Chapter 3
Christopher walked closer to Tatiana step by step amid the cheers of the crowd.
The two of them kissed passionately again, and as the camera zoomed in, I could even hear Tatiana's groans!
I exited the livestream.
I couldn't bear to see such a scene again.
When I got home from work, I saw the number one trending search on Twitter:
"Disclosure of the relationship between Best Actress Tatiana Sand and Christopher Zangwill"
Numerous posts about it almost crashed Twitter.
I dropped my phone, deflated.
I had told Tatiana before.
I had told her to stay away from Christopher.
"What do I mean to you if you do something like this?"
"Harry, stop being unreasonable. All this is just my acting with him for the sake of my career. You have to know that this is my only chance. I didn't expect that you not only don't understand me but also keep bothering me with this!"
Tatiana's dream of becoming a star had already begun to take shape when we were in college.
At that time, she was the campus belle.
She was not only talented in painting but had also attracted so much attention from the students that gossip about her was widespread throughout the campus.
"When I become a star and win the Best Actress award, I will make our relationship public."
I had believed it.
I had also been her secret boyfriend for five years.
Because of her irresponsible promise, I had willingly endured all kinds of hardships with her before she became famous.
For her, I had even given up my ideal future.
I had been through so many difficult situations with her for three years.
Finally, she had risen to fame.
But she had changed as well.
We would only see each other once in a long time.
Each meeting would not last more than half an hour, and there would only be arguments during this half hour.
The sudden notification of a message interrupted my thoughts.
I took a closer look and found it was from Tatiana.
"Don't believe it. It's all for work.
"I'll come to celebrate your birthday with you when I'm done with my work."
Chapter 4
My birthday was the same day as Christopher's.
Therefore, Tatiana hadn't celebrated my birthday with me in the past few years.
"The work exhausted me. I promise I'll keep you company on your birthday next year!"
"It doesn't matter. I can celebrate it myself!"
She had promised me so many next years.
Later, I finally found out.
She didn't have time to stay with me only because she was occupied having fun with others.
She just didn't have time for me.
"Come to my place. It's inconvenient for me to go to your place when I'm working."
"Okay."
Perhaps it was because we hadn't seen each other for too long.
Or I thought it could be the last time we met.
I went to where she was as she told me.
I asked my boss for two days off before I set off.
Chapter 5
I arrived at the hotel where Tatiana stayed.
A crowd of fans blocked the entrance.
"Tatiana Sand!"
"Tatiana! We love you!"
At this moment, both reporters and fans were looking forward to her appearance.
Or rather, their appearance.
"Here they come. Here they come."
Christopher opened the car door for Tatiana in a gentlemanly manner.
When Tatiana got out of the car in a white dress, Christopher covered her lower body with his coat to prevent her from accidentally exposing herself.
People started rushing toward Tatiana and Christopher.
Christopher held Tatiana in his arms lest she be hurt by the feverish crowd.
They were bombarded with camera flashes.
I was sandwiched in the crowd, feeling miserable.
Even so, Tatiana recognized me at first sight.
She dropped her gaze and walked away quickly.
She instantly disappeared from my sight.
The phone in my pocket beeped.
"Wait for me at the back door of the hotel! Be good!"
On the phone, Tatiana still seemed so gentle.
I got so bored that I started to swipe my phone in the hotel lobby.
Sure enough, Tatiana and Christopher showing up together caused a huge storm on Twitter again.
"What a sweet couple Tatiana and Christopher are!"
It topped the trending topics on Twitter again.
Comments were all congratulations to them.
Soon, a celebrity gossip account launched a vote.
"Vote for your favorite couple."
"Come on, let's vote for 'Christiana'."
Their shippers dominated the comments.
"Christiana" was directly voted first out of all the couples.
I put my phone away and walked toward the washroom.
Fans were waiting outside the entrance of the hotel.
They seemed to have endless energy.
A man was maintaining order there.
He shouted at the top of his lungs, "No jostling, please. It's Miss Tatiana Sand's private trip here. Everyone, please go back!"
I knew at a glance that this was Tatiana's agent, Tim Lee.
There was such a hubbub that no one could hear what he was saying at all.
Seeing this, he called the security guards to deal with the crowd.
Then, he walked into the hotel, cursing.
I met his resentful look.
He walked up to me in amazement and looked around before he pushed me into a corner.
"Why are you here?" he asked.
"Tatiana asked me to come."
"Humph, do you think I would believe you? How can you be worthy of her now? Get out of here right now!"
After saying that, he intimidated me into leaving with a dirty look at me.
Tim was Tatiana's cousin.
He used to be an unemployed loafer, but he had gotten to where he was now with his mother's kinship to Tatiana.
He had turned into someone close to a celebrity from a nobody.
It was only natural that he was puffed up with pride now.
I let out a sigh and washed my face in the washroom.
