Chapter 4

Serena felt as if something was stuck in her throat, unable to move or speak.

The people around her gasped softly.

"With that figure, no wonder all the men in California were heartbroken when Serena got married."

"I heard she's quite aloof. I never expected her to be willing to be a nude model."

The smile and ambiguity were barely concealed.

Serena felt as if she had been stripped naked in public, standing here alone.

The stares around her felt like quicksand, slowly drowning her.

Memories flooded back—back when she still considered Jennifer her closest sister.

Hearing that she couldn't find a suitable model, Serena would postpone her meetings to stay with her.

When she was coaxed into taking off her clothes, she felt she was being sentimental. It was clearly for art.

She thought it was out of sisterly affection, but it turned out Jennifer had lied to her once again.

How could she be so stupid as to treat this bitch like a real sister?

Looking around, all she could see were sculptures of herself.

Most of them were naked, completely, in various poses.

Jennifer's skills were excellent and having lived with her for so many years, each sculpture was incredibly lifelike.

Serena felt a nausea rising in her stomach. She searched everywhere for Jennifer, wanting to confront her in person, but her gaze was drawn to another sculpture.

It was half leaning on the armrest of the sofa, with the head slightly tilted back, the lips slightly parted and the eyes slightly reddened.

Her throat tightened.

That was the expression only appeared on certain undisclosed moments.

Only one person had ever seen it.

Only the person lying on top of her had the chance to look down and see her in such a state of loss of control.

Felix.

Why did it appear here?

She almost instinctively raised her head and looked at the display label beside her. [Action Reference: Private Image.]

She felt a cold hand gripping her heart tightly.

On those nights, the man held a camera and pestered her, saying, "Serena, you're so beautiful, I'll keep a memento."

She initially refused.

However, he kissed her ear and whispered coaxingly. "Just once, I swear, I'll never show it to anyone else."

She eventually believed him.

Closed her eyes and pretended not to see the flickering red light. All the tenderness and trust she had given him were now crushed into a cold, hard stone, leaving for others to judge.

Someone chuckled and said, "That's quite a daring position."

"So Ms. Danish is quite the player in bed."

“What high-and-mighty lady? She must’ve been trained by countless men to become like this.”

Laughter poured over her like buckets of dirty water from all directions.

Her gaze met Felix's. He strode over and pressed her shoulder. "Serena, listen. Your sister said she needs some references for dynamic movements and I thought you'd agree since you always dote on her the most."

Serena looked up, her eyes bloodshot. "You're losing your mind!"

He frowned, his well-hidden cynical playboy demeanor resurfacing. "Serena, stop being so sentimental, okay? It's art. People are appreciating your beauty, nothing else ...."

Before he could finish speaking, she slapped him in the face!

Chapter 5

Cassandra and Oliver grew up together. They had known each other since childhood and were each other’s first love. To make her smile, Oliver spent millions on fireworks across the whole city on her birthday.

When a car accident happened, he protected her and broke seven ribs. He almost died that day.

Cassandra also loved him deeply. When Oliver got kicked out by his family, she gave him all her money to help him start a business. She'd drank traditional medicine for three years just to get pregnant with his child.

But on the day Cassandra was told she was pregnant, everything changed. She saw Oliver pinning her twin sister onto the bed and kissing her wildly.

Cassandra felt like she was struck by lightning.

“What are you doing?!” she shouted angrily.

Oliver turned around in panic. When he saw Cassandra at the door, his face went blank.

He stood up at once and said nervously, “Sandy, why are you here?”

He suddenly pushed Bianca away and shouted coldly, “Who are you? How dare you pretend to be my wife!”

Bianca looked at him with tears in her eyes. “It was his fault! He got drunk and mistook me for my sister.”

Then she cried and looked at Cassandra. “Sister, I didn’t do it on purpose. Please don’t be angry, okay?”

Seeing this, Cassandra felt dizzy. Her body swayed and she almost fainted.

Oliver quickly held her. “Sandra, you can hit me or scold me, but please don’t hurt yourself.”

His eyes were full of regret. He blamed himself without end. “Please believe me. This is all a misunderstanding.”

Bianca cried even harder and slapped herself. “Sister, don’t be angry. It’s all my fault. Please don’t be mad.”

Cassandra grabbed Bianca’s hand and forced herself to believe them.

But that night, she saw the truth.

She saw Oliver holding Bianca in his arms and saying softly, “Bianca, it was all thanks to you. if not, your sister would have found out about us this afternoon.”

“Because of you, she foolishly believed I couldn’t tell you apart from her.” He then laughed coldly. “She doesn’t know that even if you dressed the same and stood in front of me, I would still recognize you at once, Bianca.”

Cassandra’s hand froze on the door handle. Her blood felt frozen. Her heart felt like it was being stabbed by countless needles.

So everything Oliver said earlier was a lie.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t tell them apart. He had already been cheating with her own sister for a long while.

But why? Why would they do this to her?

Her whole body trembled with anger. She was about to rush in and confront them when Bianca spoke again.

“If you never that idea to use my sister as a decoy for the Lockharts and protected me, I might be dead by now.” Bianca smiled brightly, her eyes full of gratitude.

Cassandra felt shocked. Suddenly, everything made sense.

Three years ago, Bianca insisted on going abroad to “gain experience.”

At that time, Oliver was clearly loving Bianca the most. Yet, he suddenly proposed to Cassandra in an open public area and married her.

Cassandra truly thought she would live a happy life. But after marriage, strange things kept happening.

Her car broke down and she almost died in an accident. She was pushed into a reservoir while traveling and nearly drowned. At a banquet, she was almost shot by an assassin.

All of those showed that someone was targeting her.

When she told Oliver, he only looked at her gently and said, “Sandra, those are just accidents. You are my wife. Who would dare hurt you?”

But now she finally understood.

The person Bianca offended in the past was from the Lockhart Family. The very people even Oliver dared not provoke.

Bianca had killed Director Damon Lockhart’s sister and was hunted down. She secretly escaped abroad, leaving Cassandra, her twin with the same face, to stay in the country and marry Oliver for the public to know.

The happiness and excitement she felt when he proposed now turned into sharp knives cutting her heart.

She remembered that day three years ago.

The young, handsome and gentle Oliver stood at her door. He said softly, “Sandra, marry me. I will make you happy.”

Cassandra had secretly loved Oliver for ten years. Hearing his proposal made her so shocked that she agreed without thinking.

After marriage, she once asked him, “Wasn’t the person you loved my sister?”

Oliver smiled bitterly and said, “Silly girl. The one I love now is you.”

She felt something was wrong with it, but didn’t ask more.

Now, hearing Oliver cold voice clearly say, “She isn’t worth even one strand of your hair. If she wasn't even useful to block the Lockharts away, I would have left her long ago.”

He continued, “Now that the Lockharts are abroad and you are back, it’s time to divorce her.”

So that was the real reason Oliver married her. If Cassandra hadn’t accidentally heard all this, she might have stayed foolish forever.

Her phone suddenly vibrated.

In a daze, she took it out. It was a message from her doctor:

“Ms. Wolfe, congratulations. You are pregnant. The baby is already three months old.”
