Chapter 4

The doctor came in and examined me.

He sighed, "This is malnutrition caused by overwork.

"She is just 18 years old this year. It is too tiring for her to study and work at the same time."

Jenny was stunned. "Is she still in school?

"Doesn't the orphanage have no money to support her?"

Seeing that Jenny seemed to want me to live a miserable life, the doctor sternly corrected her, "Viola is a top student. She got a million-dollar scholarship. Don't you know that?"

Jenny and Sam were both dumbfounded.

They came to me because the fortuneteller said that I would be beneficial to the Wilson family.

Since they wanted to take advantage of me, naturally they wanted me to be helpless.

But they didn't expect me to be so outstanding.

Not only did I study at the best university in the country, but I was also the hospital's top rehabilitation therapist.

Seeing that everyone had different expressions, Carol cleared her throat and asked in a gentle tone, "Since Viola doesn't need money, why does she work here and make herself malnourished?"

She thought she had found a flaw in the lie.

Unexpectedly, the doctor and my assistant rolled their eyes at the same time.

They had seen how hard my life was, so they didn't have a good attitude towards this fake daughter who had stolen my life.

"Viola is our hospital's top rehabilitation therapist. Last year, she helped ten patients stand up again.

"She works here to help patients regain their passion for life.

"You are a delicate lady who wears all branded clothes and can't stand the smell of stench. It's normal for you to not understand this."

Carol was speechless and subconsciously wanted to throw herself into Xander's arms.

However, Xander ignored her and raised his hand to tuck the corner of the quilt for me.

"Mom and Dad, let's wait for Viola outside and let her have a good rest first."

"Okay, let her sleep well."

Carol was ignored by them and stamped her feet angrily. "Mom, Dad, Xander, you are biased."

After saying that, she ran towards the hospital gate without looking back.

After all, she had been raised by the Wilson family for more than ten years, so the three people of the Wilson family looked at each other and started to chase her after leaving a business card.

Chapter 5

Seeing the Rolls-Royce parked at the gate drove away, I threw back the quilt and sat up from the bed.

I gently touched the photo frame on the bedside table with my fingertips, and the girl in the photo was hugging me and smiling.

I thought, "Sharon, I met your parents and brother today.

I also saw the culprit who killed you.

They were disappointing, but that's okay.

I will change them before sending them to meet you."

Chapter 6

When I was seven years old, I met Sharon at Sky Orphanage.

Sharon was very thin, and her face was pale.

While I was taking a nap, she used a rusty nail clipper to cut off my long hair.

After waking up, I cried in front of the mirror.

The dean, who was very friendly to me in the morning, suddenly frowned when he saw my cut hair.

"Who did this?"

He scanned the children, and then he kicked the silent Sharon away.

"It's you again! You dare to ruin my plan. I will beat you to death!"

The dean hit Sharon hard.

I was so scared that I even forgot to cry.

I forced a smile and walked forward. "Sir, I'm not angry anymore.

"Please don't hit her, okay?"

The dean glanced at me and pushed me away. "You ugly girl! Go away!"

After beating Sharon, he squeezed out a smile that I couldn't understand on his fat face. Squatting in front of a nine-year-old long-haired girl, he asked, "Do you want a lollipop?

"I will buy it for you, okay?"

The girl nodded in a daze.

Then the dean took her away and she never came back.

I was curious and asked the teacher why.

The teacher said that she ate too much delicious food and died of overeating.

That girl was not an exception. Every girl with long hair who was taken away would eventually be stuffed to death.

As time went by, I understood the relationship between long hair and being taken away.

I finally realized that Sharon cut my hair short not because she hated me.

She was also seven years old, but why did she know that we couldn't have long hair?

When I was fourteen and had my first period, I asked Sharon about this.

Sharon smiled and touched my head. "Viola, you are very smart."
