Chapter 3
Candance's POV
I approached her and yelled, "No!" as tears streamed down my cheeks. What I was seeing was unbelievable.
Chloe lying on the ground, dazed and soaked in her own blood. I knelt beside her and pulled her up.
"What happened, baby?" I inquired. "How did you end up?"
"It's the Beta," she coughed, spitting blood from her lips. It happened when he kicked me."
I kept my mouth shut. I dashed over to the mattress and threw her down. I couldn't take her to the pack doctor because we couldn't enter a hospital and I couldn't heal her on my own.
I brushed her blonde hair to the side and touched her face as I noticed her face become paler as she became weaker and coughed up spurts of blood. When I removed her top, I noticed a gash-like wound on her torso.
"How could he have harmed our pet in this manner!" shouted Dahlia.
"First, we need to find a way to heal her, and I don't know what to do," I informed Dahlia, "so please calm down."
Dahlia stayed silent for a long time, and I turned my gaze to Chloe. She suffered numerous sicknesses since she relocated at the age of three. She turned out to be a silver wolf like myself because, unlike her, I had not gone through premature shifting, which had considerably debilitated her owing to the difficult shifting process.
"That's all there is to it! Encourage her to talk to her wolf to help her heal; I'm confident it will work!" Dahlia made a remark.
I agreed with Dahlia and reared Chloe.
"Baby," I said to her as I leaned her up against the wall.
She said gently, "Yeah, Mama," adding, "I feel so wobbly. Is it possible that I will perish? "Will I get to meet Grandma?"
"No, baby," I wept, shaking my head in astonishment at her words. You're not going to perish. You'll be living for me. You'll be OK."
"The Beta's mate said I was going to die," she grumbled.
"No, darling, you won't," I murmured, taking her face in my hands. I'd like you to do something special for me, sweetie."
I smiled at her, remembering how clever she was for her age and how I knew she could do it.
"I want you to tell Calla to help you recover," I told her. Calla, I want you to talk to your wolf."
"OK, mum, but Calla appears to be as tired as I am."
"I want you to try so you don't feel fatigued any more."
She nodded before speaking quietly to her wolf for a while. I quickly noticed her exerting herself, which indicated that she was attempting to recuperate. When I raised her shirt to examine the wound, I noticed that it was gradually healing. My face lit up with a smile.
"You did it, you both did it," I said playfully, shaking her cheek. Now I'd like you to cough to see if there's any blood." She did, but there was no blood to be found.
You're alright, baby, I said her as I hugged her tightly.
I'm hungry, she said, smiling and nodding toward me.
"Honey, I don't think there will be food tonight," she replied, and my face fell. I turned to inspect the squashed pancakes on the floor, but they were unpalatable.
"I got it, mummy," she murmured as she plopped down on the bed. "I'm going to bed right now." Well, I'll get you some food tomorrow."
"And one day we will live in a beautiful house with plenty of food and maybe I can get a daddy, it will be wonderful and we will be happy," she nodded and grinned, exposing the gap left by her missing teeth.
Despite the grime on her face and the shredded, bleeding clothes she wore, she appeared to be an angel.
I kissed her on the cheek and murmured, "Go to sleep, child," as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
As I sat down next to her, I crossed my hands over hers, hoping to get some sleep as well.
I couldn't sleep that night since I could tell Dahlia wasn't at comfortable. She was feeling worried and enraged at the same time. I got out of bed because I wanted to chat to her.
"What's the matter, Dahlia?"
"I have a feeling something is going to happen," she exclaimed.
"I don't comprehend you".
"First and foremost, I'm angry that that moron Beta nearly murdered my baby, and secondly, I'm afraid because I have a feeling something horrible is about to happen."
"Let's go to bed, Dahlia."
"I'm thirsty; let's get some water," she said.
I smirked at her and rose to my feet. I looked around to make sure Chloe was asleep before exiting the basement to get water.
I threw away the water bottle and began to leave the kitchen, happy that I hadn't run into anyone, when I felt the Beta's hand wrap around my neck.
"Are you trying to steal something?" he asked in my ear. "Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?"
"Please let me go," I shook.
"What if I say no and kick you to the ground like I did that small one of yours?" he laughed.
That's all there is to it!
Dahlia snarled, "Let me at the bastard!" when Chloe was mentioned.
I didn't fight her this time because she took the initiative. Her canines became longer as her claws developed.
She grabbed the Beta's hand and began twisting it. He screamed in agony and shock. Dahlia pushed him to the ground, then pounced on him and cut his face with her claws, leaving bloody lines in the process.
He growled, releasing his powerful aura, and forcibly pushed her away from him. Dahlia promptly retreated as we reached the wall, and I recovered control. I tried to get to my feet and leave, but he materialized in front of me and grabbed me, barking, "I'm taking you to the Alpha."
"No! Please!" I cried as he dragged me to Alpha's quarters and up the stairs.
I noticed Thomas the Alpha standing outside the door, so I assumed the beta had already mind linked him.
"What did she do now?" he rolled his eyes.
In front of the Alpha, he hurled me to the ground, calling me "your useless mate." "I did it!" He pointed to his own face.
"I'm sorry," I wept.
"Go in the room and strip!" hissed Alpha Thomas.
I got to my feet and walked into the room, fumbling with my clothes.
"I'll take it from here," he said as he entered the room and slammed the door behind him.
As he approached, I turned to face him and exclaimed, "Oh dear, you're really in for it!" before he jumped on me.
I was bleeding everywhere and between my legs when he got off and reached for the whip. When the cold air touched over my skin, I shook.
He made fun of me and said, "Oh my dear, are you cold?" before beating me repeatedly. He seemed to like it more the more I yelled in pain.
The agony was unbearable, so I begged him, "Please Alpha," and "Just kill me." I had given up hope of enduring it any longer.
"Kill you and give you an easy end to your suffering?" he joked as he approached me on the floor. No way, honey, I'm not going to do that." "Worthless slut," he snarled after pulling one of my folded legs out and reading what Beta had scrawled with the knife. He smiled when he read the words on the next leg.
He looked at me with cloudy eyes, making me wonder what kind of agony he would face next. I suffocated.
"Get out of bed and stretch."
To prevent further aggravating him, I hopped up as soon as I could on my unsteady legs and lay down on the bed. I was lying there, my face pressed against the sheets. I wailed in agony as soon as I felt a knife enter my back.
He was writing on my already open back wound. I had no idea what he was chopping. Only when the pain became unbearable did I begin to cry. I was so exhausted that I couldn't even yell.
"I notice you aren't screaming in pain, I guess this doesn't hurt enough," I said as he stabbed the knife into my back. He pulled out the knife and resumed the violence.
"Just kill me already!" I yelled in agony.
"No, I've got one more surprise for you."
I heard the door open and someone enter before I recognized the voice within.
"Mummy."
Chloe was present.
When I raised my head to look at her, she was starring at me and the man she didn't realize was her father. She was standing in the room, as usual, cuddling fluffy.
"What are you going to do to her?" I yelled, since I didn't want him to kill her like he did my father.
He smiled and pulled her over, saying, "She's going to join us in the fun."
She stayed there, staring at me as though she required my approval.
"I said get here, you mongrel!" he said as he walked over to her and slapped her across the face. I had to act quickly as she sobbed. I got out of bed, took a syringe from the bedside shelf, and moved over to stab him in the neck.
He scowled at me and exclaimed, "Bitch!" as he realized what I had done.
He was already more vulnerable, so I wasn't going down quietly.
"I'll finish you right this second," he said as he slammed me against the wall.
"Leave her alone!" Chloe exclaimed as she raced up to us and slammed his knee. I reached for the bedside light, lifted it, and slammed it into his skull as he turned to face me again after kicking her away.
Before falling, Alpha Thomas thumped the earth.
I quickly grabbed Chloe and dashed out of the room. I staggered into the basement with her in my arms, having neglected to dress. The chilly air searing my wounds made me hiss in pain.
As soon as I arrived, I put Chloe to bed and began loading the sack with all of our belongings. We had to depart before Alpha Thomas awoke since we were out of time." Finally, someone is fleeing!
Dahlia laughed.
"Dahlia, please stop from being caustic at this moment; we must depart promptly. "Are you capable of healing?"
“No! Despite our dire circumstances, we can deal with the wounds."
I finished collecting our possessions, put on a plain gown, and grabbed Chloe.
"Where are we going?" she said as we crept out of the pack house.
"We're going far away from here, sweetheart," I answered, knowing we were still on the pack grounds as we successfully navigated the dense woodland after leaving the home. We continued walking after eluding the patrol men, getting closer and closer to the borders.
When we were almost there, I threw Chloe and the luggage across the border.
I crouched to her level and looked at her sorrowful eyes and tiny hands clutching fluffy.
"I need you to change into your Wolf, and I need you to let Calla take control," I pushed. "I need you to do something for me, baby."
"Are we going?"
"Yeah, sweetie, we are."
"And when we have a big house, food, and a father, we'll be happy."
I didn't want to dampen her spirits, so I nodded. We had no choice but to run, even though I had no idea where we would find refuge or what the rest of the world had in store for us.
When she dropped the fluffy, I helped her sit down on the floor.
"You need to focus and let Calla speak, okay?"
After nodding, she sat down. Soon after, she began to shift, her small claws showing pale silver fur and canines.
She wasn't yelling as loudly as she had been in the past, and soon a beautiful pup with silver fur was standing on all fours in front of me.
"Calla," I answered with a smile.
"I did it!" she exclaimed, jumping up and down.
I stood up and smiled at her before doing what I was supposed to do.
It was time for me to do my job, so I stood up and smiled at her.
Afterwards I felt as if all relationships and connections had been cut. "As an omega in your pack, I, Candance Mitchell, accept your rejection." If Alpha Thomas and I want to go rogue from now on, so be it."
I swiftly transformed into a wolf and handed Dahlia the reins. "Choose fluffy Calla," she murmured, approaching the sack and putting it in her mouth.
Calla treated fluffy similarly.
"So, we're doing this?" Dahlia was questioned.
"You're absolutely correct."
Following that, we dashed towards the forest while crossing borders.
We were outlaws.
We went a little further and came across a clearing.
"We need to spend the night here," Dahlia told me, "because if we walk any further, we might collapse."
"All right, Calla is exhausted."
We were about to fall asleep when we heard bushes rustling, and I could feel Dahlia's anxiousness rising again.
"Calm down, Dahlia," I hissed, recognizing what was going on.
Six large wolves sprang out of the bushes, and I knew they weren't rogues. They resembled skilled pack warriors and were enormous.
"What are we going to do?" Dahlia was the one I asked.
"I don't know, it appears that they are out to kill," Dahlia felt a whiff of something as she moved backwards to cover Calla from them. A wonderful smell. That satisfied us and smelled delicious.
Could it be?
A massive black wolf charged in front of us, putting himself between us and the warriors. It was the biggest wolf I'd ever seen, and his fur glistened in the moonlight.
It turned to us, starring at us with those gleaming black eyes, and it was as if the world stopped for a second before Dahlia whispered the word I never expected to hear.
'Mate'
Chapter 4
Candance's POV
Mate? I questioned myself as I saw the large black wolf looking intently at us and sniffing him while he did so.
Mate! Dahlia rushed over to him with a happy expression on her face and her tail wagging.
No, Dahlia! She needed to get closer to him because he was far taller and larger than we were, so she did so by walking closer to him and nuzzling his neck with ours. I made an effort to stop her, but it was too late; she had already reached the person she was going after.
Sparks! When our furs came into contact, Dahlia let out a satisfied purr, and I could sense the wolf tensing up as well as the other warriors roaring in our direction.
The gigantic wolf barked at us, which caused us to quake in fear and run away from him. "Get down, you scumbag!"
What exactly is going on here? He is a companion for us! Dahlia wailed; does he dislike us? What's going on again, Candance?
I said to her, "I don't know," as I watched his dark house erupt in wrath as I was watching it myself. Dahlia retreated as he snarled at us, and as his growls became more threatening, he began to pace menacingly in the direction of where we were standing.
When he stopped moving and appeared to be having a struggle within himself, he was very close to us and had surrounded us close to a tree when he did so. "Shift, you mutt!" he yelled angrily.
Dahlia barked at him despite the powerful aura that emanated from him. She was not intimidated.
What is it exactly that you are doing? To challenge him? He intended to kill us all. I went after her because I believed that he would have an exceptional amount of strength and that challenging him would give the impression of playing Russian roulette with one's life. I had never before been exposed to an atmosphere like that.
He growled at us once more, "Shift!," and walked away. I obediently took control of Dahlia and transformed into my human form after doing so. I made an effort to conceal both my face and my nakedness from him as he looked at me, but I was aware that the other wolves in the area were unable to see me since he was blocking their line of sight to me.
He said, "Your face! It's something I need to see!"
I subtly removed my hands as I saw his eyes travel all over my body while he was looking at me. The knowledge of how my body seemed made me feel like an extremely defenseless and vile person.
Dahlia let out a scream of despair, "He doesn't want us.
I let Dahlia know that nobody is interested in having us around.
"Take a step back!"
Once he had turned his back on me and continued to bark, I reverted to my wolf form out of tremendous resentment for the way he had treated me. It dawned on me. Since the beginning of our relationship, Alpha Thomas has maintained that I am both unattractive and unpleasant to look at.
If I had been attractive and had skin that was smooth and free of scars, then Alpha Thomas would have wanted me and treated me well. Even the person I was living with at the time, whose name I didn't know, would have done it. If I had been more appealing to him, he never would have treated us as if we were some sort of freak and shouted at us.
While we were all watching, Calla sped up to where we were and joined us just as the gigantic and beautiful black wolf returned to what appeared to be the other members of his pack. As he got closer to them, everyone except one of them bent their heads.
Because the wolf appeared to be so lithe and white, I was able to determine that she was a female. She went up to him while she was pranced, and as she touched paws with him, and he nuzzled her, Dahlia and I were overcome with feelings of jealousy and hurt. After that, it seemed as though she was smiling as she walked away.
During the time that he stood there, they seemed to be connected in some way; eventually, they nodded and started coming closer to us.
Before howling, running to the other side of the forest, and disappearing into the night, the enormous black wolf turned to take one last look at us before leaving. He did not understand.
The white wolf yapped at us and said, "You are coming with us, you scumbag!" Dahlia tried to hide, but her efforts were fruitless. They threatened us by saying, "Move back just one more time, and I will put an end to you and that pitiful-looking puppy of yours," as they moved closer to where we were standing.
Calla whimpered as she crept around below us in the shadows.
We didn't make any further progress either forward or backward. They came up to us and immediately started shouting orders for us to move; we had no choice but to comply with their demands and follow them blindly as they led us in a direction that we did not comprehend.
We walked for a considerable amount of time, and during that time, the night just became worse. However, it seemed as though these wolves had not even been through a particularly taxing journey by their appearance alone. We never halted for a moment to relax.
Dahlia exerted her best efforts to keep up with them. As she chased after them, she began to experience a loss of strength and developed scratches on her paws from stepping on thorns. She was unable to keep up with them. When she stepped on another thorn, the excruciating pain caused her to howl.
When the same white she-wolf turned to face us, she barked at us and said, "Move, you mutt!"
11
Calla was unhappy with the reprimand she received. She was having a hard time and was standing close to us at the time.
Calla was compelled to yell at her dog, "Quiet that pup of yours or I will give her something to grumble about," because she barked at us.
As we continued on our journey and soon came at a field with nicely trimmed grass, I had the impression that we were going closer and closer to the pack house.
As we made our way through the field after entering it, I was soon able to make out a large mansion that resembled a castle. As we got closer, the house got bigger, and I could make out a few other houses in the neighborhood, but they were much smaller than the one that caught my eye.
As we proceeded forward, the enormous home that was ahead of us became visible.
"Stop!!!" As the white she-wolf turned to face us, she issued an order, and when the other wolves nodded at her, she responded in kind by nodding back at them. She gave me a rather nasty look before turning around and rushing away in the opposite direction.
We were down to just two other she-wolves and a couple of the other wolves after the others had fled. I immediately realized that we were being taken to the cells as they led us down a path that led us behind the building and then down a little hallway after that.
What do you think they're going to do to us, if anything? As we approached them, I questioned Dahlia by asking, "Do you think he is going to turn us down?"
Dahlia did not answer.
Chloe and I were pushed inside the cell as we were led to the very last cell in the row and the bars were slammed shut once they were latched. As I watched them leave, the two female warriors went their separate ways.
Following the act of placing Chloe on the solitary confinement facility's minuscule bed, I immediately collapsed due to exhaustion. I had a terrible want to cry, but I couldn't bring myself to do it since I was so tired. The arduous journey that we were forced to do in order to arrive here only served to make matters more difficult; the wounds on my body continued to cause me pain and were seeping blood.
I attempted to have a conversation with my wolf, Dahlia; are you able to heal us?
She sobbed, "I'm too feeble after everything," indicating that she would require a significant amount of time.
After offering her a mental acknowledgment, I terminated our connection. When I turned around to face the bed, I saw that Chloe had fallen asleep while still holding fluffy in her hand.
I rested there on the ground and reflected on the happenings in my life for a while. There were several questions sent my way.
Is the goddess of the moon really going to punish me for this? Why am I the silver wolf who is under a curse? Why do I have another chance at love if I'm just going to end up getting turned down again? Just who is he? What exactly is this package? Is he not much of an Alpha at all? Or will he turn out to be even more disappointing than Alpha Thomas and turn his back on me? Will I ever find the joy that's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember?
As I laid there pondering my plight, I wished I had quick solutions to the difficulties that were bothering me. I was in a difficult situation.
Dahlia, I murmured, I'm sorry.
Who could say? It was in fact her.
I let out a sigh and said, "I'm sorry that you have to put up with a poor person like me who no one wants; you deserve better."
I adore the fact that you are a fellow human being and that you are so much more than you give yourself credit for. Sweetheart, you need to get some rest so that we can be strong for when they decide to harass us later. She mumbled something, and I could tell that she was rolling her eyes at the same time.
nodded, and then made the conscious decision to close my eyes in an effort to slip into the welcoming arms of sleep.
A commotion jolted me awake, and as I looked up, I noticed a man standing in front of the cage with a plate and a bottle of water. I assumed it was the guard. The light that was coming in through the window indicated that it was dawn.
The female inmate who was standing in front of my cell spat and hurled the bottle of water into it while shouting angrily, "So, are you just going to sit there looking like a lost fool?" She had more important things to do than to waste time serving a scoundrel a delicious meal. She forcibly slid the plate under the bars, allowing sand particles to enter as the action raised dust, and I instantly rushed up and grabbed it after it was thrown into the air by the movement.
When she stomped off in a huff, she said, "Don't know why I got to feed that silly rogue!" This caused a ruckus among the other individuals who were being held captive.
I lifted the dish so that I could study the food that was on it. I can state with complete candor that in the entirety of my life, I have never been served with anything that looked or smelled more scrumptiously. Because there was such an abundance of meat in the meal, I hardly paid attention to the liquid that was there in it.
Chloe is going to adore this! I couldn't help but grin to myself as I set the bowl down before going to rouse her awake. As I approached the bed, she yawned and massaged her eyes, but she did not open them. She did this as I gently caressed her.
When she realized it wasn't a dream and that we were genuinely confined to a room, she became overcome with emotion and began to cry. "I had a very scary dream last night, mama, that someone locked us all up in a cell, and..."
I hugged her and said, "Please don't cry, my love, everything will be all right. It's okay baby."
She broke down in tears, asking, "Will we ever be happy?"
Because I was at a loss for words, I responded to her enquiry by saying, "They brought food." This allowed me to sidestep her question.
When I put the bowl in front of her and said, "Meat," she beamed with joy and happiness. She didn't waste any time in consuming everything, and as a result, I was left with nothing.
I turned around after hearing a snort coming from the direction of the jail that was directly across from me. I couldn't get a good enough look at the people in it, but I could tell that the voice belonged to a man. "You must be a unique one," the voice remarked. This time, he stood up and moved closer to the bars of his cage. I was able to see his grubby face once his head was no longer obscured by the tangled mass of dirty blonde hair that covered it.
I mumbled something to the effect of "I am not exceptional, who are you."
"A prisoner like you, but I haven't won the favor of the monarch like you seemed to have done," he said. "I've been here as long as you have."
I inquired, "Which king are you referring to?" while staring at him as if he had grown extra heads; he couldn't possibly understand what he was talking about.
He let out a snort, "Are you going to play a game with me, or what? Naturally, the king himself."
Before asking, you gave me the evil eye and I shook my head "Where exactly am I at this moment?
He introduced them all by saying, "This is the Black Fang pack, and the Alpha King is the leader of the pack."
I had no idea what he was talking about, so I was surprised when he brought it up, and I asked, "What Alpha King?"
He scoffed at me once again before saying, "You know, the fearless, the daring."
Oakley Ortiz, who holds the titles of both Alpha and Alpha king, is often referred to as the King of Alphas.
I approached Chloe and sat down on the bed next to her before asking, "What's he like?" Although I was familiar with the name of the Alpha King, I had never really spoken with him.
He shook his head and said, "Intense black eyes, and his wolf is a black wolf that is exceedingly enormous!" he said after shaking his head.
bright, dark eyes! A massive, jet-black wolf. The man continued to talk, but I couldn't understand what he was saying because I had just understood that I was in the domain of the Alpha King, who was also my mate. As a result, I was rendered incapable of hearing what he said.
Chapter 5
Oakley’s POV
While I was bending down to pick up my shorts to put them on, I shifted into my human form in an effort to silence my wolf's protests. I did this so that I could put on my shorts.
In spite of my best efforts, I was unable to piece together what had transpired the night before. I had been seeking for her for for ten years, beginning when I was sixteen, and I had finally found her. However, when I finally met her, I was shocked to find out that she was a rare silver wolf who was both a weak omega and a rogue. I had never expected her to be like this. She possessed all of the incorrect combinations of the characteristics that I never want in a mate, and as a result, I was unable to accept her.
You've got to be kidding me, man; I can't believe what I'm hearing! My wolf, Finn, growled at Oakley and said, "You are such a fucking moron."
As I make my way to the pack house, I come to the conclusion that I will ignore his criticism. Because of the way that I dealt with our traveling companion, he was and still is furious with me. When she rubbed against us, he came close to purring along with her, but I was able to keep him from doing so by exercising perfect control. When she did, I felt the flames as well.
You, you dickhead, are making me really upset right now! He would not stop complaining about how now that we have finally seen her, you have ruined it. We have been waiting for her for years. You even gave the order to lock her up, which is very badass. You have some serious issues! The man threw up.
Finn, I'm not feeling unwell at all! We are not allowed to have an omega as our mate, much less a rogue in addition to that. She couldn't even defend herself when I was being hard on her, and lord, she's a silver wolf; she's abnormal. She's a weak fucking wolf, and she's abnormal. It was necessary for me to answer him this one time. She is a rogue omega as well as a crazy wolf with a bad attitude.
You are just as sick as I am! He yelled at you once more, demanding to know what the devil had transpired to you.
I have no idea! The moon goddess must be playing a joke on me because she won't end up becoming my partner.
He spoke softly and said, "You really need to give this some consideration. She is stunning, and I have no doubt that there is more to her than what you perceive about her.
I couldn't help but agree with him that she was rather beautiful. When I was back there, for a short while, I came dangerously close to becoming swamped in those green orbs.
I explained to him, "Finn, we are not allowed to have her. I will proceed according to the established protocol in the event that you do not want your companion. Now, please be quiet. I require tranquility." I disconnected the line in order to silence his mutterings, and it worked.
When I got closer to the pack house, I heaved a breath of relief and picked up the speed of my walk. Along the way, a few of the warriors on patrol greeted me, but I ignored them because I was in a rush to go to my mother's house as soon as possible and didn't have time for friendliness.
As I made my way into the pack home, I could make out a few voices screaming out "Alpha, Alpha." When I turned around in annoyance to see who they were, it turned out that I was actually two of the female warriors who I had been on patrol with the previous night.
I questioned indignantly, evidently conveying my irritation with the situation, "What exactly is it? Be quick about it."
They greeted him with a salute and a modest bow before addressing him as "Your highness." The next question that was posed to them was, "The rogue that we captured the night before, what should we do with her and her pup?"
Gosh! As soon as I realized that I had entirely blocked out the memory of seeing her with a child, my eyes widened, and I immediately became curious about the reason why she had a child.
I questioned them because, despite the fact that I didn't want her, I couldn't bring myself to expose her to conditions that were awful. "Have you completed everything in the manner in which I directed you? Added a mattress to the holding cell? And gave her some food and blankets to keep her warm?" I said.
They stated that, "Yeah, Alpha. Is there anything further that has to be done after this?"
I responded with a firm "No" while shaking my head and added, "Just make sure nobody approaches her and no damage comes to her; if the opposite occurs, I will have your heads."
I responded with "Yes, Alpha" as they nodded their heads. When I was stopped for a second time, I was about to turn around and continue moving in the same way I was traveling before I was stopped.
Later I was detained for a second time.
The moment Camilla spoke a "Ahemm," I was immediately able to identify her as my Beta. "What's so fantastic about her?" she sniffed in mock surprise. She was the only person who had the guts to attempt to gain my attention in such a way, saying, "Caring for the rogue, I see."
As she proceeded to obstruct my way, I yelled at her, "Get out of my way quickly, Camilla; I don't have time for this!"
She turned her head to look at me and asked, "Is she your partner?"
I used my Alpha voice to address her, telling her, "Get out of my fucking way!" "What I think of her has nothing to do with what you think of her!"
She didn't waste much time in obeying my orders because she was well aware that she wouldn't be shielded from my wrath in any way.
I continued walking forward while cursing in the vain hope that no one would try to stop me because the inconvenient detours were making me increasingly irate.
After arriving there without any difficulties, I went straight to her apartment without any further wait.
I quickly covered my eyes and said, "What the heck, mum!" as I tried to protect myself from what I had just seen. Not every young man would be overjoyed to watch his mother engage in sexual activity with another man.
I was uneasy as I stood there with my arms covering my face as she yelled in horror, "Oakley." I heard rustling in the background during that time. "You might have been able to mind connect me," she said.
She yelled at the male warrior that she was with, saying, "You may open your eyes now son," and I could hear hurried footfalls in the background.
After listening to what she had to say, I opened both of my eyes and turned to face her while snorting "Are you serious, mom? You must be in your 60s if you're still active in the bedroom scene." I went on with a condescending tone.
What gives, my child, because you appear so stiff?" She responded by frowning and saying, "Leave me alone, child," and then she snorted and said, "A lady's got to do what a lady's got to do."
When getting closer to the bed, I realized what had just happened, and rather than sitting down on it, I decided to lean against the wall instead. What did you say was wrong? She inquired about this while giggling at my antics while sitting on the bed.
I heaved a sigh and said to her, "I met my partner. She is a Silver Wolf, an Omega, and a Rogue all in one."
"Is that a wolf with silver fur?"
"Yes, mum, and I don't know what to do," was the response I gave.
She scowled at me with her eyebrows arched and then said, "What exactly do you mean when you say that you are at a loss for what to do? You have finally located what you have been looking for, but you are at a loss as to what you should do next."
In response, I said, "Silver wolves are believed to be abominations, omegas are as weak as fuck, Rogues are not to be trusted, they are slime and she is all of this, I am going to reject her." I could sense Finn's annoyance at my statements.
Do not even begin! I attempted to warn him.
Candance heard my mother yelling at her, "You are not going to act in such a way! I forbid you to turn down a girl from a low-income background!"
He responded to his mother by stating, "Mum, you can't tell me what to do; I'm the King."
"And I am the queen," she said proudly.
"Mum…"
She questioned me by saying, "Tell me what she is like," and she repeated the question to ensure that I realized that she was being serious.
I complimented her appearance by telling her, "She's attractive," and then I went on to say, "She smelled like honey and rose petals, and she had lovely green eyes and an innocent face, and her hair was pale blonde, and she appeared to carry the burdens of the world."
My mother got to her feet and walked over to me while uttering the words, "She sounds great but broken."
Where is she at this time?
"Somewhere..." I mumbled to myself. I didn't want her to find out that I had given the order for my partner to be detained because I didn't want her to be angry with me.
Where can I find the answer?
No, mama, I lied.
She put her hands on my face and said, "I can't compel you to go against your wants, kid. However, I would urge that you take things slowly and examine your options before you make a decision." She then removed her hands from my face.
I smiled at her and said, "I'll be your mother," and she responded with a grin.
She went on to say, "I will prepare a great meal for you sweetheart, but I know you are terribly exhausted after your patrol all night, so go get some rest." Although she promised to make you a delicious breakfast, she also urged you to rest.
After giving her a peck on the cheek, I exited her quarters and proceeded to mine.
I had just gotten out of the shower when I entered my room, where I saw a magnificent breakfast all laid out for me. I got closer to it while taking in the heady scent of the amazing perfume; there was a letter scrawled on the tray.
Sweetheart, I hope you enjoy your breakfast, and please don't forget what we talked about earlier.
I love you -Mom
I read the message with a grin and then proceeded to sit down at the table, but I failed to see that my towel was still wrapped around my waist. I focused all of my concentration on the pleasure of eating my breakfast, and for a brief period of time, I forgot that Finn was angry with me and that I had a mate that I didn't want.
