Chapter 5
I had just grabbed Jennifer when the ground suddenly shook violently.
The sun suddenly rose in the distance with a thunderous boom.
A mechanical voice appeared in my mind.
[The female supporting character's behavior was out of the plot, causing the original world to collapse.]
Jennifer was so attracted to this huge change that she forgot to pull my hair for a moment.
People on the street suddenly rioted and attacked each other indiscriminately.
It was like a zombie siege in a post-apocalyptic world.
Charlie and Zachary rushed to find Jennifer.
"Jennifer, something special happened, and I didn't have time to explain it to you. There is the Safe Area in the east, and we should go there quickly!"
The Thompson family and the Davis family were rich and powerful, and they had found Safe Area so quickly.
I was about to slip away to join Carolyn.
Zachary, however, tugged on my arm and frowned tightly, "You should come with us."
I raised my eyebrows.
How could they be so kind to bring me along in such a critical situation?
Chapter 6
In the outside world, non-player characters rioted in mass, and there was chaos everywhere.
Suddenly, many sights and buildings that didn't exist before appeared on the ground.
It seemed the two worlds merged into one.
I went through the tunnel entrance with the Safe Area behind me, and someone at the gate was registering information.
Those who could come here were characters who had a part in the story.
These characters included the lead characters and their parents as well as me and Carolyn.
There were also the school teachers and the dean.
They played an integral role in the plot.
For example, when Jennifer falsely accused me of disobeying her music festival schedule and disturbing the class, the class teacher determinedly kicked me out of the team.
As the class went to a group activity, I was left alone to clean the classroom.
In addition, Jennifer doused herself with water in the restroom.
She acted like a movie queen possessed.
"Aurora, do you think I want to steal the identity of the rich girl from the Thompson family from you? I'd rather give it up to you if I could!"
She meant that I had bullied her.
The dean pointed at my nose and scolded me angrily.
The dean angrily pointed to my nose and scolded me, "You have a bad character and a wicked heart!"
He canceled my title as the city's best student without a second thought.
Watching Jennifer get wet all over, her hair dripping with water, Charlie's eyes filled with tears as if he had a deep grudge against me.
"Our parents raised you for so many years for nothing, and you're so vicious. Sure enough, you don't belong to the Thompson family."
Zachary also protected Jennifer behind him worriedly.
The young man who had a crush on me had disgust for me in his eyes.
Zachary's tone was so indifferent that it stabbed at my heart like a sharp and icy blade. "Aurora, you disappoint me so much!"
I hesitated for a moment, not knowing what to say.
We grew up together since we were young, and we had a fifteen-year affection. Wouldn't he know in his mind what kind of person I was?
Forget it. I was also disappointed in him.
Zachary didn't know right from wrong, and he followed the established fictional plot step by step.
I just found it ridiculous.
Chapter 7
As I came back to my senses, Zachary was staring at me indifferently.
Zachary was the most brilliant among the lead characters.
He said silently, "Aurora, you bear full responsibility for the destruction of the world now."
No wonder Jennifer was willing to confess to me.
It turned out the lead characters had known who she and I were for a long time.
Jennifer glared at me and chimed in, "Right. If you had followed the plot, our normal lives wouldn't have been disrupted at all.
"Why are you so shameless? You changed the direction of the entire world for your own selfish desires!"
Just as Jennifer finished speaking, countless eyes turned toward me.
Their eyes looked terrifying.
They were always like that.
They suppressed and exploited the female supporting characters in the name of justice, and they pretended that they were doing the lead characters a favor.
I sneered, "Why should I sacrifice myself for you guys?
"It's a nice try to sacrifice me for the sake of your happiness. How could you all be so shameless to say that?
"How about each of you come and thank me? I'll consider it."
Everyone looked furious at my rebuttal.
Charlie tried to blame me again with the fact that the Thompson family raised me for over ten years.
I glared at him and retorted, "The Thompson family did raise me for fifteen years, and my mom raised Jennifer for fifteen years, so we are completely done. You're not my brother, so who are you trying to accuse me?"
Anyway, I was the evil female supporting character, so I admitted what I was straight away.
I was retorting to them with satisfaction when Carolyn burst into tears beside me.
"I'm sorry, everyone."
She stood up and gave everyone a bow.
I hurriedly tugged on her sleeve to make her sit down. "Mom, what are you doing?"
I was so afraid of a weak teammate like Carolyn.
To be honest, I didn't want to recognize her as my mother anymore.
People wanted her daughter dead, but she actively apologized to them.
This was my life. Even if she was my mother, she wasn't in a position to decide for me.
I just wanted to live well, and I didn't mess with anyone.
The farce wasn't over yet.
In the depths of the tunnel, a tall man slowly walked out.
He looked handsome, noble, arrogant, and as proud as an iceberg.
He walked over to me with steady steps.
"Aurora Murphy," the man looked at my information sheet and read my name word for word.
"You ranked first in science on your entrance examination at Jerrold International High School, didn't you?"
"That's me."
The man glanced at me and smiled thoughtfully.
