Chapter 3

At the moment their eyes locked, a warm sensation flooded his heart. Why was he having this feeling? he asked himself quietly. He stared at the woman in front of him. She looked delicate and fragile.

Her pale white skin was glittering. It looked fresh like a baby's. It gave him this impression that the woman would definitely have come from a high class family.

She has a small oval face with a smooth tapered jaw. Her lips were plumb. Her gray almond eyes were attractive. Her hair was thick and long that reached a little before her waist.

When Kayden Diego saw her features, he couldn't help but secretly acknowledge the fact that she's really a beauty to behold.

He hadn't taken a fancy to the female species, not even when Jane Bidder was still his mate.

Lily felt very uncomfortable when her eyes and Kayden Diego's met. She felt like she'd known him before. But the way he looked at her from her head to her toes, it seemed like he was scrutinizing her and she's uncomfortable with it.

"My name is Kayden Diego and I am a 3000 years old werewolf Lord..."he trailed off when he saw she was looking frightened. She raised her head and stared at him with panic in her eyes.

Was she afraid of him already? "What now, are you scared of me?" Kayden Diego asked. Lily shook her head to imply she's not scared of him but her eyes betrayed her claim. The look on those eyes obviously gave her away as been afraid of the werewolf Lord.

Since she claimed not to be scared, he would continue saying what he was saying before he trailed off " Anyways, I found you at the verge of death and rescued you. You lost too much blood and I had to give you my own blood if you were to survive. Typically speaking, my blood was transfused into you to save you and that blood is a werewolf blood.

In other words, you have become partly human and partly a werewolf. And since you now have the werewolf blood running through your vein, you are likely to turn into a werewolf on a full moon.

Being a human, you can eat normal food like other humans as well but don't be surprised when you start craving for meat and dietary food. That would be normal for the werewolf part of you." Kayden Diego explained the important details to her. She's yet to understand her new personality and since he made her a werewolf, he had to take his time to explain some basics.

"You had a bullet injury in the heart when you were shot twice but I healed you with my Powers" Kayden Diego added.

But to his utmost surprise, the woman seated in front of him clutched herself together like in a hug and was asking herself a question whether he had indeed seen her body?

Kayden Diego squinted, he could hear her thoughts. Humans can be senseless at times. He just told her he saved her and cured her bullet injury and the last thing she could think about was if he saw her body.

"I am not interested in your body. The only thing that would have appealed to me about you would have been me, tearing and devouring your flesh" Kayden Diego replied her thoughts with an attitude of irritation.

Lily snapped her head up and stared at him. How did he know what she was thinking? This werewolf Lord or whatever he called himself must have been a mind reader. When her eyes met his again, she felt an indescribable feeling and quickly averted her eyes.

And still Kayden Diego still heard her thoughts. He smiled faintly before assuming his expressionless face again. He rarely smiles and when he does, it's when he's with those he's intimate with and it's usually very brief.

This woman called him a mind reader. She can't understand yet that he had the ability to read her thoughts. She's having his blood and can easily understand her feelings and thoughts just like she can also understand him when she trains her mind.

No human or werewolf can understand him as much as she can when her mind becomes trained. She's an integral part of him and their lives have become interwoven. He doesn't know why he did so much for a total stranger but felt excited doing it.

He hoped in the near future, she would be able to telepathically communicate with him. "Tell me who you are and why would someone want you dead?"

Kayden Diego's question made Lily shiver.

"Who is she?" She asked herself the same question. She squinted, blinked several times but couldn't recall a thing about herself. The only thing she remembers was the dream she woke up from.

And why would anyone want her dead?

"I am Lily, I guess," She replied.

Kayden already heard her confused mind. She had definitely lost her memory. This will really be difficult for her to accept.

"If you're not sure, how did you know you are Lily?" Kayden Diego asked.

"I remembered that someone called me Lily (she blinked her eyes several times to see if she could remember who that person was but couldn't) before it seemed like I fell off a cliff or something" She replied with a worried expression.

It's so pathetic that a grown woman like her couldn't remember a thing about herself.

Kayden Diego's brow raised slightly, this woman had indeed fallen off a cliff. She can't remember anything else besides the falling?

"You really can't remember anything else?" Kayden Diego asked but it was more of a statement than a question. He could already guess she might be suffering from amnesia.

Chapter 4

Lily nodded in affirmation. Her eyes became teary. The severe headache she felt earlier was panting her painfully and is very painful. Perhaps She should stop trying to remember her past.

Kayden Diego saw her tears, he turned his eyes away. Someone or a group of people wanted this woman dead. He doesn't know what she had done or what their reasons were, but they could have at least informed the police and let them do their job rather than take her life into their hands. Or could it be they wanted to murder her for a gain?

He would have Justin Stone investigate who this woman truly was. "How long have I been unconscious?" Lily asked.

"Four days,"Kayden Diego answered simply.

It's been four days since this woman has been under severe intensive care from a werewolf doctor. He couldn't take the injured woman to the hospital because first, he would have to give an explanation on how and where he found her and secondly, she wouldn't have been able to make it to the hospital. She would definitely have died before ever reaching the hospital.

If it hadn't been for the special healing power of his clan and the medical excellence of his doctor, she would never have had the chance of being alive.

She would have died and rot away at the valley of the cliff without anyone knowing or giving her tattered body a burial.

He found her many kilometers away from their city but didn't know which city she came from. In his werewolf form, he could run swiftly and cover many kilometers in a minute.

He had used his werewolf healing power to hasten her recovery and healed her bullet injury but doctor Ning had taken his blood and transfused it into her as a result of her excessive blood loss.

"Where did you find me?" Lily asked like a child who had just realized her mother didn't get her a candy from the grocery store. She wants to know if he found her below a cliff or not. If yes he found her below a cliff then, what she thought was a dream is no doubt a minute piece of her memory and if otherwise, then it's an ordinary dream.

" I found you mid-way below a cliff," Kayden Diego replied. He can't possibly explain to her that he was on a full moon rampage when he happened to hear human voices from afar.

With eagerness to devour the humans and feast on them he went towards the direction of where the voice was coming from. Before he could get to them, he heard two gunshots and a scream.

Following the scream, he saw a body falling and instantly dived toward it and caught it Midway before it ever got to the bottom of the cliff.

As he carried her on his back, they both reached the bottom of the cliff but the wounded woman was bleeding immensely. He gave a loud howl, summonings his pack members around who immediately assembled themselves before him. They gladly took the wounded woman to the Alpha's mansion.

Lily Cruz looked disturbed, why would anyone want her dead? Who had she offended that felt Killing her would be the only way to appease himself or herself? She desperately wants to remember her past and who that person was.

"Thank you for saving me" Lily showed appreciation and bowed slightly. Thanks to this Lord, she would have been dead already.

"You're welcome huh.. Lily. I guess I will have to start calling you Lily. You'll have to remain here for the time being until you regain your lost memory and can remember your home and your family.

Secondly, whoever that person was, who wants you dead might still be lurking around the corner. This is the only safe place you can be. Is that okay?" Kayden Diego inquired.

Lily nodded. What other options does she have when she can't even remember who she had been or who her family was?

"In the meantime, make yourself comfortable and if you need anything, tell the servants" Kayden Diego declared and stood up.

Meanwhile in Imperial City, Damian Cross was pacing back and forth in his office. The police Chief was in front of him. His worried looks and confused state made him appear really tense.

"So far Mr Damian Cross, nothing has been found about your wife's sudden disappearance. We interrogated her assistant and found out that his last conversation with madam was when she told him she was going for lunch" Police Chief Clem explained.

Damian Cross was Lily's husband. They had only been married for two years before Lily's sudden disappearance. He is a man of about 160 cm in height with a chubby look. His face was round, with hooded eyes. He wears short hair. He is not handsome to be precise but can pass a second glance.

At the officer's words, he paused and gave a sterning look at the Police chief "You have to do your job well. It's been four days already and nothing has been found about my wife's disappearance and the report from the Police is not calming my troubled heart at all" His anxiety was taking a hold on him already as he was feasibly trembling.

"I can assure you that we'll find Mrs Cross either dead or alive" Police Chief Nathan declared.

"You have to bring her alive please. Even if you have to go to the depth of hell" Damian Cross pleaded just as the Officer's walk-in talking chirped:

Chapter 5

Fetching the walk-in talking out of his pocket, the call soon got connected "Officer Nathan on the line...ok...where?..I am with her husband, we'll be right there"

Before the police chief could say anything, Damian Cross beat him to it and blurted out "what, has my wife been found?" glaring at the police officer as if he would swallow him whole if he was not fast enough in answering his question.

"Not really, but something that might give us a clue to her whereabouts" Police chief Nathan explained.

Damian Cross sighed audibly before he heard the officer ask "I am afraid you have to come along to identify some objects that were found" His colleagues have found some vital things that might be linked to Mrs Lily Cruz's whereabouts.

" Oh!.. sure I am more than willing to come along" Damian Cross agreed and took his phone and car keys and went out, walking behind the police officer .

They drove for two hours non stop until they arrived at the boundary of the city. Some policemen were already there, who seemed to have been waiting for them.

Damian Cross walked hurriedly and almost stumbled against the police officers. He was fidgeting and was sweating already.

Officer Nathan held him to prevent him from losing his self control as they both walked towards the waiting detectives.

As they stood before the detectives, they saw some items in a transparent bag, obviously these were the items they had found.

"Chief, we found this wedding band and pendant and a rope at the edge of the cliff. We want to know if Mr Damian can identify them" Assistant Police chief Durotola explained, presenting the items before the chief.

Before the Chief could ask if he could recognize the items, Damian Cross stepped forward and looked at the familiar items in the bag. Though they were in a plastic bag, it was transparent enough for him to see through.

"Oh gosh!..no..no I can't be mistaken. This is our wedding ring" Damian Cross blurted out, trembling.

He produced the one on his finger and compared the two. The officers saw it and readily agreed that it's a pair. Damian Cross was now quaking.

"And the pendant?" Chief Nathan asked. He really felt pity for the trembling man whose complexion had now gone red.

Damian Cross recognised it as well. " This is the pendant from the necklace I bought for her as a present on our first wedding anniversary". He broke down in tears, falling on his knees.

The officers looked at one another and felt sympathy for the man. It's rare to see a grown man sob like a baby. They shook their heads in pity. Sympathy was all they could offer, after all they are police officers and not professional mourners.

Everyone present could easily guess what might have happened. The young woman might have ended up below the cliff as a suicide case or a murder case.

Damian Cross said he had never seen that rope in their Villa and pleaded that they help him find his wife, saying she might be in some kind of danger.

Police chief Nathan demanded a thorough search of the entire cliff and below it. Without much ado, a rappeller was found. He got to the business of the day quickly:

He took his rope and traveled down to the bottom of the cliff while the other detectives were searching the entire surface of the cliff from one end to the other.

Damian Cross took his phone and called, "mum, I need you and Dad the most right now..yes, there's a clue. Just pray with me that Lily should be found alive, that nothing bad happens to her, otherwise, I..I.. just end my life" He stammered and was sobbing over the phone.

Police chief Nathan shook his head, pray?at this time after she'd been missing for four days? Even Buddha will not be able to do much in saving her. If nothing is found below the cliff, then they'll conclude that she might have been kidnapped but if otherwise,...

" Calm down and be a man that you are" officer Nathan tapped his shoulder gently. At least, that's all he can offer or say to him at this critical point in his life.

That's exactly what Damian Cross wanted to hear. He sniffled and cleaned his tears. Trying his hardest to appear calm and composed.

An hour later, the Rappeller came up and the first thing that the officers and Damian saw was a transparent paper bag that contained...
