Chapter 1
My mom felt sorry for me having a crush on someone for ten years. So she simply drugged my unconscious friend. Then my mom sent her to my bed.
After waking up, she coldly agreed to marry me. But soon after the marriage, she frequently went on business trips abroad. She then was gone for three years.
I raised my daughter, Luciana, alone. We really waited for her to come back to our home.
Three years later, I heard that she returned to Liechtenstein. I gave up important social events to meet her with my daughter. I took my daughter to the airport to pick her up.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with her behaviour towards us. She glanced at me indifferently.
“I’m sorry, I have mysophobia.”
Since then, my daughter and I have washed our hands more than three times each time. The floors in our house were spotless, but she still didn't come back. She never hugged my daughter.
Until I saw a video where someone asked her, “Ms. Isabella Celeste, what do you think is the happiest thing you've ever done?”
She answered carelessly, “I was abroad last week, I put Adelaide to bed and then pulled Christopher into the bathroom before I went out.”
In the midst of the uproar, my hands and feet went cold. I knew both names that Isabella mentioned. Christopher Ainsworth was her ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, Adelaide was the daughter of her ex-boyfriend.
I heard that in the three years since I left the country, they have been living together. I then realized it turned out to be true.
I was completely heartbroken at that moment. It made me leave the divorce agreement for her. I also cancelled my identity with my daughter. Then both of us went out of the country.
——
The nanny picked up my daughter from the kindergarten. Luciana cried so much. It made her eyes swollen.
Luciana then asked me, “Dad, do I have no mom?”
She hiccupped. My lovely daughter felt wronged at that time.
“Mom promised to go to my kindergarten parent-teacher meeting for me, but when she arrived, she said she was Adelaide's mom. It makes me sad, dad.”
I saw Luciana’s eyes were red this time. She still cried out loud. “Dad, they all say that I am a child without a mom. It’s not true, right?”
My chest burst with a ton of pain. My eyes were red. I then hugged my daughter in my arms tightly.
I wanted to say something to comfort her. Unfortunately, when I remembered Isabella's cold attitude, it got stuck in my throat. I really regretted it.
I thought that after waiting for three years, I finally waited for her to come to her senses. I was hoping she was willing to return to Liechtenstein to reunite with our family.
But I didn't expect that it was just because Christopher said he wanted to go back to Liechtenstein.
She bought a plane ticket without hesitation. I was shocked that Isabella arranged everything. She also transferred her ex-boyfriend's daughter to the best kindergarten like her daughter, Luciana.
The day I went to the airport to meet Isabella, my daughter put on the most beautiful dress. Luciana nervously asked me, “Dad, will Mom like me?”
I nodded and touched her head softly. “Yes, of course, you are Mom's only daughter, Luciana. Your mom will be happy when she meets you.”
But when we arrived at the airport, we were full of surprises. We saw Isabella holding Christopher's hand. She also held a three-year-old girl in her arms. It made Luciana and I confused in place.
Isabella faintly swept a glance at me. “I'm sorry, I'll go to settle Christopher and Adelaide first, okay? You guys go home first.”
She didn't even look at our daughter, Luciana. She only looked at Adelaide with a gentle face.
Thinking of this, I closed my eyes in despair. I was really angry at Isabella, but I chose to take care of my daughter first.
“I'm sorry, my lovely daughter. It's all my fault. I promise I will go to the parent-teacher meeting for you next time.”
I helped Luciana wash her face. We then went to bed. It was hard to put her to sleep. When she fell asleep, her little brows were furrowed tightly.
Luciana was delirious and said, “Mom, please hug me. I miss you.”
My heart felt like it was stabbed by a needle when I heard my daughter’s words. If it hadn't been for that incident three years ago, my daughter might not have suffered like this.
Three years ago, my mom felt sorry for my secret love for ten years. She simply drugged Isabella and sent her to my bed.
I was shocked. “Mom, are you going to kill me?”
My mom sighed with relief. “I have long seen that you like Isabella, my son. She also has a good impression of you. She has a crush on you, but she just won't say anything.”
I was silenced and unbelieved by my mom’s words. My mom still focused on me.
“The other day when I was drunk, I heard her call you by your name. I even felt abrasive for you guys. Why don't you just cook the rice and make it a done deal?”
I resisted in every possible way. But I didn't expect my body to get hot in the next second.
My mom chuckled at this moment. “I have also drugged your wine, my son. So cherish this night, okay?”
Chapter 2
Then the door was unlocked. After that night, Isabella came to her senses.
She said coldly, “Reginald, I will be responsible for you and marry you.”
I thought a happy life was about to begin for me. But at a party, I accidentally bumped into her talking to a friend.
“Isabella, you don't know what's good for you. You have to be grateful. Reginald has a good figure. He is also rich. The key is that he still loves you so much. So, you should live a good life.”
Isabella sneered while smoking a cigarette. She didn’t care about her friend’s words.
“At first, I also had a good impression of him, but I didn't expect that he was actually such a casual person. When I think of the day, he drugged me and forcefully himself on me, I feel disgusted.”
I hadn't figured out how to explain to her properly. Half a month later, she applied and got a visa to leave the country.
Ten months later, Isabella sent her newborn daughter back to Liechtenstein. I took care of my daughter, Luciana, alone. On the other hand, I still looked forward to her coming back. I always wait for her day and night.
Unfortunately, what I got in return was her entanglement with Christopher. I didn’t believe Isabelle was closer to Christopher’s daughter than her daughter.
The empty villa was silent and lonely. I took out my cell phone. I just wanted to call Isabella to ask when she would be back.
Suddenly the door was pushed open. Isabella coldly walked in. She swept a glance at Luciana who was sleeping soundly.
She then spoke carelessly, “Adelaide will come to play at home tomorrow, Reginald. So, you and Luciana have to go out right now.”
Meeting my confused gaze, the corner of her lips raised a smile and explained, “Adelaide is more possessive. She can't see other little girls calling me mom, Reginald. So, please, you two out now.”
I had just held my breath for a while. But I finally exploded at this moment. I laughed back in anger.
“Isabella, do you still know who your biological daughter is? Do you know that Luciana is in kindergarten today…”
Isabella frowned slightly and interrupted me, “Reginald, there's no need for you to remind me of this, okay? I'm sorry, Reginald. But at the kindergarten today, Adelaide also had a parent-teacher meeting. Christopher and her mom are divorced. She's too busy to take care of the child alone.”
I still calm down at this moment. Isabella continued her words, “What's more, before I met you, I swore to Christopher that I would never let him suffer any grievances. I've already married you, as you wished, Reginald. So, you can't stop me from caring about them. This is what I owe them.”
Isabella threw down her jacket after saying that. She then went to the bathroom. The sound of water splashing drowned out my desperate and helpless whimpers.
If I had known that life would be like this after marrying her, I would rather die than choose to give in that night. I smiled bitterly at the divorce agreement that I had just written on my computer.
If it weren’t for my only daughter, Luciana, there would be no heart for Isabella. According to my character, I was afraid that I would have already mentioned divorce.
But when I thought of Luciana with the aggrieved look, I still wanted to fight a little more. I did not want to let her lose her mother since she was a child.

Luciana woke up early in the morning. She learned that her mother had come back to our house. She then jumped up excitedly on her crib.
“I'm going to take the picture I just drew and show it to Mommy and Dad.”
I knew that little children would forget a lot of things quickly. Luciana has already forgiven Isabella for what happened in kindergarten. My daughter ran downstairs happily.
But she saw Christopher and Adelaide in our house. At that moment Isabella was gently helping Adelaide peel oranges.
Luciana frowned and asked, “Mom, who are they?”
Seeing that Luciana was still at home, Isabella frowned. “Why are you still at home? Where's your dad, Luciana?”
Luciana was taken aback. She was still carefully holding up the family portrait she had been drawing for a week.
“This is the family portrait that I drew, Mom. I'm thinking that I'll give it to you when you return home.”
The painting was just about to be handed over when a small hand nonchalantly snatched it away.
“What a broken painting!”
Adelaide stomped her foot and tore it in half. She arrogantly put her hands on her waist. Adelaide then fiercely pushed my daughter.
Chapter 3
Adelaide shouted, “This is my mom not yours. Luciana, your classmates say you're a wild seed. Who gave you permission to call her your mom?”
Seeing Luciana fall to the ground and crying loudly, I was instantly anxious. I helped my daughter up. I then stare coldly at Adelaide.
“Apologize to my daughter right now!”
Isabella tightened her brows and said unhappily, “Reginald, why are you being so mean to a little kid?”
She held Adelaide in her arms without saying a word. She then stared at me sharply.
“I told you in advance last night that Adelaide doesn't stand to see people calling me mom, Reginald. She's just aggravated and angry. By the way, it's not like she pushed Luciana on purpose, okay?”
I stood firm. I was still insisting.
“Did she do it on purpose? Didn't you see it just now, Reginald?”
“Isabella, she just personally called Luciana a wild seed. You must tell her, is Luciana really a wild seed?”
Isabella hesitated for a few moments. But she still softly coaxed Adelaide without any intention of apologizing.
On the other side, Christopher rolled his eyes. He stepped forward to Luciana.
He then apologized with a smile. “Mr. Reginald, I'm really sorry. My daughter, Adelaide, grew up abroad. It makes her personality easy to anger. She also doesn’t like to share anything with others. She just said what she wanted to say. Please, don't take it to heart.”
The little girl in his arms had an even more smug expression. I really hated both of them. They ruined my daughter's life.
“I didn't say anything wrong, Dad. The classmates have all said that Luciana is a wild seed. She's the one who robbed my mom!”
Adelaide still believed her statement. Meanwhile, I clenched my fists and stared coldly at Isabella.
Before she said that she had a cleanliness fetish called mysophobia, Luciana and I endured it. We indulged her blindly.
Unfortunately, she was willing to use overtime as an excuse to have an affair with other men outside. I also turned a blind eye when I found out about this. But now, I couldn't tolerate others calling my daughter a wild seed.
I asked loud to her, “Isabella, I'll ask you again. Is Luciana…?”
A point of displeasure flashed across Isabella's face, but she sneered and said, “How did she become my daughter, Reginald? Aren't you stupid? Alright, today is the day Adelaide comes to the house to play, okay? Please, don't make everyone unhappy right now.”
Christopher and his daughter were happy on the side. They knew that Isabelle would choose them over her daughter.
Isabella picked up Adelaide with heartache. “I will buy you new dolls, okay?”
Adelaide replied, “I want Elsa's pretty dress, Mom.”
“Okay, we will buy it later.”
I saw Isabella's face full of love for Adelaide at this moment. Looking at her back, I felt a chill in my heart. It made me want to do something. I finally said the words that I had not been able to say even after weighing them again and again.
“Isabella, let's divorce!”
Isabella's footsteps lurched after hearing my words. She coldly turned back.
“Reginald, do you think this is interesting? If you think this can threaten me, then it's fine as you wish.”
After saying that, she left without looking back.
I saw a smile with a smirk flashed across the corner of Christopher's eyes. But he quickly suppressed it and turned back to apologize to me.
“I'm really sorry, Reginald. Isabella and I are innocent. She is the most affectionate person. I know she just cares more about me than you. It happens because she feels sorry for my heartbreak and my early divorce. You know that my only child does not have a mother. She is only to be more concerned about us for a while. I hope you do not take it to heart. Please, don’t be unhappy because of this.”
Before they left us, Christopher added my contact information. He said to compensate Luciana for that painting.
Isabella said, “Christopher, come quickly.”
Isabella stood outside not far away. She held Adelaide’s hands and called him softly.
Christopher replied, “I’m coming!”
Christopher chased after them with a joyful smile on his face. Before they could go far, the sound of their conversation clearly reached my ears.
“Isabella, you are such a fool. Mr. Reginald said that the divorce was just a word of anger. How could you agree to it?”
Isabella replied sarcastically, “I know he used all means to beg for this marriage. So, how could he possibly give up a divorce? I think he was so mean to our Adelaide. It was just a small punishment for him. It won't be long before he begs me to come back. Believe my words, Christopher.”
I couldn't help but sneer. I tried to calm down and take new steps in my future life without Isabella.
