Chapter 1

I got beaten up by a woman, Lily Jones, during my wedding livestream with a male celebrity, Lucas Johnson.

"You slut, a homewrecker! You got pregnant by someone else and now want Lucas to take responsibility? No way!"

Lucas walked innocently toward the camera.

"Bigamy is illegal, but she threatened me with her life. I had no choice."

He kissed Lily's hand, who hit me with a gentle expression.

"This is my legal wife."

Lucas became a top celebrity by feeding on public sympathy, while I became the hated homewrecker.

"Sure. I'm done pretending.

Top celebrity, huh? Get ready to be taken down by me."

In the luxurious and lively hall, dozens of cameras streamed the event live from all angles.

Wearing a white wedding dress, I walked joyfully toward Lucas in the center of the stage.

Lucas's black custom suit perfectly highlighted his tall, lean figure.

He rarely smiled, but just standing there was enough to draw everyone's attention.

I took the bouquet of roses Lucas handed me as the officiant began the speech.

As I was about to say, "I do," the doors were suddenly pushed open.

Lily stormed in angrily. Before I could react, she pushed me to the ground.

"Ugh! You slut! Homewrecker!"

Wearing a 1 pound heavy wedding dress, Lily straddled me and hit me, making it impossible for me to fight back.

"Lucas is my husband. Are you that desperate for a man? How shameless!"

The guests gasped and whispered among themselves.

The cameras, initially for the livestream, turned their focus on us.

The sudden chaos left me at a loss.

"Lucas is my boyfriend.

How could he be married?"

Lily kept hitting me with all her strength.

My cheeks burned with pain and I cried out, but no one stepped in to stop her.

"Ugh! How dare you destroy my marriage. I'll beat you to death today!"

My head spun from the beating.

"Is she some kind of warrior? How is she this strong?"

Some guests who enjoyed the spectacle even shoved their phones in my face to record.

I felt a bit panicked.

If my parents found out their precious daughter was being bullied like this, they'd definitely take this crazy woman down.

With all my strength, I lifted the bouquet and smashed it on the back of her head.

While she recoiled in pain, I quickly got up, steadying my dizzy head.

"You bitch! How dare you hit me?"

Lily spat and came toward me.

I grabbed the cameraman's tripod. I dismantled it and aimed the metal rod at her.

"Which mental hospital did you escape from? Why are you ruining my wedding?"

I pressed my swollen cheek with my tongue.

Lily stopped in her tracks, allowing me to look at her.

She had an oval face, shoulder-length short hair, and a youthful look. She was probably in her early twenties.

But her shrewish behavior was completely at odds with her appearance.

Seeing the wariness in my eyes, Lily suddenly smiled.

"How dare you speak up. If you're bold enough to marry Lucas, why didn't you check what I look like first?"

I was stunned and turned my gaze to Lucas, who had been standing still since the attack began.

He stared at me without blinking.

I asked uncertainly, "Lucas, do you know her?"

Chapter 2

Lucas's thin lips were tightly pressed together. Lily smiled, affectionately linking arms with Lucas.

"Lucas, make her give up."

She slowly walked toward the nearest camera.

For some reason, I was panicked.

"Turn off the live stream! Turn it off now."

I shouted, ordering everyone to cut the power.

Unfortunately, they all looked at Lucas, not moving.

I was stunned.

They were hired by me, could it be that...

Sure enough, Lucas faced the camera and opened his photo album on his phone.

"Lily and I registered our marriage a month ago."

My heart skipped a beat.

I couldn't believe it and dropped the bouquet in my hand, wanting to walk over and ask for an explanation.

But my legs felt like they were filled with lead, and I could only stare at him.

"I know that bigamy is illegal."

Lucas swiped his phone.

It was the photo from when I found out I was pregnant a month ago and excitedly pushed for marriage.

Lucas directed the camera towards me, with an icy look in his eyes that I had never seen before.

"But Aria threatened me with the child's life, and I had no choice."

He spoke with grievance, clenching his fists tightly.

The guests below gasped in shock. They all turned to look at me in surprise.

My eyes reddened as I shook my head. I was about to tell Lucas he misunderstood.

But his next words shut down any chance I had to explain.

"Even though the child isn't mine, I couldn't bear to let it silently leave this beautiful world before it even arrived."

He spoke with emotional restraint. He looked up at the rapidly increasing viewers in the live stream, as if mocking himself, yet also relieved.

"Thankfully, Lily stopped me from going down the wrong path."

As he spoke, he took Lily's hand and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it.

Everything in front of me became blurry, and my heart seemed to stop beating.

The words "the child isn't mine" echoed in my ears like a curse.

For a moment, I couldn't think or respond.

The murmurs from the guests below grew louder.

There were accusations, curses, mockery, and insults.

I held the bouquet tightly. The thorns of the roses dug into my palm, but the pain in my heart was a thousand times worse.

Lily smiled triumphantly.

Her delicate face was in stark contrast to my swollen face.

I wanted to smile at Lucas. But as soon as I moved my face, it hurt so much.

"Is this what you really think of me?"

Faced with my question, Lucas sneered.

"You know exactly what you did that night at the resort two months ago."

He took a deep breath. He grabbed Lily's hand and walked away without looking back.

"Not saying it directly was me giving you one last shred of dignity."

I was struck dumb, collapsing to the ground in despair.

Two months ago, Lucas and I slept together after getting drunk at the resort.

I was certain that the person who spent the night with me was him.

But when I woke up, Lucas came rushing over from the next room, hastily putting on his clothes.

"Aria... Aria."

He averted his gaze in shock. He looked down with a hint of guilt, stumbling over his words.

"I..."

"It's okay, Lucas."

I endured the pain in my body and walked towards him.

"You're my boyfriend, and you'll be my future husband. Let's just consider it fulfilling marital duties early."

I smiled, trying to ease his unease.

After all, Lucas came from a scholarly family. He's even more traditional than I am.

After three years of dating, we had only held hands and kissed.

Chapter 3

Many times, when I was tempted by his looks and ready to go all the way, Lucas would always push me away. His ears turned red, suppressing his desire.

"Aria, wait. Wait until our wedding night," said Lucas.

I had seen too many impulsive people, but Lucas's steadiness added to his charm.

So that night, when I saw his complex emotions and unusual behavior, I thought he was struggling internally.

But I didn't expect today's situation.

Watching Lucas walk away with determination, I doubted myself for the first time.

But that night, before my memory faded, the person I held was clearly Lucas.

How could this be?

4

Without a doubt, this farce made it to the trending searches.

"C-list actor Lucas forced into marriage."

"Lucas is too kind. Aria is an unworthy mistress."

"Bigamy to save a life. Lucas is a hidden gem in the entertainment industry."

The wedding was live-streamed, and the video of Lily beating me got over a billion views.

"Good job. It's so satisfying. I hate mistresses the most in this life!"

"Doxx her. Who's with me to raid her house and beat her until her parents don't recognize her."

"She even threatened Lucas by jumping off a building. How dare her!"

I felt dazed as I watched Lucas show photos to the camera.

A month ago, I was diagnosed as pregnant during a medical check-up.

When I happily told Lucas, he went from surprised to shocked to disbelief.

In my emotional state, I handed Lucas a casually bought ring and told him to propose.

The man hesitated. He furrowed his brows, wanting to speak but holding back.

For some reason, I suddenly got angry. Standing by the window, my emotions ran high.

"Lucas! If you don't marry us, I'll jump from here!" I shouted.

Lucas panicked and hurriedly pulled me into his arms.

In those few seconds of silence, I was incredibly nervous inside.

Had I just been too aggressive?

Lucas was steady and hated being threatened.

Would he leave me because of this?

As I was torn, a soft "Alright, I'll marry you" drifted into my ears.

The wind on the rooftop was strong, making my eyes water.

Holding Lucas, I felt inexplicably at peace.

But I didn't expect the scene of me jokingly forcing a marriage to be recorded.

Even worse, it was uploaded online by the person I loved, becoming evidence used to cyberbully me.

I stared blankly as my Twitter account got flooded with attacks.

It's all about mistress, bastard, slut. The endless insults overwhelmed me.

They say that a person becomes numb and calm under immense pain.

But as I looked at the marriage certificate of Lucas and Lily, my heart ached sharply.

Unconsciously, I touched my lower abdomen and dialed a number.

"Who is it? Can't you see? Lucas is in a business meeting. If you need something, make an appointment first," said Lily.

Beep beep beep.

Lily's irritable voice came through. In two seconds, the call was disconnected.

I was a bit stunned. But more than that, I felt bitter.

So after all this time, Lucas never even saved my contact information.
