Chapter 2

Jettie POV:

The dagger in my chest was made of silver. I understood immediately. The coldness was a burning pain that reached deep into my soul. An evil flame was extinguishing my wolf nature.

It was a weapon specially used to kill werewolves. My wolf soul let out one final cry deep within my mind before its existence completely disappeared.

The chill of death spread from the wound and crawled through my veins.

The Gamma token flickered as my blood touched it. Through my fading vision, I saw Caiden's face—triumphant, gloating.

Anais saw the pain in my eyes and smiled with satisfaction.

"And your noble mother, Isolde... Did she really think she could spend the rest of her life peacefully in the Sanctuary? How naive. My mother added a little 'seasoning' to her food every day. Just enough to make her slowly disappear like a withered flower. No one could ever prove anything."

One cruel truth after another struck me like heavy blows, shattering my soul into pieces. The deaths of my beloved family, which I had mourned as accidents and illness, had all been carefully planned by these despicable people and those behind them.

My entire life was a joke. I had fallen in love with the people who had murdered my family. I had shown kindness to the snakes who killed my mother and brother.

Endless regret and overwhelming hatred burned in my chest. The flames were so intense that they temporarily pushed away the coldness of approaching death.

I stared at them, using the last embers of my life to carve their faces, their voices, and every word they had spoken into the deepest part of my soul.

"Caiden Valerius... Anais Hamilton..." I silently repeated their names, every syllable carrying blood and tears. "I swear with my broken wolf soul... If there is another life... I will tear you into pieces and grind your bones to dust..."

Anais shrank timidly into Caiden's arms and suddenly burst into tears.

"Your Highness, sister is staring at me! She scared our child!"

Anais touched her stomach and looked at me proudly.

My heart was struck like lightning. "Child? When did this happen?"

"She has a child inside her too. Before she dies, let me see whether her child is a boy or a girl, okay?"

I looked up in horror and saw Caiden draw his sword and walk toward me.

"This is your child! What are you going to do?" I shouted sharply.

"The child inside Anais is mine!"

Caiden sneered coldly, his eyes full of indifference.

"No!" I struggled violently, but Caiden grabbed me and tore open my clothes.

A sharp pain spread through my body. The blade cut open my stomach, and blood poured out instantly.

A sharp scream echoed through the sky. In that instant, dark clouds rolled, lightning flashed, and thunder roared.

My vision faded to complete blackness. My body slumped back, the last thing I saw their entwined figures walking away.

I was dead. Filled with an endless, suffocating hatred.

Time ceased to have meaning. My soul drifted in an infinite void of darkness and cold.

Hate was the only thing that kept me from dissipating. Caiden, Anais, Lady Elara... their faces swam in the darkness, a repeating nightmare.

I replayed every word, every detail, piecing together the web of their conspiracy in my mind, over and over.

Suddenly, a warm, white light enveloped me.

A voice, gentle yet majestic, echoed in the very core of my being. "My child, I have seen your suffering. Vengeance will not bring you peace, but justice must be served."

The Moon Goddess. The supreme deity from all our legends.

"You are given another chance. Go. Take back what is yours. Protect those you wish to protect."

An immense force shoved my soul forward.

I felt like a meteor, plummeting through an endless expanse of time and space.

And then, I gasped, my eyes flying open.

The familiar sight of the pale purple canopy above my bed filled my vision. The air was thick with the scent of white roses, the unique fragrance of my own chambers. I was alive?

Chapter 3

Jettie POV:

I shot up in bed, gasping for air. A phantom pain flared in my chest, sharp and agonizing. My hand flew to the spot, but my fingers met only smooth, unbroken skin. There was no wound.

I looked down at my hands. They were slender, pale, a girl's hands. They held none of the calluses from years of sword practice, none of the caked blood from my final moments.

My gaze swept the room. It was mine. My chamber in Hamilton Castle. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Everything was warm and peaceful, a stark, impossible contrast to the cold, damp dungeon.

I threw back the covers and stumbled to my dressing table. The mirror reflected a young face, a fifteen-year-old face. My silver-white hair cascaded over my shoulders, my ice-blue eyes stared back at me. But the innocence was gone, replaced by the haunted, cold look of someone who had died once already.

I was reborn?

The ridiculous thought surfaced, and the Moon Goddess's words echoed in my soul—another chance.

I reached up, my trembling fingers tracing the line of my cheek where Anais had cut me. The skin was flawless. It was all a nightmare.

But the pain of betrayal, the searing hatred for my family's murderers, it was all too real, carved into my very soul. It was no dream.

I had to know the date. What day was it?

My eyes landed on the calendar on my desk. Written in elegant script were the words: Silvermoon Year, 27th day of the Harvest Moon.

My heart hammered against my ribs. The 27th... The Moon Festival was on the 28th.

I had come back to the day before it all began. The day before my world was destroyed.

A wave of hysterical joy and profound terror washed over me. I had a chance. I had a chance to change everything.

I scrambled to my wardrobe, yanking open the doors and pulling at my nightgown, checking my own body. Smooth, whole, untouched. My virtue was intact.

In my past life, it was at the Moon Festival banquet that I was framed for adultery, for betraying the royal family. That was the beginning of their plot.

I forced myself to be calm. I took a deep, shuddering breath. They had planned it all together—Anais, Lady Elara, and Caiden.

My fists clenched, my nails digging deep into my palms. The sharp sting of pain kept me grounded, kept me sane.

"Caiden... Anais... Lady Elara..." I whispered the names to my reflection, the hatred in my eyes so intense it felt like it could shatter the glass.

"This time," I vowed to the girl in the mirror, "I will not be your pawn."

"What you owe me, what you owe my mother, my brother, and the entire Hamilton Pack, I will make you repay it. A thousand times over, in the most painful way imaginable."

A soft knock came at the door. "My lady? Are you awake? Breakfast is ready."

It was Cora's voice. My loyal maid, who had been beaten to death in my past life for trying to protect me.

A sudden heat stung my eyes, and I fought back tears. I took another deep breath, forcing my voice to be steady. "Come in."

Cora pushed the door open and saw me sitting at the dressing table. She looked surprised. "My lady, you're up so early today."

I looked at her young, vibrant face, and a storm of emotions churned within me. This time, I would not let her come to harm.

I stood and walked toward her. In my past life, I had barely given this fellow Omega a second glance.

I took her hands in mine. Cora froze, her body stiff with shock.

"Cora," I said, my gaze intense and serious. "From this day forward, I need your help. Your absolute loyalty, your absolute trust. Are you willing?"

My stare was sharper and more serious than she had ever seen. She was stunned for a moment.

Then, without hesitation, she dropped to one knee. "My life is yours, my lady. Whatever you ask, Cora will follow you to the death!"

I pulled her to her feet, a flicker of strength kindling within me. "Good. Then our first task is to prepare a 'gift' for tomorrow's Moon Festival."

A cold smile touched my lips.
