Chapter 3

“Eric, what are you doing here, you scumbag?”

Seeing the person standing at the door, my bestie and Justin almost blocked the bed at the same time.

Eric obviously didn’t expect that there were other people in the ward and was stunned for a moment.

“Why are you here?”

My bestie sneered, “Of course I have to be here. If I’m not here, my bestie would have been killed by you.”

“Nonsense.”

Eric frowned, took a few quick steps to the front and pushed my bestie to the side.

He wanted to move forward again, but Justin moved his body and blocked him again.

Eric stared at Justin, with a hint of sarcasm on his face.

“Wanda, is this what you call innocent? If you are really innocent, why would he stay by your bedside all the time?”

If he said this in the past, I would just panic and try my best to explain.

But now, I just thought it was ridiculous.

“So what?”

Eric was stunned, looking at me with surprise over Justin.

“What did you say? Are you admitting it?”

I met his gaze, just wanting to do something as he wished.

But when I touched Justin’s white coat, I changed my words in time.

“Eric, I don’t want to have these meaningless arguments with you. Please tell me if you have something to say, otherwise just get out.”

There was a hint of anger in Eric’s eyes, but he chose to hold it in.

“Write a letter of apology now, saying that you will not pursue what happened yesterday and let them let Ella out.”

My best friend’s chest was heaving with anger and just as she was about to speak, I secretly pulled her back.

“What if I say no?”

Eric’s eyes suddenly became sharp, as if I was not his wife, but his enemy.

“Wanda, you have to recognize your own identity. I am not asking you for help. In the final analysis, it was you who had a bastard with a wild man first. Ella stood up for me. What’s wrong with her?”

I sneered, “You keep calling me a bastard. I hope you won’t regret it when you know the truth.”

I continued, “Since you want a letter of understanding, I can write it, but I want you to exchange it with a divorce agreement. You must give me every penny of the property I deserve.”

Eric looked at me in disbelief. “You want a divorce?”

Before I could answer, his voice suddenly rose, “Wanda, who do you think you are? You are just a slut. I want to see how well you can live without me.”

He walked to the door in a rage. When he reached the door, he suddenly turned around and smiled at Justin.

“Doctors should also pay attention to their reputation, right? If you like to interfere in other people’s marriages, aren’t you afraid of retribution?”

Justin smiled calmly and replied, “I am upright and I am not afraid of my own shadow! But Mr. Baker, have you ever cared about your wife since you came in?”

Eric gave an ambiguous smile and turned around again.

I pushed my best friend and said, “I want his hair.”

My best friend immediately understood and rushed up to grab Eric’s hair.

Eric was almost dragged to the ground and turned back to glare at my best friend.

My best friend was not afraid at all and glared back.

“What are you looking at? This is my best friend’s return to you.”

“Shrew.”

Eric left this sentence and kicked the door when he went out.

I couldn’t help but frown and I was a little worried about what Eric had just said.

I knew Eric’s paranoia too well and I was afraid that he would use revenge on Justin. So I told my best friend not to look for him again if she could avoid bothering Justin.

Chapter 4

Eric didn’t show up for five days. This made me curious.

Didn’t he value Ella very much? How could he let her stay in a place like a detention center for so many days?

I originally thought that he would send the divorce agreement the next day. Now it seemed that Ella’s position in his heart was just like that.

When my best friend came in and saw me in a daze, she waved the paternity test results in front of me.

“Are you daydreaming again? Why are you always in a daze recently?”

I smiled and asked her what the result was.

She handed me the list. “What else can I do? You don’t know whose child it is?”

I took the report, saw the number 99.999% on it and carefully put it away.

There were footsteps at the door and when I looked up, Eric walked in with his lawyer.

“What were you talking about just now? Why did I hear something about a child?”

My best friend rolled her eyes at him. “What else can I say about a child? Of course, I’m saying that you killed Wanda’s child.”

Eric sneered, “It’s just a bastard. If you’re gone, just give your adulterer another one.”

“You…”

My best friend was so angry that she wanted to slap him.

I looked at her and she held back.

Eric ignored her and looked at the lawyer behind him.

The lawyer took out the divorce contract and put it in front of me.

I read it carefully and threw the contract back.

“Eric, I’ve made it very clear that I deserve nothing less.”

“Deserved? You married me and stayed at home as a housewife. What contribution have you made to this family? You cheated on me and got pregnant with a bastard. I can only give you 40% because of our past love. I’ve already given you enough love.”

I was too lazy to argue with him and said bluntly, “Whatever you say, if the property distribution ratio is not 50%, I won’t write a letter of apology to Ella.”

Eric’s face was livid. “Wanda, don’t go too far.”

After a while, seeing that I was unmoved, he reluctantly took out another contract from the lawyer’s hand.

It turned out that he had already made two plans.

After reading the contract, there was no problem anymore. I picked up the pen and planned to sign my name without hesitation.

At the moment when the pen tip was about to touch the paper, Eric suddenly pressed the contract.

“Wanda, I’ll give you one more chance. If you sign now, it will be difficult to regret it.”

Looking at the obscurity in his eyes, I pushed his hand away and signed my name without hesitation.

Eric stared at the contract and took a deep breath. “Okay, that’s great. Then I sincerely invite you to attend my engagement party with Ella in 40 days.”

I chuckled and handed over the letter of understanding. “Okay, I will definitely go.”

Not only would I go, I would also give you a big gift.

Look forward to it, Eric!
