Chapter 6
Derrick
I couldn't believe my eyes, different emotions ran through me. Kodiac, my wolf froze, I could feel his heartbeat stop.
Before me was my brother, laying still in his own blood, dead.
Why does this always happen to me? Why does a day of happiness always go bad for me?
My mother was killed by a rogue on my nineteenth birthday, my father died on the yellow moon night, the night I turned into my wolf self.
And now, now, now my brother; the only family I had left was laying in front of me; cold-blooded in death.
The rest of the pack were growling and howling as I looked on.
I knew something was fishy when Amigo went missing. He would never miss anything that gave me joy.
I initially thought he was just fooling around with me.
Amigo was fond of making entrances, I thought that was his plan but he would never make his entry after I had been crowned right?
I wanted to overlook his absence but something just didn't seem right.
I was still in my thoughts when I heard an unfamiliar voice scream.
There were only few females in the pack's defence group and I instructed them all to remain in the pack to protect the rest. Only the Delta was amongst us and she wouldn't be screaming but growling.
I looked to the left of my brother's dead body and sitting there, was a human girl.
I walked closer to her still in my wolf form and from her countenance, it was obvious she was afraid.
Why was she sitting close to Amigo's dead body and covered in his blood?
Wait, she was also holding a knife.
I moved even closer to her and took a sniff of her neck. She is responsible.
She killed Amigo, she killed my innocent brother on my coronation night.
How wicked could the humans get?
Now I understand my ancestor's reason for choosing to live away from the humans.
I felt Kodiac's pulse quicken as he growled from within.
She was going to pay for this, with her life!
Khloe
Oh no. I definitely wasn't going to escape death. They had come for their brother and had found him dead with me beside him covered in his blood.
Of course they weren't going to have Mercy on me.
The biggest and fiercest looking of them all walked toward me and as he did, an image flashed through my mind. It was blurry but I could still recognize some of its features.
It was like I had seen this particular one of them. It looked exactly like the one I had seen in the illusion I had back at school during my presentation.
Wait, the illusion I had. Oh my gosh I had completely forgotten about that.
I looked to the left to take a proper look at the dead man laying on the floor while reminiscing on his voice.
His voice, it sounded just like the last thing I heard before passing out then.
How could I have forgotten about something so important? Why was I just regaining all of those memories now?
I knew staying here especially without my family was bad news.
Now I was doomed, I didn't even get to tell my family a proper goodbye.
I never got to see Michael again.
I never even got to complete my project.
Why was life so unfair?
Maybe this was how my father died, maybe he didn't actually commit suicide as reported, maybe these were the wild beasts that attacked him and killed him.
Oh heavens, my mother would never be able to survive this, I'm very sure of that.
Why did I have to lose my memory of the illusion? Why did I even have the illusion?
My dad always said you can only experience what you have in your imagination and only what you see can ever evolve around you.
Maybe if I hadn't seen anything of this sort I would not be close to my death hour.
As I was thinking of all the possibilities regarding my situation, my sight suddenly became blurry and immediately the biggest of all the beasts sniffed my neck, I felt light headed.
Migraine returned to me. It was so severe, I felt I was going to die even before the wolves attacked me.
Speaking of wolves, from the looks on their faces and the abrupt stop they made to their growling, they must be thinking about the million ways they could use to kill me. They could even be communicating with their minds.
I was slowly drifting into unconsciousness and as I did, I saw an image of a girl whose features I couldn't quite point out, except for her waist long cherry coloured hair.
I saw her look into my eyes only to say something, something that sounded so familiar; Ita shka seru matelsal hem Motsora matelsal hem. Shku sha, molehfej shku sha.
Those were the last words I heard before passing out.
Derrick
Humans would always be humans. From decade to decade, they would always be the same.
Weak and vulnerable but wicked and self centered.
I hadn't even made a move on her and she had passed out already.
Nevertheless, I wasn't going to change my decision against her.
I howled to the rest of the wolves, ordering them to carry both her and Amigo back to the pack while I do a ground survey around the human's cabin.
She couldn't have killed Amigo all by herself.
They howled back at me before carrying out my instructions.
The next day***
Michael's Residence
I was brushing my teeth happily, I was going to see Khloe after so long.
It actually wasn't so long, it was even up to a week since I last saw Khloe but I miss her like we hadn't seen in a Century.
Today is Saturday so, I would sleep over at Khloe's cabin.
We could even talk about what I saw in her diary.
Wait speaking of what I saw, I should even check it out. That way I could have a bit of contribution to make, it could even help her out in her project.
I don't know why but I really wanted to impress her.
I opened the diary but found nothing, I flipped through the pages over and over again but couldn't find anything.
Yes, I finally found it. I picked up my phone to do a bit of research.
To my utmost surprise, when I tried researching, what happened next surprised me.
What the hell?
Chapter 7
Alexandra
I knew something would go wrong which was my exact reason for not going to fetch the human's blood myself.
I have waited personally for centuries to see the fall of the lycans. Because of them, we the werewolves were always sidelined. The rogues were worse, they saw us as nothing but infection to their territory.
I was only allowed to live with the rest of the pack because unlike the rest, I have been rogue from birth.
The rogues who were turned always got banished while the unlucky ones got killed especially if they committed any crime against the lycans.
Being a born rogue was never easy for me. I had to learn how to live like and relate with the normal wolves.
I had to learn to control my hunger for blood and flesh, my emotions, especially my anger and my heart. Despite the fact that I was a born rogue, there was still a possibility of the corruption spreading through my heart. If it does, I would become a complete rogue, I wouldn't be able to control myself and I would get banished.
My parents were killed by the former Luna. She couldn't control herself after going rogue so she killed them.
I was only a child so yes, it was hell for me. I couldn't accuse the Luna because I was rogue myself. If I had said anything against her, I would have been accused.
Lycans were much more, infact undeniably stronger and fiercer than the rest of the worlf specie. This feature always made it easier for them to hide anything they were going through, including the rogue corruption.
So, if I had reported the Luna, no one would have believed me instead, they all would have put the blame on me. I would have been accused of losing myself and murdering my parents.
So many times during my training, I would be locked up in a room with baby wolves and to pass the test, I had to resist harming the baby wolves.
I wouldn't have had to pass through any of those if the alpha had been merciful enough to get a witch doctor to make me a purifying antidote. Instead, he killed the only witch that could have ever made that possible.
Amigo was the only one I trusted to tell the truth concerning my parents's deaths.
Unlike other species of wolves, lycanthropes were the only ones born with supernatural powers. Some were born with two, others three and many one.
Luckily, Amigo was born with the power to read minds so, it was very easy for him to believe me.
He promised to help me expose the truth but of course, once a lycan, always a lycan.
We grew past our teenage years as best friends, then to adult hood but he never brought the truth into the open just as he had promised.
So, I decided to blackmail him, that way he would have no choice than to bring out the truth.
Unfortunately, my plan didn't go as strategized. He wasn't ready to give up his brother's blood, neither was he ready to bring out the truth.
I could have easily gotten his brother's blood without his permission with the help of the witch I was working with but I wanted to give him a choice.
I feel bad for not being given the opportunity to choose between being a rogue and being a normal werwolf, or even a lycanthrope.
I believe everyone deserves a choice so, I gave Amigo a choice but he was just too strong-headed. How could one sacrifice himself for someone that was still going to overlook your sacrifice and banish you?
I only corrupted Amigo out of love and anger. I had always loved Amigo, he was more than a best friend to me but all deep down, all of my love for him was nothing but mere fantasy.
The moon goddess had given him his mate, a position that I was supposed to hold if only I wasn't a rogue.
Since I couldn't have Amigo just the way he was, I decided to corrupt him and even if he never became mine after the corruption, his mate surely would never have him too.
Now all my plans had been jeopardized, I never got the human's blood, I probably would have to wait for a million more centuries to get the required blood and most importantly, I never got Amigo.
Those idiots I put in charge of the operation are nothing but failures who couldn't carry out a specific task.
I swear on my parents's graves, I am going to snap every single bone in their fucked up bodies.

Mrs Smith
I was still preparing pancakes when Jack ran into the kitchen.
" Common baby I told you already to never run in the kitchen it's dangerous." I scolded him.
" Sorry Mommy, I'm just so happy about our visit to Khloe today." He replied looking remorseful but bubbly.
I could only smile at him.
Gosh, he so much reminded me of his father. In fact, both my kids reminded me of my husband especially Jack.
I was still in my fantasy world when the door bell rang out.
" That must be Michael" I said, taking out a box of chocolate milk.
"I'd get it!" Jack volunteered before dashing out of the kitchen.
" Hi champ, where's Mrs Smith" I heard Michael say from the living room.
" Good morning Mrs Smith." I heard him greet.
" Good morning Mike. How's your... Oh heavens." I was returning Michael's greeting when I looked up from what I was doing to see my daughter's best friend looking so horrible.
" Oh my gosh Michael. What happened to you? Did you not sleep well? Did your father come to the house to harass your mom again? Did Richardson return to drugs? Did you fail a test at school? Were you bullied?" I rushed my questions, unable to contain the uneasiness I felt seeing him look so sad and depressed with a swollen face and terrible eye bags.
" No Mrs Smith. It's nothing of that sort." He replied with a broken smile.
" Then what's the problem? This is definitely not what you really look like." I protested.
" I didn't want to disturb you but I think Khloe is in some sort of trouble." He said, wiping the tears that still poured from his eyes.
" What? What do you mean by that did...did she call? Or text?" I asked, turning off the burner and moving closer to him as if that was a better spot to get the full details of my daughter 'being in trouble'.
" No, she didn't." He replied, looking at his shoes as if avoiding my gaze.
" Then what, talk to me Michael!!" I screamed at him.
" The last time I came here to see her, Jack mistakenly put in one of her diaries into my bag. I was curious so, I went through it even before I got home. There was a particular sentence that attracted me. I tried reading it but it was written in a language I didn't understand. I had forgotten about it until this morning. I had this feeling that it was going to help make her project even better. Since we were visiting today I thought I could help and even sleep over to spend more time with her.Since it was written in her diary, she must know something about, a lot about. I didn't want to be a novice regarding the subject when we meet to discuss about it so, I decided to do a little bit of research. To my greatest surprise, I found something on the internet, I initially thought it was something made up. I went further to read the translated version but the words were blurred. Without touching anything, my phone went off and then came back on only to show a blank page, I heard a voice behind me saying help. I jumped in fear. It felt so surreal because I felt a breath on my neck. I looked at my phone and help was written on it. That was the very last page my phone displayed before burning on it's own." I listened to Michael say everything he said in shock.
Normally, anyone listening to what the kid was saying would call him insane but from my experience with Khloe's father, my husband, I knew that my daughter was in real trouble.
" I refuse to lose my family for another time. Let's go." I said sniffing before grabbing my car keys.
Chapter 8
Mrs Smith
I still couldn't believe I had allowed Khloe go to the same cabin her father had mysteriously died in. Everything that is happening now was the same thing that had happened before my husband was reported dead.
His friends had called saying that they found a piece of write up in one of his journals but mysteriously, the next minute they looked, they could no longer find it there.
I found it unbelievable until Mark; my husband's best friend showed me a video as proof of what the rest of them had said.
Even as old as they were, they still played pranks on each other. They had found one of his journals lying around and had decided to prank him with it.
The initial plan was to send him a video of them going through his journal and messing around with it but things went South when they stumbled upon the write up.
While they tried reading it, it suddenly faded away. They got so frightened, they were afraid to say anything to me. But when I had called them endlessly after not being able to reach my husband, they had to open up to me.
Even after watching the video, I still couldn't believe anything they were saying.
Already, my mind had become an emotional turmoil. While Mark drove us to the cabin, I did nothing but say a million words of prayers.
Upon arriving at the cabin, I met my husband in his own pool of blood- dead.
I was so broken emotionally that I couldn't even shed a single drop of tear until the third day of his death.
How could I have been so foolish to send my daughter to the same cabin where my husband was mysteriously found dead? Why wasn't I quick to connect the dots immediately after the incident at her school, during her presentation?
How could I have sent her alone there, all by herself to stay in the woods?
Nevertheless, I wasn't going to let fate repeat itself. No matter what, at whatever cost, I am beyond ready to protect my daughter.
No matter how dangerous my husband's killer is, I was going to fight it. No matter how fierce and strong it might be, I would shield my daughter from it's attack.
I already made a mistake, yes. But I am ready to correct that.
I am ready to fight fate till the end of life if that is what is takes to protect Khloe.
"Just hang in there for me baby, mommy's coming." I said, trying hard to focus on the road.
Writer's POV
The last three witches left alive on the surface of the earth had gathered in their coven to commence the ritual for the annihilation of all lycanthropes. They had everything ready; the voodoo dolls representing the alphas, the corn babies representing the spirits of their dead witch sisters and brothers, strands of the different hairs of different alpha, and the blood of a royal lycanthrope.
The ritual was simple yet complicated in it's own way. They were going to firstly, awaken the spirits of their dead sisters and brothers by a simple blood ritual. These awaken witches were going to begin their annihilation plan by wiping off the surface of the earth, the ordinary wolves.
Even in death, they were still never going to be strong enough to personally attack an alpha, especially an alpha lycan so, they were going to use the strands and blood to cook up an unholy steam for connecting the souls of the alpha lycans to the voodoo dolls.
One of their dead witch sisters had predicted a time of reincarnation of the lycanthropes. So, to avoid any form of hindrance or disturbance, they were going to end the lycans, and end them forever.
After connecting the voodoo dolls to the alphas, they were going to lock the souls of the alphas through the voodoo dolls. After that, they were then going to cast manipulation spells together. With the manipulation spells, they were going to be able to manipulate and control the actions of the alphas who of course were stronger than the rest of their pack members. They were going to make the alphas kill every member of their packs after which they were going to kill themselves.
All of these plans weren't possible without one last ingredient; the blood of a white witch's descendant who was unmated. This was the only ingredient left on the list of the witches. It was the most powerful and the most uncommon.
They were only few so, wouldn't be able to conduct such a Ritual without an ingredient so sacred.
The She-wolf who shared the same goal with them hadn't showed up with the last ingredient as promised.
They were nervous.
" What if one of the lycans had seen her and had reported her to the alpha." One of the witches said.
" No, Alexandra might be a rogue but she's definitely smarter than that." The oldest of the witches spoke.
They contemplated on going into the pack, under cover but abolished the plan since it was too dangerous.
By the time one of them must have gotten to the pack, the She-wolf might have returned with the ingredient. And if they got more unfortunate, the spy might get exposed, their hideout would be invaded and their plan abolished.
They decided it was best to stick together to avoid losing anyone else. The ritual was a risky one that required as much witches as possible.
They had only fewer than few left; it was best to leave it that way.
None of these would have been happening if not for the wickedness of the lycans, especially the former alpha of lycans who had been mated to one of them.
Witches and werewolves were supposed to live together in peace, away from the humans.
They were willing to go to any length to see that the entire lycanthropes, in fact wolves were going to pay for the sins of Damon, with their lives.
