Chapter 3

Hearing Henry's voice, Kyle instantly became wary.

"Who are you? Where's Rachel? What have you done to her?"

Henry let out a mocking laugh as if he had heard the most ridiculous joke.

"You're just a stand-in she uses to forget about me, and you don't know who I am? Last year, Rachel and I were about to get married. Do I really need to tell you who I am?"

I couldn't hold back and shouted, "Let go..."

Before I could finish, a bodyguard clamped his hand over my mouth, leaving only a muffled sound.

Henry quickly brought the phone closer to my mouth, then spoke with a sly grin, "Did you hear that? We're all men here. Do I need to spell it out for you?"

My eyes filled with rage, and I bit down hard on the bodyguard's hand.

He yelped in pain, then kicked the back of my knee, sending a sharp, almost bone-cracking pain through me.

My knee hit the floor hard, and I found myself kneeling in front of Henry.

Henry is still on the phone. He grabbed my hair with one hand, forcing my head down onto his thigh, savoring my twisted expression of pain. His eyes gleamed with a growing satisfaction.

He mouthed a warning to me. "This is your last chance. Tell me where Daisy is."

I glared at him with defiance, refusing to make a sound.

Henry's patience snapped, and he continued, "Do you even know who your fiancée really is?

"Out of the kindness of my heart, I'll tell you. Since our breakup, under the guise of healing, she's scammed my wife out of fifty million dollars and slept with over a hundred men! I've got hundreds of hotel bookings to prove it! If you need proof, I can send it to you."

On the other end of the line, silence fell.

My heart pounded so hard it felt like it would burst out of my chest, tears welling up in my eyes.

I prayed that Kyle wouldn't be swayed by his lies.

Henry heard no response. His brow furrowed in annoyance.

He continued, "You don't believe me? Fine. I'll send you an address, and you can see for yourself. Tomorrow is my wedding day, and she couldn't even wait to contact me, saying she wanted to spend one last night together. As a fellow man, I'm just giving you a heads-up. Don't be ungrateful!"

With that, he hung up the phone.

He quickly searched for a nearby bar's location and sent it to Kyle, a calculating gleam in his eyes.

The bodyguard finally released me, and I collapsed onto the ground.

My voice trembling with fury, I said, "This is slander! You know that defamation can land you in jail! Henry, are you insane? We've already broken up. Why can't you just leave me alone?"

"Daisy destroyed my relationship and everything I had.

Why should I bear the consequences of her actions?" I thought.

Henry looked down at my pale, troubled face, his smile dark and menacing.

"Let you go? Tell me where Daisy is, and I might consider it!"

He turned to the bodyguards and ordered, "Take her away!"

The group of bodyguards quickly closed in on me, and I struggled with every ounce of strength I had left.

But it was no use. I was outnumbered and overpowered. They bound my hands and feet with my underwear.

They yanked me up by my hair and dragged me all the way to the bar's entrance.

By the time we arrived, my scalp was bleeding.

My heart was filled with seething hatred. My eyes burned with fury.

Chapter 4

Pedestrians on the street stopped in their tracks, pointing at the underwear binding my hands and feet.

At first, they thought I had been caught cheating by my husband, but as they listened closer, they realized I was accused of encouraging someone else's wife to cheat before her wedding.

In an instant, their scorn drowned me.

My attempts to defend myself were weak and futile.

"Teaching someone to cheat is a thousand times worse than cheating yourself! People like this should be run over and left for dead!"

"Spending your friend's money while ruining her relationship? Why don't traffickers kidnap scum like her? She should be sold to some remote village and made to have a dozen kids with a cripple, never seeing the light of day again!"

"If I were her parents, I'd kill myself out of shame! How can such trash exist? She's a stain on society, a leech on our time!"

The insults from the crowd grew louder and more vicious while Henry stood there, his grin growing more smug and maniacal.

A live-streaming influencer on a break from the nearby bar noticed the scene and rushed over, eyes gleaming with excitement.

Overwhelmed by the potential for views, they started recording me on their phone without a second thought.

Seeing this, Henry sneered, "Hold on, the real show is just about to begin!"

He ordered the bodyguards to drag me into the bar. By this point, I was too weak to resist, and my body was limp like a rag doll.

All I could do was hope that a passerby might take pity on me and call the police.

But deep down, I knew that hope was faint.

Henry pulled out his black card and swiped it for 100 thousand dollars.

"Bring me all your ugliest male models!"

He turned to me with a chilling smile. "You like to have fun, don't you? Tonight, you'll have all the fun you want. Consider it my gift to you!"

He ordered the bodyguards to pry my mouth open and poured vodka down my throat.

I choked, my face flushing as a rash spread across my skin.

The burn in my throat was suffocating.

At that moment, a group of men was led into the private room. Henry casually picked out a middle-aged man in his forties and made him sit on the sofa.

Then, the bodyguards dragged me over and forced me to kneel in front of him.

My wrists were tied, and my hands were placed around the man's neck.

Realizing Henry's intent, I saw the camera in the distance and began thrashing desperately, trying to break free.

The booming DJ music drowned out my cries for help.

Henry was enraged. He grabbed the empty bottle and smashed it against the back of my head.

My vision went black, and the sharp pain momentarily cleared my mind.

I immediately raised my hands, trying to pull away from the man.

But Henry, eyes bloodshot, took the broken bottle and stabbed me in the elbow.

The loud music swallowed my scream.

He moved to the other side and repeated the action.

The searing pain made my whole body stiffen and numb, my lips trembling but unable to make a sound.

My arms were now completely powerless.

Henry casually took a jacket from a nearby bodyguard and draped it over me, covering the marks on my wrists.

Under the dim light, it looked as if I had gotten drunk and was willingly seeking out pleasure.

The scene appeared on the livestream, and the views skyrocketed.

Screenshots of my face spread across the internet.

Henry stood in front of the camera, watching as the online comments turned vicious.

His expression grew colder.

My mental defenses crumbled, and just as I was about to beg him to stop, the private room door was suddenly kicked open from the outside.

A group of eager onlookers peered in, their faces lit with excitement.

Kyle walked in, his face icy as he approached me.

I struggled to turn my head, tears streaming down my face.

He was finally here.

But before I could utter a word, he picked up a glass from the table and threw its contents into my face.

The icy liquid extinguished the heat of my alcohol allergy, freezing my heart along with it.

Kyle's voice was filled with rage. "Rachel, you've let me down!"

I shook my head desperately. "Kyle, listen to me, it's not what it looks like! Believe me, I can explain. By tonight, everything will be clear! I was set up!"

But he didn't listen. Instead, he pulled out his phone and showed me a conversation from our work group chat.

It clearly stated that I was fired for personal misconduct.

It even detailed how I had used unethical means to get hired and that the truth had been uncovered, leading to my dismissal.

Kyle gritted his teeth, his eyes bloodshot.

He pointed at the man beneath me with one hand and opened the livestream with the other.

"What else is there to say? You make me sick!

"You said you wanted to move abroad to escape the dirty things you've done? Were you planning to hide this from me forever if I hadn't found out?

"I'm not going abroad with you anymore. We're done!"

As his words fell, Henry clapped his hands and slowly walked over to me.

"Rachel, this is your last chance. Will you talk now?"

I stared at him, the anger burning away what little sanity I had left.

But I was too weak to lash out or even scream at him.

Just as I was about to shout, Henry's phone rang.

He glanced at the caller ID, his eyes widening as he quickly answered.

On the other end, Daisy's voice was frantic and helpless. "Darling! Help me! I can't move! Rachel brought me here and kept making me drink. I couldn't stop her."
