Zoey stood up and picked up her bag and had it on her left shoulder. She still needs to render an hour service to school and the laboratory before she can call it a day.

As a determined scholar, she needs to work compared to other working students. If she can't work, where will she be making her money from? Nothing is stopping her from working, because if she stops working, how will she go about her feeding and other expenses.

Zoey and her friends have been living in the same apartment, they have been sharing expenses from the beginning of the year they started college together. At first, she met Cali. Cali was the first person she made friends with after Cali were the twins, crazy one at that.

Although they insisted that they could shoulder everything, she was against it. She knew how to respect people a lot. She hates taking things, being the shy type. She h*I'm taking a slight chance, perhaps an opportunity , for granted. Not just because they said it. Besides, she's strong enough and can do any job in order to earn money.

She grabbed her attendance card near the door and inserted it into the machine. She left her bag at the table that was near the librarian and started her work.

After all, her jobs aren't hard jobs that make students weak after doing such. All she did was to pick and arrange books to the right shelves.

Fortunately, she won't spend more time on arranging the books. Because it looks like there were few students at the library today.. Thankfully it will save her time in the library.

She inhales fresh air from the window and dust her hands. She's done already. She was about to step out when the librarian stopped her from going.

"The provost summons your attention. " she said to her and smiled at her. Of course she had to smile back.

"Why will the provost summon her. " she thought. In order to have answers to her questions. She decided to take the floor of the banking and finance building and looked for the provost. .. She knocked on the door and went in immediately.

"Good afternoon ma'am. " she greeted and had her behind her back.

"Good Afternoon Ms Diwali. Please have a seat. " she said pointing at the empty chair in front of her.

"I know you must be wondering why you have been summoned. I know you have a lot of questions running in your mind and also in your head. Don't worry, I will clear everything with this minimum of time. I want to inform you that I got an order from the founder of your scholarship and they happen to have it canceled.

At this moment, Zoey felt like shutting her eyes and telling herself it was a dream.. she felt like crying but had to hold herself.

"Why did they cancel it ??" She shuttered again.

"Thank you so much ma'am. " Zoey appreciated and smiled at the provost.

"Screw you Don. " Zoey cursed. And took the floor that leads to the engineering building. She took the chemical engineering floor.. but then she came back to her senses.

"I can't be reckless otherwise, it will be worse than this. " She thought and stood still.

"Should I wait for him at his parking lot or should I wait for him here? '' she thought and started doubting... She decided to wait for him at the parking lot. It's easy to recognize his car because he's the only person driving a Tesla model..

She kept praying in her mind as she kept hoping the cancellation of her scholarship had nothing to do with the dare kiss. And if it does then she's regretting it. She's really regretting it...

She wiped a single tear that rolled down her cheeks with her hand... She stopped and held her head.

"God. Hope it's not what I'm thinking. If it is, then I'm regretting it already. " ... She mumbled to herself.

Zoey thought she would wait for a couple of minutes but luck was on her side as she saw Landon who was coming towards his car. She roamed her eyes in the parking lot and heaved a sigh of relief.. when she didn't see any students..

Landon could be seen whistling happily. It was really visible. Zoey's anger grew the more. She really felt like pouring acid on his face.

"He looks happy. " Zoey thought and rolled her eyes.. I'm hundred percent sure he's the one behind the cancellation of my scholarship. " she thought. He kept humming the song as he walked closer to his car.

Before he could think of touching the handle of the car door. Zoey summoned courage and called him.

"Hey you Landon Wester. " She called with a smile on the corner of her lips.

Landon turned with an arched brow.

"Can we talk? " She asked.. and took steps closer to him.

He knitted his brows. "Who the hell are you? ". Oh! You are one of those slutty bitches that wanna give their pu**y for free..

Zoey couldn't hold her laughter and rolled her eyes after... "As if you are worth my taste either. " she scoffed and continued..

"Like seriously, do I look like a lady that runs over brainless men. " she scoffed and had her index finger pointing at Landon...

Her reply gave Landon a shocking expression. His mind flashed to the kiss he received earlier and he had his face on Zoey and an evil smirk curved up his lips.

Zoey lost the train of her thoughts that instant.. She scoffed and glare hardly at him, if only eye glaring can murder someone definitely Landon Wester won't have been five feet beneath the ground.

"You cancel my scholarship right! " She asked.

"Oh! Now you know the percussion of your actions when you tried to hit on me. " He replied in an arrogant way, which made Zoey boil with anger.

I will settle everything with your dad. Zoey uttered with a hope to turn around when his next sentence made her holt with a shocking facial expression on her face.

Landon was left with no choice but to laugh wholeheartedly...

"I'm still guessing you don't know who I am, I'm the one in charge of all the scholarship lists in dad's foundation ." He uttered arrogantly.

That moment, Zoey felt like disappearing into the thin air.

She shuttered.. "What? "

"I need to get my scholarship back. Losing it will be a problem for me. I will have to start paying my tuition fee and this university isn't for child's play. It's for elite, luxury people... Gosh this is too much.. Where will I get the money from? '' she thought and fear gripped her heart..

"Please, I'm begging you. Can you release my scholarship for me. " she pleaded.

Landon arched his brows and scoffed.. "Yes Yes Yes.. Do you have anything to say if you don't then leave? I have better things to do. " He uttered and got inside his car. He was about to close the door when Zoey stopped him.

"Holy sh*t. " Landon caused.

Zoey on the other hand was desperate to get her scholarship back. She wasn't letting go of the door and he wasn't either.

"This is so irritating, what the hell is wrong with this old woman. " He thought and forcefully pulled the door... It happened so quickly that the door was jammed on Zoey's index finger...

"Ahhhh! " she screamed loudly... Landon wasn't aware of what he did not until a drop of blood dropped on his white shirt..

He moved his gaze at Zoey and realized what mistake he had made.. He opened the door and released her hand.

"She's just too stubborn. " He thought and rolled his eyes.. Zoey's face grew wider when she had the ignition of the car. Without thinking twice, she ran to block him from moving his car.

"Is he nuts or something? He injured my hand yet he shows no remorse for it. " She thought of giving him those deadly glares.

"Give me back my scholarship. " She asked back... Zoey knew she had the right to fight for her scholarship.. Not as if she went against the rules of the scholarship. Matters like this are personal matters that should be settled among themselves. It wasn't proper the way he's using her only hope of being someone in the society one day.

She took steps closer to him " That scholarship means a lot to me. I know I shouldn't mess with you but it's just a dare not as if we can undo what is done already? ." she uttered and paused..

"Hold on, did you want me to go on my knees and beg you? " she asked and scoffed..

Landon grinned and chuckled..

"And you think I will accept your apology when you knee. " He rolled his eyes.

"Who do you think will knee to you? You are nothing but a piglet. " Zoey thought with a long eye roll.. she won't dare to utter such out.. The two aren't ready to let go of their ego.

"That's your punishment for the reckless action and show you pull earlier. " He said and got inside his car.

That moment Zoey felt like bursting into fear. She rushed to stop him for the second time..

"Please this is my last year in college and I can't afford to pay for the tuition fee.. " She pleaded and crouched to his level, she did her best to look pitiful in front of Landon's eyes, even if she wanted to punch the man's face.

"When you knew you couldn't afford the tuition fee, why did you enter this school? Oh I get. " he's like an idiot answering his question..

"You entered because of the scholarship. Since I have decided to take it back, I think you should find another school. " he uttered with no remorse.

Zoey's face grew wider.

"Does he know that, it's a hell of a school waste. She will have to start afresh. " She thought and quickly shook off those thoughts.

"Please. " she pleaded. But now he's shocked, she actually went on her knees and grabbed his legs and a single tear rolled down her cheeks.. .." Please, I'm begging you. I'm sorry for everything. I will do anything you want but please reverse the cancellation of my scholarship, please Don" she pleaded with teary eyes.

Zoey hated herself for what she did seconds ago but she had no choice. She just has to put aside her pride for the sake of this scholarship.

Landon smirked and glanced at her..

"Anything. Zoey nodded, thinking twice.

"Wow, that's great. Okay then. " He exhaled and glanced at her one last time.

"Suck my d!ck. " he uttered and kept winking at her. Zoey eyes widened instantly.. She looked at him as if he suddenly grew two horns on his head. Her mind and whole body looked shocked and suddenly grew cold.

Landon burst into laughter when he saw Zoey's reaction. She stood up quickly and glared at him.

"This is bullshit! You are a monster. " She uttered with a gritted tooth.

She's determined to avoid the students warth. She doesn't want to get caught by other students in dealing with the school's egocentric prince. Without thinking twice, she pushed Landon and hopped inside the car.

"What the f*ck are you doing? " He yelled.

She rolled her eyes and pointed out her index finger at the direction of the coming students.

"Do you want them to see us together? " She asked..

"You know you are famous, I don't want to deal with you along with other students. This my f*cking last year in college and can't afford to get trapped. " She added.

Landon laughed at her words..

"Dealing with me will ruin your last year in college. " He asked.

"Obviously. Uhh.. it's not like that. " She uttered and looked away.

"Do you think you can drive since you decided to take over my seat? " He uttered..

"Then get off my seat! " He interrupted with a yell...

"You look awful when angry. " she scoffed.

"Oh! Really. " He faked a national expression on his face. Zoey nodded with a glare..

"Gosh, you are really getting on my nerves. " He mumbled...

"Let them pass then we will --- he did not even wait for her to finish her words when he carried her as if she was light like a feather.

"I hate stubborn people. And you happen to be one. " He muttered aggressively and ignited the engine and drove out of the school parking lot at full speed..

Zoey focused on her wound as she nursed it slowly...

Landon looked at the wound and his face softened a little bit but it was wiped with a quick cold expression.
