an annoyed tone.

No, I don't want to wake up, my pillow smells so good; I bury my nose in it and sigh in appreciation. The deer and the lion both send confused glances at me.

"Daisy" the person with the annoyed tone says in a strained voice. I slowly open my eyes halfway and find my face buried in the crook of Hunter's neck, my eyes snap open completely and my face heats up in mortification.

How did I even end up there? I glance at Hunter and see him smirking evilly at me "you've got a little something there" he says pointing to my chin. I hastily swipe my hands across my face and find drool at the corner of my mouth; I blush harder if that is even possible. Thank God nobody was around to witness my embarrassment. It suddenly hits me that I was sitting between two people and that it was two people that tried to wake me up.

Oh my God, Dean.

I bring myself to turn around and face Dean to find an amused smirk on his handsome face. He saw me drooling! God, I should probably start planning my future. Let's see, after getting off this plane, I'll change my name to Mrs. Cat, move to Antarctica, build an igloo and have 50 penguins as pets

Hunter clears his throat, drawing my attention to him and then points to his Jacket on which I had; oh so gracefully drooled on. I'm saved from any embarrassing comment that was about to come out of Hunter's mouth, when my phone vibrates indicating that I have a message. I unlock my phone and my jaw drops at the picture staring me back in the face.

Chapter 4

Daisy's POV

I unlock my phone and my jaws drops at the picture staring me back in the face. It's a picture of me asleep, head resting cozily on Hunter's shoulder, mouth wide open (probably from the surprise of seeing a deer and a lion in bikinis), and drool dripping down the corner of my mouth. The picture was tagged: A Truly Glorious Moment. Two other texts come in and I open them, one is from Chloe and the other from Bloom.

Chloe: it was sent to the whole school seven minutes ago by Hunter..........what is going on over there? Lol

Bloom: oh my gosh, that picture is horrible..........you good?

Am I okay?

If blind rage can be considered okay, then yes I guess I'm perfectly fine. I turn to Hunter to give him a piece of my mind, when I decide against it. We are going to share the same tent right? Karma is a bitch and revenge is its sister.

Just you wait, jerk.

I start mentally cooking up my revenge plan when I notice that we are no longer in the air. I gather my purse and make my way towards the bus taking us to the camping site.

Immediately I got in the bus, Chloe and Bloom wave me over and I go to take my seat beside them. My butt hadn't yet met the seat before they started fawning over me. Bloom was the first to attack me with her concern.

"Are you okay? Don't be bothered by people's stares, you know they'll soon forget. I didn't know you really meant it when you said you guys hated each other. Gosh, you probably think I'm a horrible friend, I mean I should always be on your side and not be falling in love with Blake, who is Hunter's friend"

Okay, where did that come from?

I stare in shock at my best friend. Bloom is in love with Blake? I try to ask what she means but she was still busy rambling. She always rambles when she is worried, angry, nervous and confused. I turn to Chloe and see that she is wearing a shocked expression on her face probably mirroring mine. We turn back to Bloom but she was still busy rambling.

"That means I'm disloyal to you as a best friend right. It's not my fault though, I mean who can resist his steely eyes, chiseled face, soft hair, oh wait, I don't know if his hair is soft but it does look like it. It's not as if I'll ever get to touch it though. He's a player and I'm a nobody, he probably doesn't even know I ........." Her eyes suddenly widens as if just realizing where she was and what she said.

"You're in love with Blake??" Chloe screeches hysterically making us jump.

Bloom quickly looks around to make sure nobody heard, after seeing that nobody was paying attention to us despite Chloe's sudden outburst, she turns to Chloe and fix her with a disapproving glare.

"Geez Chloe, say it any louder and the whole planet will hear you".

"I'm sorry" Chloe apologizes. "But are you really in love with Blake? Why didn't you tell us? We're your best friends. I don't know if I should be hurt or give in to my inner fan girl who has already started writing you and Blake's romance novel" Chloe adds.

Despite Chloe's take no prisoner attitude, she is the biggest softie I've ever known and the most hopeless romantic of us three.

I'm still in shock from Bloom's revelation, so I keep my mouth shut.

"I'm sorry guys, it started as a silly crush and I kept telling myself I'd get over it. But my feelings got stronger and now here I am, the pathetic wall flower crushing on the football captain. It's really sweet when you see it in the movies and novels because you know they'll both get together in the end but it sucks in real life. It hurts a lot whenever I see him with another girl. I don't even know why I bother because I know I'll never have him but it's just so......." She burst into tears.

"Awww, Bloom" I and Chloe say sympathetically as we pull Bloom into a group hug, my picture problem forgotten. She sobs for a while and then finally stops but we still kept her in our warm cocoon to assure her that we are there for her.

The bus starts when the teachers have completely ensured that everyone was on the bus. Bloom sniffs "You guys can let me go now, I'm okay" she mutters. We reluctantly release her. "Thanks guys" she smiles at us.

"You don't have to thank us, we'll always be here for you. Just so you know, you're not a horrible friend, and you are definitely not a wallflower. If only you take your time to notice how people stare at you all the time, you will see". I say.

It's true though, with her 'as black as midnight' hair, her grey eyes and curvy body, Bloom is the definition of stunning but even though she tries to hide it, she is sometimes extremely self conscious. Chloe on the other hand could pass for a model. She is extremely tall and gracious. She has blond hair with green eyes and has that classical beauty all ladies want. What makes them the best though is their heart, and if Blake doesn't notice Bloom then it's his loss. We fall into a comfortable silence and I plug in my earphones. In case you haven't noticed, I love music.

1 hour, 30 minutes later, we finally reach the location for our so called camping. I think this is just an opportunity for teachers to relax while not having to worry about work and students if you ask me. We all get off the bus and wait for the hired men to unload our baggage and set up our tents while the hired maids prepare the grill because let's face it, this project is more for relaxation than work. I wait with my best friends sitting under a tree chatting about trivial things.

A shadow soon falls on us and when I look up to check out what was suddenly blocking our sunlight, I find Hunter and his friends looming over us.

"Ladies, do you mind if we join you" Tyler, always the charming one asks.

Before I get a chance to say no, Chloe responds "Sure, go ahead, we don't mind at all".

The guys start making themselves comfortable. I send her a glare but she wasn't looking at me. The guys were already engrossed in conversation with my friends. I send an extra glare at her for good measure but since she was seating by the tree corner, it seemed as if I was glaring at the tree.

"I wouldn't be surprised if that tree withers up and dies, you really look like an evil witch when you glare" A deep voice whispers in my ear making goose bumps appear all over my body.

I turn my face towards the person sitting beside me to see Hunter's face extremely close to mine.

Damn! This idiot really is handsome. My blue eyes meet his hazel ones and my breath catches, the catty comment I was about to make dying in my throat. My gaze slowly drops to his mouth and I swallow hard. Images of that mouth taking mine for a kiss dances through my head......gosh no! What am I thinking?

I notice his gaze also dropping to my lips and his tongue comes out to lick his.

His eyes moves back to my mine . And as if suddenly reminding himself that it was me, he snapped out of it. I also try to put on my best poker face.

"Who said you could sit here?" I try to make the tension disappear.

"Your friend seemed more than happy to have me here" He replies with a smug smirk. Idiot.

"You are not..............." I start to say but was cut off by a horrified scream.
