Chapter 1
IRIS LOU P.O.V.
I can tell you the exact moment my life began to fall apart. The moment when everything came tumbling down and I lost all sense of where I fit in the world. The familiar abruptly changed, leaving me with nowhere to go.
It all started when a pregnant woman showed up and ruined our wedding...
Love turned to hatred, and now I'm out for revenge.
Flashback
Today is the day! I can finally say, "He's mine."
Eliot Hunter Hamilton, the man I've admired for the past five years, is now my boyfriend and, as of today, my husband.
I grinned as I examined my full body in the mirror, which was adorned in a gown I had long longed to wear on our wedding day.
"My daughter-in-law, you are stunning. I'm sure my son will be taken aback when he sees you approaching the altar." I gazed at Aunt Agnes, the mother of the gentleman I'm about to marry. When she said it, she was walking towards me.
"Aunt, of course. Eliot will be surprised to see me in this gown." As I spoke to her, I remarked confidently while smiling.
"You are, indeed, my daughter-in-law! Let's hurry because it appears like your future Husband would be bored, and perhaps he is apprehensive because of our time constraints." Aunt Agnes replied with a smile. I was ready, too, and we left the chamber the artist had set aside for me earlier. We walked up the stairs after exiting the car.
"Are you prepared?" she inquired. I took a deep breath before smiling and glanced at the Church entrance. My aunt held my hand till we arrived at the Church.
I'm already in the middle of the door, slowly opening the door with the music. I walked slowly while Tita was by my side. I just looked at the man standing at the altar, who was happ... Wait, he actually looked... a bit cold, and that surprised me. He was supposed to be happy because it was our day, but I ignored it. He was just nervous probably. I shook the thoughts away and smiled at him.
People surround us, the important people in his Life. I'm just like the rest of them who come from unknown families. Everyone here in the Church is smiling at me. I feel the support and love of the family here. When we get to the altar, I still can't see The joy in his eyes. It's as if he's not happy to marry me. I removed from my mind the negatives I was thinking of and just smiled.
"Son, take care of her. If I find out that you made her cry, you'll taste a flying plate from me." Still worried and joking, Aunt said to him, and the people here in the Church, including me, laughed, but he was still not reacting. Auntie gave my arm to him. So I took it, and we faced the Priest.
"Mr. Eliot Hunter Hamilton, say after me," the Priest said, so he just nodded.
"I, Eliot hunter Hamilton take you, Iris Lou Clifford, to be my spouse. I guarantee to be genuine to you in great times and terrible ailments and well-being. I will adore you and respect you all the days of my life," the Priest said.
"I, Eliot hunter Hamilton take you, Iris Lou Clifford, to be my spouse. I guarantee to be genuine to you in great times and terrible ailments and well-being. I will adore you and respect you all the days of my life," Eliot said while looking at me. I can't explain the feeling that I felt when he says that. On the other hand, I just stared at him and followed what the priest said.
"Iris Lou Clifford takes you Eliot Hunter Hamilton to be my spouse. I guarantee to be genuine to you in great times and terrible ailments and well-being. I will adore you and respect you all the days of my life." I smiled at him.
"You have pronounced your assent sometime recently at the church. May the Ruler in his goodness fortify your consent and fill you both with his favors. That God has joined, man must not be isolated. Amen. You may exchange your vows and ring as a sign of your love for your partner," Promise of the Priest. So next, we will give each other a ring.
In front of us is the container of the ring; he's the first to take a call. Before he looks at me, I see guilt in his eyes but do not know why.
He put the ring on my finger. When he put it on me, I also took a ring and looked straight into his eyes.
"I presently articulate you as a husband and wife," the Priest said. He slowly approached me, and when our mouths were almost close. Suddenly the door of the church opened, and everyone looked there, including me.
When the door of the church was opened, a lady with long hair and a pearl-like color dress appeared, noticing the lump or more correctly telling her that she was carrying a child. She's looking at the altar where Eliot and I are standing while. I saw the pain that could be seen in her two eyes, and she slowly walked closer to us.
If I describe her appearance, I can say that she looks like a barbie doll because of her innocent looks. When she got close to us, she stopped in the middle, not far from us, because it looked like it was only four walks.
"H-Hubby, w-what's the meaning of this," she said softly and stuttered as he looked back and forth with the two of us. I saw her tears dripping while holding one hand in her stomach bulged. I looked at Eliot. I just noticed that expression I didn't see in my entire life with him filled with concern. I just moved away from him a little.
"Eliot, what is happening right now? Do you know this girl?" I asked him sharply and confusedly. But I didn't get an answer; instead, he just approached the conceiving lady.
"B-baby stop crying okay. It's not good with our baby," he worriedly said to the conceiving lady. It was as if a few needles had pierced me, which I witnessed today on our wedding day.
"Eliot, can you explain this to me because I'm confused? It's our wedding day today, but this is what's happening!" I yelled at him.
"CAN YOU JUST SHUT UP!" He shouted at me with all his might. I jumped a little, and gradually my tears dropped down my cheeks. I noticed the people who were already looking confusedly at us.
"Oh my god! We are in the church, don't cuss here, fear God," the Priest panicky said, but I ignored him.
"So you're shouting at me just because of that lady!" I shouted at him.
"Stop it, Iris! Let's talk later; I'll take her home first." I was hurt when he mentioned my name. He never called me by my name.
"Let's go home," he said gently to the lady while he was escorting her, and they slowly walked to leave the church.
"Y-your leaving me here?" I said softly, and I knew he heard that. He stopped, but he also continued to walk.
"I swear when you step out of this church with that lady, you don't have any reason to come back to me again," I said, and pain could be felt in my voice. He stopped as he heard that and looked at me.
"Please, Iris, not now," he said with good eyes.
"When you go with that lady, that just means that you prefer her to me," I said while tears slowly poured down my cheeks.
I become stunned and feel empty because of what just happened. I couldn't hold my legs anymore and just fell on the floor of the Church.
"Oh, My God! Daughter, are you okay?" My aunt approached me, but my mind was blank, and I just cried.
"Hush now, Iris, my son, we'll surely pay for this," Aunt Agnes said and hugged me. I just felt that losing him was like losing my whole existence; crying was just what I did, and I didn't even listen to other various comments. Because of too much outcry, I lost consciousness.
"Oh gosh, Rex, help us, she collapsed!" I even heard my aunt shout at her husband, uncle Rex, but I couldn't hear anything. My vision started to get blurry, and everything went blank.

IRIS LOU P.O.V.
"If your good son doesn't pay for this, I'll drop you both on the mansion's stairs when we come home,"
"I love you. Why would I be involved in Eliot's bad behavior? Don't forget that he's our son, not just my son, okay." I overheard Aunt Agnes and Uncle Rex arguing.
The white ceiling became visible to me as I gradually opened my eyes. I shifted my focus and noticed my aunt and uncle on a sofa when I turned to face the direction where they were.
I sat down and rested my head on the hospital bed's headboard after Auntie shouted, "Oh my God, you're awake!" and hurriedly approached me.
I asked haltingly, "Auntie, where's My honey?"
She smiled at me and said, "Ahm..... ah..eh, don't think about it first, my daughter. Maybe he will come too." The earlier events in the Church seemed to be a catastrophe—my life's most significant day.
Auntie told me to stop crying and wiped the tears from my eyes. I could not stop the tears from falling from my eyes.
"What did the doctor say, aunt?" I inquire of my aunt.
"Maybe the doctor won't say anything for a while." I exhaled a sigh of relief, thinking, That I was carrying their grandson was something I didn't want them to know. This was meant to be my wedding-related surprise for him, but it appears that I was the one who was surprised.
"I can take care of myself, Auntie, so go home. I'll wait for Eliot to come to me." I softly said.
"Are you sure?" She asked. I smiled and nodded at her as well as at uncle Rex, who was sitting on the sofa with a scowl on his face and appeared to be lamenting his son's sin.
"Iris, if you need anything, just give me a call! You too, Rex! Go home with me. Your son is to blame. "Auntie said while pulling Uncle Rex's ears out. I couldn't help but smile at their immaturity.
I realized that returning to my former life was definitely a good idea at this point. I'm not a coward. I took out the dextrose from my hand and experienced no pain. I'm used to it now. I got up and took off the hospital gown when I noticed a paper bag on the couch. When I looked inside, I found a shirt, some pants, and some shoes, so I put them on. I took my phone from the bedside table and placed a call to the personnel I trusted once I was certain that everything was in order.
"Dexter, Ready. The private aircraft where heading back to Greece. Wait for me at the airport. I'll be there in a minute." I abruptly cut off the call without waiting for him to start speaking and shouted. I went outside and had a look around. Everyone appeared to be busy and seemed to be unaware of me. I left and proceeded to walk normally. I awaited a taxi after leaving the hospital. As soon as I saw a taxi stop in front of me, I wasted no time boarding it. I didn't pay attention when Eliot's car passed us as the taxi rolled out. Although it appeared that he would visit me in the hospital, it is now too late for him to do so.
He betrayed me and chose that other woman over me, which I can't tolerate. The lies he says are not something I want to hear. He can never come back to me again after leaving the Church, as I pledged before in the Church itself. Even in the face of god and his parents, in addition to a large crowd, he managed to yell at me even if the family I envisioned was not entirely full.
I am able to be both the father and the mother of the child I am carrying. The taxi came to a stop outside the airport. I thus paid before relocating and approached Dexter, who appeared to be waiting for me.
"What transpired to cause your unexpected return to Greece? Are you willing to return home and endure your father's wrath?" Dexter said as we made our way to the private airplane that I had requested him to have to wait for me.
"Keep in mind that you cannot avoid the duty you previously dodged when you return to Greece." He added.
"I just escaped before since I really didn't want to tell dad about the cycle of my World, but I'm always prepared for anything, Dexter. You know, when I was in my father's place, he always set the rules, so I couldn't do what I wanted," I remarked icily.
"I am aware of that, but I am certain that when he learns that you are married and expecting a child, he will be upset."
"I didn't get married since I didn't sign a marriage contract, and in regards to my pregnancy, he is powerless because, by the time my father learns that I am pregnant and does something I don't like, I have no choice but to kill him. I became his child because he is a demon, and now I bear his blood." I told him. I stepped inside the private plane once we boarded it, sat down, and then I closed my eyes while lying back in the chair. I felt Dexter sitting across from me.
"Rest for a while; I'll just wake you up when we get to Greece; I know you're exhausted; don't stress any longer," I heard Rex say, but I didn't open my eyes. Instead, I took a big breath, answered all the questions in my head, and then dragged for the darkness.
FAST FORWARD
I was abruptly tapped, and only Dexter was there when I opened my eyes.
"Where already here? Prepare for meeting your evil father." He remarked with a smirk. I stood up and went to the open door of the aircraft. As I exited, I noticed a car lurking below, and it appeared to be the one that would take me to the palace. The royal guards hailed me as I walked towards them.
"Welcome Back, Royal Princess Iris," They both said at the same time as I entered the car, which was open. I then gave the driver the go-ahead by signaling for the car to begin moving, and I was aware that the two cars that followed were packed with bodyguards.
Dexter, on the other hand, left because he was unable to accompany me to the palace. I noticed the servants at the palace waiting at the door when we got there, appearing to be getting ready for my return. When I descended, I made my way to the enormous palace entryway.
The royal guard yelled as I entered, "Princess Iris, the royal princess of Greece, has returned."
They all said hello to me, but since this was as it ought to be, they didn't hear a single hello back from me. I'm not allowed to be kind since some people are Greece's enemies.
I simply feel cold as I move around the enormous palace. Unexpectedly, a servant came over to me.
"Royal Princess, King Henry is waiting for you at his office." She informed me. I simply nodded and began to follow her up the very steep stairs covered in crimson carpet till I was directly in front of my father's office door.
Chapter 3
IRIS LOU P.O.V.
Without knocking, I opened the door right away, and as I had anticipated, another dagger flew in my direction. I easily caught it and gave it back to him, but he managed to catch it.
He said in Greek, "It's great that you thought about coming back," and he sat down. He then looked at me coldly, and I did the same before I walked over to him and sat down in front of his table.
"Since you've already come back, do you accept the responsibility here that you abandoned before?" He declared.
Yes, I am, I retorted icily when I saw him smile. I will be the one to represent his constituency because this is what he has long desired.
My brother, who abruptly fled and is now missing, must be in this situation. When my brother decides he doesn't want to, no one can make him change the way his world works. More demonic than I am is he. Since my brother is a psychopath, I am unaware of every mental pattern he exhibits.
"Okay, be ready tomorrow because you're marrying Cleopard Devinson, and they'll be here tomorrow, and you can't just decline." He abruptly stated, causing me to turn to face him,
"I can't..." I responded, shaking my voice because I knew that if he found out I was pregnant, he would become furious, and his evil side would once more show itself.
"And why shouldn't you? Did you do stupid things again, just like you used to run away from your obligations before?" He made a strong point to me,
I spoke weakly and hunched over, but I knew he heard me say, "I'm pregnant."
"WHAT!!! Lou, say it once more!" He shouted loudly, echoing his voice. He got up and slapped his two palms on his desk as his voice reverberated throughout his office. I also leaped from where I was sitting.
I met his two eyes, which revealed disbelief and an indescribable expression as I turned to face him.
I told him directly, "I'm pregnant," and he reluctantly returned and sat in her swivel chair. I simply crossed my two feet while glancing at them. I can't look at him. We both paused, and I could tell he was still thinking about the revelation I had just made.
"I can't accept that the princess that I chose to ensure and my as it were treasure is presently getting to be a mother." He gently said, I looked at him, but he turned his swivel chair and looked at our family picture hanging on the wall, now I couldn't see him, and he just turned his back on me.
"D-dad ..." I said softly, but I didn't get an answer from him.
"I utilized to be fiendish in front of you since that's the thing I can do to secure you and let you despise me since I need you to be courageous and see you ended up courageous, but you know what harms? You've gotten to be fiendish than me." He said to me as he turned his swivel chair away from me.
"You don't know how stressed I am once you run absent from here. Even your brother vanished a bit like a bubble at that point. I ended up alone battling for those individuals who need to require me down in my position of authority." My tears flowed when I heard that right in his mouth. I just listened to what he was saying.
"I deliver you an opportunity and your brother; subsequently, you'll at least appreciate every single time in this world. On the off chance that you think I'm controlling your life and your brother, at that point, you are off-base. I'm fair giving my best to secure the two of you. I do not need to change your life fair how your mother got slaughtered by my adversary."
"I held up here for a year, and at final, you come back. And presently, I'm fair holding up for your brother's comeback, and we are able at last be completed." He lastly said before facing me, and I saw the redness of his eyes was a sign that he cried so even more the tears in my two eyes were even more painful; it turned out to be more than I felt at the wedding of the person I loved for five years and just cheated on me.
"D-dad, I'm S-sor-ry for being persistent and didn't indeed feel that your hurting as well. I'm too bad in case I cleared out you alone here battling for our foe" I burst into tears while my lips trembling as I say that.
"You don't have to be sorry my princess, it's my fault that I let you despise me for your whole existence, it's my fault. It's all my fault. I just haven't been strict with you and your brother. I hope this doesn't happen." He gently told me.
"I need to know who's the father of that child that you were carrying in your womb hence I can cancel the organized marriage that Mr. Devinson and I planned with his son leopard." He said. I cried even more because I wished I could personally introduce Eliot to my father, but it was impossible. I was sobbing loudly in tears. That's why he approached me worriedly and touched my back.
"Stop crying, princess. It's not good with you if you're always stressed," He said and hugged me. I hugged him, too, and rubbed my face on his stomach because he was standing while I was sitting.
"Tell me everything, princess. I'm listening," He said and made me stand up and mimicked his black sofa here in his office. When we sat down, he himself wiped the tears from my cheeks.
"D-dad he c-cheated on me," I said weakly and kept from choking because of what I was thinking now.
"Tell me what his name is, and I'll hunt him," He insisted to me.
"Father, it's already done, he chose another lady who's carrying his child, and around the child that I'm carrying in my womb, he has no idea about this, and he additionally has no idea that I came from the EPHRAIM family I used a fake moment title so you can't track where I've been for the previous five years" When I explained he took a deep breath.
"Then I won't send you to the Philippines again, and I will not force you to marry Cleopard. But you know him. He is ready to accept you because since he was a child, he has wanted you, Cleopard is a nice man and I know he won't hurt you. The decision is still early and it's still up to you, they will come here tomorrow" He said.
"I'll think about it, dad," I said just because my brain was a mess.
"Then go to your room and rest," He said. I nodded to him and kissed him on the cheek before leaving his office so that I could now properly breathe.
While walking down the longest hallway, I observed the artworks that were hanging there. I was too busy admiring the hanging artwork to notice that I had already arrived at my room. I open my room's door.
When I entered, nothing had changed. It was still really tidy. I hurried to my bed and gave my pillow a quick embrace. I miss being here. It appears like I shall begin a new life here and forget everything that happened to me in the Philippines.
