Chapter 2

Charlie returned home from the hospital with a copy of the examination report.

Jennifer was Charlie's biological sister, the biological daughter of the Thompson family.

Unlike me, who was introverted, Jennifer was bright and popular.

"Mom and Dad, I finally found you!"

Jennifer's adoptive mother was my biological mother, Carolyn Murphy, who ran a small shop.

She cried, "I had a hard time outside. I went to school during the day, and I had to help with the accounts and stocking up every night after homework..."

Jennifer's parents from the Thompson family were concerned when they heard that she had to help with manual labor at home at such a young age.

"Jennifer, you've suffered a lot over the years."

My parents turned to look at me.

I didn't look anything like them, and we didn't get along very well.

As their fake daughter, I took over their daughter's time to enjoy being a rich girl for over a decade. Any family would be upset about that.

No sooner had they kicked me out than I had packed my luggage.

No one cared about me at all.

As I walked out the door of the Thompson family, my brother, Charlie, was immersed in a great sadness because the girl he loved became his sister.

That feeling of being disappointed in a love affair was quite obvious.

Charlie was six feet tall, looked bright and handsome. He was the popular captain of the basketball team at school, his family was powerful and wealthy, and he was the dreaming man for numerous teenage girls.

Unfortunately, he was just the male supporting character in the novel.

He sat on the stairs holding his forehead helplessly, showing off his perfect jawline. "Jennifer, what am I going to do with you?"

Chapter 3

The Thompson family had a big ceremony for Jennifer, and they announced to the public who she truly was.

Jennifer changed her last name to Thompson while I changed my name to Aurora Murphy.

I was calm about it with nothing rippling inside.

Since the day I learned the truth, I knew that this was a plot that was bound to happen.

The world we were living in was like a novel, and Jennifer was the female lead character in this romantic novel.

This was the plot where she got her identity back.

I didn't covet Jennifer's blessed life, and I unintentionally stole it from her.

Even though I was the evil female supporting character, I still had to live my life.

I had only brought my personal items and a few school uniforms from the Thompson family.

My suitcase was moving with a stumble on the road full of stones, as if making a wailing sound.

In front of the small shop of the Murphy family stood a woman in her thirties or forties.

Unlike Jennifer's mother, Sharon Thompson, who was well-preserved, Carolyn had a lot of wrinkles at the corners of her eyes from the exposure to the weather.

"Aurora, you're back." She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Your room is upstairs, and I don't know if I can get used to living here."

She rubbed her hands, trying to be close to me, but I didn't know how to greet her.

"Well, thank you." I pulled my suitcase, passed her, and went straight up the stairs.

Carolyn was a nice woman who was overly kind.

Jennifer was ungrateful.

She hooked up with a rich man and instantly left Carolyn behind.

Carolyn still loved Jennifer as her daughter for the sake of Jennifer being her daughter for more than ten years, and even I was inferior as her biological daughter.

In the original story, Carolyn took Jennifer's side, and she ended up going out of her way to cut ties with me.

In the end, she said I was to blame as the evil female supporting character.

How could I let go of my grudge and get close to her?

Chapter 4

Knowledge was the best way to change your destiny.

I studied hard in school and didn't want to get involved with the lead characters.

It was only when Jennifer purposely made trouble a few times that I had no choice but to follow the plot.

My childhood sweetheart, who I grew up with, and my brother, who used to love me, grew to favor Jennifer.

But what was that to do with me?

When I graduated, I got into a university with excellent entrance examination results.

However, the lead characters spend their days immersed in the love triangle.

A special tutoring course worth thousands of dollars didn't help them either.

I heard that the three of them were going abroad together.

Maybe they thought I couldn't affect them anymore, and Jennifer admitted that she was the female lead character.

She made a point of bragging about it in front of me.

"I know you have a crush on Zachary, but he seems to prefer me.

"What's the point of you studying better? My family applied to prestigious schools abroad for us, and it's easy for me to apply to graduate school at top universities back home.

"You seem to have a hard time applying to graduate school at home, and you'll still have a lower education background than me in the end."

Looking at Jennifer, who was condescending in front of me, I felt ridiculous.

I never studied for grades or educational background, and I thought the knowledge in my brain was worth the most.

As Jennifer was busy developing a relationship with the male lead character and the male supporting character, the difference between us was created long ago.

"You're just standing on the shoulders of the Thompson family today.

"You were born so lucky, and all I have is what I've worked hard for."

Carolyn didn't have any money to hire a tutor for me.

I would get up at five in the morning to help her stock up before going to school.

At night, after our accounting, I would be in my room upstairs.

I was grateful.

Carolyn raised me by her efforts and gave me a cozy and comfortable space to study.

I was in the sea of knowledge, temporarily forgetting the hardships of real life.

The streetlight and moonlight in front of the window formed a delightful contrast.

My four years of high school had just gone by with the lead characters bullying me over and over again.

Jennifer suddenly looked at me with a wary look in her eyes.

"Did you work hard for it? Do you want to steal from me? You are daydreaming.

"I'm the lead character, and do you want to change your destiny against all odds as a supporting character? What is not yours will never belong to you!"

She took a step back and smiled sinisterly, "Don't you love Zachary? Would you like to see him hate you forever?"

In the original story, I went crazy with jealousy and pushed Jennifer down the stairs.

I ruined my life like that.

Jennifer fell down the stairs on her back in order to slander me.

She was a lunatic

Wasn't she afraid she was going to make a fool of herself? Or would she fall and get brain-damaged?

I panicked and reached out for her.

"I stopped loving Zachary a long time ago!

"Why did you go out of your way for a man? Are you insane?"
