Chapter 4

-= Yesha's Point of View=-

"Damn!" While riding my bike to work, I couldn't stop cursing.

Today is Monday, and I dislike Monday because it marks the beginning of the week, which means I have to go to work, and since a lot happened over the weekend, I wanted to rest at home.

As expected, I received a scolding from my mother for not returning home and spending the night outside; if she only knew what I did, she would definitely rip me apart, therefore I would never tell her what I did last weekend.

I definitely want to skip work today, especially because I'm already feeling soreness and ache all over my body, particularly in my lady part.

I couldn't believe I had taken that monster of a shaft in me, considering he was big and I was still a virgin at the time.

It just goes to show how skillful he was in bed and with women. There is no doubt that he had a lot of experience in that area, and for some reason, I felt bitter thinking about the women he had slept with, but I quickly dismissed it.

I don't have the right to feel anything because it was only a one-night stand, so I chose to move on and forget about my experience with that remarkable man.

I continued driving to work, which was difficult given the discomfort in between my legs.

I work for Fajardo Advertising Company, which is located in the heart of Makati and is one of the largest advertising firms in the country.

I did my OJT with them, and after I graduated, they offered me a job, which I gratefully accepted.

I really liked the atmosphere and the closeness I had with my coworker, therefore I didn't hesitate to sign a contract with them, and since then I grew and learned a lot from working in this company.

I work with a variety of products, including soap, restaurants, and junk foods, among others, and I thoroughly like developing concepts for all products signed to us.

As much as I wanted to forget what happened last weekend, it wasn't easy because he made a lasting impression on me, and I even dreamed about him last night.

"Oh my goodness, Yesha. Get a hold of yourself!" I scolded myself for almost missing the red light, because of thinking about that man.

My travel from my home to Makati normally takes longer than an hour.

During this time of day, traffic is extremely congested, particularly in Makati, the Philippines' business capital and busiest city.

This is why I opted to get a motorcycle instead of a car; it was much easier for me to get around on my bike rather than the cumbersome car.

I got to work five minutes before seven a.m., and when I spotted Angie waiting for the elevator, I approached her right immediately.

"Good morning, Angie," I said.

Angie is one of my creative team colleagues; she is what you might term a "female who acts like a gay man," in that the way she acts and speaks could lead you to believe she is gay, and not a real woman.

"Good morning, Yesha. How was your weekend?" She asked in a high-pitched tone, arms akimbo.

"It was great, of course, nothing much happened. How about you?" I asked.

"Regrettably, I am such a loser. I mean, my boyfriend doesn't get me and keeps telling me to act normal, as if there's something wrong with the way I talk and act." She remarked, her perfect left brow arched.

"Later," I said when the elevator opened.

We talked till we got to our office, which is on the twelfth floor of the building.

We had barely finished talking when our manager arrived and asked for our attention, indicating that she had an announcement to make.

The creative team is made up of eight persons that oversee the concept and execution of generating a commercial for our clients.

"Everyone, pay attention. Mr. Fajardo's son had arrived from the United States and would be taking over the company from now on, therefore I want everyone to put their best foot forward," Sally announced.

Sally is our team's leader, and while she is strict at work, she is just as jolly and playful outside of the workplace as the rest of us.

"His name is Xavier Fajardo, and he is the only son of our boss, Xander Fajardo. He is 27 years old and graduated from the University of California. Before starting his own business, he studied in B.S. Management and worked as the head of the marketing department for one of the largest corporations in the United States," Sally finished by looking at each of us.

The rumor of Xander stepping down had been circulating for a month, but no one was certain until now.

"Impressive," I thought to myself when I learned of Xavier's accomplishment, but it befuddles me why he needs to take over this company when he was also running his own company abroad.

I'm bothered because we're going to have a new boss, which means I'll have to try to get along with him.

The old Fajardo is one of the kindest individuals I've ever met; he doesn't act like a boss, but as a friend to his staff, and I was hoping that his son would be the same.

Following Sally's announcement, we returned to our respective tables and began working.

We were now working on a popular soap detergent; this would be one of our largest projects in history, therefore making a mistake was out of the question.

I tried to concentrate on my work, but Angie, being the gay woman that she was, kept bugging me with questions about our new boss.

"Do you think our new boss is good-looking?" She inquired.

I just shrugged my shoulders, as if to say, "I don't care." I mean, why would I bother thinking about how our new boss looks when it has nothing to do with my job?

"You're such a mood killer, that's what you are, Yesha," she added loudly, to which I responded with another shrug of the shoulders.

"But seriously, aren't you interested in what he looks like? I mean, if Xander is still attractive at his age, I'm sure his son is as well," she spoke dreamily.

"Maybe," I answered nonchalantly.

"Perhaps he's single and seeking for a partner," she jokingly said, looking at me meaningfully.

"You know what, Angie, I think I'm going to pass; I've gone through a lot, and I don't care how good-looking or hot that man is; I will never get into a relationship, serious or fling," I said flatly.

"Yesha, you're such a downer. I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up as an old maid," she replied, sticking out her tongue at me.

I just laughed and didn't take her words seriously because I'm so used to Angie at the office and can't picture life without a flamboyant woman like her.

After she returned to her desk, I was finally able to get back to work on my task, and I noticed it was nearly midnight when I looked at the clock.

"Ok guys, let's stop in the meantime, and have our lunch," Sally announced, it seems that I was not the only one who noticed the time.

She was already tidying her table and getting ready for lunch when her phone rang, and I couldn't help but notice the panic on her face after hearing the person on the other end of the line.

Sally, who was always calm, became agitated, and it was the first time I had seen her in this state.

"I'm sorry, everyone, but we'll have to reschedule our lunch break because I just got a call from Mr. Xavier's secretary saying he's on his way here," she remarked, fanning her face with her palm.

Given the time and the fact that everyone was already hungry, a murmur of dissatisfaction could be heard in the office, but we had no choice but to wait for our new boss.

"Who the heck does Xavier think of himself?" I said to Angie, but Sally apparently heard what I said.

"Well, Ms. Santillan, Mr. Fajardo is the new CEO of this company, and he has every right to come to the office whenever he likes," she reprimanded.

"Whatever," I thought, not wanting to be scolded for the second time if Sally discovered what I was thinking at the time.

We didn't have an option but to wait for Xavier, but thirty minutes had gone and he still hadn't arrived.

I'm incredibly hungry; I didn't even eat breakfast this morning, and my stomach is already grumbling.

"Yesha, where are you going?" Sally asked as she observed me leave my position.

"I have to go to the restroom, I have to pee!" I couldn't keep the annoyance out of my voice.

I left the office without waiting for her response and went to the washroom on this floor.

I was still pissed when I went to the restroom and did my business. I'm terribly hungry, and I can't stop being grouchy when I'm hungry.

"Talk about work ethics! Employees are entitled to an hour of lunch break, and we're meant to be taking our lunch break right now, but instead, we're waiting for an inconsiderate boss!"

I even yelled at the poor janitor who was staring at me strangely because I was irritated.

She seemed terrified after being scolded by me, and she didn't even complete cleaning before leaving the restroom.

"Yesha, take it easy. You must relax because we are talking about the boss here," I was trying to calm my nerves when I said this.

I stayed in the bathroom for another five minutes before returning to the office.

When I walked in, I observed three men in black suits in Sally's office, and Sally was talking to the man who was gazing out the glass window looking at the entire Makati area.

Sally eventually saw me and signaled for me to enter her office, which I did.

"Sir, by the way. I'd also like you to meet Ayesha Santillan, one of our team's senior members," she said while dangerously staring at me.

"Good afternoon, Sir, my name is Yesha Santil..." When he finally turned around and faced me, I thought I swallowed the words that were about to come out of my mouth.

"OH MY GOODNESS! You've got to be kidding me!" When I saw our new boss, Xavier Fajardo, I exclaimed internally.

Because Xavier Fajardo is the man with whom I had sex! "Oh, my gosh! My boss and I had sex!"

Chapter 5

-=Yesha's Point of View=-

"Oh my goodness!" When I noticed Xavier's surprised expression as he stared at me, I discreetly mumbled, followed by a mischievous smile forming on his face as he stared at me meaningfully.

I didn't think I could withstand his stare, so I averted my gaze, but even when I wasn't looking, I could feel his burning gaze.

It was truly a small world; who would have guessed that I'd be meeting the guy who stole my virginity in a couple of days, and he also happened to be my new boss?

"But he's still incredibly good-looking," I thought to myself, and I couldn't stop staring at him.

When I finally looked at him, I was dumbfounded, and he didn't even try to hide the fact that he was staring at me with such hunger in his eyes.

Sally would have been horrified to see the passion in Xavier's eyes had she been able to see what I was seeing.

I know I should turn away, but I just can't bring myself to do it. As a result, I missed Xavier's outstretched hand in expecting a handshake.

"Yesha, Yesha!" I was eventually awakened from my trance when I heard Sally yell my name.

I instantly turned my attention to Sally, who appeared to be an angry banshee, and when I followed her stare, I noticed Xavier's raised hand.

As I received his handshake, I felt an electric shock that compelled me to swiftly withdraw my hand. I had tried everything to keep it from shaking but had failed horribly.

While still reeling from the sensation of our hands touching against each other, I murmured, "Wel...welcome to the company."

"Thank you, Ms. Santillan; I am happy to be here," he said, still staring at me passionately.

The implication of his words did not escape me, but I chose to ignore it.

I sighed with relief when I was finally allowed to leave Sally's office, and I didn't linger much longer before returning to my station.

I tried hard not to look at Xavier as Sally showed him around the office and next to the other department of the company, which allowed me to slip and escape to the building's rooftop.

When I got to the rooftop, I reached for a cigarette that had been in my purse for a long time, and that's when I discovered my hand was still trembling.

I hadn't smoked in a long time, and the cigarette in my purse was not mine, but Angie's.

I swore not to smoke, but this appears to be an exception.

I called Julia's number while I was still puffing on my cigarette.

"What?! Julia yelled after three rings as soon as she answered my call.

"Juls, I'm freaking out! What should I do?!" I inquired, my voice quivering.

"Huh? What happened? Did something bad happen to you?" She asked, her voice apprehensive.

"I'm alright, it's just... remember what I told you yesterday?" I asked.

"What was that?" She asked.

"About the guy with whom I had sex," I replied.

"The guy who took your virginity? What's about him?" She asked calmly, now that she realized I wasn't in any danger, but to be honest, I think this is worse.

I took a long breath before responding to her query. "He's here, the guy I slept with is here."

"What exactly do you mean he's there? Do you mean in your workplace?"

"Yes, he's my freaking boss! I had sex with my boss!" I yelled, scanning my surroundings for anyone who might have heard me, but when I realized I was the only person on the rooftop, I felt better.

I could hear Julia coughing on the other end of the line, and I was certain she would be shocked by what I had to say.

"No freaking way! Talk about a small world," she commented.

"Tell me about it, but how should I continue? I'm already panicking! After what had happened, how could I face him again?"

I could hear her heaving breathing on the other end, and I knew she was thinking about what I needed to do, and then I heard her speak again after a few minutes.

"What you should do is not panic; act naturally as if you don't know the man; show him your poker face; maybe he won't bother you if you show that what happened between you two doesn't concern you," she suggested.

"Ok, I've got it! Please wish me luck "I answered before finally hanging up, but before I did, I heard her say good luck.

"Ok, Yesha, you can do it, pretend like you don't remember him and don't care what happened between you two, nerves of steel," I finally said, gaining the courage I needed.

The combination of smoking and talking to Julia helped me de-stress.

So, I returned to the office, head held high and radiating confidence as if ready to face anything, including Xavier. However, as soon as I walked into our office, I realized that everyone had left, except for Angie, who appeared to be waiting for me.

"Where have you been? I've been waiting for you to return," she said, irritated.

"Why? Did something happen? Where are the others?" I asked simultaneously.

"Everyone had gone, Xavier had asked everyone to a late lunch, and Sally had ordered me to wait for you," she continued.

"Sorry, I was on the rooftop talking to my friend."

We decided to follow the others to the Japanese restaurant near our office, and Angie couldn't stop talking about our new boss on the elevator.

"Admit it, Xavier is extremely good-looking; he's more attractive than those famous actors," she remarked dreamily.

In response to her statement, I simply nodded my head. I let her talk while we waited for the lift to reach the ground floor.

I kept silent until we arrived at the mall, where the Japanese restaurant was located.

They were already eating when we came, and I noticed Xavier sitting on the farthest of the table seated alongside Sally, but there was no one sitting on his other side.

Angie decided to walk towards the empty seat when she noticed it, but she was quickly halted by Sally.

"Why don't you take this seat, Yesha, and Angie take the seat next to Bob?" Sally suggested, bursting Angie's bubble.

Angie's expression is clearly disappointed as she did what Sally instructed, and the way she stares at me is full of envy; if only she knew I would trade my seat for her any time of day.

I had no choice but to seat next to Xavier, and just being near him makes me uncomfortable.

I thought I was prepared to face him again, but I was mistaken, and all the confidence I had earlier vanished in an instant.

I couldn't get into the food I was eating since it felt bland to me for some reason.

"Actually, Mr. Fajardo, Yesha here is our best employee; she came up with the majority of the concepts that our clients chose," Sally proudly declared.

"Really? I'm impressed, but please call me Xavier. I'm not that old," with his toothpaste commercial smile, he added.

"Sure thing, Xavier," she said, and when she observed that Xavier's sake glass was empty, she instantly grabbed up the sake bottle, but it was also empty, so she gestured for me to pour Xavier's sake because mine had remained untouched.

I tried to stay calm, but my trembling hands caused me to spill the wine in Xavier's pants.

"What did you do?!" Sally hissed at me.

She was about to wipe the wine off his jeans when she realized she shouldn't.

"That's fine, I'll just go to the bathroom, excuse me," Xavier replied before heading to the restroom.

"Pull yourself together, Yesha, you appear to be out of focus today," Sally chided.

Xavier returned to the table a few minutes later and resumed his meal as if nothing had happened.

I felt like this was the longest lunch I'd ever been to, not because we were eating too slowly, but because Xavier's presence was causing my mind to go bananas.

I almost let out a sigh of relief as lunch came to an end, so I stood up and went out of the restaurant, disregarding Sally's call.

I was the first one to arrive at the office, and by the time the others returned from lunch, I was already busy working.

I took a look around and noted that Xavier was not with Sally when she returned, implying that he had probably already left, or so I thought.

Xavier reappeared in our office thirty minutes before the end of our shift, and as if he could sense that I was staring, he turned to face me.

I ignored his stare and seemed to be engaged with my work; I noticed it in the corner of my eyes as he entered Sally's office.

I grabbed my bag and left as soon as the clock struck 5 p.m., without even saying goodbye to my colleagues.

I was nearly sprinting as if demons were chasing after me, and the only time I caught my breath was when I arrived at the parking lot where my motorcycle was parked.

I was relieved to be free of Xavier's clutches, so I was startled when I heard a voice behind me, causing me to drop my keys.

"Hello Yesha, going home already?" He said in his stern voice.

"Mr. Fajardo, sir," I said after picking up my keys, putting on my poker face as Julia had instructed.

"Mr. Fajardo? Interesting, is that how you refer to someone you've had sex with?" He inquired, unconcerned about whether or not anyone heard him.

"Don't say that or someone might hear you, and just so you know, what happened between us was only a one-time affair that will never happen again," I snarled.

"You seem to be confident about it, but we'll see," he remarked, the way he looked at me it was as if he was challenging me.

I chose to ignore what he said and continued riding my bike, but even though I was already going, he remained in the same spot, staring at me as I rode away.

"Shit!"

Chapter 6

-=Yesha's Point of View=-

"Damn it!" I cursed as I rode my motorcycle back home.

The talk between me and Xavier really infuriated me, the nerve of him to propose that I would be willing to have sex with him again because it would never happen again, even though he was incredibly good-looking, but still, I need to be unyielding, once is enough.

I still couldn't believe it when I found out I had a one-night stand with my boss, of all people.

I blame the booze I drank that night; if I hadn't been intoxicated that night, I wouldn't have made the mistake of sleeping with a stranger and losing my virginity, but it's too late to repent now, so I vowed never to drink again.

Aside from drinking, I blame Brix for everything; if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have gotten wasted and slept with a random stranger.

Normally, it takes me more than an hour to get home, but because of how fast I drive, it only took me 40 minutes instead.

"How come you're here so early?" My mother asked as soon as I entered our home.

"I finished my work early, so I decided to go home right away; by the way, is that sinigang?" I inquired as I smelled the dish she was cooking in the kitchen.

So hungry now, and I didn't even eat that well earlier, that it wasn't a surprise to hear the grumbling in my stomach!

Sinigang is a traditional Filipino cuisine made with tamarind-based soup, which can be pork, fish, or shrimp, with different vegetables.

My favorite is the pork one; in any dish, I would prefer pork to any other meat.

"Yeah, I cooked your favorite; why do you want to have dinner already?" She asked when she heard my stomach.

"Yes, I didn't eat much during my lunch break, so I'm hungry right now," I admitted.

"Ok, I'll call you when it's ready," she said.

She returned to the kitchen, while I went straight to my room on the second floor to change into my typical home clothes.

I donned a white shirt with short shorts; it's fine to wear this kind of outfit because I'm only at home.

After a few minutes, I heard mom calling my name, and as I walked to the kitchen, I saw her already adding the vegetables to the sinigang.

"Take a seat, it's almost done," she said, and I did as she instructed, and our dinner was ready after another three minutes of waiting.

"Finally! I'm famished!" I murmured excitedly, and I was about to begin when there was a loud knock on the door, which compelled me to stop eating.

"Such a bother," I said, and with a heavy heart, I was forced to abandon my food to check who was at the door.

Interestingly, as I opened the door, I discovered a foreigner, possibly in his teen years.

"Can I help you?" I asked, perplexed, seeing the young man's good looks.

"Yes, I'd like to know if this is Anita Santillan's house." He inquired, smiling and speaking in a thick British accent, and he's really cute!

'Yes, I am Anita's daughter, Yesha," I replied.

I was taken aback when the foreigner abruptly hugged me, and it took me a few seconds to grasp what he was doing.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" In a state of panic, I asked.

I tried to take his arms off, but he wouldn't budge, and I was about to punch him when his next words caught me off guard.

"I've always wanted to meet you, big sister," he added, eventually letting go with a large smile on his handsome face.

It took me a minute to grasp what he had just said, and I'm sure a look of astonishment was written all over my face.

"Wait, did you just call me your big sister?" I asked, my mouth agape.

"You are, indeed, my sister. By the way, I'm Jerry Wills's son," he responded calmly.

After hearing him mention my biological father's name, I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.

I can't believe or accept what has happened to me; first, I discovered that the man who devirginized me is also my boss, and now I'm meeting my supposed half-brother; can my life get much more complicated?!

I tried to find any similarities between us, but I couldn't find any, and he seemed to detect my skepticism, so he pulled out a bunch of paperwork and photos from his luggage and presented them to me.

He handed me some documentation proving that he is, in fact, Jerry Will's son, and my half-sister.

I also saw a photo of him with Jerry, and while I haven't met the man, I saw a picture of him among my mother's belongings when I was a child.

I could feel my knees weakening, and then I realized we'd been standing at the doorway for quite some time, so I invited him inside.

"Who's there at the door? Why are you taking such a long time..." When my mother saw our visitor, she couldn't complete her sentence.

"Hello, my name is Dustin Wills, Jerry Wills' son," he said.

When she heard her ex-lover's name my mother's demeanor immediately changed to one of shock.

"Are you sure..." She couldn't continue speaking owing to the shock she was experiencing, so I decided to question Dustin myself.

"So, you're telling me you're Justin Wills' son and my brother, is that correct?" I asked as if questioning a suspect in a crime.

"Yeah, half-brother actually, and I also have an older sister named Maggie," he added.

"Ok, so I have two siblings from Jerry Wills, but what are you doing here?" I enquired.

"Well, about that, I wanted to meet you because I really wanted to see my other sister ever since dad told me about you, and secondly, I was trying to run away from our sister, Maggie," he stated with a sheepish look on his adorable face.

"Ok, so where are you going to stay while you're here in the Philippines?" I asked.

"I'd been staying in Manila hotel for a week already, but I opted to check out early after confirming that I'd finally found this place," he explained.

"If you've already checked out of your hotel, where do you intend to stay now?" I asked with trepidation, I don't like what I'm thinking right now, especially after seeing the luggage he brought.

His smile widened as he looked at me with a pleading expression on his face.

"I want to live here, I want to be with my half-sister," he replied sweetly.

After hearing what I was afraid to hear from him, it felt as if my soul left me.

I was already stressed, and just when I thought things couldn't get much worse, another complication came.

"Just wait here," I said as I dragged my mother back to the kitchen.

"Mom, he came to the Philippines to see me, and he also wanted to stay with us!" I informed her in a frantic tone.

"I know, I heard him; his accent was thick, but I could comprehend some of what he said," she replied.

"All well, and are you ok if he stayed with us, even though he's Jerry's son?" I asked, still skeptical.

To be honest, I expected her to flip out after learning about Dustin's father, but she remained calm.

"Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with it, and you verified that what he was saying was true, correct?" She inquired, and I responded with a nod of my head.

"Are you certain? Aren't you upset with him because he's the son of the jackass who abandoned you?" I continued in my probe, still unconvinced.

"Yes, I'm fine with it; he didn't do anything wrong to me, so why should I blame or be angry with him for something his father did to me?"

"OK, just to be sure, and yes, his proof seems very legit to me, and furthermore, there's nothing worth in this place if he was planning to rob us," I said.

"See? So why don't you call him, and ask if he wanted to have dinner with us," she said.

She didn't wait for my reply and decided to reheat our food, and after ensuring that she was completely fine with Dustin living with us, I returned to the living room, where Dustin was sitting idly on the couch, and as soon as he saw me, he stood up.

"Ok, you can stay, my mom agreed, you can stay for a few days, are we clear?"

"Yes, quite clear, and thank you," he replied enthusiastically.

The only issue is where he would sleep in this house, and as if sensing my predicament, he volunteered to sleep on the couch in the living room instead.

"No, it doesn't seem right, you're our visitor, and moreover, there's one more room in this house, but we needed to clean it first."

The room I was referring to is one that we had converted into our storage room, so we would be doing a lot of lifting later, but before that, I invited him to join us for dinner, which he eagerly accepted.

He was skeptical at first as he glanced at the food on the table, but after finally tasting it, he began eating with vigor this time.

After our dinner, we decided to take a short break before cleaning the storage room that would be Dustin's room for the duration of his stay with us.

I was so sweaty and sticky after we finished cleaning the room, and it was a good thing there was still a clean bed for him to use.

I chose to take a bath first, and when I got out, I looked for Dustin and found him outside our house.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or grimace as our neighbors gazed in awe and admiration at Dustin.

Dustin is undeniably attractive, and with a few more years under his belt, he will undoubtedly become even more so.

"Hi pretty lady," he remarked to the girl who happened to pass by our house, and her entire face became red like a ripe tomato as a result.

"It appears he's a womanizer," I thought to myself, but that changed when I noticed how he stared at the shirtless guy who walked out outside their house.

I'm suspicious because of the weird look Dustin is giving the shirtless guy, but then I remember how he flirted with the girl earlier, so I'm even more confused.

"Hey Dustin," I said calling his attention.

"What's up?" He asked still looking at the same guy.

"Are you gay?"

My question eventually drew his attention to me, and a huge grin came on his face before he spoke.

"No, I'm not gay," he replied, quashing my suspicions, but before I could breathe a sigh of relief, his next words startled me.

"I'm not gay, but I'm bisexual," he said calmly, returning his focus to the shirtless man.

At first, I was worried, especially because, in comparison to other countries, the Philippines is still not as welcoming to his kind, but when I realized that he would only be staying for a few days, my concerns subsided.

After knowing about Dustin's sexual orientation, I began to wonder if my half-sister was a lesbian, but I quickly disregarded that possibility.

It's not like I'm going to meet her as well, and I have no plans to do so, the fact that Dustin was running away from her sister only means that she was probably an ill-tempered woman.

"Why don't you go inside and rest?" I said.

"Ok, but first I'll need a shower," he said, and both of us went into the house.

I went straight to my room, while Dustin went to the bathroom to take a bath.

After fifteen minutes, I remembered I hadn't provided him a cushion or blanket, so I grabbed a couple of pillows and carried them to his room.

I opened the door without knocking, thinking he was still in the bathroom, only to be horrified when I saw him naked; it was a good thing he wasn't facing the door, or else I might have seen his length.

"Good gracious! Cover yourself!" While my eyes were closed, I exclaimed.

"Sorry, I typically sleep naked, and I didn't expect you to come in without knocking," he explained.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were still in the bathroom, and next time, learn how to lock your door, because my mom typically barges in without permission," I explained.

"OK, you can look now, I'm decent," he said, but I hadn't fully opened my eyes yet, so I took a glimpse, and only after confirming his claim did I fully open my eyes.

I finally went back to my room after giving him the blanket and pillows. I tried not to think about everything that had occurred to me so far, and everything that would happen to me in the future, and I can't help being terrified of what the future had in store for me.

"Please, no more," I said silently as I eventually fell asleep.
