Chapter 2

Aylin's POV

I pretended to be asleep. I kept my eyes closed and I didn't speak a word. I just pushed his hands aside and turned my back.

He got the message I was passing across to him. He yelled out and said,

“What else can I do to please you? What do you want me to do again Aylin?

I'm trying to keep my cool and be nice, and you're rejecting me? What happened to—" He emulated my speech —"'I don't care about your ex. You belong to me now, and that's what is paramount!”

I heard him let out an aggravated sigh.

“Can you spare me that drama Aylin. Stop behaving and nagging like a jealous wife.

I could've kept this away from you 'cause I don't wanna upset you and make your nerves hot, but I chose to come out clean –no hidden or obscure motives.

That's what mates are supposed to do! Now, look at you, giving me this silent, disgusting and sucking attitude!”

Draco drained all his frustrations and in the end, he said, "Look Aylin, I Know you solely desire to have your own baby, and here I am, striving to be a solace and pillar of support to you.

But you're rejecting it. Guess I should just give you some space. I will sleep on the couch tonight, huh?"

He arrogantly stood up and slammed the door with great intensity. I couldn't help but laugh sarcastically at how messy my union with my mate has become. We have been distant and drifted apart. Our relationship has become like two parallel rivers, running in different directions.

Every union or bond undergoes trying times. It is normal. But the ability to recognize that there's a need to remain united despite the storm and circumstances, is a different ball game.

Draco has failed to recognize my apology language. It is so simple.

“I am sorry.”

“I was wrong.”

“What can I do to make it right again?”

Instead, to him, saying sorry was something he only said for me to forgive him or else in his eyes, I'd be just a ridiculous jealous and nagging wife.

I guessed all the blame should be leveled on me. He knew I'd always preach and stand for peace. I will always forgive him because I loved him. And this was the burden I have to carry and the price I had to pay.

The next morning, Draco was nowhere to be seen. He slept on the couch last night but I couldn't find him as I woke up to check.

My mate left the house so early.

I wasn't bothered though. I didn't stress my head to think where he went early in the morning.

It's not like it was the first time.

He'd be back when the day is deeply old. His business associate and Gamma of the pack— Luan Oberon called countless times, looking for him, saying he hadn't shown up at the office since today.

Permuting all possible places and putting the facts together, there was only one place I could think of: somewhere far out the pack with Nisha and her son, Raoul.

I was on my way to somewhere in the pack. After booking an appointment, I hopped in a cab to the clinic.

When I was already lying in bed, the D&C was done on me. Before I knew it; the baby was no longer in my womb in just a few minutes.

Not quite long, I was already in line to settle the bills when I barged into two familiar figures—my mate and his ex, Nisha.

Draco instantly shot me an accusing glare. "Aylin? What the f**k is wrong with you. Do you have to tail me here? Are you stalking me?"

I poured my gaze on Nisha. She deliberately avoided them and pretended to appear and act like a saint before me.

She feigned an act by scolding my mate. "Draco, stop that. Don't accuse her like that. She didn't do any wrong.

Do you really think she'll stalk us? I mean, we're here for Nisha's X-ray and also, to collect Raoul’s medical report from the doctor. Aylin gets the situation. Right, Aylin?"

Nisha’s mischievous and deceptive words totally drifted the focus onto me. I could only smirk and respond, "Yeah, you're absolutely spot on.

You're just here for his medical report and for your X-ray. I got it. I just happened to be here, too. I'm not stalking anyone!"

Thinking I was defensive, Draco shoved me, seething, "Goodness, Aylin, stop creating and imagining what's non-existent! She's practically a sister to me!"

I had just had surgery; my body had me knocked to the ground from his shove. Pain shot through my lower abdomen, and I winced.

Nisha quickly came to my rescue, but she shot a mischievous smile my way while scolding Simon.

I pushed her away, feeling disgusted. I tried to lean against the wall, but she flopped down next to me, acting dramatically like he had hurt her chest.

Draco ran quickly and held her hands. He helped her to stand upright and then yelled at me. "If anything happens to her, I swear, Aylin, you'll regret this!"

There was this strange feeling that aroused all over my body. Cold sweat broke out as I felt pain coursing through me while my mate, Draco cared for his ex.

Maybe I made the right decision not to keep the baby; a man who doesn't cherish his wife and mate wouldn't love her offspring either.

I didn't desire that my baby would come into this life to face this ugly omen. It is better that I save him or her from the hatred that they will encounter. How pathetic that would've been.

When I returned to the pack, I went to Twitter to post something until I saw the latest post of Nisha.

Chapter 3

Aylin's POV

It was a sexy photo of a man's back, and I was very certain that it was my mate—Draco. She backed up the photo with a caption: [Guys’ it is obviously true that when you have a man that genuinely loves you, your safety is highly guaranteed.

I am over the moon now because I have such a man in my life.]

Comments were flooding in. The familiar and notable ones were from the pack's high ranked wolves.

Beta–Hesperos Lysander:[Gosh! That back is so sexy! I know it's definitely not Ragnar Blaez.]

Draco’s Gamma and Business Associate–Luan Oberon:[Beautiful and lovely! Finally you've gotten hold of him. Congratulations!!]

Leandro Arcturus–Draco’s office assistant:[Why am I having this feeling that this exactly looks like the back of Alpha Draco of Wolfshade Circle. Anyways, Congratulations! Make things to work out between you guys.

It would be wonderful if that can happen. So happy for you,Alpha for winning back your long lost goddess.]

Those men are just blowing things beyond proportion. I could perceive something fishy here. Are they trying to get me upset?

When Draco saw all their comments,he quickly went and posted something. He pretended to care. Just to avoid me from getting angry.

He went ahead and indirectly started scolding them

Draco Altan:[Guys, guys, what the hell was that? Are you guys trying to separate me from my Luna–Aylin? Please stop!!! Am just trying to be of help to Nisha and Raoul.]

As soon as he dropped that comment, they all stopped. Except his Beta–Hesperos Lysander:[Come on, man, we know you don't love her.

She's not worth it, just ditch her. You've been with Nisha since Uni, and we all know you can't let her go. Stop the drama and win your rightful Luna back!]

Hesperos had been Draco's right hand man and best friend. When I became Draco's Luna, he never accepted me. Infact, he'd never liked me.

He always thought I wasn't perfect for his friend. saying I wasn't as gorgeous and dripping like Nisha Endymion. To him, I just didn't measure up.

He hasn't for once acknowledged me as Draco's mate and Luna.

I pretended to be cool. I just let Hesperos say whatever he wanted. Not that I don't know what to reply to him.

But for the sake of Draco, I let that die down. I also restrained myself from speaking now that I was considering breaking our bond and planning on divorcing him.

I typed something and commented: [Don't worry. Your wish is gonna happen as soon as possible.]

Then, I brought up two photos—my pregnancy ultrasound and my abortion certificate—and annotated it: [Finally! I am breaking free and letting go.]

Few seconds after I posted the photos, my Facebook notification exploded. I gazed at the likes and comments one after another, and not one was from Draco's men.

I suspected they hadn't seen what I posted yet. Ha, they must've called him privately to toast to their little celebration!

Not quite long, just three minutes later, my phone was buzzing non-stop. It was almost blowing off. My parents and friends were all trying to contact me.

Draco was blowing up my phone too, but I completely snubbed it. I just sent a short and precise message to my Mom: [I'll be at the pack later. I'll give you the crux when I get there.]

I hastily gathered all my stuff together. Just as I was about to step out to leave, I spotted Draco pulling into the driveway.

He scuttled out of his car and marched right over.

"Aylin! What the heck is going on? You flushed our heir all because I donated my blood to save Raoul's life?!"
