Chapter 1
After Robert left me alone in Antarctica for half a month for the third time, I promised him to take Rebecca home to live with me. Robert came to pick me up with a stunned look on his face.
“Angeline, why did you suddenly agree?”
He frowned. “Didn't you say that even if you break off the engagement with me, you won't agree to Rebecca living in? Why don't you throw a tantrum and go into a cold war with me instead of being upset with me?”
I smiled and shook my head. “I'll do as you say, Robert.”
He didn't know that Rebecca deliberately pushed me under the water of the Antarctic glacier. I should have died, but I was saved by the undead spirit that possessed the ice spirit. But the thing I sacrificed to hand over was love.
——
It was the third day after I was pulled up from the water by a floating corpse. Robert finally wanted to get up and pick me up. The private jet landed in Antarctica and as soon as he saw me, his brows furrowed.
“Angeline, are you a dead man? You won't even move a bit after staying half a month here.”
My eyes were numb and I slowly raised my head. His gaze landed on my face and he suddenly drew a mouthful of cold air.
“Angeline, it's only been a few days since I saw you. How did you lose weight like this?”
“Come on, Robert, don't blame Ms. Angeline. Well, we left so much food for her, surely she won't starve. If she wasn't still angry with you and continuing the cold war, how could she lose weight? You should apologize to her, Robert.”
Rebecca walked over from behind him. She was pretending to be kind and reaching out her hand towards me.
“Ms. Angeline, can you get up?”
I didn't hitch a ride. Rebecca, however, laughed softly and held my arm. The moment she touched it, she pinched me hard with all her strength. I coldly watched her face tighten from clenching her teeth so hard and favoring a fake smile on her face. I just found it extremely funny.
“You don't have to mind her, Rebecca.”
Robert sighed in disgust, picking up his down jacket and smashing it towards me. I was only wearing a punching bag and was so cold that I had lost consciousness all over my body.
“It looks like she's enjoying here. She didn't even know to contact me after half a month. It seems like she really wants to have a cold war with me to the end.”
‘Enjoy?’ I laughed coldly in my heart. It was already the third time he left me alone in Antarctica. At first, it was just a day or two and this time it was half a month long. Robert said that this time was a pre wedding trip, bringing me to Antarctica to see the aurora arboreal. Just because Rebecca wore away my extremely cold down jacket, I said it was cold.
Rebecca half-truthfully mocked me, “You can't even overcome the temperature of the Antarctic. So, how can you be Mrs. Angeline Payne in the future?”
She deliberately took off her down jacket and soaked it in the water and I desperately tried to stop her. When Robert saw it, Rebecca's expression of aggrieved and close to tears turned into her freezing and shivering to block me.
“Ms. Angeline, I didn't mean to take your down jacket on purpose. If you're not happy just talk to me. Why do you have to soak your down jacket in water?” After saying that she sneezed.
“Angeline, you're going too far.”
Robert's face changed and turned distressed. He immediately took off his own down jacket and gave it to Rebecca.
“I originally wanted you to ease your relationship when we travelled together this time, but I didn't expect you to be so vicious. Angeline, you're simply a poisonous snake.”
He didn't listen to my explanation at all. He only cared to half-hugged Rebecca onto the private jet. I begged him not to leave me behind, but Robert coldly broke off my fingers.
“Aren't you trying to do something bad on purpose? I'll let you stay here long enough as you want.”
He only threw a backpack at me. I heard his voice was colder than a glacier.
“What's more, Angeline? Aren't you bent on marrying me? If you want to become Mrs. Angeline Payne, you have to stand the test first.”
He took away the mobile power supply when my cell phone was down. I saw that my phone only had two batteries left.
Chapter 2
Robert didn't know that all the pictures and videos of him kissing Rebecca on the private jet were all secretly sent to me by Rebecca. At the same time, it was accompanied by countless arrogant provocations.
“Angeline, do you really think you can successfully become Mrs. Payne? I'm the unforgettable lover in Robert's heart. Even if you don't agree with me living in the Payne Family, what good ending can I get? Admit your defeat, ever since I came back, you and Robert have been fighting non-stop. He left you in Antarctica to fool the Payne Family and quietly took me to live in the world of our own.”
I was biting my lip and holding my cell phone tightly. The last charge ran out and the pictures disappeared the moment they checked into their hotel room. Robert asked me why I didn't call him immediately. But where I could contact the outside, I wouldn't be stuck in Antarctica for half a month. Seeing me with my head down, a touch of guilt surfaced in Robert's eyes.

“Alright, let's end the cold war here. If you don't want Rebecca to live in the Payne Family, then I won't force you.”
“I agree.”
Hearing my flat voice, Robert looked up in dismay. He stared at me blankly.
“What did you say?”
I lowered my eyelids and said, “I said I agreed, let her live in.”
These cold wars were all because of Rebecca. Robert pitied her lonely life and insisted on living in our newly bought wedding villa and I refused to agree. So, Robert found all kinds of ways to get angry with me. They dropped me off in Antarctica three times and I fell for it every time. But this time, I really agreed. Robert, however, was in a panic, a wave of uneasiness filled his heart. Even when I was carried onto the private plane, he still kept asking questions.
“Angeline, why did you suddenly agree?” He frowned tightly. “Didn't you say that even if you break off the engagement with me, you don't agree with Rebecca living in? How come you don't spill your guts and go cold turkey with me like this?”
In my heart, I knew this person was really mean this time. So, I agreed, but he couldn't accept it. But I kept silent, just smiled and shook my head.
“All listen to you, Robert, just it.”
He didn't know that I had already died once before. More than half a month ago, Robert heartlessly left me alone in Antarctica, embracing Rebecca to leave together. Rebecca claimed to have forgotten something and turned back halfway. In fact, in the blind spot of her sight, she deliberately pushed me down to the bottom of the Antarctic glacier.
“Angeline, aren't you trying to steal a man from me? I'd like to see, how you can still compete with me if you die here today?”
Rebecca maliciously smiled at me. She then quickly picked up her things again and hurriedly ran away. As Robert held her waist and boarded the plane, I was stung by the cold, bone-chilling glacial water and desperately begged for help towards him. As long as he turned around, even just a glance. Then he realized I was about to drown. But his eyes were filled with Rebecca and until the private jet slowly rose to leave the area, he never turned around to look at me.

“Angel, since you agreed to let Rebecca live in, when we return to the Payne Family, you know what to tell my parents, right?”
Robert's tentative tone came through. Seeing that I was silent, he took the initiative to reach out and help me peel a banana before handing it to me. Suddenly Rebecca's delicate voice was heard.
“Robert, I'm also hungry.”
Her line of sight fell on that banana and Robert only hesitated for a moment before smiling. He then handed it to her.
“Rebecca, she has low blood sugar, she can't go hungry. There is only one last banana left on the plane, wait until we get home, okay? I'll have someone get you something to eat.”
I just looked at them calmly, as if I didn't hear them at all. Then I closed my eyes.
Chapter 3
They didn't know that after starving for so many days, the only reason I didn't die was because there was a force inside me that was holding me up. While Robert was asleep, Rebecca looked at me with a provocative face and said in a voice only I could hear.
“Angeline, I didn't expect you to have such luck in your life, you actually managed to come back alive. But it's not certain who will lose or win next, I managed to live in the Payne Family, so we still don't know who the real Mrs. Payne will be in the end, right?”
Rebecca's smug smile was mixed with a hint of viciousness and disgust. She had returned to Singapore half a year ago.
Before she came back, Robert's heart was all on me.
When I had a cold and fever, he would drive me to the hospital even at 3 am. When I wanted to eat pastries, Robert was worried that the ones made by others were not clean, so even if he was busy, he would come from the company to personally cook and bake for me.
I just accidentally cut my hand, Robert's eyes would turn red with heartache.
When I fainted from allergies, Robert was so scared that he called me Angel like a madman, fearing that he would lose me.
But when Rebecca came back, everything changed. He no longer called me Angel and most of the time he called me Angeline Rosendale with both my full name and surname.
The passenger seat of his Rolls Royce was no longer exclusively mine but was occupied by Rebecca for various reasons. Robert also no longer had time to cook for me and even took time for me only a few times.
Every time I went to see him, he was either accompanying Rebecca to visit Disney, eating hot pot, skiing or ice skating with her. Faced with my questioning, Robert impatiently and grumpily yelled at me every time.
“Angeline Rosendale, have you made enough of a scene or not? Rebecca is unfamiliar here. She doesn’t know anyone at all. So, what’s the problem if I can accompany her for a few more days? I have promised that I will definitely marry you in the future. Can you have a little bit of Mrs. Payne's demeanour? Please, don't embarrass yourself here.”
My thoughts gathered back to me. I just coldly looked at Robert in front of me. There wasn't a hint of sadness or even any hurt feelings, resentment. It was just like looking at a stranger. I almost forgot that after my rebirth, I had lost the ability to love people.
“Robert, can you let me sleep in this room? The lighting here is good, I like it.”
Rebecca returned to the Payne Family villa and picked my bedroom at a glance. She knew that it was filled with women's daily necessities, but she still pretended to be innocent and acted coquettishly.
“Can I have this room, please?”
Robert was just about to nod in agreement, but then he hesitated. “This is Angel's room, Rebecca. Everything here is decorated by her. It has to be done with her consent.”
He looked at me with a difficult face. Before he could say anything, I smiled and nodded.
“Of course, you can stay in this room, Rebecca.”
Robert looked at me unexpectedly and said, “How could you say this?”
He probably couldn't figure out that I, who would usually blush at the sight of Rebecca, was like I met an enemy. ‘I know you think how could I agree so easily nowadays?’
“If Rebecca likes it, then let it go to her. I know if she's happy, you're happy, aren't you?”
Rebecca was also completely stunned and the two of them looked at me in surprise. Waiting for them to react, I used to hug the pillow and pack up my things. Then I moved to the next guest bedroom next door.
I was so tired after these days in Antarctica. I felt I needed to have a good sleep, because when I woke up, I would figure out what I was going to do in the future. It was already dark when I woke up. When I opened my eyes, I realized there was someone beside my bed. I was just about to be alert when Robert slowly spoke out.
“Angel, why did you throw our engagement rings into the trash?”
His eyes were already red and he tried his best to suppress his voice. I was a little stunned to hear his words.
