Chapter 4

In the evening, my roommates and I went to the cafeteria to have dinner.

We sat down and took a few bites.

Then Sarah walked towards me with her friends.

Seeing that something was wrong, my roommates winked at me.

"This doesn't look good."

Sarah came to me and poured the food on my plate onto my head.

What a pity.

It was such a waste of braised pork, my favorite.

There weren't many people in the cafeteria, and my seat was quite secluded with a lot of obstructions, so no one noticed us.

"What are you doing? Sarah, what's wrong with you?"

My roommates stood up for me.

"What am I doing?

"She seduced my boyfriend, OK?

"Are you not tired of being a simp? Let me tell you something. Peter likes me. Have some self-respect and get lost."

Sarah was really different from this morning.

I must look very disheveled right now.

I casually took out a tissue from my pocket and wiped the broth off my face.

I had to send my clothes to the dry cleaner again.

I immediately looked at Sarah coldly.

"What do you want?"

"Don't bother Peter anymore, you simp. You'll make a fool of yourself in the end," Sarah snorted.

She finished speaking and left, and my roommates looked at me at a loss.

"You really feel nothing? After how she treated you?"

"She had your bag and still said such things about you!"

"She's the most shameless person I've ever met!"

I looked at myself in the mirror.

"I feel certain things. After all, I love braised pork, and I hate to see it get wasted.

"Every grain of food is hard-won. It's really a waste."

My roommates looked at me speechlessly.

Chapter 5

After returning to the dormitory, I took a shower and lay on the bed.

My phone kept ringing.

Peter kept sending me voice messages.

I didn't listen. After converting them to text, I understood what he meant.

Sarah complained to him. She deliberately poured water on her head and said it was me who did it to her.

He asked me to apologize to Sarah.

If I didn't apologize, he'd block and delete me.

He asked me to apologize to Sarah in front of everyone on the playground tomorrow night.

I only replied with one word.

[OK.]

I wanted to see what tricks they were playing.

Chapter 6

The next day, I went to the playground as agreed.

It was crowded with people, all of whom were probably called by Sarah.

"Apologize."

Peter walked towards me from the crowd, with Sarah walking beside him.

The moment I saw Peter, I panicked.

Why is there a long scar on his face?

My emotions surged uncontrollably as I walked to him.

"What happened to your face?"

My voice trembled.

The wound is long and thin, and it will definitely leave a scar.

Can't I be left with a bit of hope?

Peter kept talking.

"I got injured in a fight. What's the big deal?

"At most, it will leave a scar. Why make such a fuss about it? Have you forgotten why you're here today? Apologize to Sarah now!"

I couldn't hear any sound. My head was buzzing as I froze in situ.

After a moment, I turned around to leave, and I walked unsteadily.

Peter stopped me.

"You want to leave before apologizing?"

Peter wanted to hold my hand, but he was stopped by someone.
