CHAPTER 2

YASMINE POV

I lifted my gaze to Bradley and said sharply.

“What's the need of going to the clinic with you and your lover,I have no business with you anymore,I have called off the engagement, everybody knows about it”.

“Calling off the engagement on your seventh anniversary?,You can't be serious Yasmine”,Sam the omega who had being watching everything said as he moved closer to Bradley.

“It's our seventh anniversary already?”, Bradley said in despair,his voice cracking with emotion.

“I will be leaving your cabin Bradley,so that you will have a nice time with your lover”,I said, staring bitterly at Veronica,who seemed to be happy about my announcement.

Upon hearing my voice, Bradley's face darkened,he clenched his fist in anger.

“You are so ungrateful Yasmine",for seven good years I clothed and sheltered you,yet you can't even give me a child. Here now Veronica has a child and you aren't happy about it.

“I should be happy about what?, that you impregnated your mistress?,how do you expect me to have a child when you never touched me”, I said sharply.

Tears ran down my cheek,my mouth so heavy to speak,I sold all my father's property to save your life Bradley,yet you are claiming a victim here,you are the reason my father disowned me,I let out my words,faint and cracked as tears continued flowing down my cheek.

“Yasmine you don't need to be jealous of Veronica,go and get her bag and meet us at the pack's clinic”,he repeated as he walked slowly with Veronica guiding her step.

I watched as both of them walked away.

Suddenly,my phone buzzed.I had received several messages and pictures from an anonymous sender. My hands trembled as I viewed the messages it contained,the pictures of Veronica and another man in bed,her lover.

The other set contained Bradley and other dubious pack members participating in an illegal oil extraction business.

I became speechless,my hands too heavy to scroll down,the information sent were very vital to hold against them.

I read the warning words down “Pretend to have no idea about it”,I quickly pulled down the phone and headed to Yasmine’s room.

The game had just begun.

I could feel my wolf jumping up excitedly,as I laughed loudly.

Quickly,I walked into Veronica's room,I glanced around her bathroom.It was filled with luxury brand items and expensive skincare products with the packs Elite logo written over it.

My heart trembled with anger as I recalled how I pleaded with Bradley to get me a random gift, during the pack's reunion.

He looked at me in utter disdain, saying “Yasmine,you aren't worth spending on,you are not the type to make sacrifices for”.

I couldn't help but laughed at myself as I picked few things from her wardrobe and left for the clinic.

Bradley was holding Veronica softly,while speaking to her, immediately he saw me,his face darkened.

“ What took you so long Yasmine,drop her stuff quickly”, he ordered.

“Why have I being blind folded all this years”,I murmured to myself as I watched the both of them holding passionately.

Bradley quickly went out to answer a call,I was just left with Veronica.

I broke the long silence between us.

“Veronica is this pregnancy really Bradley's own,I asked,my eyes fixed on her.

Veronica was so uncomfortable with my question,she shifted her hair and sat upright, avoiding my gaze.

“Yes!,it's Bradley's child,do you have a problem with it?,she smirked

“Too bad the baby would grow up with a wrong father," I said in a harsh tone.

Veronica clenched her fist,her eyes sparkling in anger.

“What do you mean,Yasmine,that I'm lying about the paternity of my child?,she said as she walked slowly towards me and pulled my hair.

“You have to keep your mouth shut Yasmine,else I would kill you here,her hands piercing through my skin.

“Stop it Veronica,I screamed, pulling her hands off me,she quickly picked up a glass bottle and broke it on my head.

Ahh….I screamed for help as blood dripped down my body.

“Alpha! Luna and Beta got into a fight,my eyes closed,as the faint voice announced.

“She’s conscious Dr Enny”,a voice announced.I lifted up my eyes and saw Sylvia,my best friend,my heart gladdened.

“Yasmine what happened?" she asked,her voice low and gentle.

“I got into a fight with Veronica this time around”,I murmured gently, sitting upright.

“This time,they aimed to take your life right?"she asked as she gazed at me with pity.

“Be thankful,I came right on time to save you,Bradley abandoned you and took Veronica home, leaving you lay lifeless in the clinic,Dr Enny was the one that called me to come over”.

“It's fine Yasmine”,I'm glad you are okay now.

Tears ran down my cheek,as Sylvia narrated everything, “I'm sorry Sylvia,I'm sorry for ignoring all your warnings”,I sobbed as tears flowed down my eyes.

“It's fine dear,when was your last shift,I guess you had been so busy caring for your wolf," she added, urging me to shift quickly.

I shook my head in regret,it had been months I did because I was too busy caring for someone who never loved me.

I quickly shifted,my wolf Kate giggled in excitement,long time Yasmine,I have forgiven you,she said, feeling so warm.

I could feel my wound heal quickly, because I got some Alpha's blood.

“Time to let the past be and move on”,Kate and Sylvia chorused in unison.

My lips widened in excitement as I hugged Sylvia passionately still in my wolf form

“Yes,let the past be," I responded.

I pulled my grip off Sylvia,as I perceived a strong scent coming closer to me,my heart skipped in fear,as I have never felt such a strong scent in my entire life,could it be danger I murmured,my hands trembling.

Suddenly the door creaked open.

CHAPTER 3

YASMINE POV

Julian,the Alpha of the Black rose pack,walked in.

My gaze fixed at him,as he moved closer to me.

“Greetings Alpha”,I said in surprise,never expecting to see him again.

“I invited him here”, Sylvia snapped sharply, breaking the sudden silence.

“Nice to meet you again Yasmine”,he said as he patted his arms on my back, stretching his hand for a handshake.

I quivered,my hands trembling,as I bluntly rejected his handshake.

“It's fine Yasmine”,he said, seeing that I wasn't comfortable with it.

“I have looked everywhere for you Yasmine, Sylvia had told me everything,I'm here to take you away from Bradley”,he said with a gentle voice.

My lips widened with surprise as he spoke,my gaze fixing closely to him, “his scent,why do I feel so drawn to him”,I said to myself.

“Our wolf never bonded,why now?,does he feel the same towards me?,but I'm mated already,why I'm I still drawn to him”,this thought ran through my mind quickly.

Lost in thought, Sylvia tapped me severally and said, “Yes Yasmine,go with us,Julian would reserve your flight for you,once you agree to come with us”.

I nodded,my gaze still fixed at Julian.

“First I have to go to my father's pack”,I responded,as I twirled my face away from his gaze.

“Your father's pack?”Sylvia asked sharply.

“Yes, I have to let them know and take some of my belongings too”, I replied.

“Are you sure about that! Yasmine ?”Sylvia asked in surprise,as she reminded me that my father,Alpha Lucas, wouldn't welcome me into the pack.

Alpha Bradley didn't visit my cabin after that night,he avoided contact with me,he blocked my number and ordered his warriors not to guide my cabin anymore.

I didn't bother dealing with him and took a trip back to my hometown to collect my few items.

Immediately,I stepped into my hometown cabin,my father,Alpha Lucas,fixed his gaze on me,his face turned red, burning in anger.

“Where's your fiance Bradley,”he asked as he pushed me away from his view, checking if I came with Bradley.

My mom,Luna Tracy,came forward as she quickly landed a slap on my cheek,once she was sure I didn't come with Bradley.

Bradley had told them everything,the message I dropped on the family's platform got everyone pissed off.

“What brings you here Yasmine?”my father broke the long silence,as I held my cheek in pain . Eagerly waiting for my response.

“I'm just here to take a few of my belongings,I'm not here to make trouble”,I replied.

Hearing this,my dad sprouted out in anger.

His face turned red. “You are so ungrateful Yasmine”, Bradley told us everything.

“How can you be such a brat”,you even tried to kill his child.

“But dad…that's not my child,he cheated on me”,I said defensively.

“Face it Yasmine,accept the child and try to get pregnant for him”,my mom,Luna Tracy commanded.

“Yes..face it Yasmine,if you have been able to get pregnant for him all these years he won't have cheated on you,you aren't accepted here ,stay away from this pack”,he ordered his words piercing into me.

“It's fine, Alpha Lucas," I responded , my voice cracking and faint.

I packed my few things and left, waving goodbye to them but my both parents sharply ignored me.

I held back my tears,as I stepped out from the cabin.

“It's my fault, everything that is happening to me," I murmured.

My life is a mess now,I have no hometown to run to whenever I'm down.

I have upset my father ever since I came in contact with Bradley,he made me sell off my family's properties,now my Father can't accept me back as his child.

The tears I tried to hold back gently ran down my cheek as I couldn't hold them anymore.

Immediately,I saw Bradley as he stepped out from his car, standing firmly in front of me.

“You see Yasmine,not even your family wants you”.

I hissed at him,and ignored it, moving away from his gaze

“Come to me,I would accept you as my mistress,I'm only going to marry Veronica," he giggled mischievously.

“I reject you Bradley,as my mate and as an Alpha,you are shamefully created,our wolves never bonded and will never bond," I voiced out sharply and walked away from him.

Bradley stood in shock as he watched me leave.

I could almost picture Bradley's furious expression.

I also could imagine my parents' hysterical reaction,but none of it matters to me anymore.I have moved on and will definitely forget about my past.

Immediately,I pulled out my sim and threw it into the trash and posted all the pictures and evidence I have against Veronica and Bradley to the Pack Journal platform.

Suddenly,the world around me became quiet,I felt a cool air run down my spine.

I'm free from all my past worries,I said to myself.
