Chapter 2

The bus buzzed with a storm of chatter.

Seeing that I still sat there without moving, Bella’s gaze shifted slightly.

Her brows furrowed deeper, her body began to sway as if about to collapse, and her eyes reddened instantly.

“Just let me sit for a moment. I’ll give you whatever money you want.”

As she spoke, she pulled a hundred-dollar bill from her bag and tried to push it into my hand, while the phone pressed against her stomach, pointing straight at my face.

A chill spread through my chest, and I spoke calmly.

“I don’t feel well. I won’t give up my seat.”

After saying that, I did not even spare her a glance.

Bella seemed not to have expected such a cold refusal.

After pausing for a moment, she suddenly collapsed beside me.

Cries of alarm rose around us, and the bus quickly came to a stop.

Kind-hearted passengers wanted to take Bella to the hospital, but she shook her head and bit her lip as she looked at me.

“I never expected that, as a fellow woman, you would be so heartless.”

The elderly women around us comforted Bella kindly while directing a torrent of criticism at me.

“It’s just giving up a seat, yet you pushed her until she fainted.”

“What terrible manners.”

Felix, who had crouched down to check on Bella, suddenly stood up in a rage.

“I never thought you were such a horrible woman.

“It’s just giving up a seat, yet you’re pretending to be sick!

“Besides, I was the one who gave you this seat in the first place. Get up!”

Viewers in Bella’s livestream praised Felix, calling him a gentleman for defending her.

At the same time, they did not forget to belittle and curse me.

Hearing Felix speak up for her made me so angry that I wanted to slap him.

My face was pale, and even my steps had been unsteady, yet he had not noticed at all, his attention fixed entirely on Bella, whose ghostly pallor came from layers of foundation.

He truly was pathetic, rushing to defend his crush.

In my previous life, after I finished my procedure, Felix had called to remind me that it was the third anniversary of our relationship.

I had said I felt unwell and did not want to go out, but he insisted that I celebrate with him.

He even told me we should take the bus somewhere, promising to give me a surprise.

Now it was clear that the whole thing had been nothing more than a trap he and his love had carefully planned, waiting for me to jump straight into it.

I shot a cold glance at Felix and the people pointing fingers at me.

“Since you’re all so kind, why don’t these ladies with perfectly good legs give up their seats instead?”

The elderly women around us looked slightly embarrassed after being exposed.

What I had not expected was that Felix suddenly grabbed me and yanked me to my feet.

He pulled so hard that I stumbled, and the bag in my hand slipped.

A hospital report sheet fell out and landed right in front of Bella.

Just as I moved to pick it up, Bella had grabbed it.

She read it aloud immediately.

“Dilation and Curettage Report.”

My mind exploded with a deafening roar.

Felix reacted instantly and slapped me across the face.

“You dared to cheat on me!”

Then he turned to the people around us and continued, “I have never slept with her.”

In an instant, both the bus and the livestream erupted.

Chapter 3

Viewers in the livestream fired comment after comment.

[Ugh, this woman is such a skank!]

[No wonder she refused to give up her seat. Turns out she had an abortion.]

[Poor guy… Fooled so badly by a terrible woman.]

The few elderly women I had singled out earlier seemed to find an outlet for their anger, pushing and pointing at me.

Someone, I don’t know who, even threw trash at me.

“You ungodly girl.”

“If she were my daughter, I would have strangled her already.”

Meanwhile, Felix watched coldly as the women insulted me.

Then I caught a flicker of pride in his eyes.

Felix helped Bella to her feet and began to guide her toward my seat, but Bella reflexively dodged it.

“I… I’ll still not sit,” she said weakly, her gaze fixed on the report.

She bit her lip, hesitating.

Someone muttered that I might be “contagious,” and the people around us gasped as if suddenly enlightened.

Both online and offline, people began to caution Bella.

“Be careful sitting in her seat. You might catch something.”

“Just bear with it. If you really get infected with something, it’s not worth it.”

Bella nodded thoughtfully before replying, “Thank you all for your concern. I can hold on a bit longer, it’s fine.

“After all, my immunity is low during my period, and getting infected with anything would be more trouble than it’s worth.”

I shook with fury.

“Stop spreading lies!” I shouted.

“You’re fabricating rumors about me just because I wouldn’t give you my seat!”

A flash of discomfort crossed her face.

She sneaked a glance at the livestream, and seeing her fans defending her, her confidence immediately returned.

As if to provoke me, she deliberately leaned against Felix.

“You don’t need to target me.

“The report fell out of your bag. Everyone saw it with their own eyes.”

“It’s one thing for you to be careless, but don’t slander others, Zoe,” Felix added.

“I really misjudged you. A loose woman like you doesn’t deserve to be with me.

“From now on, we’re done!”

I threw the couple band in my hand straight at his face.

“Look at you defending her. Someone might think she’s your girlfriend.

“I don’t need a man like you.”

Then I wiped the smudge from my cheek and met Bella’s triumphant gaze.

“Now you’ve got a seat, and you’re getting others to spread rumors that I’m sick. Are you doing this on purpose?

“And by the way, you keep claiming you have your period pain, yet you’re dressed so skimpily in cold autumn.”

At my words, the crowd looked around at Bella.

Her face flushed in anger.

Sure enough, some began murmuring their doubts.

Chapter 4

But Bella had a swarm of fans, and her momentarily bent posture straightened again.

[Everyone loves beauty. What’s wrong with wearing a short skirt?]

[I agree with the other comments. This woman is just jealous of our precious Bella.]

Bella dropped the act.

She pressed my report against her phone camera and shared it with everyone in her stream.

She curled her lips in a meaningful smile.

“I know you’re upset about giving me your seat, but this report is the truth.

“Which proper girl goes for a dilation and curettage procedure?

“Besides, your boyfriend already said he never touched you, so clearly you’ve been playing around.”

People whispered among themselves and nodded in agreement.

Once again, I was laid bare under their scrutiny.

Bella then pulled out another phone and made a call.

The moment it connected, she began to speak.

“Hello? I remember you’re the head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at St. Catherine’s Medical Center. I want to ask you something.”

Her gaze burned into me as she enunciated every word, deliberately letting everyone hear.

“I want to know—in what circumstances would a normal girl undergo a dilation and curettage procedure?”

The man on the other end spoke with slight disdain.

“Usually, it’s either a miscarriage or an abortion.”

His words sentenced me mercilessly.

People around me instinctively stepped back, afraid of being tainted by something impure.

Livestream viewers went into a frenzy, digging up all my information.

Some even posted photos of me being wheeled into the OB-GYN surgery room.

Felix spat at me and called me a slut.

I met Felix, Bella, and the other passengers’ scornful stares with cold eyes and said, “Do you even know that spreading rumors carries legal responsibility?”

Bella furrowed her brows.

“I know you won’t admit it. After all, what woman would joke with her reputation? Take my advice: women should value self-respect and health.

“Too many abortions can affect your body in the future and even impact your prospects for marriage.”

Felix sneered at Bella’s words.

“She just acted so well. I was fooled. Who would marry a woman like her?”

Listening to their back-and-forth, I chuckled coldly inside.

I had recorded everything they said. I would hold them accountable for every word.

Bella sighed, thinking I was stubborn and unyielding.

“So unrepentant. I really regret ever meeting a woman like you!” Felix added after a while.

I glanced at them coldly.

It was time.

Since they wanted me to suffer from online harassment, to rise by stepping on me, then I would make them taste the backlash.

I pulled another document from the compartment in my bag.

“Guess you’re about to be disappointed.

“Who told you that such a procedure is always for an abortion…?”
