Chapter 3
There was a crisp sound, and Sean's eyes were burning with unprecedented anger.
His murderous gaze fell on my neck.
Stunned, I quickly pulled on my scarf.
However, he still saw some scars from the stitches.
He grabbed my wrist so hard that it trembled.
"What's that around your neck? What's that red thing? Anna, I really didn't expect you to be so disgusting!"
"The traces of cheating haven't disappeared yet. Now you're targeting my son. Are you shameless?"
After that, he shook my wrist hard, and my arm hit my face heavily.
My nose was bleeding on the spot.
Seeing this, Emily hurried out to grab a tissue and handed it to me.
My face twisted in pain. I looked up and shouted at her, "Get lost! Do not pretend to be kind in front of me!"
I didn't believe that the police didn't tell her that it was an accident car when she went to check the license number!
But she hid everything and turned to splash dirty water on me!
I reached out to touch my face, and the fire in my heart burned hotter and hotter.
Hearing the noise, my son staggered out of the room.
He came to us and whispered, "What's wrong with Mommy and Daddy?"
When he turned around and saw Emily crying with grievance, he started to babble anxiously.
"Auntie... don't cry... Mom is bad..."
In an instant, my heart sank to the bottom.
Sean scolded harshly, "Anna, look at you! Are you going crazy in front of your son? Don't you think it's enough? Do you want the whole city to know that my wife cheated on you and even put the blame on me?"
When our son heard his father's roar, he burst into tears on the spot.
I hurriedly reached out to hug him, but he hid in the arms of Emily in front of me.
It was as if I was a devil from hell.
"Anna, don't be angry. The child is innocent. You can't vent your anger on the child. What can he understand at such a young age?"
I could not help but shout at her uncontrollably.
"Enough! What does my son know at such a young age? He was only close to me a month ago. I don't believe he can act like that without any one telling him that!"
"Emily, I can tolerate you, and I can give you my position, but you can't use my son as a tool to compete for favor!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the son in her arms cried even louder.
"I don't want a cheating Mom! I don't want Mom anymore... Bad Mom, bad Mom..."
Emily looked panicked, but there was a flash of pride in her eyes.
The next second, I rushed forward and grabbed her collar tightly, my eyes red.
"What on earth did you say to my son? You bitch!"
Sean slapped me hard on the arm and pushed me away.
I fell backward uncontrollably.
His angry curses came to my ears.
"Lunatic! You're crazy now!"
The movement was too big, revealing the redness on my neck.
Sean gritted his teeth angrily and said, "Anna, tighten your scarf. Don't let me see that disgusting thing!"
I frantically reached out to cover my eyes, but the scene of him returning home late at night with red marks flashed through my mind.
Countless times, when Emily accompanied him to socialize and sent him home.
One person's lipstick had lost its color, and one person's collar was covered in lip prints.
I was so angry that my chin was shaking.
"Sean, you're not qualified to scold me! You're the dirtiest one!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he grabbed my neck with a ferocious look.
The wound that had just healed was suddenly hit by an external force, and the pain was almost unbearable.
Sean gritted his teeth and said, "You cheated on me and now you are afraid that our son knows? Why didn't you think about today when you did it?"
"Didn't I give you enough money to keep another man? You even want to swipe my card. You almost shit on me! Anna, am I too gentle?!"
Hearing this, Emily had just coaxed my son and spoke in a hurry.
"Mr. Miller, the secondary card has been suspended. Don't be angry. It's more important to solve the problem now."
Sean calmed down a little when he heard this.
He said coldly, "Anna, why didn't you just die outside? If you died, I could pretend that nothing had happened. Why did you have to come back now?!"
A cold smile appeared on my face as I pushed his hand away from my neck.
"I don't come back so I can make room for the two of you? You are dreaming!"
"When I leave with my son, I won't even spare you a glance even if you beg me!"
After that, I endured the pain in my neck and got up from the bed.
I rushed to Emily and reached out to grab my son.
My son was so scared that he began to suffer on the spot.
Emily quickly moved aside to block my attack.
"Anna, don't be like this. The child is crying because of you. He..."
Without waiting for her to finish, I slapped her on the other side of the face.
"It's none of your business! If you talk nonsense to him again, I'll tear your mouth apart! Anyway, I have died once, so I'm not afraid of anything!"
As soon as I finished speaking, Sean kicked me hard in the back.
I fell forward on the ground.
The scarf around my neck fell off, revealing a circle of horrible scars.
My phone fell out of my pocket and rang at this moment.
Sean stared at my neck as if he couldn't hear it.
My wound felt inexplicably hot under his gaze.
The phone rang for a long time. Maybe it was because no one answered, the person called again.
When I struggled to get up and was about to take out my phone, Sean snatched it from me.
"What's wrong? You've just returned home for half a day, and he can't stand it anymore? He's swiping my card to sleep with my wife and you're not letting us chat?"
After that, he directly pressed the answer button and turned on the speaker.
The police officer's anxious voice suddenly sounded.
"Ms. Miller, are you all right? You didn't answer the phone just now. I thought someone had escaped to take revenge on you. We successfully arrested the suspect according to the name you reported last time, and your car has been detained. I heard from the doctor that you have been discharged from the hospital. Please come to the police station as soon as possible!"
Chapter 4
Sean's face instantly turned pale when he heard the voice on the phone.
He hung up the phone in a panic before he could reply.
He turned to look at me, his face full of surprise.
"What's going on? What does he mean? Did you call the police? Why don't I know? What happened to you?"
As soon as I finished my words, Emily panicked, for fear that I would say something unfavorable to her.
She hurriedly said, "Sister, no matter what, you can't find someone to act with you to deceive Mr. Miller. He has worked very hard this month. Now you come back, you two can talk. Do you need to call the police?"
But this time, Sean interrupted her with a cold face.
"Anna, what's wrong with your neck? What did you do outside this month? I'm your legal husband. I'm not qualified to know?"
He would not be very soon.
In the face of his questions, I kept silent.
I could only struggle to get up from the ground.
There was no warmth in my eyes when I looked at him.
"What's wrong? Didn't your lover investigate it clearly for you? You didn't show up when I needed you before. Now you don't need to care about me. Stop acting. I feel sick!"
"When I'm done with this matter, I'll send you a divorce agreement. I don't want anything. I just want the custody of my son. You can sign it directly. Now I'll let you take care of my son for two days."
After that, I turned around and was about to leave, but he caught me off guard and grabbed my wrist.
He rushed in front of me and wanted to ask further, but I shook off his hand hard.
I glanced sideways at my son, who was shivering with fear.
She took two steps forward and bent down to touch his head. However, he quickly dodged her and hid behind Emily.
The pain in my lower back made my face turn pale. I gritted my teeth and stood up straight to pick up my luggage.
Just as I was about to leave, Emily said, "Sister, let me offer you a ride. It's not easy to get a taxi from the villa..."
As soon as she finished speaking, she naturally took out Sean's car key from her bag.
I looked at her actions and couldn't help sneering.
Was there a need to show off in front of me now?
"You don't have to. Leave it to Sean."
Then I walked out of the room and didn't see Sean rushing out with the key.
I took the elevator downstairs and went out. Perhaps the pent-up anger in my heart made me quicken my pace.
The wound on the back of my waist hurt again, and my body swayed.
The second before I fell, Sean held my arm.
After steadying myself, I shook him off forcefully as I walked forward.
His voice, which was about to break down, came to my ears.
"Anna, it's not the time for you to quarrel with me. The police have called. How long are you going to keep quarreling?"
The moment I heard this, I stopped and looked at him angrily.
"Sean, am I always unreasonable in your eyes? In that case, why don't you continue to believe in her? Why did you come out with me? Anyway, I just found someone to act with me!"
Then, I reached out my hand for a taxi.
Fortunately, someone got out of the car in the community. When the taxi saw my gesture, it turned around and stopped in front of me.
When I was about to open the door and get in the car, Sean reached out and bumped the door hard.
"Sorry, we're not leaving. I'm sorry!"
I wanted to argue with him, but he held me in his arms.
