Chapter 2

After I came out of the hospital, I still had a diagnosis in my hand, which showed that I was in the middle stage of cancer, but I didn’t feel the pain of dying soon.

There was no one in this world who cared about or loved me anymore.

I slowly returned to where I lived, which was a chaotic and dirty gathering place for the poor, in a dilapidated state.

As soon as I arrived at the door, I found that all my luggage was thrown outside the door. I hurried over to search inside and finally pulled out the broken bracelet from it.

This was the only thing my mother left me.

I cried loudly while holding the bracelet and the landlord came over, kicked me a few times and told me to get out quickly.

Suddenly, there was a pain on my face and I looked up and saw Diana, her face full of ridicule and disgust.

“This is the price you pay for coming back to seduce Neil! If you dare to show up in front of him again, I will kill you!”

I stood up slowly, with pain and disbelief in my eyes, even though we used to be such good friends.

I was about to question her, but she grabbed my hands and she fell to the ground. I was thrown to the ground before I could react.

Neil hurriedly picked up Diana and his eyes turned red when he saw her groaning in pain.

“Claire, how can you be as vicious as your parents!”

My heart trembled. He hadn’t called my name for a long time. At that moment, my tears almost flowed out.

I didn’t know how to explain to him that his parents’ death had nothing to do with my parents and I knew he wouldn’t listen.

Why didn’t he think about why Diana appeared here and meet me?

I just watched how Neil hurriedly called an ambulance and how he gently comforted Diana.

I peeped at the happiness I once had like a mouse.

Neil took me with him when he went to the hospital. “If Diana gets into trouble today, I’ll make you pay for it!”

While waiting anxiously, a nurse saw me. “Madam, are you going to get your disease treated? I said you are so young, how can you give up on yourself?”

When she spoke, I remembered that I had seen her this morning.

Neil frowned. “What disease?”

I didn’t want him to know, so I hinted to the nurse to leave, but Neil held her and insisted on an answer.

Seeing my embarrassment, the nurse shook Neil off. “You are allergic to alcohol. You almost lost your life. You are her boyfriend, so why you ask?”

I breathed a sigh of relief and suddenly found myself a little funny.

If Neil knew that I had cancer, I was afraid he would be happy and applaud.

Neil’s eyelids drooped and he spoke with anger again. “Why didn’t you drink yourself to death? You deliberately found this person. Don’t waste your time on me.”

Diana was fine. Neil bought a lot of nutritional supplements, placed them in the ward and fed them to her personally.

I didn’t eat anything in the morning and my stomach was rumbling.

Neil didn’t even raise his eyelids, just smiled at the other person.

I was caught off guard and saw the bracelet on Diana’s hand.

It was the heirloom bracelet that Neil’s parents gave to their future daughter-in-law and Neil never gave it to me back then.

He said he would give it to me on the wedding day, but it turned out that he just didn’t want to give it to me.

I was driven out to guard the door and soon there was an ambiguous voice from inside.

They were doing what every couple would do and through the door, my nails had already scratched my palms to a bloody mess.

I once offered Neil to make love with me, but he always refused.

It turned out that he just didn’t love me and even felt disgusted with such things.

Diana deliberately exposed the red marks on her body. “Neil, you really. I’m pregnant and you still want me so much.”

Chapter 3

“When you were together before, he was also so... unsatisfied?”

My lips were bitten by myself and hurt, so embarrassed that I wanted to escape.

When Neil came back from the toilet, Diana squeezed out tears instantly. “Neil, she said I was shameless to seduce you.”

How could people change their faces so quickly? I was numbly humiliated by Neil and wandered on the street.

“What good thing are you? Who was the one who always ran to the hotel to beg me to have sex with you!”

It turned out that he still remembered.

Yes, how could he forget such a cheap person? I actually loved him so much that I threw away all my dignity.

While wandering, I suddenly felt a pain in the back of my neck and fainted.

When I woke up, I was tied up in a dark abandoned warehouse and there were several strong and fierce men in front of me.

My clothes were torn apart and I could only cry silently with my eyes open after crying loudly to no avail.

They seemed to have called someone and I seemed to hear Neil’s voice.

These men demanded a ransom of 5 million dollars and Neil’s cold and sarcastic voice came.

“Claire, this is another trap you set up. I won’t give you 5 million dollars even if you throw her on the street.”

My miserable voice exploded throughout the warehouse. I didn’t know how many photos and videos these people took. When I woke up, there was no one.

My clothes were torn to pieces. There were few good pieces of flesh on my body and there was a pool of blood under me.

On the mobile news, the chairman of Snyder Group spent 300 million dollars to buy a beach villa for his wife Diana today.

Where the money was, there was love.

I really wanted to lie there and wait for death and I did so.

I didn’t know how long I lay there, so long that I thought I should die.

I saw Neil gave Diana the only diamond ring in the world and proposed to Diana with the most grand surprise in the envy of everyone.

I also saw the photos spread by those big men everywhere and my mobile phone had countless harassing text messages from obscene strangers that day.

On the second day when I was dying, the police found me and sent me to the hospital.

My body was too bad and the doctor told me that I could live less than half a month at most.

I didn’t expect that I would run into Neil again in this hospital. He was a little flustered and didn’t know what he was looking for. He was stunned when he saw me.

I was covered in wounds and looked haggard. I wanted to hide. I was afraid that he would laugh in front of me.

My body was already in pain and I didn’t want to feel any more pain.

Neil strode to me and grabbed my collar, his face extremely ugly.

“Where did you hide Diana!”

His tone was anxious. I frowned and puzzled. I could only let him shake me helplessly. “Claire, don’t think that I will let you go if you pretend to be dying! I’ll give you another chance, tell me quickly!”

My facial features were wrinkled in pain and I felt that my body was about to collapse. Suddenly my cell phone rang.

How could someone call me? I had a bad feeling in my heart.

Neil grabbed the phone and answered it.

The voice from the other side came over and my heart was instantly lifted and I felt that breathing became difficult.

“Miss Hoffman, we have captured the person you asked us to capture and she is still in the old place. We want to go together, is it okay?”

The phone was filled with Diana’s painful screams and Neil’s face turned pale at a very fast speed.

He pinched my neck, his eyes full of resentment and disgust.

“You can’t pretend to be kidnapped, so you want to harm others? Even if you die, I won’t care about you. Take me to find Diana right now!”

The chaos of that day replayed in my mind again and I burst into tears in pain and finally got out of the pain Neil gave me.

Chapter 4

He dragged me like a slave to the abandoned warehouse, a place I never wanted to come to again.

There was some blood on Diana’s face and her stomach and arms were torn open without any pain. Neil knelt down almost the moment he saw her. “Diana!”

The ground under Diana’s feet was covered with my blood. I was obviously in more pain than her.

Neil pushed me to the ground and forced me to let those people release Diana and even threw a card worth 5 million dollars.

“You just want money! Claire, you really make me feel sick!”

He held Diana carefully in his arms, with infinite tenderness and heartache in his eyes and turned disgusted when he looked at me.

Like a knife, he cut off my flesh piece by piece and fed it to the dog.

Diana spoke weakly, still trembling. “Claire definitely didn’t mean it. I don’t blame her. She seems to be injured too. Let’s take her away.”

Neil’s eyes finally fell on me. He frowned, not out of heartache, as if he thought I had dirty his eyes.

“She deserves it. It’s not a pity to die.”

He paused, “What’s more, she spread those photos everywhere. I’m afraid she’s so happy that only a group of men can satisfy her.”

Through the iron plate behind me, I saw my bloodless face.

He stepped out and the men in front of him were teasing again.

“It’s all over. Which of you is interested, come first.”

I bit my lip and I actually saw my parents smiling at me in a daze.

I took out the knife hidden in my pocket and stabbed at the men. I was weak, so they grabbed my hair and slammed me against the wall.

My vision gradually blurred and suddenly my heart hurt and the knife actually pierced straight into my chest.

I spat out a mouthful of blood and the others scattered in fear.

I lowered my head and looked at the hand holding the knife. It was my own.

Yes, I wanted to die a long time ago. Tears and blood poured down and I fell backwards heavily.

Neil sent Diana to the hospital. He was relieved to hear that she was fine and went to the toilet.

He was looking at his phone and didn’t look at the road. He bumped into a nurse.

Suddenly a diagnosis fell to the ground. Neil knew it was his fault and hurried to pick it up for the other party, but he didn’t want to see a familiar name on it.

Claire, multiple organs were severely damaged and gastric cancer was in the late stage.
