Chapter 1
My roommate, Estelle Lee, found a boyfriend who was an athlete.
She was constantly worried that I, who was in the same club as her boyfriend, would snatch him away from her.
Consequently, she risked everything and spread rumors to tarnish my reputation on a large scale.
With her efforts, everyone at the school knew that I was a slut, a mistress, and a cheap girl that could sleep with any man for the sake of money.
I, who had been inarticulate since my childhood, wondered what to say and how to defend myself.
When Estelle once again exaggerated in front of our classmates about me and several senior men having fun every night, I couldn't help but punch her in the mouth.
Not venting my anger, I continued to punch her several times. It wasn't until her mouth bled and she fell to the ground that I stopped.
Everyone looked at me in shock.
I pointed at Estelle lying on the ground and said, "If you continue to spread rumors about me like her, this will be your fate too."
——
Someone helped Estelle into the dormitory.
She covered her mouth with a tissue. Her hair was messy, and her clothes were dirty.
Seeing her like this, Libby Carter exclaimed, "What happened?"
Estelle couldn't speak as she glanced at me.
I was leaning against the bed frame, browsing my cell phone.
Seeing that Estelle glanced at me, Libby figured out the situation in her heart. She walked towards me angrily.
"Did you hire a man to hit her?"
"You slut. You seduce men every day and ask them to fight for you. Did your parents send you here to sell yourself? How can you be so cheap? If I were your mother, I would be so ashamed..."
Estelle waved her hand to signal Libby to stop talking further.
But it was too late.
I put down my cell phone and slapped Libby twice.
Libby was hit, and her face quickly turned red.
Her eyes were full of disbelief as she said, "You dare to hit me!"
She raised her hand and wanted to fight back.
I had been practicing boxing for four years anyway. I grabbed her wrist easily and locked her arm. Then Libby couldn't move.
Even so, Libby didn't shut up and learn her lesson, cursing, "You bitch. You dare to hit me and Estelle. I will tell the counselor about this. Then you can't graduate."
...
I said, "Okay, it happened that I plan to tell the counselor about how you have been treating me in these four years."
Chapter 2
In freshman year, Estelle had a boyfriend.
Her boyfriend said casually that I was the most beautiful girl in her dormitory. Since then, Estelle had been regarding me as a thorn in her eyes.
She joined forces with Libby and targeted me in every way in the dormitory.
I never engage in direct conflicts with them so that I could get along with them on the surface.
If I could make it to graduation, it would be fine. I often advised myself that.
However, my tolerance didn't earn their friendship.
On the contrary, they found that they could bully me without bearing any consequences, so they were even more brazen.
I often felt suffocated and had difficulties breathing during every second I put up with them.
Having been suppressing my emotions, I gradually suffered in terms of physical health. I got sick more and more often.
I gradually knew that making setbacks and putting up with them didn't bring me any benefits.
...
"Since that's the case, why should I continue to endure them?"
Chapter 3
The three of us confronted each other in front of the counselor.
Libby told the counselor in detail about how I had punched Estelle.
As she spoke, she became emotional and cried, accusing me of disregarding the friendship between roommates and hitting them at the drop of a hat.
"Siena Reid, ask yourself. Haven't Estelle and I been good to you? Why do you treat us like enemies?"
She sobbed with a grievance.
Libby touched her swollen face and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. The two of them looked miserable.
I didn't say much as I showed the evidence.
I brought my cell phone to the front of the counselor.
"Estelle and Libby have been spreading rumors about my personal life matters since freshman year. Here are the screenshots."
The screenshots displayed a message Estelle had posted on the school forum.
[Siena, from the Class 2 Economics and Management Major, 150 dollars per time. WhatsApp Number: XXXX.]
During that time, many disgusting men added me on WhatsApp to inquire about how much I charged. They even asked me to take photos of myself being naked and forward photos to them.
There was another message from Estelle in a group chat for our class.
[Siena is a bitch. She snatches men from other girls. Girls, who have partners, should stay away from her.]
At that time, I defended myself in the group chat, [I am innocent. I am upright and behaving properly. It is shameful for you to spread rumors about me like this!]
Some classmates spoke up for me.
[Estelle, you can't spread rumors about Siena just because your boyfriend thinks she's pretty. You are also a girl. How can you say such things?]
Libby added, [Estelle and I are the closest roommates to Siena. Can you guess why we know so many things about her?]
During that time, many classmates of mine kept their distance from me.
No one even wanted to team up with me for group assignments.
They thought there was something wrong with my character. They were afraid that others would misunderstand their character as well if they were close to me.
The evidence was solid.
...
I said to the counselor, "Miss Hawk, I can't stand such a life of being slandered anymore. I don't have any friends at school. It is all thanks to them."
The counselor glanced through the evidence on my cell phone quickly and asked me, "So, you decided to resort to violence against them, right?"
