Chapter 1
On my first visit, I bumped into a pregnant mistress.
After I visited my future in-laws with my pregnancy test results, the mistress hired people to smash my coffee shop.
The future mother-in-law pulled the mistress aside and said that whoever gave birth to a son would marry her son.
Later, I became very successful in my industry, had a fulfilling life and I was blessed with a son and a daughter.
Meanwhile, the mistress's child made their family want to escape from the earth.

When the report came out, it was written clearly [dichorionic and diamniotic, early intrauterine pregnancy.]
My boyfriend, Christopher Hunt, immediately pulled me into the car and took me to his house.
"Vivi, have you thought where to hold the wedding?" He asked me as he held my hand, warm and sticky.
Christopher knocked on the door while holding the high-end cosmetics I had bought in his hand.
We both stood at the door waiting for someone to open it. But, as soon as the door opened ....
"Chris, you're back?" The person who opened the door was a fair-faced girl, who looked at Christopher with a hint of shyness in her eyes.
"Why are you here?" He blurted out.
"Chris ...." Before the girl could even respond, he pulled me straight into the house.
The girl closed the door and suddenly took the thing from his hand with a look of surprise on her face. "This thing is very expensive, it's not easy for you to make money, so don't buy it next time."
Christopher's father, Reynold Hunt, who was standing beside me, gave me a faint glance and spoke up, "Brielle is right. Some people like to use other people's money as they please. They squander it before they even get married."
"Dear, please sit down and have some tea. You must be tired from carrying things." Christopher's mother, Paula Hunt, kicked the thing into the corner without considering my feelings at all.
I had always known that my boyfriend's parents disliked me and looked down on me for having no family background.
However, I still felt a little uneasy as it was the first time I visited my boyfriend's house in such a proper manner.
Christopher and I were college classmates. We had been supported all the way to the present. I worked in a listed company, while Christopher worked as a department manager in a state-owned enterprise.
With some spare cash, I opened a small coffee shop with low turnover and the profits were very stable.
"Vivi, I really don't know how she got here." Christopher held my hand with a nervous face as he tried to explain to me.
I smiled and shook my head, but the girl handed him a cup of brewed goji berry tea and said, "Chris, Uncle and Aunt said you are very busy with your work and asked you to take good care of your body. So, I bought this goji berry tea for you. Please, try it."
He frowned and said, "No need, I'm in good health."
"Brielle bought it especially for you, just take them. Don't be ungrateful, Chris," Reynold said and Christopher took the cup with a gloomy face.
I had heard the girl's name, Brielle Smith. Christopher told me that the Hunt Family and the Smith Family were friends who had had a good and close relationship for a long time. So, Christopher and Brielle had known each other since they were childhood.
Brielle had feelings for him, unfortunately he never paid any attention to her.
With the close relationship between the two families, I understood in my heart that in the eyes of Reynold and Paula, Brielle was the best daughter-in-law candidate for their family.
One day, on New Year's Eve, Christopher posted a photo on his social media where he was spending time with his family. Brielle was also there and they were laughing together.
Seeing that, Christopher and I had the most serious breakup ever and we even smashed all the figurines in our rented apartment.
Later, he knelt down in front of me and said that the photo was posted by his mother using his mobile phone and begged me to believe him, saying that he was completely unaware of it.
Thinking of this, my eyes could not help but fall on the TV cabinet in their house, with the photo frame on top displaying the group photo.
Soon, the dishes were served on the table.
I wanted to help serve the dishes, but Christopher sat down and put his hand on my shoulder.
Brielle brought a plate of fresh salmon sashimi, then placed it in front of me and said, "It seems like you are in a bad mood, so I brought you some salmon. Eat it, who knows, your mood might get better."
"Chris, your mom and I have something to tell you," said the girl.
I noticed the blush on her face.
Christopher held my hand under the dining table and said, "I also have something to tell you. Vivi, she ...."
But before he could finish his words, his mother said, "Brielle is pregnant."
He paused for a moment and asked, "What does her pregnancy have to do with me?"
Reynold's face darkened. "You bastard, you don't know what you did yourself? You want us to clean up your mess!"
Chapter 2
"Yeah, why didn't you tell us about such a big thing between you and Brielle?" Paula added.
"Impossible, I know it very well whether I did it or not that night, it's impossible!" Christopher suddenly stood up to refute and he also suddenly let go of my hand.
"Chris, you were drunk that night. You kept tugging me and not letting me go ...." Brielle said as tears fell down.
"Impossible! I'm very clear headed!" After he finished speaking, he suddenly froze.
In this family’s drama, I seemed like an insignificant audience member.
Christopher looked at me in a panic and said, "Vivi, listen to me, Vivi ...."
I suddenly got up, feeling dizzy, then rushed to the bathroom and vomited quite badly.
When I held onto the wall and opened the door, Christopher looked worried and asked, "Vivi, are you okay?"
Brielle stood not far away, staring at me with a trace of resentment in her eyes.
"Vivi, let me explain it. That day, I really ...." He grabbed my arm, eager to distance himself from that girl.
I stared at him coldly. From the moment I walked into his house, his parents, Reynold and Paula treated me like nothing and belittled the things I bought. But they were so gentle and caring towards Brielle.
"Vivi, it's not really what you think between us."
"That was just an accident. I remember exactly what happened. Vivi, you know my character the most. I can't lie to you. You can hit or scold me."
In the blink of an eye, there was a crisp sound and there was a clear slap mark on Christopher's face, but it was not me who slapped him.
"Is that how I taught you? Being so submissive to a woman outside?"
"Uncle, please don't do that." Brielle took Reynold's arm with an anxious look on her face. "Chris is just a bit worried."
Reynold pointed at his son, trembling slightly. "I'm telling you, even if an honorable president comes here today, this girl can't enter our house. You've grown up together with Brielle since childhood and you ruined her like this. You have to take responsibility!"
When I watched this scene, a chill rose in my heart.
My stomach suddenly started churning again and I slammed the bathroom door.
When I came out again, Christopher handed me a cup of warm water with teary eyes and asked, "Do you feel better after throwing up?"
Paula, on the other hand, had a mean face and said, "With this body of yours, even if you enter our family, you're still a useless thing. I advise you to be sensible and leave quickly."
"Enough, Mom!" Christopher roared. "Vivi is pregnant too!"
“What?!” Paula was shocked, then she directed her eyes towards my stomach and said, “You’re pregnant? You must be pretending so that my son will marry you, right? I'm telling you, Vivian Muller, our family won't be fooled."
Christopher took out a freshly printed examination report from his bag.
"We just had a check up this morning and rushed back. I'll be straight to the point. I rushed back to tell you that I'm going to marry Vivi and I'm going to register my marriage after this."
With a loud bang, a cup fell in front of him.
It was from Brielle's hand.
"Chris, if you're going to marry her, then what about me? I ... this is my first time!" Brielle said with tears streaming down her face.
Paula grabbed her hand and comforted her. "Don't worry, Brielle. Today I am without her, she is without me. I will definitely give you a decent explanation."
If I had known what she was going to say at that time, I would have poured a bottle of boiling water over her from head to toe.
Chapter 3
After that, Paula glanced at me and said, "You, sit down and let's talk."
Christopher and I had been together for ten years. This was the first sentence that his mother said to me in a normal tone.
In front of the coffee table, Brielle and I sat side by side.
Paula only scrutinized my face and spoke in a condescending tone, "I'm not a person who doesn't know what's good or bad. How about this? You and Brielle both give birth to the child. Whoever has a boy, she will marry my son and become part of the Hunt Family."
Seeing that I did not say anything, she added. "We don't want girls. They will be spilled like water in the future."
I sneered, then got up, picked up my bag and left.
Christopher chased after me and desperately begged me not to leave. Meanwhile, Brielle's cries were getting louder and louder from inside the house.
Reynold cursed loudly at the door. "Let her go. We don't want a girl like her to be a daughter-in-law in this family. She's a dirty and shameless girl."
"Let me go," I said in a deep voice, staring at Christopher, "If you don't let me go, I'm going to jump from here." I pointed to the open window in the corridor.
The man hesitated and let go of his hand.
After entering the elevator, I leaned on the handrail almost powerlessly.
In fact, all of this was not untraceable. Christopher and I rented an apartment and I paid half of the rent. I also paid half of the down payment for our car, but the car was registered in Christopher's name.
According to him, what was his would also be mine in the future.
But according to my friend, I was just a sucker who only knew how to pay blindly using a mobile ATM machine.
What was more, in these years, Christopher's parents had not even given a proper greeting.
I had vaguely heard from his friends that Christopher's year-end bonus was over forty-two thousand dollars, but when facing me, he always looked generous and poor.
This relationship really blinded me.
After getting out of the elevator, he had already run down the stairs to wait for me and block my way.
I reached out my hand and said, "Car keys."
Christopher was stunned for a moment, then said shyly, "I still need the car this afternoon. Where are you going? I'll take you there."
"Cih ...." I sneered and walked past him. Then, I hailed a taxi from the roadside.
Christopher ran after the taxi for a long distance. This scene now looked so ridiculous.
We once had fantasies, imagining our beautiful future life.
In the taxi, I could not stop crying.
After a few days of sadness and confusion, I took a leave from the company for a short vacation and found a hotel to stay in.
When I woke up in the morning, my stomach suddenly throbbed with pain.
It felt like something was pulling my intestines and uterus down and the pain was so severe that I broke out in a cold sweat.
My intuition told me that the baby was going to leave me.
I leaned against the wall, trudged to the telephone and dialed the front desk's number. "Hello, please help me call an ambulance. I ... I can't ...."
In the ambulance, my eyes were blank and there was quite lot of blood beneath my body.
The nurse patted my arm desperately and said, "Don't sleep, don't sleep, stay awake, don't sleep!"
At the same time, I heard an incoming message notification on my mobile phone one after another. It was all from Christopher.
[Vivi, where are you? Let me explain to you. It's not really what you think.]
[You have to consider the baby's situation.]
[Vivi, do you change the password of our apartment? I've tried it many times but it still doesn't work.]
[Vivi, don't let anyone come to take the car. I have already paid off the installments for this month ....]
[I love you to the moon and back.]
