Chapter 2
[Oh my, this mistress is in that line of work.]
[She's so pretty, so...]
The barrage of comments was filled with obscenities.
I stood there in shock.
I couldn't accept that Marc had betrayed me.
"Everyone, look, I'm pregnant, yet she seduced my husband. She's a homewrecker!"
Delia pointed to her swollen belly.
Beside her, those middle-aged women glared at me with hostility.
"Delia, don't worry, I will handle this for you. You're carrying Marc's child, and this shameless slut seduces him," one of the women said fiercely.
Then, they came at me, pinching and scratching.
Soon, I had several wounds on my body.
"Smash everything! Why does this woman get to live in such a nice house? It's all bought with my husband's money!"
Delia pointed at the house and shouted, "Take away everything valuable, and smash what can't be taken.
"It's all my husband's money, and I won't leave this slut with anything."
Her voice was loud, and the comments online were all comforting her.
I remained cold-faced, watching their actions. Anger was rolling in my chest.
"Please leave, or I'll call the police!" I shouted.
I didn't want to argue with these people. Marc's betrayal had disgusted me to the core.
"Call the police? You slut, how dare you be so arrogant!"
The middle-aged women were furious and pushed me down onto the sofa. Meanwhile, Delia led her people upstairs.
"Everyone, my husband works so hard to earn money. This slut has no shame, profiting from him. Look at all the valuable things in this villa. I'm taking them all today. What I can't take, I'll smash!"
She commanded the middle-aged women, who began to ransack my rooms.
Soon, from my room, she pulled out a large pile of jewelry.
"I advise you to calm down. These things are very expensive! You can't afford to compensate for them!" I said coldly, watching Delia take out a box of jewelry.
That box of jewelry was just bought by me overseas, worth fifty million dollars. It was prepared for a banquet in a few days.
"Ridiculous! Weren't they bought with my husband's money? Yet you say I couldn't afford them?" Delia sneered.
She suddenly raised the box in her hand, smashing it hard on the ground.
The box shattered instantly. The jewelry was broken and scattered everywhere.
"Today, I will smash these things. What can you do? It's all my husband's money!" Delia shouted.
Her words made me laugh.
Marc married into my family. How much money could he possibly have?
Since joining the company, he had messed up several deals and caused the company a lot of losses.
Because of this, I could only let him hold the position of director, which was just a figurehead role without any real power.
These people, since entering my home, had been stealing valuable items.
Several middle-aged women even found some gold in my room and stuffed them into their pockets.
"Yes, take them all. They belong to Marc!" said Delia's mother.
Those women became even more enthusiastic about what they were taking, while Delia and her mother provocatively stared at me.
Chapter 3
By now, these people had become exceptionally audacious, rummaging through my house.
My home was in shambles.
Delia's phone was practically in my face.
"Guys, remember this woman, this is the fate of the mistress!"
Her voice was unnaturally loud, and the barrage was filled with vulgar language.
I closed my eyes tightly, no longer willing to argue with these people.
From childhood to adulthood, this was the first time I had encountered such a thing.
What made it most difficult for me to accept was Marc's betrayal.
"You slut, still pretending to be innocent?"
Seeing me with my eyes shut tight, Delia suddenly got angry and slapped me hard across the face, swelling it up.
"You say you're Marc's wife. Do you have a marriage certificate?" I asked defiantly.
A hint of panic flashed in Delia's eyes, but she quickly regained her composure and said, "Of course, we do."
"You slut, you still wouldn't repent!"
Delia's mother rushed forward, attempting to tear at my clothes.
Just then, the front door of my house was suddenly pushed open, and a group of people hurried in.
"Ms. Park, the security of our community spotted a group entering your house and came immediately!"
The security manager quickly approached me.
Their arrival eased my tension.
I lived in an upscale community with good security. Early in the morning, such a group rushing into my house naturally raised alarms. But they were a step late upon arrival.
Looking at the vandalized villa, the security manager asked me, "Ms. Park, do you need us to call the police for you?"
"Yes!" I nodded.
Now that the security guards had arrived, I managed to break free from the middle-aged women surrounding me. I looked at the security manager and said, "Please call the police for me. These people broke into my home, robbed me, and destroyed jewelry worth tens of millions!"
Upon hearing my words, the surrounding security guards looked warily at the group of middle-aged women.
If the value amounted to tens of millions, it would be a major case.
Moreover, it happened in our community. Poorly handled, it would cause a lot of trouble for the property management.
"Understood!"
The property security nodded and quickly made the call.
Marc finally arrived, albeit belatedly.
"Honey, this slut wants to sue us!"
Delia was being restrained by a group of security guards. When she saw Marc, her face lit up with surprise.
Her voice was loud as she shouted at Marc.
But Marc's face turned pale.
He hurried to Delia and slapped her across the face.
This slap left Delia stunned.
Then he walked up to me, anxiously asking, "Honey, are you alright?"
He nervously looked at me.
I looked back coldly.
Feeling my gaze, Marc panicked.
We had been married for years, and he could tell how angry I was.
He dropped to his knees and explained, "Honey, I was wrong. It was this woman who seduced me.
"I swear, it won't happen again!"
His words stunned both Delia and the middle-aged women behind her.
The barrage on the phone screens went into a frenzy.
