Chapter 4
Rosie and Jasper were so scared that they stopped her.
"No, how can you cook with your nail art?"
"That's right, besides, this place is filled with the smell of cooking fumes. If you breath it too much, it's bad for your lungs. You should get out now."
It turned out they knew the pros and cons, but it did not matter since I was the one doing it?
What a joke!
Sophie stepped back as she smiled sweetly and helplessly.
"Then, I'll be counting on you, Renata."
Rosie glared fiercely at me when I was still lying on the floor.
"Hurry up and do the housework! Don't pretend to be dead!"
"You can't compare yourself to Sophie. She has a precious destiny and you are born to work hard. You have to learn to accept your fate!"
They went back to the living room, smiling, as if nothing had happened.
I gritted my teeth and stood up. I felt a little pain in my lower abdomen. Is there something wrong?
I looked at Jasper in the living room. His eyes only focused on Sophie. The two of them looked at each other as if the whole world had disappeared.
Anyway, I did not plan on having this family or this man anymore.
Let's have a farewell dinner today and go our separate ways from now on.
After finally preparing a few dishes, I was ready to wash my hands and eat.
Sophie came over and looked at me with her arms crossed.
"Renata, you're only two months older than me, but there's a big difference in ou fate."
I knew what she wanted to say, but I was too lazy to pay attention to her.
"Arthur likes me and your husband Jasper also likes me. You say you are such a failure in life."
"I think your daughter will inherit your fate sooner or later. She will spend her whole life paving the way for my family."
My face could not help but change. She was even planning to target my daughter.
I glared at her angrily.
"What the hell do you want to do?"
Her eyes turned to Eleanor and she smiled strangely.
"My son was born with poor eyesight. I was planning to find someone to donate corneas to him. I think your daughter is a good candidate."
"Auntie agreed, of course, Jasper also agreed."
I was so angry. They were so vicious. My daughter was only over one year old.
I wanted to go and argue with them, but she blocked me and pushed me hard. I lost my balance and bumped into the corner of the table. My stomach suddenly hurt so much.
Suddenly, she fell to the ground and shouted loudly. "Ouch! Renata, why did you hit me? I just couldn't help cooking, why did you have to hit me?"
Rosie and Jasper rushed over from the living room.
Jasper helped Sophie up and yelled angrily. "Renata, apologize to her!"
"Who allowed you to hit her? Which hand did you use to hit her? Tell me!"
I covered my stomach and crouched on the ground in pain and they could not see it.
Rosie grabbed my hair and slapped me hard twice. I fell to the ground and a warm stream flowed out of my lower body.
"What a useless daughter!"
"I'm going to beat you to death today for daring to bully Sophie!"
Eleanor was so scared that she burst into tears and staggered over to me.
"Mom, blood ...."
Jasper was momentarily stunned when he saw blood on my feet.
Sophie suddenly reached out.
"My hands were torn and bleeding."
Two of her nails broke, causing her fingers to bleed.
Jasper was so scared that he carried her out.
"Hurry up, go to the hospital!"
Rosie was still not satisfied, so she pushed Eleanor hard.
"Cry, cry, cry until you die."
I crawled over and picked up my daughter. I was so heartbroken.
"Mom, I'm your daughter and she's your granddaughter. How could you be so cruel to us?"
Chapter 5
"I have to ask you a question today. Back then, you deliberately asked Arthur for more engagement gifts so that Arthur was forced to cancel our engagement and I was forced to marry Jasper because of that. Don't you have to explain this?"
My mother's face turned pale and she slapped me again.
"What's there to explain? You're my daughter, so you have to listen to me!"
"I'm telling you, if anything happens to Sophie, I won't spare you."
My mother turned around, went to the living room, picked up Alden and hurried to chase Jasper and Sophie.
I had lost more blood, I knew, I had a miscarriage.
Eleanor was terrified, so I had to pick her up and take a taxi to the hospital.
The doctor had just helped me with the miscarriage when Rosie and Jasper came over.
"Are you lying here pretending to be dead? Get up and go apologize to Sophie!"
"Her hand is injured and she can't play the piano these days. You've delayed her, do you know that?"
I just had a curettage surgery and I really could not get up. Eleanor was lying on another hospital bed and had already fallen asleep.
Rosie pulled me up and I fell to the ground.
The nurse rushed over and stopped her as soon as she saw it.
"The patient just had curettage surgery. You can't use so much force."
Jasper was stunned for a moment, then he reacted.
"You, you had a miscarriage? You are so willful. You clearly hurt Sophie and we only said a few words to you, but you secretly aborted the baby!"
"Do you have any conscience? This is our baby! You are so cruel."
Rosie slapped me again and I felt my ears buzzing.
"You are such a worthless person. You deserve to be worthless if you do what you want."
At the same time, her mobile phone rang and "Little Alden" appeared on the screen.
She immediately changed her tone to a gentle one.
"Oh, you want to have ice cream, okay, I'll go buy it right away."
"Where are you now, Alden? I'll buy you fried chicken too, so wait for me."
She gave me a fierce glare, turned around and left.
Jasper quickly followed, but suddenly felt uncomfortable and turned back to look at me.
"Sophie should be taking care of her son, but since her hand is injured, it'll be inconvenient for her, so I have to go and see her."
He felt sorry for Sophie, but he never thought about his wife and daughter who lacked affection and attention. Besides, I had been busy with housework for so long that Eleanor and I had not even taken a bite of food.
It did not matter, I did not expect anything now.
I called my best friend, Kylie Evans.
An hour later, Kylie came with the printed materials.
"Let's go stay at my place."
Tears welled up in my eyes as I nodded.
After a long time of trouble and repeated confirmation with the doctor that everything was fine, they were finally about to leave the hospital and the nurse chased after them from behind.
"Excuse me, your wife, Ms. Renata Schroeder, left something for you."
Jasper opened it and read it carefully.
"Divorce agreement? Letter of severance of parent-child relationship?"
