Love as Cold as Sea Water

I went to attend a friend's yacht wedding with my boyfriend.

When the bride threw her bouquet, I was pushed by the crowd and fell into the sea.

I tried hard to move my legs and keep my head above the surface desperately while shouting. "Lionel, save me! Save me!"

He jumped into the sea anxiously. I waved to him excitedly, but he passed me and swam towards Sarah Johansson.

He put her into the kayak and paddled towards the yacht, I shouted. "Lionel, I'm here, save me!"

Lionel glanced at me indifferently and said, "Wait, I'll come back to save you after I send Sarah to the yacht."

"A kayak this big should be able to bear my weight. I won't be able to hold on until you come back."

I just had swimming lessons for one day, which was of no use in the sea.

The seawater kept drowning me and my face had turned pale from the cold.

Lionel yelled at me angrily. "I think you want to kill Sarah. What if the kayak can't bear it?"

"You are in such good health. You won't die if you hold on a little longer!"

He ignored me and paddled away.

The fear of death swept over me, sea water kept pouring into my mouth, my legs were twitching from being frozen and I almost had no strength to struggle.

The moment I sank into the sea, a softness came over my waist and I was brought to the surface by the rescuers.

Taking another breath of fresh air, I had decided that I no longer want this man, Lionel Schmidt.

Back on the yacht, with the blanket wrapped around me, I finally felt alive.

My body still could not help but tremble. I looked up and saw that Lionel was still holding Sarah tightly in her arms and comforting her gently.

He did not even notice to what was happening on my end.

Until someone patted him, he looked over.

I thought he would at least comfort me when he saw me like this, but his face darkened.

"Georgia, you just asked for it."

"Are you so eager to get married? If you hadn't been so focused on grabbing the bouquet for yourself, would you have fallen into the sea?"

"Not only did you seek death yourself, but you also pushed Sarah into the sea. Tell me, how could you be so cruel? Do you really want to kill Sarah?"

"I've already explained to you what happened last time. Sarah and I are innocent. Why do you have such filthy thoughts and hold a grudge againts us until now?"

He was talking about the last time I found Sarah's stockings in his car.

Although I had some doubts last time, I believed him after he explained. I did not expect him to talk about it here.

Suddenly, everyone started looking at me with disdainful eyes.

I hurriedly explained. "I didn't grab the bouquet and I didn't push her."

"I didn't mean to hurt her, I didn't!"

Lionel's face was filled with anger and his tone of accusation was colder than seawater. "Giorgina, you're really stubborn."

"Could it be someone as kind as Sarah would wrongly accuse you? If you hadn't pushed her, how could she have fallen?"

I continued. "But I fell, too and I almost died."

"Who knows what you are up to?"

Sarah leaned softly in his arms with red eyes and a weak voice and said "Lionel, don't blame her. She didn't mean it. She just loves you too much and doesn't want to lose you."

Her gaze shrank towards me, as if she had been bullied by me for a long time.

"Georgia, I don't blame you for what happened this time. I hope you won't misunderstand me and Lionel anymore. We are truly innocent."

"He and I grew up together. If we wanted to be together, we would have been together a long time ago. How could it be your turn to be with him?"

"Today is Lionel's best friend's wedding. Even if you feel resentful, you shouldn't do such things at this time and affect the mood of the bride and groom."
