Chapter 1

On the day when my husband Yosef and his mistress's son was one month old, he proposed divorce to me.

Without any hesitation, I presented all the evidence and gave Yosef two choices. Either go to court or "voluntarily" transfer a large amount of property to me.

A wife who thought for him?

Absolutely not!

I was not surprised at all when Yosef proposed divorce.

After all, his son had already been born safely, and I could understand that they were in a hurry to settle down.

"Don't worry, even if you haven't made any contributions in the past three years, you have worked hard. I will give you extra one hundred thousand dollars as compensation."

Yosef raised his eyebrows and looked at me, as if he was giving me alms.

One hundred thousand dollars?

Ridiculous. The confinement expenses for his lover were more than this.

I took out a divorce agreement from my bag and slapped it on the table. "As long as you agree to this agreement, I can sign it today."

Yosef's face turned cold and he asked me in an unfriendly, "What do you mean?"

"What do I mean? Of course it means I'll get seventy percent of all the property and you'll get thirty percent."

I wanted to have seventy percent of all the property to support myself, and thirty percent for his family of three.

Wonderful!

After reading the agreement for more than half an hour, Yosef's expression became increasingly unpleasant.

"You are so greedy." After a long while, he finally gritted his teeth and said this.

I smiled. "So, do you agree?"

"So what if I cheated? I'm not the only man in the world who cheated. I don't believe that the judge will not give me any money."

Yosef threw the agreement on the ground and looked at me with a sneer. "Besides, you're a housewife, how can they give the company to you?"

So stubborn. I turned around and walked out, ignoring Yosef's insults behind me.

Housewife?

I stepped on the accelerator and smiled wildly, it seemed that I pretended pretty well.

I was not idle on the way. I called Yosef's parents to tell them the good news of having a grandson, and asked them to come as soon as possible so that they could register their grandson's household.

They ridiculed me on the phone, and told me that as long as I could treat the child as my own, they would be able to reluctantly accept me and not let Yosef divorce me.

I acted extremely well and sincerely told them sure.

They then hung up the phone happily.

As soon as I arrived at the company, I received a call from Yosef.

He was furious, and I could tell that he wished he could eat me.

"Who told you to call my parents? Telling them will only cause trouble for me!"

That was true. Yosef's parents didn't understand any sense of propriety, morality or shame. They would be overjoyed after knowing the news and want to tell the whole world.

After all, the fact that I had been married for three years without any children had already been widely spread by his parents.

I laughed happily and thought, "This is going to be interesting."

Yosef was hiding the mistress, but his parents would tell to the whole world.

Infighting! Just awsome!

Chapter 2

When I arrived at the company, I reorganized the evidence of Yosef's infidelity. What I just showed him was only a small part, and there were more exciting things.

I packaged these dirty things into files and sent them to the private lawyer I hired.

He replied my message in seconds, [Got it.]

After finishing all these, I started to check the documents sent to me by my assistant.

Malicious bidding, delayed payment of employee salaries, and illegal business operations.

Any one of them would be a good helper for me to bring down Yosef.

It was worth my hard work for half a year. I got all the photos, information, human testimony and material evidence.

I felt extremely happy.

I went downstairs for my car. With such good weather, I had to have some coffee.

Unfortunately, I saw Rachel at the coffee shop I often go to.

She sat in the seat where I used to sit, looking at me with a smug expression on her face.

I looked her up and down. She was wearing a red slip dress and a sparkling diamond necklace.

I smacked my lips. These were all bought with my money.

"Avery, what a coincidence."

Rachel raised her chin towards me as a greeting.

I chose a seat by the window and ignored her.

But she came over and said innocently that she wanted to buy me coffee.

As soon as the coffee was served, she blushed again and said, "Look at me, I forgot that I can't drink coffee while breastfeeding."

I didn't even want to lift my eyelids, these words were so disgusting to hear.

"You haven't met my son yet, right?" Rachel took out her phone and placed it in front of me without caring whether I wanted it or not.

"He looks a lot like me and Yosef, white and delicate, very cute."

I frowned at it and almost laughed out loud.

His skin wasn't white or delicate, and he hadn't even opened eyes, which looked like a woolen figure.

Seeing that I was not provoked, Rachel didn't feel awkward at all, and calmly took back the phone. "Avery, when I was working with you before, I thought you were very dominant. But now no matter how dominant you are, it doesn't matter."

She shook the ring on her ring finger. "If you can't hold your husband's heart, you have to accept defeat."

The huge diamond made my eyes a little dazed. I raised my right hand calmly and rubbed my eyes, and the big diamond ring on my index finger was properly exposed.

Rachel was stunned.

My ring was the same brand as hers, but mine was twice the size of the one on her hand.

"You did it on purpose." Rachel bit her red lips very hard, and glared at me angrily.

I laughed, how could I did that on purpose?

It was showing off rings, which was very common to have the same style as others. But whoever's diamond smaller would be embarrassed.

"What are you so proud of?" Rachel remembered something, and when she looked at me again, she was more confident. "Yosef will divorce you soon, and then I will be the real Mrs. Gilbert."

So funny. Mrs. Gilbert? Did she really think Yosef was a wealthy bachelor?

I nodded and said "oh" lightly, then elegantly started to taste my coffee.

In less than five minutes, Rachel could no longer sit still, and her gaze at me changed again and again.

"Avery." She gritted her teeth. "What on earth are you so proud of? Yosef is about to divorce you, and why are you still so calm?"

I raised my eyelids and glanced at her as a silent provocation.

Seeing that she didn't irritate me, Rachel picked up her bag and left angrily.

Before leaving, she did not forget to show off how much Yosef doted on her and bought her piles of luxury goods.

After all, she was young and had a low educational background. These were bought for her by Yosef with the common property of us during marriage. Without my consent, and I had the right to take them back.

Thinking of Rachel's taste, I couldn't help but sigh.

Chapter 3

When I returned to my residence in the evening, Yosef's mother Camila called me. Before I could say anything, she started scolding me.

I took my phone away, gave a few greetings, pretended that there was no signal, and then hung up.

I could answer the phone if she talked nicely, but it was impolite for her to scold me.

Besides, the house they lived in was still mine.

Without hesitation, I immediately called the security guard of the villa and asked them to clear them out.

Within ten minutes, I received a call from Yosef.

He questioned me on the phone why I treated his parents like that, saying that they were too old to withstand it and that I was being unfilial. I was so angry that I almost laughed.

The house was mine, so of course I had the final say on everything. Yosef must had forgotten that the house was registered to me a year ago. The reason why his parents still lived in was because we were a family back then.

But we are not a family anymore.

Of course, I was not a cruel person. In order to reduce the burden on them, I specially called a moving company to help. Although there were only two of them, they had a lot of things. There were piles of health products, and I was stunned when I saw the video recorded by the security guard.

After that, I thought of Rachel again. But she lived in a house that Yosef bought for her, so I couldn't ask security guard to throw her out.

But I could take the house back.

I also had a share in the house bought with the marital property.

I called the lawyer and he immediately understood. After a brief discussion, he put his hand to do it.

A few days later, Rachel came to the court as the defendant. Her face turned red as soon as she saw me. She asked me why I treated her like that.

She said that I was cruel, that I didn't know how to think for Yosef and blah blah.

I was too lazy to argue with her. I stood behind the lawyer and slowly put on my makeup to ensure that I looked good.

What I didn't expect was that Yosef didn't come, but Camila came.

As soon as Camila saw me, she started yelling at me, saying that I was shameless and that suing her son brought shame on him.

I didn't really care and just listened quietly for a while. However, Camila was so angry that she almost fainted and her lips were almost purple.

"Mom!" I yelled, "You don't look good, are you having a heart attack?"

Then Camila fell down with a bang.

I stepped back and was afraid that she would fall on me.

Great. She fainted before the lawsuit even started.

I was kind-hearted and wanted to stop the lawsuit, but Rachel didn't forget to blame me and said that I made Camila faint from anger.

I thought, "All right then, let's continue."

I called Yosef's father and informed the judge to continue the lawsuit, and the judge of course supported it.

After all, whether Camila was there or not didn't affect the case.

My lawyer collected all the evidence needed for the lawsuit. He showed the judge records of Yosef's purchase of the house and proved that it was our marital common property.

Rachel tried to hold it, digging her nails into her flesh, and in the end she said nothing.

It was difficult for her. She didn't understand the law at all and had no legal basis at all. It would be strange that if she won.

I received a call from Yosef as soon as I got out of court. He was so angry and kept saying that I was too dominant and didn't know how to adapt.

Anyway, he also used his mother's logic. Like mother like son.

I didn't care to respond, so I hung up the phone.

I was busy watching Rachel move, so I didn't have the time to listen to his bullshit about mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

As soon as I opened the car door, Rachel rushed to me, her hair disheveled and tears in her eyes. "Avery, you've gone too far!"

What?

Really?

"Yosef will definitely divorce you."

I frowned, this again.

Why didn't she have anything new?

I slammed the car door shut and said to her through the car window, "I sure hope so. After all, a hypocrite like Yosef is kinda worthy of you."

After saying that, I left, leaving Rachel, who was choked by gasoline and had tears on her face.
