Chapter 2
Julian understood what I said and what I meant.
He suddenly turned his head and looked at me, his eyes fixed on me firmly, but his eyes were extremely cold.
After looking at me for a long time, Julian sighed and spoke slightly.
"Mira Young, I know your secret."
"I know you are the Immortal!"
Julian's words shocked me.
It also explains what I am going through now.
It turns out that he really doesn't love my money, but he doesn't love me either!
I thought I could achieve eternal life in this life, but I didn't expect to fail at the last moment.
Julian was terrifyingly cold and indifferent. Even when he saw me cut open and covered in blood, he still stood calmly beside the operating table, holding my hand and stroking my palm with his fingertips.
My whole body was resisting and I felt like I was going to faint from the pain.
Julian was still talking about the difficulties he and Sophia had gone through.
"I took Sophia to many places and consulted many famous doctors, but there was no hope. Sophia suffered a lot and cried in my arms countless times. I was the only one who understood her pain."
"I promised her that I must save her. I must find a way to save her! I really can't bear to see her leave me, you know? She is like the sun in my world. Without her, my world will lose its light."
"Mira, after I knew you were an immortal, I had a strong feeling that you could save her! I had a feeling that you could change my life and hers!"
So he didn't even give me anesthesia?
And you deceived me for three years!
He spent the past three years just trying to get close to me, to gain my trust, and then use my organs to save Sophia.
How could he do this?
I roared, losing my composure in front of him for the first time, and swearing at him crazily.
Although I know that death is a common occurrence in my life and it is a very normal thing for me.
But I can't accept this fact.
I would rather he approached me for my money than for this reason.
The double pain made me lose consciousness. My convulsions became more severe and my limbs were twisted in a horrible state, but Julian held me down.
Julian kept talking to comfort me, but not a single word he said sounded human.
"Mira, just bear with it! Just hold on a little longer! I know you've died many times before and you've experienced all kinds of pain. This time is no different. Just bear with it and it will pass."
"I know you've been looking for a way to break the immortality barrier. I'll help you this time, and you can help me too. Isn't that a happy ending for both of us?"
"You help me save Sophia, and I'll help you end this ridiculous eternal life. I will continue to love you and remember you forever. I'll let you continue in Sophia's body in another way, okay?"
I looked at him coldly, biting my tongue in pain and spitting out blood.
Julian was afraid that I would lose control and bite my tongue to commit suicide, so he didn't even bother to bear the pain and held out his hand for me to bite.
"Don't be afraid, Mira. Be good, don't be afraid. I will always be by your side. Just hold on a little longer. The doctor said that if you don't have anesthesia, it will better ensure the adaptability of your organs. That's why it hurts, but it will pass quickly!"
His affectionate look made me feel for a moment that I was lying on the delivery bed, giving birth to our two children.
But this is all an illusion, I know it better than anyone else.
I sneered, exhausting the last bit of trust I had in others.
I bit him hard, spit a mouthful of blood on his face and growled.
"Since you know that I am an immortal, do you know what will happen if you accept the flesh and blood of an immortal? I advise you to stop as soon as possible! Otherwise, you will not be able to bear the consequences!"
Chapter 3
After I yelled this, I fainted from the pain.
I didn't know how long I was unconscious. When I woke up, I found myself in a big water tank.
I have been reborn many times and have died many times. As long as twenty-four hours after my death, I will be resurrected from various angles.
I have been in the cold water, in the sticky soil, in the dirty sewers...
As long as this world has not been destroyed, even if I am killed and burned to ashes, leaving only a speck of dust, I can still be resurrected.
This large water tank was filled with formalin. My hollowed-out body was soaking in it like a bath. It was reviving little by little, but I couldn't move yet.
I heard Julian's cold voice. He was standing not far away and had already opened the big water tank to look at me once.
From the reflection in his pupils, I saw that my appearance was even more horrifying. My nearly 1.7-meter-tall body was tortured and curled up into a ball. It was not even half of my previous height.
Julian had taken all of my usable organs from me, and they now belong to Sophia.
It can be seen that Julian is very satisfied, and his voice unconsciously rises several degrees.
"She probably can't live forever. She can't be resurrected in this state. Only a skeleton and a head are left of her body. There's nothing useful left."
The doctor who performed the surgery on Sophia and me also nodded, thinking that I could not be revived.
"I'm afraid there's no hope. I can't do any scientific research. What's left of this body..."
Julian thought for a moment and made a decision immediately.
"To be on the safe side, we cremated the rest of her body and scattered the ashes in the four corners of the country so that she would never be resurrected. This way, Sophia could get her property smoothly."
I don't know who this doctor is, but he is very powerful. Not only can he perform surgery on me and Sophia, but he can also help Julian deal with my body.
The two of them had a great conversation and treated me as if I were a cat or dog.
After taking care of my issues, they talked about Sophia's recovery.
Julian's tone was unstoppably cheerful, and his eyes were shining in a way I had never seen him look before.
"The organs of immortals are indeed different. At first I thought Sophia would need a long time to recover and go through a very painful transition period, but I didn't expect her to be full of energy the next day!"
"Not only that, her organs adapted very quickly, her wounds healed very quickly, and she was full of life. I was amazed!"
"I have discussed it with Sophia and plan to take the next step in three days."
What’s next?
Julian didn't tell me this.
I wanted to continue listening, but Julian received a call from Sophia.
Sophia's gentle voice came from the other end of the phone. She suddenly asked for strawberry cake. She was in a good mood and had a good appetite. It seemed that she had recovered well.
Julian was overjoyed after hearing this and said a few loving words into the phone.
"You little greedy cat, you just feel better and you just want to eat strawberry cake?"
Sophia was acting coquettishly, and a soft and tender voice came from the other end.
"There's still something I want to eat, but you're not here, so I don't dare to think too much..."
Julian had a smile on his face and spoke sweet words.
"Then I'll come now, you think about it, what do you want to eat? Hmm?"
When I heard their words, my heart sank.
The body recovers faster.
I felt something in my chest breaking through my flesh, and bit by bit, my own heart was growing out.
Chapter 4
I pulled the corners of my mouth into a slight smile, feeling my heart beating slowly, about to usher in a new round of resurrection.
The heart that once loved Julian was taken away by him, taking away my love and pain.
Now I have given birth to a new heart, I no longer feel pain or love, and my heart is filled with only hatred and the desire to accept the results.
I stayed in the big water tank for several hours, watching my body being filled up and revived bit by bit, and I rushed out of the tank half an hour before the doctor was going to deal with my corpse.
When the doctor found out I was missing, he was so frightened as if he had seen a ghost that he ran to call Julian in a panic.
I hid in the dark and heard the phone ring three times before Julian reluctantly answered the call.
"Hey! Julian! Julian, something's wrong! Where are you? Tell me quickly, I'll come find you right away!"
The doctor was trembling, looking around at me, shaking uncontrollably.
Julian thought he had missed a good opportunity.
"I'm busy with Sophia right now, you know that! Sophia is just getting better, why are you calling me so late?"
His lustful voice sounded particularly ambiguous over the phone, as if accompanied by Sophia's delicate breathing, and there was no way the doctor could have failed to hear it.
But the doctor couldn't care less and could only shout desperately into the phone.
"Oh no! Mira is missing! I wanted to dispose of Mira's body, but I just opened the water tank and found nothing inside!"
Julian was stunned for a moment, and his voice turned cold instantly.
"How is that possible? Is it because it's too dark that you can't see clearly? Can you take a closer look?"
"Impossible! I saw it clearly, there was no Mira in the water tank! There were also Mira's footprints on the ground, Mira must have resurrected and ran away..."
As the two men spoke in horror, the thunder in the rainy night became louder.
I ran to his car before the doctor did, took the stolen keys and drove away, driving directly to the downstairs of Julian's house.
It was the middle of the night and the lights were still on in Julian's house. From the garage came his very flustered voice, as if he was moving something breathlessly.
Sophia followed him anxiously, and asked Julian in confusion: "Julian, where are we going? What happened? Why do you want to take the suitcase?"
Julian didn't have time to explain and was just busy moving his luggage.
"Let's go first, take the earliest flight. I'll explain to you when it's safe!"
Sophia was extremely confused and wanted to ask something, but she froze when the third thunder sounded in the sky.
Then she seemed to have received some kind of call, and walked towards the door mysteriously, opened the door for me, and stood beside me obediently.
"Sophia, where have you been?!"
Julian followed me out anxiously. When he saw me, he turned pale with fright, but he was still subconsciously worried about Sophia and kept calling her, which instantly hurt my eyes.
"Sophia, come here, come here first! Listen to me explain! You can't handle her, don't get so close to her!"
I laughed.
Laugh at his ignorance.
I turned to look at Sophia and whispered, "Catch him, let's go into the room and talk."
Sophia had no complaints and carried out my orders. Amid Julian's shock, Sophia dislocated his arm and forcibly brought him into the room.
Julian screamed in shock and injury.
"How could this happen? Mira, what on earth did you do to Sophia?!"
I looked at the night sky and shook my head regretfully at Julian.
"I didn't do anything to her. It's you who didn't listen to my advice and couldn't bear the consequences!"
