I opened the door to the apartment i and my Alpha Mate has been sharing for the past five years years, just last night, i received a notification of the annual dinner night hosted by the Pack members in celebration of the Alpha reign.

It didn't come most as a shock to me but the fact that Lucas didn't bother to invite me was a pain in the heart, he had suddenly turned cold towards me just on our Fourth anniversary.

Even though he was a cold and ruthless Alpha, who ruled his pack with iron hand, he had always been this sweet soul towards him, he made me feel so special, i was the only one could change a major decision he made, he was caring and supportive, but just a year ago, he suddenly changed.

I opened Iron door of the gigantic apartment and walked in, the light were turned off, so i concluded that Lucas wasn't back yet, i proceeded to the kitchen, to make him his favorite pie, today is birthday celebration and no matter how he treated me, i want to make this right, i opened the fridge and brought out all the necessary ingredients needed for the baking.

Lucas hasn't been home for days, he traveled to Vegas for an important business meeting but i got a call from the his assistant that they were at the airport heading home.

I wanted to surprise him with his favorite papaya pie, i worked hard, sweating profusely from kneading the dough, cooking wasn't really my calling, i hated it that much, but because of Lucas, i had to endure it.

After i was done with the pie, i smiled and placed it on a fancy plate and placed it on the dining, i looked up and noticed a light coming up Lucas home office, i smiled within myself, he was home already.

I walked to the office door and before i could knock, i heard a loud moan coming from inside, my hands trembled at the door handle, this moan totally came from Lucas, i recognized his voice, was he hurt.

I opened the door slightly open when i heard another moan, and this time, i realized it was a moan full of pleasure, my heart paused.

I took another step into the room and i witnessed the shock of my life, Lucas was cheating on me with a red blonde hair girl.

Lucas eyes were closed and his wavy brown hair covered part of his face, i hastened my steps and approached them, my body trembling from betrayal.

"What are you doing?" I asked him, my voice a little bit tiny and barely inaudible, but Lucas heard me, he is an Alpha and had incredible hearing ability.

He merely looked at me, his eyes no longer held the warmth and love it always held, instead, in place of that, was a cold and detached look, mixed with a look of disgust.

My eyes widened, these past year, his behavior had changed, but to hurt me like this, i didn't ever imagine it, my eyes darted to the red blonde on the floor, she was obviously oblivious of my presence, she was so concentrated on giving Lucas the time of his life.

I took a step back wards, the sounds of my shoes hitting the ground made the red blonde look up, her eyes met mine and she widened her eyes, obviously scared, I was the Luna of the park, of course, she had a reason to be scared.

But the look of fear soon disappeared from her eyes, the red blonde seem to have realized something and she looked at me with contempt. I couldn't watch this go on anymore, i turned my back to them and left coldly.

"Lucas..how could you do this to me?" I asked the moment i watched him stepped outside his office, with the blonde clinging to him.

"What do you mean, its the heat period, and you are in that time of the month, what would you have him do?" Sarah, the red blonde assistant secretary of Lucas blurted out.

My eyes dimmed, how would she know am in that time of the month, i suddenly remembered, i ran into her on the Mall yesterday, i was stained and a guy, had helped with his jacket, she must have seen it happen.

"Shut up, you are shameless, i wasn't talking to you, you don't deserve my attention." I poured out the words coldly at her, she winced and Lucas frowned.

"You are being too dramatic and harsh, watch your tone." Lucas muttered under his breathe, Sarah winked at me, obviously satisfied with herself.

"Luna, don't give me that look, Alpha Lucas was merely in the heat period and needs to release, you know no Alpha can withstand it." Sarah pleaded, but her the look on her face was provocative.

Lucas merely spare me a glance before walking away. Sarah maybe sighted the delicious looking pie on the table, she immediately reached out her hand to grab it.

"Don't you dare!" I yelled, fire burning in my eyes, Sarah looked at me with scorn before turning to Lucas and coquettishly said.

"Am a little bit hungry, that little exercise exercise in there must have been tough on my stomach, what do i do?" Her voice was barely audible.

"You can have it." Lucas said indifferently and he stood aside as he watched her devored the delicious pie, my eyes almost watered, this was what i had painstakingly made even with my cramps.

Cheating wasn't enough, he fed it to this lady, my whole self boiled, i felt like hitting her head with the plate of the pie, but i had to withhold myself, i couldn't stoop so low to her level.

I watched on as Lucas opened the door for her and they both left, i walked slowly to the window and opened the rails, sure enough, he was driving her home.

My hands clutched by my side, i wanted to figure out why Lucas suddenly changed towards me, he used to love me a lot.

Before he even felt the mate bond between us, he already confessed to me, i was the long lost child of the Beta, i arrived newly at the pack, he was the only supportive person i could lean on.

He basically worshiped the ground i stepped on, what changed, how could My Lucas go from a caring and loving husband to something so ruthless.

That same night, Lucas got home quite late, i was already preparing for bed when he opened the door.

He didn't utter a word, not even a silent apology, he merely spared me a glance and strode into the bathroom, after about four minutes, he got out, his hair was wet.

I watched the drops of water flow on his chiseled figure, his chest was firm and solid with a wide and masculine shoulder, he had the body of an athlete and the face of a playboy.

He was just too hot that many women wished to be in my shoes, but he changed, i was waiting, i needed to have a word with him, an urgent one.

"Lucas..." I began after he finished finished drying his hair.

"Uh huh." He replied, not even sparing me a glance, his eyes were fixated on his phone as he typed away.

"I need to speak to you about something really important." I said but received no reply from him, nonetheless, i continued.

"Am leaving the pack soon, am going to my adoptive parents to pay them a visit, its been years i visited them."

"No." He merely uttered one word, opened the door and stepped out, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

The next morning, i got up as usual to prepare his morning bath, he hadn't returned to the room last night and i presumed he slept at his office.

The door opened and Lucas stepped on, he walked straight to the bathroom without even a good morning kiss or greeting, i was getting used to his cold side, but it was a bit tough for me.

One thing i hated the most is silent treatment, he treats me like am air, as if am invisible, that is the most horrible side of this all.

After some minutes, Lucas stepped out of the bath with only a towel wrapped round his waist, his eyes were fixated on his phone.

After dressing up, i packed his lunch at work, i always woke up early every morning to prepare this, never failing, not even once, i stood beside the door with a smile as i watched him approach.

I handed him a mug of hot creamy coffee, when he was still himself, he used to tell me that coffee always made his days special, not just because of the taste of the coffee, but because i made it from scratch myself.

He used to praise me unending with his usual charming smile, a smile that would send millions of girls tripping on their feets, but that smile used to belong to me alone.

But now, i can't even see a smirk from him, he changed for some unknown reason but i plan to see him through this, no matter what, he is my mate, he would come around.

Looking at his cold and indifferent eyes as he stared down at the coffee in my outstretched hands, i doubted that sentence within me, and i hated myself for doubting, i should be understanding.

Lucas took the coffee from my hands and drank all in one go, and to my pleasant surprise he took the lunch box i had prepared for him, my heart drummed against my chest.

Was he finally back to normal, he hadn't accepted the lunch box i prepared him for months now, he even drank the coffee i made him, i smiled, even though he didn't utter any words to me, i felt that he was coming around.

Two hours later, i walked into Lucas office to clean when i noticed a large blue file on the table, i opened it and peeped inside, it was a contract and lease agreement between Lucas company and Alpla Kelvin Company, the alpha of Blood Moon pack.

I checked the time and date on my phone, it was the day both packs were supposed to make a treaty, this documents were crucial to the alliance swearing that day.

Lucas may not notice he forgot it at home until the time for signing, if that happens, it would make the Blood Moon pack thinks my pack is dishonest and not willingly to make a treaty, i mean how could would they take such a lousy excuse.

As the Luna of Crystal Pack, i couldn't just sit and watch this go the entire wrong direction, i picked up the files from the table ans without even bothering to change my clothes, i rushed outside.

I grabbed a key from the box inside the parking lot, this box was always open, no one dares to steal from the Alpha as Lucas would be able to recognize their scent once and trace them, so these cars were left untouched.

I hoped into the air and hit the brakes, all the while, waving to the super cute gatemen at the gate and a guard on patrol, We both live in an apartment complex, but we were the only ones in the entire compound, because of his trauma, Lucas loathed staying in Mansions, so even though he was the Alpha, we had to stay on a apartment building he bought.

I stepped into the company and entered the elevator reserved for the executives, no one questioned me, My Mark as the Luna was clearly visible on my neck.

When Alpha's mark their Mate, unlike other wolves, the red mark on the neck will turn purple and remain on the Luna'a neck forever, until maybe something happened and the mate bond got severed.

I shuddered at the thought of it, i touched the spot on my neck, my eyes glittering in tears, was this a fate that awaited me.

Soon, the elevator stopped at the top floor, i rushed like a frantic to Lucas office, earning the glarw from the employees, i didn't care, after all i had a mission in mind.

Without knocking, i opened the door of Lucas office which was unlocked and stepped in, the sight before me almost made me faint from anger.
