Chapter 7
-=Yesha's Point of View=-
I awoke terrified because I feared I was still in the hotel room, but when I looked around, I realized I was in my own room.
"It was just a dream, Yesha," I reassured myself.
I checked the time on my phone and saw that it was only 5:30 a.m. and that I still had plenty of time to spare, but I chose to leave my room.
I looked at Dustin's closed door and assumed he was still sleeping, so I decided to give him a few more hours.
"You're up early; why don't you take a bath first? I'm almost finished preparing our breakfast; is your half-brother still sleeping?" She inquired, and I couldn't believe how casually he spoke the word "half-brother," as if he comfortably accepted Dustin as my half-brother.
"I guess he's still sleeping," I replied, my stomach grumbling as I smelled my mother's cooking.
She was cooking garlic rice and longanisa, so I went back to my room to get my toiletries so I could take a bath, and when I was done showering, I went straight back to the kitchen, where Dustin was already sitting comfortably.
When I watched how my mother pampered Dustin as if he were her own son, I couldn't help but frown.
"Wait a minute, who is the biological child here?" I mused to myself, but I didn't dwell on it too much as I sat in my usual seat.
"Good morning, big sis," Dustin remarked, his normal charming smile on his face as if nothing life-changing had happened the day before.
"Morning," I answered back.
Before eating, I washed my hands first; with this type of food, I really enjoyed eating with my hands, so after drying my hands, I began enjoying the food that my mom had prepared.
I fought not to laugh when my eyes fell on Dustin; he was trying to imitate the way I eat, and it looked sad; because of the way he eats, I was reminded of an old Filipino commercial with a famous football player.
"Dustin, you're doing it wrong. Take a look at how I do it," when I couldn't take it anymore, I said.
The way he looked at me, it was as if he was trying to learn something really important; he is so cute while being so serious.
It took him several tries until he got the hang of it, and I could tell he was having fun.
I decided to leave for work after finishing my meal, so I brushed my teeth and changed into my work clothes.
"I'm going to work," I told my mother when I found her watching TV in the living room.
"Be careful, don't drive too fast," she said, not even glancing at me.
I was about to depart when my eye was drawn to Dustin, who was still wearing his shirt.
"Where do you think you're going?" I asked, and as I saw his sheepish smile, I dreaded the thought that was racing through my head right now.
"I'm coming with you; I'd want to see where you work," he replied, smiling.
"For your information, mister, I'm heading to work," I said firmly.
"I know, that's why I wanted to see where you work," he replied, still smiling.
I had no choice but to bring him with me; he was persistent, and he wouldn't stop unless I agreed to bring him along, and my mom had ordered me to do so.
Again, who is her biological child here?
The way he acts simply demonstrates that he is still a kid, and sixteen is still a child in my perspective. He was maybe 5 inches taller than me, so if you saw us, you'd assume we were the same age.
I took extra precautions because I wasn't used to riding with a passenger, and I could hear him having a good laugh as we neared EDSA.
It took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to my office, where I dropped him off.
"As you can see, you are not allowed to enter, so what are your plans while I am working?" I asked.
"In fact, I was considering going to Starbucks while waiting for the mall to open and waiting for your lunch break so we could have lunch together," he cheerfully replied.
I didn't react quickly when he suddenly seized my phone, and when I looked at what he was doing, I saw that he was keying some numbers in my cellphone, and then calling his number with my phone.
"Now that I have your cellphone number, you can check on me without worry," he remarked before heading to Starbucks.
I watched him until he entered the coffee shop, at which point I decided to drive to the building's parking area and park my bike.
"Good morning," I greeted everyone on our team, and when the clock hit 7 a.m., we immediately got to work.
I was so preoccupied with my work that I didn't notice Xavier's arrival, and it wasn't until after 10 p.m. that I realized someone was staring at me.
I was taken aback as our gazes locked, and I could see the yearning in his eyes, so I averted my gaze.
I nodded to acknowledge his presence and returned to my work, but I couldn't ignore the way he was looking at me.
I remembered Sally mentioning Xavier getting an office on our floor, but I didn't expect him to be operating in our actual office.
I tried hard not to look at him, but I couldn't resist the temptation, so I peered, and there he was, reading the proposals we filed yesterday before the shift ended.
I had the freedom to watch his every movement because he wasn't looking in my direction, from the way he caressed his chin when deep in contemplation, to the way he grimaced when he read something he didn't agree on, to the way his adams' apple moved when he drank his water.
I was so engrossed with observing his every movement that I didn't notice him looking at me.
"Shoot!" When I noticed a knowing look on his face while looking at me, I swiftly diverted my eyes and returned to my computer.
But, after a few minutes, I couldn't stop looking back at him and noticed that he was engaged with his work, but there was a broad grin on his lips that suggested he was laughing, probably at me.
I tried hard not to look in his direction and to concentrate on my work. Thirty minutes had passed when Sally called my attention.
"Yesha," she said, "Xavier wants us in his office."
The rapid hammering of my heart made me worry if Sally could hear it as well, as I followed her to Xavier's office in silence.
Sally knocked on the door three times before we heard Xavier's permission to enter.
"Good morning, Mr. Fajardo," she said respectfully.
"Please have a seat, and remember what I said about calling me, Mr. Fajardo?" He asked with a big grin on his lips, staring directly at Sally as if ignoring my presence, which irritated me.
"Right, sorry about that, Xavier," she replied nervously.
This is the first time I've seen Sally act this way; she was always confident, but suddenly she seemed nervous.
"No worries, now let's get down to business; I simply want to talk to you both about the proposal that I believe Yesha proposed," he remarked as he examined the papers I had submitted yesterday.
I couldn't stop worrying when he mentioned my proposal; after all, Sally had requested everyone to submit a plan that would be sent to Xavier, so I'm not sure why he was bringing our attention to mine.
"Did he finds fault with it?" I wondered.
"Yesha, could you please come here?" he asked, and I get a bad feeling about the way he smiled at me.
I had no choice but to move to his side to see the papers he had in front of him.
When I felt his palm brush over my bun, I gasped, and when I looked at him, his expression seemed unfazed, as if he wasn't doing anything wrong.
"I want you to look at this part," he said in a deadpan tone.
"Sir, yes," I tried to shift my hips away from his grasp, but he just kept pushing.
In Sally's position, she couldn't see our boss's harassment of me unless she moved to the right, where she could see the disgusting thing this guy was doing to my butt!
"Yesha, are you all right? Why are you so tense?" He asked innocently, but I could sense a challenging undertone.
It seemed as if he was waiting for me to respond negatively, and it appears that he was expecting that kind of reaction, but I will not give him the satisfaction of seeing me lose my cool, but instead.
"Ouch!" When I pinched his palm while snatching my bun, I heard Xavier cry.
"What's the matter, Mr. Fajardo?" I asked, pretending to be clueless, but deep down I'm already rejoicing, serve him right for harassing me, what a jerk!
But he doesn't appear to have learned his lesson, because I felt his hand on my bun again, and it was already inciting pleasure from me.
"You looked uneasy, Yesha; do you want me to get you a glass of water?" Sally asked, worried.
"Yes, please," I answered, trying not to stutter.
I waited for Sally to leave the room, and when she did, I had the opportunity to confront the devil himself.
As if on cue, "What the hell are you doing here?" I screamed.
I'm furious right now because of what he was doing earlier, but I'm even furious with myself for enjoying his advances toward me.
My brain tells me I shouldn't feel anything, but my treacherous body begs me to differ.
"I'm not sure what you mean," he said innocently, which annoyed me even more.
I'm on the verge of losing my rationality, and I may slap him at any moment now for harassing me.
I was already thinking about it, but it was a good thing Sally came back with a glass of water, which she handed to me.
"Thank you," I said after drinking.
While we were discussing my proposal, I tried to keep as far away from Xavier as possible. I would not give him the satisfaction of messing with me and touching my buttocks again.
We finally came to a resolution about lunchtime, and after a few small revisions, Xavier finally allowed us to leave, but before I could even get out of his office, he summoned me back.
I forced a smile at Sally and strolled over to Xavier's table after she left.
"What?!" I asked, angrily, dropping any pretense I was displaying when Sally was around.
"Would you like to go out to lunch with me?" He asked as if he hadn't done anything wrong.
I was about to say no when my phone began to ring, and when I realized it was Dustin calling, I immediately answered it.
"Hello, Dustin? Yes, I'm almost done here, just wait for me in G5," I answered when he ask me if I'm already on my way.
He was checking in on me because we had planned to meet for lunch, but when I saw Xavier glaring at me, an idea struck me.
"Yeah, I know, I'm sorry, babe," I responded lovingly, and I could tell Dustin was confused with the way I talked to him, and because of that, I heard him calling me weirdo on the other line.
"I'm so sorry, Xavier," I responded, smiling at his smug expression, "but I'm having lunch with a special someone."
I didn't wait for his response as I left his office, but as I left, I noticed a domineering expression on his face that I completely ignored.
Chapter 8
-=Yesha's Point of View=-
I left Xavier's office feeling victorious; I hope what I did put him in his proper place, but I have my doubts.
G5 is not far from my office, so I decided to walk there.
There were a lot of people on their lunch break as well, but I was still hoping we could find a place to eat because I only have an hour of lunch break.
When I checked my phone, I noticed a text message from Dustin. He was already waiting in G5 in front of the National Bookstore, according to the message he sent.
I spotted him right away when I arrived at the meeting location he had specified in his text message.
In all fairness to Dustin, he stood out from the crowd, and I was about to approach him when I noticed him talking to a cute Chinese-looking guy.
"Excuse me, but..." The Chinese-looking guy rudely interrupted me without glancing my way, making me frown.
"Get lost, miss whomever you are, can't you see we're busy?" He said, irritably, finally looking at me, and I could see the astonishment on his face as he saw my face.
His mouth is agape as he stares at me, and I swear I can see him drool. I'm not trying to brag, but a lot of people have mentioned that I could be a celebrity because of my looks, which I usually disregard.
"Uhmm... Hi, my name is Rui; what is yours?" He asked with a smile as if he hadn't just hissed at me a few minutes ago.
"Actually, I'm the sister of the guy you were flirting with," I responded, pulling Dustin away from this rude Chinito-looking guy, and I could see the disappointment in his eyes as he looked at both of us.
"Goodbye, Rui! I'll text you later!" Dustin said this while waving to Rui.
"Dustin, you've only been here since this morning, and yet you can't stop yourself from flirting with a stranger. I mean, it's different here than it is in the United States," I felt like I was already acting as a big sister as I said that.
"Uhmm, I'm actually from the United Kingdom, not the United States, and besides, I've been a good boy since I only received two numbers from those lovely girls I met earlier, plus another one from Rui," he bragged.
When I heard his answer, I had an inner facepalm. I didn't know what to say in response, but I couldn't blame the people around him because he's so damn attractive.
A lot of people were staring at us, which made me wonder if they were thinking if we were on a date or what.
"So, where would you like to eat?" I inquired.
"Hmmm... I'd like to have Filipino food," he replied after a few moments of contemplation.
"Ok, I know a place that serves authentic Filipino food," I said.
The restaurant I was referring to is on the mall's second floor, and after finding a table, we summoned the waiter to place our order.
To satisfy his hunger for Filipino food, I ordered the usual: pork adobo, fried pork spring rolls, pinakbet, and halo-halo for dessert.
After taking our order, the waiter left to convey it to the kitchen, informing us that our food will be ready in fifteen minutes.
While we waited for our food, I decided to have a look around, but I was startled to see a familiar face approaching the restaurant's entrance.
"Dustin, hurry up! Put your arm around my shoulder!" I immediately ordered Dustin.
I could tell he was perplexed, but it was a good thing he did what I told him to do.
"Hello there, Mr. Fajardo. Are you also here for lunch?" I inquired, trying to look sweet with Dustin.
"Yes, I'm here for my lunch break; I didn't expect to see you," he explained.
I observed how he stared at Dustin, particularly at Dustin's hand on my shoulder.
"Where are my manners, by the way, Mr. Fajardo, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Dustin. Dustin meet my boss, Mr. Fajardo," I said introducing them to each other.
Xavier's expression darkened upon hearing how I introduced Dustin to him, while Dustin felt uneasy and is most certainly puzzled as to why I introduced him as my boyfriend.
"Do you mind if I join you?" He asked, his gaze fixed on me.
"Yes."
"No"
Dustin and I almost answered at the same time, and when I looked at him, he had a wicked smile on his face, as if he had finally figured out what was going on.
"Don't mind her, Mr. Fajardo, you're welcome to join us for lunch, by the way, like my girlfriend said, my name is Dustin, Dustin Wills," he said, holding his hand in the air as if waiting for a handshake.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Dustin. You can call me Xavier." Xavier accepted Dustin's handshake.
As soon as the waiter arrived, Xavier ordered a large number of items from the menu, enough for at least 10 people.
Our order was finally served after twenty minutes. I tried to concentrate on my food while ignoring Xavier's piercing look.
"How long have you been together?" He unexpectedly questioned while we were eating.
I cleared my throat first, then looked at Dustin as if to say, "Let me do the talking."
"I've known him for about a year, but we only started dating six months ago," I explained, squeezing Dustin's hand.
"I see, but isn't he too young to be your boyfriend? I assume he's only seventeen, or perhaps eighteen?" He inquired while waiting for confirmation.
"Please allow me to correct you, Xavier. I'm only sixteen, but I honestly don't mind our age gap as long as we love each other. They say that everything is fair in love and battle," Dustin emphasized.
After hearing his response, I relaxed inwardly; it was a good thing he knew what to say, but I can still sense the tension at our table.
"I see... so, is he the one who bro..."
"That's enough, Mr. Fajardo! It was all in the past now," I suddenly said, stopping him from talking.
How could I forget that he was aware of my breakup; wasn't that the reason I got drunk when we met in the bar?
He only shrugged his shoulders, but I could tell from his eyes that this matter is far from over.
Our lunch continued, and after finishing my food, I excused myself to freshen up.
When I entered the restroom, there was no one else around, and thus I was free to conduct my business. However, I was taken aback when I noticed that I was not alone upon exiting the cubicle.
"What do you think you're doing here? This is the ladies' room!" I shrieked.
He didn't say anything when he lock the door.
"What exactly are you doing? Don't dare to do anything or else I'll scream," panicking, I warned him.
When I observed him coming toward me, I subtly took a step back. He continued to walk slowly towards me, much like a predator does to its prey.
I continued to back away till I felt a cold wall in my back, and I could already feel the sweat on the back of my neck when I saw the determination in his eyes.
I instantly closed my eyes as I noticed his face approaching mine, and I was preparing him to kiss me when I heard his voice near my left ear.
"Break up with him and be with me instead," he whispered while softly biting my earlobe. "I'm very certain I'm a better lover than he is."
With that little contact, I felt my desire run wild, and before my body betrayed me, I swiftly opened my eyes and distanced myself from him.
"I can't believe you're insinuating such a thing, Mr. Fajardo; I may have made a mistake sleeping with you, but that doesn't make me an easy woman," I retorted.
I hastily unlocked the door and dashed back to our seat before he could make another move on me.
Being alone with Xavier screams danger, therefore I had to stay away from him at all costs!
Dustin was still eating his dessert when I returned to our table.
"We should go right now!" Then I asked the waiter to get our bill and was about to take out my wallet when I felt a strong hand grasp my hand.
"Let me," Xavier said looking at me intently.
I didn't protest and let him pay our tab, and after thanking him, I dragged Dustin out of the restaurant.
"Think about my offer, Yesha; I promise you won't be disappointed!" Xavier yelled.
I ignored him and continued on my way with Dustin. We only came to a halt when I felt it was safe to do so.
"What was that all about?" Dustin inquired.
"Nothing," I responded, "just ignore him."
I returned to the office, while Dustin chose to watch movies as he waited for my shift to end.
I tried to concentrate on my work, but I couldn't help but feel Xavier's stare from his office.
I had the impression that time was going extremely slowly; the good news was that Xavier was unobtrusive since he works in silence in his office.
"Finally!" At 5 p.m., I felt as if the weight on my chest had been lifted.
Immediately after waving goodbye to my coworkers, I snatched my bag and ran out the door.
"Goodbye, Xavier!" As I walked to the elevator, I could still hear my colleagues saying their goodbyes to Xavier.
I sighed in relief when I finally got inside the lift heading to the parking lot; I wasn't sure I could stand being in the same room as Xavier any longer.
It crossed my mind to resign, but I genuinely enjoy my job and couldn't leave my comrades, who have become my friends.
I texted Dustin to meet me in the parking lot before I left the office, and when I checked my phone again, I got a text message from Dustin saying he was already waiting in the parking lot.
In the parking lot, I spotted Dustin right away, but I didn't expect to also run into Angie.
"Hello there, Yesha! Is he your boyfriend? He's rather attractive "Angie said while trying to be adorable in front of my half-brother.
"No way! He is, in fact, my half-brother. This is Dustin, my half-brother, and this is Angie, my coworker."
I realized Angie wasn't paying attention and was instead staring at something behind my back, so I turned around to check what she was staring at and the horror I felt when I saw who it was.
"Hey, Xavier! Are you going back home?" Angie asked a smile on her face, fully ignorant of the trouble she had caused me.
"Actually, I was about to leave when I noticed you guys. Oh, and aren't you going to introduce me to your half-brother, Yesha?" He queried, emphasizing the word half-brother and grinning gleefully.
"Mis...ter Fajardo, Sir, this is my half-brother, Dustin," I eventually confessed, and when I saw the look in his eyes, I was terrified.
"We'd better get going," I frantically reply as I dragged Dustin to my bike, and we left, but not before I heard Xavier's remark.
"It's a pleasure to meet your brother, Yesha!" he stated with sarcasm in his voice, emphasizing the word brother, and for some reason, I felt it was a curse word.
I could feel Xavier's gaze on me even without looking back, and I knew my life in the office is about to become more turbulent.
Chapter 9
-=Yesha's Point of View=-
I still can't believe my lie was exposed so quickly, and this time I blame Angie!
I can already imagine Xavier laughing at me, and the worst part is that the person behind me didn't help me at all; he could have simply warned me that Xavier was behind me earlier, but he didn't.
I had the impression that no one was on my side anymore, and that everyone was on Xavier's.
When we eventually reached home, I was exhausted, and after parking my bike in front of our house, I headed inside, completely ignoring Dustin.
I went to my room to get my toiletries and a change of clothes, and then I headed straight to the bathroom.
I was about to shut the bathroom door when I heard Dustin.
"Wait a minute, Yesha!" He yelled.
"What now? What do you want?" I asked, still irritated with him.
"Do you and Xavier have a romantic relationship?" He asked, smiling, but instead of receiving an answer from me, he found himself facing the door as I slammed it in his face.
"The nerve of him to ask me such a question, and to think he didn't even help me," I muttered to myself, even while I was having a bath.
I tried to wash away the aggravation I was feeling as a result of all the problems in my life, particularly my complication with my boss.
"God! Why won't he leave me alone?!" I asked myself over and over, but I couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer, even after I had completed having a bath.
I finally stepped out of the bathroom after drying myself and putting on my house clothes.
When I realized that Dustin's accent was making it difficult for my mother to understand him, I couldn't help but chuckle.
Don't get me wrong, she could understand English, but Dustin's thick British accent was making it difficult for her to understand him.
I had intended to watch them in silence, but my mother noticed me, and I could see the relief on her face as if she had found a lifesaver.
"Good thing you're here, dinner's almost ready," she added before leaving without waiting for a response from me.
"Hey, Dustin, you should take a bath first, dinner's almost ready," I replied as I sat in the empty seat.
"Finally, it's very hot here in the Philippines," he said as he removed his shirt and entered the bathroom.
Because of Dustin's familiarity with me and my mother, I could only sigh internally; he was only here for a couple of days, but he's so at ease that he could pull his shirt off without hesitation.
I went to check on my mother and found her still busy in the kitchen, with a faint smile on her face when she spotted me.
"It's a good thing you arrived on time since I couldn't understand what your half-brother was saying," she joked.
"I noticed," I replied, jokingly, which elicited a pinch from her.
After suppressing my laughter, I offered to help her, but she promptly rejected my offer and told me that I have no idea about kitchen matters.
But I didn't take it to heart, because she was correct: I had neither talent nor knowledge for cooking.
Mom had finished cooking in fifteen minutes, and I had just noticed Dustin sitting in the dining room.
"Many thanks for the meal!" Dustin said happily, and without waiting for an invitation, he began to dig in.
I couldn't stop smiling as I watched Dustin eat his dinner with gusto, and when my mom and my eyes locked, I knew we were both thinking the same thing.
It's a joy to witness Duston appreciate Filipino food; even though he's British, he ate everything my mother made for us.
"You two should go to bed early, and I'll clean the dishes," mom suggested as she gathered the dirty dishes and carried them to the sink.
I went upstairs to my room. and tried to sleep, but even after lying down for more than an hour, I couldn't sleep, so I chose a seat near the window and gazed out the window.
Even though it was late, there were still a number of people outside, either gossiping, drinking, or playing outside with their children.
I sighed as I pondered what tomorrow would store for me, or what additional challenges I'd have to face.
It was after midnight when I finally felt sleepy, and as soon as my head hit my pillow, I fell asleep.
Even though I slept late, I had to get up early for work, and I didn't bother waking up Dustin and instead left him to sleep.
I was scared he'd insist on accompanying me to work; he's a harsh reminder of my failed lie with Xavier yesterday.
I had a quick shower and an even quicker breakfast. I was worried that Dustin might awaken shortly.
"I'm heading to work, Mom; take care of Dustin," I hurriedly murmured as I walked away.
Our presentation is quickly approaching, and while Xavier has already agreed to go with my plan, we were supposed to work together to improve it before presenting it to the client.
I was greeted with a smile by the morning guard as I showed my ID. "You must have an important presentation coming up," he said.
I simply smiled at him, received my ID, and proceeded to the elevator.
It was common for me to arrive at work early if we had a presentation scheduled.
When I got to our office, I was still humming a Pink song; I didn't bother lowering my voice because I was very sure I was the only one there.
"Just give me a reason, just a little.... son of a gun!" I abruptly stopped singing and almost cursed when I was frightened to find a man silently standing on my left, and when I checked again, I saw that it was Xavier.
He appeared amused as he watched me singing while standing still.
"Don't stop, and please don't mind me," he replied with a smile.
It's a good thing I was able to keep my mouth shut, or he'd definitely hear a lot of verbal abuse from me.
I faked a smile as I said good morning to him as if he hadn't startled me.
"Good morning, Yesha, and how was your boyfriend, oh wait, your brother, silly me?" Grinning from ear to ear.
Reminding myself to keep my cool and not get annoyed by this man, I began counting backward from one to ten as a way of keeping myself from becoming upset.
"Don't forget Yesha, he's still your boss, and you love your job," I reminded myself.
"He's good, thank you for asking," I replied, still smiling at him, but the grin disappeared when I realized something, and when I looked at Xavier's face, I saw that we were both thinking the same thing.
When I realized it was just Xavier and me in the office, I could feel a cold sweat building on the back of my neck.
"Wait, what are you doing?" When I saw him approaching me, I panicked, but he didn't approach me and just walked straight past me.
I followed his every move till he got to the water dispenser.
"Relax, Yesha. I was just grabbing some water," he remarked in a sensual tone.
I'm not sure what got into me as I watched him drink half of the water in his cup, and I'm not sure if it was deliberate or not, but a bead of water spilled from the side of his lips, which he licked sexily with his tongue.
I couldn't take my gaze away from what he was doing, and I blamed my blasted libido for making me feel so hot.
He got another cup of water after finishing the first one and drank it in one gulp.
The movement of his Adam's apple while he drinks arouse my desire; who would have imagined that drinking water could be so seductive?
I suddenly remembered the passionate night we shared, how his tempting lips kissed every inch of my body, leaving nothing untouched.
"It appears you're thirsty as well, Ms. Santillan; would you want to have a sip?" While holding a cup of water, he asked with innuendo.
I could feel the sexual tension between us, and I felt like I was burning out despite the fact that the AC was on, especially because his eyes were blazing with desire when he looked at me.
"Damn, I accidentally spilled water in my shirt," he grumbled, and I noticed a wet patch on his shirt.
"Wait! What... are you doing?"
I was horrified and pleased at the same time when I saw Xavier removing his shirt, and he was able to remove his shirt in a fluid instant, revealing a well-toned torso.
"Six-pack abs!" My mind hollered.
"Because my shirt was wet, I decided to take it off. You don't have any problems with that, do you?" He inquired, teasingly, as if daring me.
"Certainly not! You are free to do whatever you choose!" I hissed and then went to my table to get to work.
I tried to concentrate on my work, but I couldn't tear my gaze away from Xavier.
It was impossible not to be affected by Xavier's smoking figure and dashing features.
I sighed several times because Xavier kept strolling back and forth at my table, making it difficult for me to concentrate.
My innocent eyes can't stop staring at his body, particularly his chest area.
I observed a delicately layered of hair on his chest and wondered how it felt to trace my fingers to his chest, but as I realized what I was thinking, I straightened my posture and my glance landed on his face, where I saw a knowing look.
I could feel my cheeks heating up with shame, so I made an effort to ignore Xavier and his well-toned body.
Minutes passed until the door finally opened, revealing some of my coworkers.
Thinking about how Xavier could explain himself, shirtless and all, a wicked smirk emerged on my lips.
"Let's see how you can get out of this," I thought to myself.
"Good morning, Yesha, good morning, Xavier," Angie replied, but I didn't hear any exclamations of ecstasy from her, which I expected because Angie is a sucker for a well-endowed figure.
To my dismay, I quickly looked at Xavier and discovered he was already completely clothed.
He returned my gaze with an innocent smile, as if he could read my mind.
The hours passed, and I was still irritated by Xavier's attempts to seduce me.
"Xavier Fajardo, you're a jerk. I'll get back to you as soon as possible!" I made a pledge.
