Chapter 2
Several servants immediately surrounded me. I screamed and protected my body. An unprecedented sense of humiliation overwhelmed my sanity.
Scarlett pointed at my nose and shouted arrogantly: "In Riverbend City, who doesn't know that I, Scarlett, represent Mr. Shaw? If you dare to offend Mr. Shaw, I'm afraid you don't want to live anymore!"
At this moment, a hot tear slowly slid down the corner of the eye of Leo who was unconscious in my arms.
I spit out the blood foam in my mouth, my eyes filled with cold murderous intent: "Today, if my son makes the slightest mistake, I will not only make the Shaw Family disappear from Riverbend City, but also make sure that the names of all of you present here are engraved on his tombstone and buried with him!"
The brutal and murderous aura made the servants dazed for a moment.
The time is now!
I took the opportunity to throw myself to the ground, and pressed my fingers with all my strength onto the largest piece of the badge.
The tingling pain and faint electric sensation from my fingertips let me know that I had succeeded.
Almost at the same time, a steady and familiar voice came from the tiny earphones hidden in my ears.
"Elena, don't be afraid. Adam will be here soon, and Grandpa is on his way too."
My threat sounded like a joke to Scarlett.
She covered her bleeding earlobe and laughed maliciously: "Buried with the dead? Just because you are a Long Island housewife who works around the stove? Do you know...which direction the door of the cemetery opens?"
"Scarlett, you're committing murder!" I stared at her.
But she smiled even more smugly, leaned over and cruelly revealed the truth in my ear: "Murder? No, it was Vincent himself who made your son sit in the trunk."
My heart felt like it was being gripped by an invisible hand.
"Why?" I asked hoarsely.
"Because your son was greedy and knelt on the ground to eat the cookie crumbs that Jax dropped on the ground." Scarlett stood up and admired my expression with satisfaction. "Vincent saw it and said that he is as lowly as you and was born to be a slave. He was punished to reflect on his mistakes in the trunk."
With a bang, the last string in my mind broke. A thousand arrows piercing my heart is nothing more than this!
Vincent and I have been separated for many years and have no feelings for each other. But because he is Leo's biological father, I have never sanctioned him financially, allowing him to enjoy the glory and dignity of "Mr. Shaw". I didn't expect that he would be so heartless!
"Water... Please, give me a bottle of water..." I completely gave up arguing with them and just wanted to save my son.
Scarlett gave a look and a nanny immediately brought a basin of leftovers that looked like slop, and with a "splash", it poured over Leo and me from head to toe!
"Don't you want some water? Here you go." Scarlett laughed her head off. "My dog loves to lick these things. It's a good way to cool your son down."
She snapped her fingers and the Doberman immediately pounced on her!
"You beast! Get out of here!" I used all my strength, turned over and pressed Leo down, using my back and arms to block the beast's bites. The canine teeth instantly pierced my flesh, and I felt severe pain, but I refused to let go.
Just when I was about to give up, a loud shout came: "Stop!"
Adam finally arrived! He kicked the vicious dog away, and his tall figure quickly protected me behind him. This was his first warning.
"Adam! Where's the medical team?" When I saw him, it was like I saw a life-saving straw.
Adam's face flashed with embarrassment and anger: "Miss... I'm sorry. Mr. Shaw has transferred all available medical resources to the headquarters. He said... he needs to interpret Master Jax's genetic test report overnight to ensure that he can live a long life."

He paused, and relayed the scumbag's words with difficulty: "He also said that you, as a housewife, can't even take care of your child and made the child sick. As a punishment, he will not provide any help."
At that moment, I couldn't even feel the pain in my heart, only numbness and coldness remained.
Adam saw that I was in a state of dismay, and quickly added, "But don't worry, Miss! The master has already used his connections to take over the business and finances of the Shaw Family! Our people will be here soon!"
Scarlett was confused and thought we were bluffing. She took out her cell phone with disdain, ready to call someone to "humiliate" us.
"Hello, is this the New Noble Mall? Send that million-dollar Hermès I ordered yesterday to Shaw Manor now."
There was silence on the other end of the phone for a few seconds, and then the customer service's polite but cold voice came: "Sorry, Mrs. Shaw. I just received a notice from the bank that all the bank cards and credit lines in your name have been frozen."
"Freeze? Impossible! Do you know who I am?!" Scarlett screamed hysterically into the phone.
She hung up the phone abruptly and immediately dialed Vincent's number. She started crying as soon as she spoke: "Vincent! Come back soon! This crazy woman brought people to the manor to cause trouble. She...she also scratched me!"
Vincent on the other end of the line said soothingly, "Be good, don't cry. I've already returned on a private plane and will be here in an hour at most. Give her the phone number."
Scarlett looked at me mockingly and turned on the speakerphone.
“Elena! Before I come back, clean up this farce and don’t let me see any unpleasant people or things.”
His voice came through the receiver, coldly: "Otherwise, it won't be as simple as a divorce."
After hanging up the phone, Scarlett instantly regained her confidence.
At this moment, a black Rolls-Royce slowly stopped at the gate of the manor, and a blond and blue-eyed French man got out of the car. He was the president of Hermès Asia Pacific, carrying a huge orange box.
Scarlett's face lit up with joy.
The president smiled and said, "Madam, Mr. Shaw has reserved a credit line of 10 million with us. He just called us personally and asked us to withdraw the line immediately for your spending." He emphasized the word "Madam" very much and looked at me with a look full of sarcasm.
Scarlett took the black card and raised a hint of sarcasm at the corner of her mouth: "Mr. President, I heard that you hate fakes the most, right?" She turned her eyes to me and pointed at my coat, "Then take a look at the clothes this woman is wearing, is it fake?"
My coat was made by Savile Row Atelier, a top domestic clothing brand. It was tailored for me by a craftsman in his seventies. It is the only one of its kind in the world. This season's new Hermès product was specially authorized by the old man to be copied.
The president glanced at her viciously, with a look of annoyance on his face: "This... nanny, please respect yourself and destroy it yourself."
Adam, who had been following my orders to stay close to Leo, couldn't help but stand up now. He stared at the president with cold eyes and issued a stern warning: "If you want to die, just touch him and try."
But Scarlett seemed to have received an imperial decree. Before I could react, she took a step forward. With a crisp sound of "swish", the priceless handmade coat was torn in half like a cheap piece of paper and thrown to the ground!
Just then, Jax, who had been hiding nearby, suddenly jumped out.
