Chapter 1
I was forced to give three years of blood to save his unforgettable first love.
Today, his first love woke up.
And I was kicked out of the house and died under the wheels.
When I lost consciousness, he gently covered his first love's eyes.
He said, "Don't look. It's dirty."
I smiled. What he didn't know was that his first love was even dirtier.
Worse still, he didn't know that he himself would end his first love's life.
——
When I got the diagnosis report from the hospital, I received a call from Noah White.
"Eva woke up. Starting today, you move out of my house."
His voice was as cold as ever, with a touch of unchallengeable determination.
Before I could say a word, the phone was hung up.
I lost my mind, looking at my phone and then at the diagnosis report.
The report said that I had severe heart failure and may not be able to live for another year.
My phone made a beep sound. Noah transferred 10 million dollars to me.
[Note: Transaction completed.]
Eva Norris woke up, so he couldn't wait to cut off ties with me.
I smiled bitterly and stared at the diagnosis report for a good while.
I had expected this to happen, but I didn't expect this day to come so coincidentally.
It happened to happen on the same day that I received my "death notice".
I took a deep breath and decided to throw the diagnosis report into the trash can.
Another report was properly stored and tucked away in my backpack.
When I got home, my house dazzled me.
The villa with pure white walls was adorned with red silk flowers as if welcoming someone's arrival.
Suddenly, I felt dizzy and took out my constantly beeping phone.
When I switched on the phone, I found it was filled with messages from Noah urging me to move out.
The last message was from ten minutes ago.
[Don't come back. I've thrown all your belongings.]
When I glanced at the three overflowing trash cans, I was in so much pain that tears streamed down my face.
Noah, I'm dying.
Can't you be a little nicer to me?
Chapter 2
I had been married to Noah for three years.
And it had been exactly ten years since I fell in love with him.
Ten years ago, I was just an orphan living in a welfare house.
Noah accompanied Eva to volunteer in the welfare house, and I was immediately attracted to him in the crowd.
It was lucky for me that I joined Noah's family company in my first year out of college.
But Eva wasn't so lucky.
She had a hereditary heart disease and was in a car accident on the way to the hospital in an emergency.
Eva's blood type was rare, so it was not easy to find a suitable blood source for her in a short time.
As Noah's assistant, I was found to have a blood type that matched Eva's.
Noah used his marriage as a bargaining chip and asked me to donate blood to Eva.
I accepted it calmly and honestly did my part to keep her alive.
In the midst of it all, I became a substitute for Eva for three years.
Now, she had woken up. It was time I woke up from my beautiful dream.
Just as I was thinking, a warm body suddenly approached me from behind.
Noah was back.
"Didn't I tell you not to come back anymore?"
He leaned close to me and suddenly whispered icily in my ear.
"Noah, I..."
I covered my belly and looked up at him. He was well-dressed, but his lips were unnaturally rosy.
Suddenly, I felt nauseous.
Eva had been in a coma for three years. I didn't expect her to be able to make out with Noah when she woke up.
His kisses had always been passionate, and he wouldn't stop until the other party was out of breath.
Well, forget about the past.
Anyway, he won't belong to me soon.
"It's my home. Why can't I come back?"
"Your home?" Noah sneered and added, "The welfare house is your home."
His sarcasm hit the bottom of my heart, and the pain that had just been suppressed by medication came back to me again.
It was like someone was in there kicking and punching my stomach.
I looked up at him, gritting my teeth.
"What if I don't leave?"
"Don't leave?" Noah smiled and propped up his body, his eyes dangerous like those of a venomous snake.
"Move out by tomorrow at the latest. Otherwise, you will know the consequences."
After Noah finished speaking, he asked, as if remembering something, "What were you about to say just now?"
"No… Nothing..."
The hand on my abdomen slowly slipped and finally clenched the bedsheet.
I shook my head. He sneered, slammed the door shut, and left.
I clenched the thin fabric, enduring the urge to run after him.
I felt like there were thousands of needles prickling my body, making me breathless in pain.
Noah, I wanted to tell you that I was dying. Could you accompany me?
I wanted to say that I was pregnant with your child.
Perhaps it's a daughter you most look forward to.
But at this point, I didn't think any of this mattered anymore.
Waves of pain came from my heart, indicating that my life was coming to an end.
Heart failure! What a terrifying term!
It was terrifying enough that Eva almost lost her life three years ago because of it.
It was terrifying enough that I trembled all over and felt dizzy even lying in bed.
I knew I was not as lucky as Eva.
She had her parents to love her, and Noah was willing to give everything for her. Besides, there was me, a fool willing to prolong her life.
But I had nothing.
I was just a poor creature. I didn't have a father or a mother. Even if I died, no one would take a second look at me.
I suddenly remembered that I was about to die.
But I hadn't done what I wanted to do.
Chapter 3
Early the next morning, Noah returned home.
He looked in a good mood and asked a servant to put Eva's favorite flowers at the entrance.
Then, the landscape painting we created together was thrown into the trash can.
The picture frame was shattered on the ground, and the glass shards hit my feet before I barely regained consciousness.
When I took a second look, I found Noah kissing someone.
When he saw me, his smile froze for a moment.
"Didn't I tell you to get out of here?"
I looked at him dumbfoundedly. I saw a hand resting on his, and its owner turned to look me in the eye from in front of him.
Eva smiled happily, looking at me like a winner.
"Long time no see, Julie."
Ever since Eva knew me, she had sweetly called me Julie.
Only I knew what kind of vicious heart she hid behind her sweet smile.
I stood awkwardly aside, watching the intimate couple.
Although I was Noah's legal wife, I looked like a maggot under Eva's dazzling smile.
Eva looked around the villa adorned like a wedding venue, her eyes sparkling.
"I've told Noah not to make any fuss, but he didn't listen."
Eva covered her mouth and smiled, revealing a pigeon-egg-like diamond ring on her ring finger.
There was a maple leaf engraved on the ring, which I saw a month ago.
It was in Noah's suit pocket.
I had thought it was the ring he would use to propose to me again.
To not spoil the surprise, I pretended not to know about it, but in fact, I was on cloud nine.
Just like Eva, I liked maple leaves too.
There was only one and a half months left until our wedding anniversary.
I was looking forward to Noah putting it on my ring finger.
Little did I expect that it was not prepared for me at all!
The doctor had already figured out the day Eva would wake up.
The Whites and the servants in the villa had all been preparing for this day, but I was the only one kept in the dark.
I became the last person to know that she could wake up.
And I was the first loser to be kicked out.
While we were talking, the servants had already thrown out my last few items.
Noah gave me a disdainful glance and told me to leave immediately.
As for the divorce agreement, he promised to deliver it to me today.
"Can I stay here, Noah?"
With tears in my swollen eyes, I uttered my final plea to him.
