Chapter 5

If my father thought I was going to give up on getting married, it’s because he doesn’t know the daughter he has.

— Congratulations on the grades. – says my father, analyzing my report card. — Now all that’s left is college…

— Here it is. - I say, delivering my letter of approval at the University of Barcelona for the Law course. He opens , showing all the satisfaction in reading my letter. — Now you can give the blessing for my marriage.

— Yes, Dalia. - says my father taking off his reading glasses.

I wanted to jump for joy, but I notice that my parents have a disappointed expression, which makes me confused, since I did exactly what he wanted. My father looks at me and says:

—Dalia knows in these months that have passed I always thought I would give up this madness and change my mind.

— Then you know me, little Dad.–I say, leaning against the table. —I will never give up on Carlos…

***

After my father gave the blessing, I had to run with the preparations for my engagement. After all, we had decided to get engaged a month before college classes started and get married two months later. Putting it in more precise numbers, I had three months for the engagement and two for the wedding.

The first thing I decided to streamline was our home. Carlos was totally against us looking for another house, since he considered his ideal for us. It is logical that I went against his plans and imposed myself. After all it was not even his, but rented. Besides being tiny, and I wouldn’t even give it to my friends to come visit us or have a party.

—No Carlos. Whoever marries wants home. – I say repeating the saying that my mother always says.

— But Dalia... – tries to argue Carlos, being interrupted by my lips. I feel someone manifest below, then I walk away smiling.

— I knew you would agree with me. - I say, going towards the door of his house. — Tomorrow I will come here to search for our house.

We did not need to look for much, because we found a beautiful apartment that had just been renovated in a prime location for the two of us. We bought all the furniture and every day we were going to fix our future home. I loved decorating my home, to the point of making me think about changing course, but maybe it was just the enthusiasm for being able to do everything my way. As I had already finished school, I spent the day with Carlos in our home, until the night it was time to go home, since my father did not allow me to stay long with Carlos.

—I have to go ... – I say, panting as Carlos sucks my breasts madly. I look at my cell phone waking up and know that if I did not arrive on time, my parents would come over me and I do not want to give reasons for my father to cancel the wedding. I take my head away from Carlos and the insurance, saying firm. — We better stop now, before we regret it... Don’t forget our agreement.

Carlos and I were committed to not going to bed until we were married. Not that I was a virgin, and neither was he, but we wanted the moment to be special for both of us. Only the boner was killing us both. It was almost impossible to resist. I get up from the couch, adjusting my bra. I smile at him, who breathes deeply, passing his hand in his hair. He buttoned my blouse and straightened my skirt. I walk to her direction that pulls my leg, sliding her hands across my thighs, reaching to the waistband of my panties.

—Ahhh Dalia... – groans Carlos, excited. I kiss his lips and then walking away, biting mine.

—See you tomorrow, Carlos. – I say, smiling.

I come home a little later, but my dad’s not expecting me. I walk towards my room, trying to be as quiet as possible, but I hear a groan of pain coming from my sister’s bed. I sit on her bed and watch her touch her back.

— Is everything okay, Valeria? - I ask, worried.

—It’s my back that’s hurting a lot.- my sister replies with difficulty.

—Have you told Dad and Mom? - I ask, nervous.

—No, it should just be the weight of the backpack, nothing big.

—Let them know tomorrow. For you to be in pain so far is not only that. - I say. I give a kiss on your forehead. —Sleep well.

The other day, my sister warned my mother about the pains, and she took her to the doctor to know what could be. After a week, the exam results changed my plans.

— Valeria will need surgery to reduce the breast, because she has severely damaged the spine of Valeria. - explains my mother during the Sunday lunch in which she demanded that Carlos be present, leaving me worried. — This type of surgery here in our country goes far beyond our conditions ...

— The doctor recommended that the surgery be done in Brazil because of the quality and the cost to be lower.- explains my father, giving a terrible break. Carlos holds my hand, facing my father. — and the only available date is exactly two days after your engagement. Then we’ll have to postpone the wedding until after the surgery and Valerie’s recovery.

— And how long would all this take? - I ask, afraid of the answer.

—Four months. - my father replies.

That answer fell like a bomb on our heads. It would take longer than I thought to get married. But I breathe and try to smile for my sister, who I know is not at fault.

— The good part is that the engagement will continue standing. – my mother says, trying to cheer us up, unsuccessfully.

I started to run with the last preparations of the engagement, barely had time to see my friends. I was so wrapped up in my notes on my desk that I didn’t even notice anyone coming in and covering my eyes.

— Since Muhammad does not go to the mountain. – says the male voice I love so much: Julio Castillo. I turn and hug my best friend. — Hi, gone.

—Hello, mister. – I say back. I show my notes and say. — It’s the engagement’s fault.

- Hummm... that’s exactly what I came to talk to you about .– says Julio pointing to my leaves.

— What was it? - I ask, curious and apprehensive.

— I was at my house thinking about what I could give to Dalia Penedo that she no longer has. - Julio says, going to my bed and lying down. He takes my doll and holds it. — so he concludes that I’ve already given her the greatest gift she could have: a husband.

— If you came to my house with that excuse just to not give me a gift.- I say pretending to be angry. —You can take your horse out of the rain.

— And who says I won’t give you a gift? - questions Julio, pretending to be offended. — I came here just to give you a gift at the time: I want you to make your engagement in my house, where you first met. A cheesy gift, wonderful and unique that only I could give you.

— Are you serious? - I ask, amazed. I would get engaged in the same place where I met Carlos… unimaginable, but coming from Julio, everything was possible. I grabbed him, filling with kisses.

— Less Dahlia, less… -says Julio, holding me. — In return, you have to invite a companion to my height.

— I knew there was a price. - I say, smiling. — You can be sure you’ll have the most beautiful woman at the party.

— I hope so. - says Julio getting up. He gives me a lusty kiss on the cheek and says. — Who knew that Dahlia Penedo would marry…

— One would say to his marriage. - prophesy, as I watch the look of amazement of Julius.

— Nor come with this. – says Julio making the sign of the cross. —I’m going, see you soon, girl.

The fact that my engagement moved to Julius' house made my list of 20 people double in a few hours. Consequently, I had to double work with the decoration, buffet and many other things that were being included as the days went by.

Chapter 6

It was a little over a week before the engagement and I was almost freaking out in my apartment, the only place I wasn’t suffocated with questions and pressure.

— Hi, love. - says Carlos entering the apartment. He lifts me off the couch and gives me a kiss that takes me off the air for a few moments, calming me down. I realize he’s in a great mood. Carlos smiles and says: — I’m on vacation!

— Yay! At least one good news today. – I say trying to avoid my irritation.

—And it’s not the only one. – says Carlos, holding my hand. He kneels and asks: — Dalia Penedo, will you spend seven days with me in San Sebastian?

That is the most indecent proposal I had ever received from Carlos, for two reasons: We are in the summer, an unbearable heat even with the air conditioning in the last is impossible to sleep, so going to a seaside town is a temptation. Just imagining the icy seawater gives me the creeps. Seven days alone with Carlos, without the intrusion of my parents and with our desire high, shakes our commitment considerably.

— So, what does it say to me ? - asks Carlos, curious.

—I say yes. – I answer, without encouragement. I turn away from Carlos and say: — The problem is how you will convince my father to authorize it.

***

— She won’t! - says my father, angry at Carlos' request. He practically screamed, actually to the point of making me listen from his office door. My daughter does not travel alone with her boyfriend.

— Excuse me, Ramon, I’m sorry. If you do not trust the future husband of your daughter who is here giving the word of honor, that will not do anything with your daughter. - begins Carlos, irritated. — Do not need to mark the date of marriage, or better, can unmake everything because there will be no more marriage.

I practically kicked in the door, coming in as I stared at them both. I can’t believe Carlos was going to end it all on a trip. My father faces Carlos and then lowers his head. I approach Carlos, holding in his hand. When my father looks back at both of us, I know what his next words are.

— You have proved to be a man of value, Carlos.- says my father. — I authorize you to travel, but I hope that your word will be fulfilled.

—And it will be. - guarantees Carlos.

What can I say? It was the best seven days of my life, totally alone with him. During the day, we would walk all over San Sebastian. We knew the old port of the city and the Playa de la Concha, the most beautiful urban beach in Spain. Our biggest problem was the night. As soon as we got to the inn, our fire would come up, almost impossible to put out. We almost had sex every night. So the only way to relieve the tension without breaking our commitment was oral sex.

Just like every night, we come kissing and tearing off our clothes. Carlos practically tears my dress, unbuttoning at once, noting that I was just wearing underwear underneath. He carries me and puts me to bed. He takes my panties off slowly. Then he comes back and lies beside me passing his hand without touching my skin , all over my body. Although I don’t feel his touch, the warmth of his hand emanates from my skin, making me shiver. He starts kissing my neck, down to my breasts, where he sucks them with fury. Then he takes off his shorts and lies down on me, surprising me. He had never dared to do that.

—Carlos... - I rebuke, but he takes my lips, preventing any argument on my part.

—Shhhh...- he says, touching my lips with his fingers. I suck them, staring at Carlos with his eyes closed. I feel his penis stiffen between my thighs. He opens his eyes and says: — Do not worry, I will not break our agreement.

He lowers his hand between my thigh and touches my clitoris, pressing very slowly. He kisses me and continues to explore every part of my body with his hands. Gradually he goes down, touching me only with his lips. Giving kisses and licks on my thighs to my groin, until I reach my big lips, passing the tongue inside and out of them. The feeling makes me squirm with pleasure and groan.

Then he explores my little lips, licking from top to bottom, driving me crazy. He walks away, blowing, then back to playing with my sex.

—Ahhh... Carlos ... more, please, more.- I implore, as I had never done until that moment.

He definitely saved everything he had for the last day. Then Carlos dives into my vagina and touches my clitoris with his soft tongue. He starts making circular motions ,slowly, around him. Then he starts making up and down motions, driving me crazy… He knows I’m close to cum and then kisses the tip of my slightly swollen clitoris. Carlos then proceeds to suck it delicately. It increases the pressure as my groans.

—I’m almost... - I whisper more to myself than to him to listen.

When I least expect it, Carlos puts his index finger inside me, making me widen my eyes. He starts to move his fingers and I help him put it all inside me. He then starts to penetrate me with his finger while sucking me. I feel my whole body shaking in a few minutes. I’m delirious with pleasure.

—Yesss , Carlos, this!!!- cry of pleasure, holding Carlos' hair tightly.

Gradually I feel my body arch. Carlos sucks me more willingly, savoring all my joy. I throw my body in bed, practically powerless.

—The pleasure was all mine. – says Carlos, standing up and lying next to me. He kisses my face and my lips.

I slide my hands until I find his erect penis. I smirk at Carlos and say:

— Now it’s my turn.

Chapter 7

In our engagement were all forty people invited. The house of Julio had become a luxury, the way I imagined. I stop at the entrance, watching the scenery, where I saw Carlos for the first time. It was really amazing how in a few months they changed our lives. It doesn’t take long and Carlos comes up smiling at me. He comes towards me and kisses my hand.

—You look beautiful. - praises admiring the beautiful lace pink-tea dress that I chose for the evening.

—Thank you. - kissing your lips.

—It’s time for dinner. - my mother says, interrupting.

We sit at the table, side by side, when he gets up, giving another kiss in my hand and holding it.

— Thank you all for coming to the happiest night of my life. - says Carlos. Then he puts the beautiful diamond ring on my finger, surprising me. I had no idea that he had bought an engagement ring for me. He turns to everyone and goes on. - I must admit that I never thought I would be together with her, but she was very insistent. She said she would marry me in our first kiss. - he touches my chin and faces me saying. - I mean, it was worth this insistence of yours, because I fell in love with you Dalia and still am. Thank you for showing me that you were, are, and will always be the right person to be with me… forever and ever.

I’ve never cried so much in my entire life that I couldn’t control myself. My crying was so big that I had to pull myself together in the bathroom. But one thing I was sure of: Carlos is the man I belong to.

***

— That dress is not white! -says my father for the fifth wedding dress I chose. It had the pink tone and lace.

I take a deep breath and go back to the fitting room, irritated. I know you must be wondering: But wouldn’t decide the wedding dress be the role of the mother? Yes, but my mother traveled with my sister and we agreed that it would be better if my father went with me, which was a bad idea. That’s because I did not want to marry in white, because I was no longer a virgin. But my father didn’t think so. For him, it was either white or nothing. After that fifth, I got tired and put on my flowery dress. I came out of the fitting room willing to tell my father some pleasant truths… and that’s what I said:

—All right. - I start pointing my finger at him, under everyone’s curious eye. —The dress will be white, but I decide the model.

Mine just shook his head, amazed at my attitude. Never in all those years had I raised my voice to him. Eye looking for my consultant, who soon appears. I walk with her back to the macaws. Of all the dresses in the store, what I loved was a corset hopefully fall all embroidered in stones. In addition to a generous tail. As soon as my father saw me wearing the dress, he stood up, horrified.

—You wouldn’t be crazy to wear that dress inside a church. - exclaims my father.— Half of your breasts are coming out of it.

—I warned you. - I remind my father. The saleswoman is smiling at me. — That’s my dress. You can fix it for me.

***

It was a week before our wedding when people started asking us about our bachelor party. We agreed that we would do it together, giving a party in our new apartment, only for close friends. Our only demand for friends is to bring only the drinks that the rest were with us.

It was a very fun night, especially with the worldly stories of Julio. After he seduced everyone, I invited him to meet the rest of my apartment. As soon as we arrived in the room, I showed how full of gifts it was.

— Wow, Dalia. - Exhorts Julio , amazed. He throws himself on my bed and says. — And when will they debut the bed?

— Ahhh, if that bed spoke... - I joke, throwing myself next to him.

—You don’t think you’re jumping the gun ?- Julius asks me, surprising me. Of all of them, he was the one who supported me the most, and now he asks me this question. — Don’t get me wrong, I know this must all be a dream, but even the best dream can become a nightmare.

— I am not rushing. - I answer by getting up from bed. — He is the man I have chosen for me. And stop trying to get those doubts in my head.

And so I close the matter for good. Nothing and no one would disturb my happiness.

***

Our religious wedding was going to happen on the weekend, but we got married in civil on a beautiful sunny Thursday, only with the presence of my parents. As soon as we got married, my parents invited us to lunch. I couldn’t get enough of looking at Carlos, who is now my husband.

— Although they were married in the eyes of men, they were not married in the eyes of God.- says my father, inconvenient. — So no going home again, being alone.

But he could not imagine that a day later, Carlos would be sick, being forced to stay at my parents' house so that I could take care of him. My husband had a high fever and vomited all day. Deep down, I think it was just the nervousness of marriage. I take care of him all day, worried, because now that he’s so close to our dream, he gets sick. Did they put a curse on our relationship?

— I’m… sorry… a lot. – asks Carlos, with a lot of effort. His fever is very high, must be delirious.

—It’s not your fault.–I say, trying to reassure you.

—I love you, Dalia. - says Carlos, feverish.

—I love you, Carlos. - I respond promptly.

The other day I woke up worried, feared that Carlos had worsened. I got up and went straight to his room, that is empty. Then I head to the dining room table, where my parents, and he were drinking coffee. If someone told me, I would not believe that Carlos was sitting there as if nothing had happened. I sit next to him, admiring his incredible improvement.

— Today is the big day. - remembers my mother, smiling.

—Yes. - Carlos interacts, excited. —I’ll go home and finish setting things up.

— I go to the SPA with my mother and sister. - I say.

—See you tonight? - Jokes Carlos.

—No doubt. - I answer, giving a light kiss on his lips.

I spent the day at the SPA trying to relax, but I was very nervous and, at the same time, happy. I had finally achieved what I wanted most: to marry the man I had chosen.

I settled in at the SPA, under the emotional gaze of my mother and the proud of my sister. We arrived half an hour beyond the expected delay. Inside the car, I pray that I don’t cry too much and enjoy that day. My father touches my hand, making me open my eyes.

—It’s time. - warns my father, smiling.

***

Despite my fear, I entered the church smiling, and no tear dared to come down my face. My father handed me to Carlos, and my smile opened even more. I’m feeling like the happiest person on the planet. The pastor starts the ceremony, but I can’t even pay attention, just admiring how beautiful Carlos looks that night. He smiles at me several times and then comes the time of the vows, being initiated by Carlos, who says:

—I am committed to helping you to love life, to always embrace it with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands. I promise to speak when the words are needed and share the silence when they are not. I promise to disagree in agreeing on the cake. And live in the warmth of your heart. I promise to call home the space between your arms and kiss you every morning. Even if you are away from me, I will make you happy and want you to be happy. I promise you my eternal love. - ends by putting the ring on my finger.

After he says those beautiful words, it’s my turn. I spent a lot of time thinking about what to say, and those words were the ones that got closer than I wanted:

— When I met you, I was sure I had to go after what I wanted. I left my fears and faced everything and everyone just to be with you. I have overcome obstacles, cities and countries, but my love has only increased, every day more and every day differently. I loved you when you smiled; I loved you when you showed me how to live better. I loved you at the first look.- The ring is on your finger.

—By the power granted to me, I declare your husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.

Carlos pulls me into his arms and gives me a kiss so intense that it seemed to really want to make us one. Everyone clapped, and we started walking under that rain of rice.

The wedding party was at my parents' friends' restaurant. We danced our first waltz as a couple, we listened to the toasts of our indiscreet friends, photos and more photos. We cut the cake and everything was perfect until we looked at Carlos' pale face.

—Are you okay? - I ask, worried about the cold sweat coming from her forehead.

—I’m not feeling well. - says Carlos, practically running to the bathroom.

I still try to stay a little longer at the party, but I’m tired of taking pictures and seeing him like that. So I ask Julio and my friend Mercedes, who are practically swallowing each other, to take us to the hotel.

***

Our suite was beautiful, with red rose petals everywhere and an enormous heart in the bed. Carlos enters, practically dying. I was already convinced that I was not going to have a wedding night when Carlos hugged me:

—I’m fine, my love. Do not worry, I just need to take a medicine and finally alone.

— All right. - I answer, smiling.

I give him the medicine and go towards the bathroom to take a shower. Before I step in, my necessaire and take the big surprise of the night.

I take the tiara out of my hair and release them. Then I remove all the makeup and take a wonderful shower. When I go out, I wear the white lace lingerie with the sock specially chosen for that night. I look in the mirror and I’m perfect.

I leave the bathroom and do not turn on the bedroom light ,leaving only my shadow to report my presence. I lean back on the portal and ask provocatively:

— It took me too long, my love?

The only answer I get is my husband’s snoring is still in his tuxedo, sleeping in our bed.
