Chapter 1
"Good! Ngk! Drill me more!" Danica, Enzo's current fling, shrieked in outmost satisfaction; her eyes flashed white while receiving too much pleasure from their mind-blowing sex.
Danica was dissatisfied with their current position, so the they shifted their position, riding Enzo from the top. "Not so fast, Honey; let me eat you—Ugh!" Danica yelled as her toes curled and she clung to Enzo, who was moving below. Their lips came together, twisting their tongues and exchanging scorching kisses.
The whole room was filled with a woman's whimper of satisfaction, Danica's eyes welling up with tears as Enzo did her from behind, his hands penetrating every inch of Danica's mouth. Danica, on the other hand, convulsed from the intense trance.
"I-I'm coming! Nghk!" Danica shouted. However, Enzo's lips twisted into a mischievous grin as he pulled out his steel, making the woman frown.
"You love Lollipop Danica. Have a taste, Babe." Danica flashed an insane emotion mixed up with her obsession with Enzo's cock. Who wouldn't? Enzo Robinson is a hotshot that every woman would want to commit a heinous crime to lure a man like him. He is a womanizer, so what? He can give pleasure and drills her like a piston that brings her to seventh heaven.
"Come on, give me the—"Danica almost choked as her eyes were misted in tears and
satisfaction. She could feel Enzo's penis deep in her throat as he moved and fucked her mouth.
"Damn…you are good at this. No wonder you manage my size." Enzo grabbed Danica's hair and shoved his steel deeper, making the woman whimper even more. A woman willing to spread her legs for him is something, however, too bad for Danica because she was just one of his dumpsters where his pleasure could be released.
"Hrrk!" Danica gagged as Enzo groaned in pleasure, digging her to the core of her throat. He released his juices inside her mouth. His mouth jerked into a grin when Danica opened her mouth, making Enzo see his cum inside her mouth. Danica swallowed it. She grinned at him and even stuck her tongue.
Enzo carried Danica to their bed because he couldn't deny but notice how beastly he was between the sheets. The last woman he lured had difficulty walking for weeks, and now, Danica's legs were shaking.
The woman giggled, thinking Enzo doted her; she didn't regret being one of his women. Enzo even covered Danica's body with a blanket and left the exhausted woman in the bed for a shower. Enzo wasn't ashamed to walk naked in front of the woman he fucked and disregarded the other day. His body was flawless, like a Greek god. Being born with a total package appearance wasn't a problem for him to lure his targets. Enzo and his brother inherited a good appearance thanks to the genetics of his parents.
While Enzo had a cold shower, he ran his fingers through his hair as he heaved a sigh.
"Women are nothing but a dangerous pest." He muttered and cracked his eyes off, feeling the chilling ambiance. He met Danica inside the bar where he and his friends used to hang out. The woman was feisty, and as he made eye contact with her, she immediately made her way to clung to his waist and gave sensual kisses, which is why they ended up playing fire.
As soon as Enzo finished taking a bath, he called the hotel staff to buy him a new set of clothes. He was drying his hair when the doorbell rang, indicating that his clothes had arrived. Enzo strode in front of the door as he twisted the doorknob suavely, revealing a woman who was handing him a bag of Versace branded clothes.
"Thank you," He uttered defiantly.
"It's my pleasure, Mr. Robinson." The woman said as she stared at him, intending to flirt around. Enzo couldn't help but feel disgusted as he just gave her a sly smile before shutting the door.
As soon as he clothed himself, he took a note from his pocket and wrote a note for Danica.
"Thank you for the steamy night. Goodbye."
Enzo peeked at the sleeping lady for the last time before leaving and reaching the underground. His Aston Martin was already parked nearby, playing with his car key; Enzo couldn't help but feel bored day by day.
Luring women was his habit. Enzo will find his target, draw her over and have sex with her. And the other day, He will leave a note considering their performance and dumped her like trash. However, he grew sick of it. The pleasure was the only one that mattered to him.
Women are vicious, perilous, and masked by deception and lies. They lured men to fool and get what they desired, and then they would dump them once they got what they wanted. He wasn't a believer in love. Love is nothing but can make a person fool, with scars and pain.
He and his sibling were born to a fugitive mother; how can a mother take the sight of forsaking her child at such a young age? There was no indication of love leaving a child behind. Enzo witnessed how his father died from depression when his mother abandoned them without a sign of affection, and he vowed he would never take love seriously.
Meanwhile, As soon as Abigaile heard the landing announcement that their flight from Chicago had already landed. She heaved a sigh and took a glimpse outside the window. When it was her turn to set foot outside while holding her luggage, Abigaile closed her eyes as she felt the cold wind that lingered in her face outside the airport.
"It has been a while, huh..." Abigaile murmured.
While walking, Abigaile couldn't help but reminisce about events she had experienced. It has been six years since she left Los Angeles. She was young and naïve then, easy to manipulate, and even her heart was easy to fool. Six years have elapsed ever since that terrible day happened. She was sent off after her parents found out that she was pregnant with someone's child at the age of 15 and degraded her as a disgrace to their family.
A bittersweet beam crept on her lips upon remembering the words that her parents rained her that day. She was searching for warmth and comfort, but they just gave her the cold shoulder and disappointed stares.
"…mo."
"M…my"
"Mommy!" Abigaile's thoughts were disrupted upon hearing the voice she had longed to hear. It was her son, Tristan. Delight was evident in her son's pair of eyes as she turned her back to meet him.
Tristan was standing beside Nico, who waved at Abigaile. Abigaile didn't let any seconds pass and crossed the distance between them. She caged her son into a warm and motherly embrace; Tristan whispered how the child missed his mother badly.
"Welcome home, beautiful." Nico greeted her as he pulled Abigaile for an embrace and kissed her forehead. "Yeah, I'm back, handsome," Abigaile replied with joy in her tone.
The two clasped their hand together whereas, Abigaile's other hand was held by her
son. She couldn't help but feel at home upon seeing her two precious boys. Abigaile couldn't withstand too much happiness in her heart right now. She was glad that Nico came into their lives and offered her the joy she couldn't believe would be impossible.
Nico was her childhood friend who studied in Chicago back then. Since Abigaile didn't have any friends to lean on, Nico approached her, and the two grew an inseparable bond; they became closer. She was clueless back then that Nico had been holding his feelings for her, He was there during Abigaile's painful battle, and as soon as Nico tried to court her, all his efforts had paid off. Abigaile accepted his love, and they have been a couple for three years.
When they reached the car parked near the Airport, Nico carried Tristan while the child was dozing. Nico gestured for Abigaile to get inside the car, and no need to worry about her child. Nico opened the backseat and placed the sleepy child carefully; Nico even-handed Tristan's favorite toy before closing the door and sitting on the driver's seat.
Abigaile smiled when she felt Nico's right hand intertwined with hers while his left hand was placed on the steering wheel. "As sweet as ever." Abigaile couldn't help but feel her cheeks burning when Nico kissed the back of her palm before starting the engine and driving through their home.
"Thank you for being Tristan's father for the past years, and u-uh, thank you for
loving me, Nico…." Abigail whispered lovingly as she leaned on his shoulder.
Nico chuckled suavely, "You've just gone out for six years, and I didn't know that
you would become more expressive about your feelings." Nico teased, making Abigaile frown.
She was about to distance herself, but Nico prevented her from moving, "I'm glad that you have become mature and more open. That's a good development, and I'm proud of you." Nico added and then gazed at her with a playful expression.
"Did you fall for me again?"
"Ugh! Just stick your side on the road and stop teasing me, will you?" Nico's laughter coated their entire car. Abigaile peeked in the rearview mirror and saw Tristan sleeping in the back.
This contentment, she wished that this would remain forever.
***
"Are you sure that you are free today? Wouldn't it be a burden for you to care for Tristan while I'm gone? I can decline Tia and the girl's request if you are busy…." Abigaile remarked.
When they arrived at their condominium, Nico picked the same unit where he could approach the two and have time with them. Tiana, one of Abigaile's friends, texted her.
They threw a get-together party for her, so she told Nico about it.
Nico agreed and told her that he wanted her to unwind, and he would take care of Tristan while she was gone and told her to have a good time with her friends.
"Of course, come here," Nico snaked his arms around Abigaile's waist and trapped her in his arms. "Don't worry about Tristan. I will take care of him."
"Yes, Mommy! Tristan will behave so that Daddy Nico wouldn't be distracted from his
work." Tristan appeared on the scene with his usual alive vibes.
"Alright, I'll come back as soon as possible, okay? You, Mister, don't overwork yourself, okay?" Abigaile darted on Nico, who was staring at her lovingly.
"If that's the Commander wishes, I promise," Nico answered as he withdrew his
hands-on Abigaile.
Abigaile gave Nico a Peck on his lips, "I love you."
"I love you, too," Abigaile responded as if she were a teen who had been in love
with her crush for a long time.
"Come on, have a good time with your friends." Nico even called a taxi for Abigaile. Before she departed, the two waved their hands at her.
Abigaile wore a carbon black cami for the top, pairing it with a dark wash, skinny denim
jeans, and black pointed heels. Nico handed her a black coat because it was a bar, and she was lucky to have a caring man like Nico.
When she arrived at the bar, Tiana texted her. As soon as she stepped her foot inside, raucous music flared up in the air. The mood was full of energy.
"The star for tonight is here!" Abigaile's attention was suddenly caught by the voice of Tiana and the other girls. They surrounded her and enveloped her with a warm and suffocating laugh.
"We missed you bitch! It has been a while, and look at you; you are damn drop-dead
gorgeous!" Tiana exclaimed while pulling her to sit in their place.
Meanwhile, Enzo with his friends was on the other side of the bar. His friends had already got their target seating in their laps. Enzo had been roaming around to find his next woman to lure.
"Still, wasn't in the mood to lure your woman?" Liam asked as he handed him a glass of whisky.
"Who says?" he responded as he took a shot.
He was about to add something to tease Liam not until his eyes darted on the very familiar woman that he wouldn't forget. "Abigaile Lewis? What is she doing here?"
While playing with the new shot of whisky in his hands, Enzo couldn't have but be
enchanted with the woman, his eyes were fixated on Abigaile, who was still beautiful as before, but the thing that changed in her was her curves, and she became more mature.
"Oh, wasn't that Lewis? One of your fuck buddies?" Liam asked, who seemed intoxicated while caressing the woman on his lap.
"Ex-girlfriend." Enzo clarified. His hazel almond eyes were fixed, fixated on Abigaile's face,
which was as enticing as ever. She bloomed even more. Her smile shone brighter than the disco lights.
Enzo appeared stuck; he didn't move and only observed Abigaile's every move. He cleared his throat and placed the glass of whisky on the roundtable when he saw the woman standing up. Abigaile was laughing while signaling Tiana, one of their schoolmates, that she was going somewhere.
"Perhaps, she'll go to the restroom. Women love to pamper themselves in front of the mirror." Enzo murmured that didn't escape Liam's ears.
"Were you saying something, brute?" Liam asked with a devilish grin.
Enzo shook his head and stood up. "Nothing, I'll smoke." He said and left their place without answering the other woman volunteering to accompany him.
Enzo was right. He saw Abigaile go inside the bathroom, and when she was done, He
acted as if he had come behind the wall and bumped into her with the intent to see
her reaction.
"I apologize. I didn't mean to bump into y—"Abigaile ran out of words when she glanced at the man whom she bumped into, and Abigaile was astounded upon seeing the face of the man that she will never forget.
Her eyes widened. Enzo loved what he saw; his lips crept into a smile, and he wanted to see more of Abigaile's reaction. "Long time no see, Abi." He said and smirked.
Abigaile didn't know what to do at the moment; she could feel her heart beating fast. It made her feel faint and breathless, brought by their fatal encounter.
Chapter 2
Tapping his fingers on the dashboard, Enzo maneuvered the car as the guards of his Villa opened the gate. He honked twice as a sign of acknowledgment and immediately drove inside. With heavy footsteps, he placed his right hand inside his pocket and stormed inside his house.
There weren't any maids around because it was already 3 am; as soon as he reached his chamber, he didn't let any seconds elapse and barged inside his bathroom to clean himself properly. When Enzo finally changed his clothes, he threw himself into his King-sized bed and let out a frustrated breath.
"After six years, our paths crossed once again. You didn't even ask me how I for those am years you have gone. Hah…Abi, why so heartless?" Enzo murmured upon reminiscing what had happened a while ago.
Abigaile seemed stunned after seeing his face. The woman seemed horrified to the point that she just told him that he had matters to attend to and needed to go. He wasn't expecting her to act aloof after seeing him as if there was a wall that Abigaile had built, and Enzo would have a hard time breaking it.
Enzo just wanted to ask her how she was doing, but instead of giving him an answer, his ex-girlfriend gave him a stern gaze and cold shoulder. He was persistent in talking with her, but Abigaile returned to their table and bid farewell to Tiana and others. She just left like that.
"She used to be submissive; she followed me around like an adorable kitten wagging her tale for her master," Enzo uttered as he placed his hands behind his head.
"Abigaile changed." A sudden deep frown creased the man's forehead.
Enzo couldn't help but dwell on the memories of the past. He couldn't help but reminisce about his moments with Abigaile back then.
— Flashback —
Abigaile Lewis was every man's fantasy on their campus, a woman with everything and the embodiment of beauty, exquisite body, and wit. However, every man who tried to lure her failed. Some courted her, but their attempts were futile because the woman rejected them.
Abigaile was focused on her studies and aspired to be a lawyer who runs in their family's blood. Abigaile's parents were amateur and well-known for being the best lawyers in the city. There wasn't any single case that they didn't win, they brought justice to the people who were deprived of their rights, and Abigaile's priority is to like them someday.
"Brute, trust me, that woman is too hard to have. She wasn't like the other women you
can tame instantly." Liam snickered to Enzo while they were eating in the cafeteria. Abigaile's table was near the window; as usual, it was all about laws and political theories.
"Come on, Liam, no woman could resist our Enzo!" One of their companions teased.
Enzo placed his hand on the table and eloped it to his chin as he peeked in Abigaile's direction. "You bet I'll have that woman by hook or crook."
Enzo kept on bugging Abigaile's study routine as the days went by. He followed Abigaile whenever she went, making every woman on the campus throw darts of hatred at her.
"Mr. Robinson, did you lose all your grip on your women, and you are pestering me? Get out of my way and scram." Abigaile exclaimed in annoyance, made Enzo's friends in awe, and after the woman turned her back and left, Enzo was rained with his friends' jeers and teases.
"That was mind-blowing. A woman dumped Enzo Robinson!" Liam snickered while handing Enzo a bottle of Gatorade. Enzo took it and opened the drink immediately as he couldn't keep the grin that was evident on his lips. The woman named Abigaile Lewis was something, and he was eager to have her in his hand.
Once, Enzo was too persistent to court Abigaile; the man even announced that he was willing to be Abigaile's possession to have her answer. So, Enzo kept on proving himself to Abigaile. Tiana and Abigaile's friends noticed the changes in Enzo; he hadn't seen around with a woman beside him nor had parties all night. Abigaile wasn't convinced at first and kept her guard until Enzo approached her again and again.
"Are you free after your class? Let's have lunch together." Enzo asked, darting at Abigaile, who was busy checking her notes while walking through the library hallway.
"No," Abigaile answered without hesitation. This scene loops daily. Enzo will keep approaching her; Enzo will volunteer to carry her tons of books, carry her bag, or bring her a snack inside the library.
Until Abigaile reached the library and sat on her usual spot, Enzo didn't leave her side like a puppy wagging his tail to his master, not until Enzo's tummy growled in hunger that made Abigaile's eyes peek at him.
Enzo looked away while scratching his nape, and the gesture that made Abigaile laugh
was that Enzo's ears were red as tomatoes. Abigaile knew that the man in front of her was acting mighty but a cinnamon roll.
"W-What? I-I didn't eat breakfast because I was waiting for you at the gate…." Enzo reasoned out while frowning.
Abigaile took out something from her bag and handed him her favorite Cinnamon roll and
her pomelo juice.
"Here, eat quietly. I don't want to get disturbed while I am reading this," Abigaile raised the thick book in front of Enzo, "Modern Political Theories" was its title.
Enzo nodded as he ate the food. From that moment, he couldn't help but steal glances at the woman who was too focused on her interest.
"Are you unaware that stealing glances implies disrespectful intent?"
Enzo chuckled in a low manner and met Abigaile's eyes. "If stealing glances is a form of disrespectful intent, would you put me behind bars or imprison me in your heart? If you choose the second choice, it will be my honor."
Abigaile clicked her tongue and replied, "You're shameless."
Until one day, she didn't notice the walls she had been building every time Enzo was around suddenly crumbled.
There were times when Enzo was involved in a fight, Abigaile didn't let him talk to her, and she acted like Enzo was just a piece of dust in her eyes. However, upon hearing Enzo's reason why he got involved in the fight, Abigaile felt something warm inside her heart.
"A-aw! Please be careful…." Enzo murmured while sulking like a kid.
They were located inside their usual spot in the library. Enzo kept making an awful expression as the cotton touched the bruise on his cheeks.
"What's the reason you ended up causing trouble?"
"The Moron called you nerd and spread made-up stories about you," Enzo responded, making Abigaile stiffen for seconds.
"W-what?" Abigaile couldn't help but stutter because that was the first time someone
defended her.
"I went on a rampage because the moron is trying to ruin your image, get me?"
Enzo said, trying his best not to look at her. He is shy and doesn't know why,
but every time she is with this woman, he can't stop but feel nervous.
"Have you eaten yet?" Enzo's eyes widened upon hearing Abigaile's feedback, he was expecting that she wouldn't care, but his expectation suddenly popped out like bubbles.
"I said, have you eaten yet?" Abigaile asked while applying the Band-Aid to Enzo's cheeks.
"N-No, I haven't." Enzo shook his head and rested on the chair in front of Abigaile. Enzo's eyes sparkled in delight when Abigaile handed him a lunch box and a spare bottle of pomelo juice she had been holding earlier.
"Did you prepare this for me?" Enzo teased to see Abigaile's reaction, but Abigaile just nodded and stuck her gaze on the book she was reading.
Enzo felt the warmth of care from Abigaile. The walls that she had been building whenever he was around, he wasn't that elevated that he couldn't reach. Instead, she is starting to let him in her life.
This was the first time someone cooked for him and prepared a little gesture that could melt a person's heart.
They became closer as time passed, and Abigaile couldn't help but realize that she was already falling for Enzo. Enzo had been a good boyfriend to her as soon as she approved of him being with her.
"Look at this; I passed the hellish subject that keeps giving me a failing grade." Enzo waved his test result in Mathematics as he sat in front of Abigaile inside the library.
"Come here," Abigaile smiled and spread her arms.
Enzo grinned from ear to ear as he ran to embrace his girlfriend like a puppy. "You did an excellent job." When Abigaile felt Enzo's heartbeat, she couldn't help but smile silently because it was pounding rapidly because of her.
Three months passed, and their connection became stronger; others questioned whether
Enzo had changed, but that didn't matter to Abigaile. Enzo changed for Abigaile; he changed from being the Playboy to being a loving boyfriend for her.
"You were waiting for me?" Abigaile sat in front of Enzo, tapping his fingers on the table of their usual spot while humming. Enzo's face suddenly brightened upon seeing his girlfriend. He pulled Abigaile for a hug. Abigaile chuckled and snaked her arms around Enzo's neck.
"Um. I thought I had to barge inside your room and get you out of there by force, threat and intimidation." Enzo snickered, making Abigaile's cheeks blush like a rotten tomato.
"Say, you are becoming more shameless as days go by!" Abigaile witnessed and was
about to distance herself when Enzo quirked a beam and cradled her in his arms.
"Enzo!" Abigaile warned.
"My name sounds sexy from your lips," "Your lips make my name sound attractive," he mimicked. Until Enzo drew Abigaile in for a kiss, it wasn't their first kiss, but it felt the same to Enzo from the minute their lips touched. For the longest time, Abigaile was his girlfriend, and he couldn't help but admit that he liked her.
Enzo knew on their first night together that the woman had already fallen into his trap, and she was eager to forfeit her purity. Abigaile was unlike the other women he had slept with; she was warm, vulnerable, and lovely. She may sometimes become silent because she is pondering something, but she always shares her dreams with him. Abigaile was an open book; once she allowed someone to become a part of her, she was willing to open every page of her life.
"E-Enzo ngk…" Under the sheets, he took her purity. The heat between them was warm
and wasn't the same as his past women. Abigaile placed his palm on her cheeks and smiled. "I'm yours, Enzo…" despite the pain that Abigaile felt, her eyes misted in tears upon feeling the pain of losing her virginity.
"Don't cry…does it still hurt?" Enzo asked as he caressed the tears that had misted Abigaile's lovely eyes. He could sense how tense her insides were.
Abigaile huffed for air and shrugged her shoulders to reassure Enzo that she was okay. Enzo kissed her on her collarbone and neck till his lips reached Abigaile's. Their kisses were hot as if they were the only ones capable of instilling such warmth in one another.
Abigaile's muffled slowly changed into faint moans, and she could feel the pleasure of their bodies clasping together. Enzo was gasping in delight till he felt his climax.
"Abigaile…" Enzo groaned until he released his seeds inside her. Abigaile moaned softly as her lips were owned by Enzo, kissing her passionately.
Enzo glanced at Abigaile, asleep from exhaustion, and couldn't help but caress her face. After owning each other, they cuddled until Abigaile fell asleep in his arms. Enzo drew her closer and closed his eyes.
"Erin, please, I'm begging you, don't leave us!" The vogue face of a woman brushed off
the man's hand, who was kneeling on the floor.
Enzo and his brother were crying, "Mom! Don't leave us!"
However, the woman never listened and turned her back. The young Enzo noticed his father's changes when their mother left; he was sitting near the door, telling them their mother would come home.
Until his father's behavior changed, he started to cry, laugh, and only speak their
mother's name one day; his brother ran through his room, crying. And the next
word that his brother told him made him fall to the ground on bended knees.
"I tried to wake Dad, but he's cold! He didn't even open his eyes!"
Enzo awoke, catching his breath, feeling the drips of sweat on his forehead as he wiped the tears from his eyes. He sighed heavily as his gaze was drawn to the woman beside him.
His memories of the woman beside him were destroyed when he realized she would
leave him one day, just like his mother.
"That could never happen to me," he thought as he stood up and clothed himself.
He left a note on the table and glanced at Abigaile for the last time before closing the door and walking away from her life.
Chapter 3
Abigaile attempted to conceal the unexpected feelings that had bothered her since she met Enzo; her hands were still trembling at the thought of Enzo discovering the secret she had been keeping for far too long. Was she selfish by keeping Tristan alone without telling Enzo that he was the father of her child?
After meeting Enzo that night, she couldn't sleep even a wink after the incident happened. Abigaile couldn't erase Enzo's expression when she gave him the cold shoulder, and after all, she never expected to meet him in the club where Tiana and the others had planned the party. How hilarious is the fate for allowing their paths to collide unexpectedly?
The next day, Abigaile was having a hard time attempting to focus on the book that she had been reading. She removed her reading glass and puffed for air as she put the book back on the bookshelf.
"You seemed not in good shape. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" Abigaile turned her back, and Nico welcomed her open arms.
He was wearing his casual clothes; neat chinos with a shirt, dark-colored jeans, and a pair of leather shoes. He looks like he came from his work to pay a visit.
Nico flashed his dashing smile and caught her in his arms, "What's wrong?" he sang in worrywart.
Abigaile grimaced and then smiled a little. "I think I'm tired from reading all day, or perhaps I still have jet lag to cope with." Nico's shoulder shook as he scoffed at his girlfriend's alibi.
"Sweetheart, do you think that I just met you yesterday? Your alibi wouldn't work on me. I've known you for years, Abigaile. Come on, are you hungry? Allow me to cook to boost my girl's mood." Abigaile's lips curved into a smile as she realized she couldn't indeed hide anything from Nico. Nico is wise and has mastered all of Abigaile's emotions and moods.
"N-Nico!" Abigaile squeaked when Nico carried her like a child and put her gently on the stool of the kitchen's Island Counter.
"Stay there," Nico grumbled as he tucked the kitchen apron into his manly physique.
Abigaile couldn't help but place her elbow on the counter and observe Nico's movements. This man is completely boyfriend material and every woman's dream. Nico is the heir to a multibillion-dollar company. When he surpassed the highest position his parents had established, he was now in charge of the company's daily operations.
When she was pregnant with Tristan, she had to stop studying, and Nico was there to support and care for her. She believed she would be alone fighting the terrible struggle, but Nico never left her side and even supported her when she gave birth to Tristan. Nico was there; he never left her and even volunteered to help her raise the child with whom he had no blood relation.
"Is that—"Abigaile's words were cut off when Nico raised his eyebrow at her and grinned.
"Yeah, it is. Your favorite charcuterie, pot roast, and cured pork. How do I forget your favorite?" Nico teased. Abigaile gazed away as she felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
"Daddy? I thought you were at work?" Tristan drew their attention, who appeared to have just gotten up from his nap and was dozing off while going toward them.
"I missed seeing you. Therefore, I came home early to see you." Tristan sat on Abigaile's lap and smiled for a moment longer.
Tristan lifted his nose and sniffed. "Whoa, is that roast pork I smell? He asked in delight and even clasped his hands together.
Nico chuckled as he finished the plating and presented the food in front of them, "Here, dig up." Nico said and even scooped up enough food and lifted it in front of Abigaile. "Open your mouth. I'll feed you two."
"Weren't you hungry? Eat with us." Abigaile demanded. She opened her mouth and accepted the food that Nico fed. Then, later, she grabbed the spoon and let Tristan sit on the stool next to her and have his food.
She does what Nico did earlier. She scooped a portion of food and fed it to Nico, who was having a good time being pampered by her. "Say, why don't we stroll around for you to relax? Let's take a walk with Tristan. Besides, this is Tristan's first time venturing outside to
explore Los Angeles."
Tristan's face flashed a hint of excitement upon hearing Nico's sudden announcement. "Did I hear it raywt Mwammy?" The two burst into a laugh when Tristan exclaimed his excitement even though his mouth was full.
"Tristan, what did Mommy tell you before?" Abigaile warned, her brows furrowed as she glanced at her adorable son.
Tristan munched the food like there was no tomorrow, swallowed it, and pouted before responding, "Don't talk when your mouth is full. I'm sorry, Mommy, Tristan will never do it again."
Nico couldn't help but feel amused by Abigaile. Ever since he met Abigaile, the woman never failed to amaze him. She gave birth to Tristan and raised him alone. She managed to give up her studies just to take care of the child, and now, she graduated in Chicago and will pursue her Law Degree despite the hardships that Abigaile has been through.
"Why are you staring at me with that intent, Nico?" Nico blinked twice, finding himself stunned.
"Daddy found Mommy beautiful. That's why he is glancing at you!" Nico and Tristan make a high five while laughing together in their scheme. The two were loud as the cars honked outside in the morning. However, Abigaile couldn't help but express a beam while watching the two.
"Are you excited, Tristan?" Nico asked while his gaze was fixated on the road. Abigaile sat upright on the passenger seat, peeking at her son in the rearview mirror.
"Yes, Daddy!" Tristan exclaimed. Delight rang in his warm voice.
"How about you, my lady? Aren't you excited to be with me?" Nico teased while stealing glances at Abigaile, who was pouting at him.
Then, Abigaile sprang a mischievous smile on Nico, who seemed astounded as he cupped his face using his right hand. "What's with the smile?" He asked, seeming tensed.
"Who Am I to refuse the most handsome man in my eyes?" Nico tried hard to focus his attention on the road. However, he failed and murmured curses, making Abigaile sneer.
"Daddy is blushing!"
"It's your fault! You are bullying me." Nico exclaimed, frowning in
front of Abigaile. The trip was filled with laughter and joy until the three
reached their first destination.
While they were on Beverly Boulevard, Nico parked the car in the parking lot and took Tristan's hands. He opened the door for Abigaile and helped her get outside the car. When they reached the Mall, Tristan was too excited to tour around the mall and buy new toys. As soon as they passed the inspection area, Nico's phone caught their attention. Nico hissed and gave her an apologetic smile.
"Wait, I'll answer this. Excuse me." Nico distanced himself meters from them and seemed in a bad mood because his forehead could tell. Abigaile knew when Nico was annoyed, delighted, or pissed. Nico is an open man; his expressions are easy to guess, which is why she let him into their life.
"Tristan, come here. Let's wait for your Daddy," Abigaile called her son's attention when she noticed that Tristan seemed to have a good time as he walked around.
When the phone call ended, Nico's shoulder dropped as he crossed the distance between him and the two, his forehead creased. "I received an urgent call from the office. My secretary needs my approval of the proposals from our shareholders.
"Be a good boy, alright, guard your Mom," Nico glanced at his wristwatch, estimating the time so that he could catch up with the two. He glanced at Abigaile and kissed her forehead, "I'll be back after an hour so we can eat together, alright?"
Nico waved his hand and mouthed 'I love you' to Abigaile before turning his back as he walked away. Every woman who encountered Nico's way was left astounded upon seeing a handsome billionaire. The heavens must bless their eyes.
"So, what will we do first, Captain Tristan?" Abigaile asked as she held her son's little
hand. Tristan let out a grin and exclaimed, "Can we first visit the toy section, Mommy? I promised we would just go window shopping and buy it when Daddy Nico returned! Pretty, please?" A flash of excitement and bliss crossed Tristan's eyes.
Abigaile raised her hands in surrender and guided her son through the toy shop on the mall's second floor. A bunch of playthings welcomed them. The shop wasn't crowded since they came earlier than its usual opening routine.
The Sales ladies assisted them, but Abigaile explained that they were doing window shopping before buying his son's cart. "Mom, look at this! This is awesome!" Tristan exclaimed in awe as he pointed to the giant dinosaur that seemed to be the replica of Echo, the raptor from the newest movie of Jurassic World.
Abigaile told Tristan that she would get a cart so that he would put the toys on the cart and would pay for it when Nico came back.
"Stay there, okay? Mom will just get spare parts." Tristan nodded and then shifted his attention to the toy cars in front of him. Abigaile immediately made her way back to where Tristan was.
Her son is indeed diligent, she came back with a sigh of relief upon seeing Tristan unmoved, and he was standing where Abigaile left him. Tristan was just playing with the car he was holding.
Minutes passed until Tristan got tired of picking the toys that suited his taste and requested Abigaile to carry him. Abigaile gestured for one of the staff to take care of their cart, and they would purchase it once Nico came back. To be accountable for her words, Abigaile left her ID so the manager wouldn't suspect her of being a thief.
"Mommy, I needed to pee," Tristan murmured. So she accompanied her son to the restroom. She waited outside because Tristan refused her company inside the bathroom.
"No, Mommy, Daddy told me that I am old enough to take care of this kind of matter. Just wait for me outside!" Tristan chirped happily as he strode inside the bathroom.
While waiting outside the men's restroom, Abigaile's phone buzzed, and she attempted to wander about while reading the message Nico had sent, informing her that he was returning to the mall. She would respond by moving her fingers when she ran into someone.
Her phone fell on the ground, making her panic instead of minding the person she bumped into. While on the side, shock flashed in Enzo's eyes upon seeing Abigaile.
After that night, he never saw the woman again. He tries to search for her but doesn't know Abigaile's whereabouts.
"I'm sorry!" she said while picking up her phone. It was like a déjà vu for the
two because it wasn't Enzo's scheme to run into her this time.
Abigaile's face became pale upon seeing him, "Hi? How are you?" Enzo started the conversation with her, but Abigaile bit her lower lip as if she was guilty of something.
Abigaile heaved a heavy sigh and responded, "I'm fine. I'm sorry, I have matters to attend to." The woman answered. However, she stiffened when a young boy came behind her, and the next thing that Enzo knew was he was frozen in his spot.
"I'm done, Mommy!" The child chirped with a hint of joy in his tiny voice.
"Mommy? Did the child just call you Mommy?" Enzo asked, his voice low and unsteady as if he had been drenched in cold water. When did Abigaile have a child?
Enzo's eyes darted on the little boy's features. He owned those round hazelnut eyes, pointed nose, and red lips that can be compared to a cherry. But, Enzo's contemplation led to the question of why the Kid resembles him? Why did he look like the mini version of him?
His eyes glanced at Abigaile, who seemed in horror, and then shifted to the Kid, who took Abigaile's hand and asked,
"Who is he, Mommy? Why do we have the same features?"
