Chapter 7

“Jennie and I have been married for seven years and have no children. I even asked you to abort one of my children to save her face. I didn't expect you to be so strong and get pregnant again so soon.”

Emily's face turned slightly red and she glanced away shyly. “It's not my ability, it's all because of Marson's hard work.”

Jennie's stomach churned and he almost vomited while holding onto the door frame.

The noise was so loud that even a cat turned around to look at her.

Marson frowned, not noticing the thin layer of sweat on her forehead and said sternly, “Emily is pregnant. Please pay attention to nutrition when cooking these days.

“You don't have to feel wronged. You haven't been able to have a child for seven years. I guess it will be difficult for you to have one in the future. When the child is born, I will announce to the public that it is yours.”

He paused, his eyes fell on Jennie's lower abdomen, “Just take good care of Emily's health and the position of Mrs. Rush will still be yours.”

Jennie recovered and stared at the man in front of him, speaking subconsciously, “What if I'm pregnant too?”

Marson burst out laughing.

“Then go to the hospital to check whether you are really pregnant or not.”

Jennie had not gotten pregnant in seven years, so when she said she was also pregnant in front of pregnant’s Emily, everyone would think Jennie made up stories without considering the timing.

After saying that, regardless of Jennie's gloomy expression, he turned around and helped Emily upstairs, leaving Jennie alone standing at the door.

A cold wind blew and Jennie shivered.

She lowered her eyes to look at her belly and all the grievances in her heart disappeared.

“Tomorrow I will go to the old house to deliver the invitations. You can come with me. If my mother asks about it, remember to smooth things over and don't let my mother embarrass Emily.”

Jennie looked up and saw Marson standing at the top of the stairs, looking down at her.

She really could not imagine how someone could bring his wife and mistress to meet his parents so openly.

Even though she had long been accustomed to his coldness, she was still hurt by his self-righteous expression.

“No.”

Marson was dissatisfied by her answer and sneered, “You don't go? What if my mom makes things difficult for Emily? You know, ever since my dad had an illegitimate child, my mom hates extramarital affairs the most.”

Jennie had a blank expression on her face.

“Let me bear your mother's wrath while you and Emily are so in love with each other. This is too much of a calculation.”

Marson was speechless, opened his mouth and said after a long time, “Even if I owe you this time, you can get whatever compensation you want.”

Jennie pondered, “Then I want your bank card statement.”

It was convenient to check the marital property transferred to Emily.

The next day, two Maybachs sped out.

Knowing that Marson was coming back, his mother got up early and instructed the kitchen servants to do everything carefully.

The servant reported with an embarrassed look on his face, “Mr. Rush has brought someone back.”

Marson’s mother was stunned and Marson led Emily in.

He laughed dryly twice and the people around him were watching his mother's expression and dared not breathe.

“Mom, I have good news for you. Emily is pregnant. The doctor said it's a boy. You're going to be a grandmother.”

After saying that, he pushed Emily forward.

Emily understood and knelt in front of Marson’s mother, lowering her head and serving her tea.

But Marson’s mother remained motionless, her expression unpredictable.

Emily pursed her lips and blinked as she looked at Marson in grievance.

Marson pushed Jennie, signaling her to step forward to smooth things over.

Jennie said nothing, but the corners of her eyes turned red.

Seven years ago, when Marson brought her back home, his mother aslo looked down on her.

She was about to back out, but Marson asked her to believe him.

“My mother is old, you should be more obedient to her. We will be the ones to live with her in the future anyway.”

Chapter 8

“When she gives you tea later, she'll make things difficult for you. Just bear with it for my sake, okay?”

When serving tea that day, Jennie held the cup for an entire hour and changed the tea countless times.

Marson’s mother either complained about the heat or the cold and even complained about the style of the teacup.

By the time she finished serving tea, her arms were so tired that she could not lift them, but Marson was very happy that day.

“Jennie, my mother finally acknowledges you. We will be a real couple from now on.

“So, from now on, I will be responsible for working hard outside and you will be responsible for looking beautiful. By the way, you can also help me take care of my body. We will have a big fat son soon.”

Even if Marson did not say it, Jennie would use all his medical skills to help him recover.

After seven years, we finally had a fat son.

But such a pity that Marson did not want it anymore.

Jennie touched her belly and smiled bitterly.

Emily's hand holding the teacup began to shake, tears welled up in her eyes, about to fall.

Marson’s mother glanced at Marson and Jennie.

“Jennie, do you think I should drink this cup of tea?” Marson’s mother asked.

Marson nudged Jennie with his elbow and winked.

Jennie was helpless when said, “Drink it, she wouldn't dare to poison it, don't worry.”

The people around wanted to plug their ears and cover their eyes and no one dared to look towards the center of the crowd.

Marson’s mother snorted coldly, “You are smart. You know you can't have children and you know to let Marson find someone else to have one. That's it. I'll give you this face.”

The servants immediately understood and said in unison.

“Congratulations, Mrs. Rush, you will be the grandmother.”

“Mrs. Rush is good at educating, so the daughter-in-law is sensible and considerate and the son is capable.”

“That's right.”

With each word of flattery, Marson’s mother expression became more and more proud.

Many people also quietly rolled their eyes and talked in low voices.

“It's said that Mrs. Rush can't stand extramarital affairs. It's easy for them to not accept it. They just give them a way out.”

“Hey, what I can't stand is my husband's extramarital affair, but my son's extramarital affair is a sign of his ability.”

The scene gradually became lively.

Everyone gathered around Marson’s mother and Marson to flatter them. Emily felt awkward and could only sit in the corner biting her lip while watching the servants ask Jennie for instructions on everything.

She walked up to Jennie with her belly inflated, looking arrogant when ordered, “Go tell the kitchen to feed the baby fish with less sugar and less oil.”

Jennie glanced at him and said, “Get lost!”

Seeing that she was giving proper instructions, Emily suddenly moved closer to her and lowered her voice, “I heard that Herbal Medicine relies on feeling the pulse to diagnose diseases. If your hand is destroyed, will Marson still keep you?”

Jennie paused, raised her eyes and stared at her coldly as she sneered, “If that day comes, all you have to worry about is your life.”

Emily tilted her head and pouted to look cute when answered, “Really? I don't believe it.”

Jennie turned her back and ignored her.

A servant came over and asked respectfully, “Madam, the medicinal food you mentioned…."

Jennie waved her hand and followed the servant to the kitchen.

As soon as she walked into the kitchen, a pot of hot soup was poured towards her face. Jennie jumped back and the servant behind her slammed the door shut.

She was anxious and reached out to stop him, but her wrist was stuck in the crack of the door. The servant tried to pull the door handle hard, seriously injuring her wrist.

At that time, hot soup poured down.

Jennie got anxious and kicked open the kitchen door, grabbing the servant to block the hot soup.

“Ah!” The servant cried out and blisters instantly appeared on his body.

“Who ordered you to do this?”

Chapter 9

“No one ordered me to do this. I just can't stand you.”

The servant lying on the ground screamed in pain, but still struggled to get up, picked up the knife beside him and stabbed Jennie.

Jennie was unable to dodge and a bloody mark was left on his arm.

She was about to run away when two men suddenly jumped out from behind her, one raised his fist and the other hit her right hand with a long stick.

She was startled and could not dodge, so she took the blow on her shoulder.

The tearing pain in her shoulder made her squat on the ground.

Before she could recover, the man with the stick raised it again to hit her hard.

It looked like he would not give up until he broke her hand today.

Jennie gritted her teeth, took out a silver needle and threw it at the man.

The rules of Earth King Valley prohibited harming ordinary people, but at that critical moment of life and death, she could no longer care about anything.

The silver needle pierced the neck of the man holding the long stick and that man's eyes rolled back and he fainted.

The remaining few people looked at each other and no one dared to step forward.

Jennie stood up, brushed the dirt off her body and walked straight back to the living room.

Her eyes flashed and her gaze fell on Emily who was hiding in the crowd.

Emily saw that she was covered with wounds and had a panicked look in her eyes. She immediately wanted to hide in the direction of Marson.

Emily had just taken a few steps when she suddenly felt a pain in her neck and fell to the ground. She screamed in pain, “Marson, my stomach hurts.”

Jennie sneered and walked up to her, “I told you to worry about your life.”

“You, what do you want to do? I'm carrying the eldest grandson of the Rush Family.”

Emily trembled and huddled into a ball, pushing off the ground with her feet and trying to distance herself from Jennie.

Jennie's eyes were fierce. She pulled out the needle from Emily's neck and stabbed it in the face.

The tip of the needle just grazed Emily's skin and a huge force hit her waist.

She staggered and almost fell.

Marson helped Emily up and slapped Jennie in the face.

“You dare to do that? I really spoil you too much.

“You are a country bumpkin. I provide you with food and drink, but you are not grateful enough. You even dare to attack my child.”

The huge palm pushed Jennie against the wall.

Her lower abdomen twitched and she defended herself with a pale face, “She had someone beat me up in the kitchen and threatened to break my hand. I'm just retaliating.”

Emily lowered her head and hugged Marson, shed tears.

Marson sneered, “Emily hurt you? When she sees you, she is like a mouse seeing a cat. How can she have the courage to hurt you?

“Do you think everyone is as treacherous and cunning as you who poisons others at will?”

Like a bolt of thunder in a clear sky, Jennie's mind exploded instantly.

He said she was sinister and cunning.

He said he poisoned people at will.

But it was clearly him who cried to her and complained that the uncles of the Rush Family had ulterior motives towards him and wanted to harm him and he begged her to help find a way to teach them a lesson.

At that time, Marson had just been cured by her and returned to the Rush Family. Several young men in the Rush Family were eyeing him covetously and kept framing him.

It was Jennie who took action, making several people temporarily lose their minds without anyone noticing, which enabled Marson to successfully take down the Rush Family.

But then, he said she was insidious and cunning.

After Marson finished speaking, he picked up Emily and left.

The crowd gradually dispersed.

Jennie was left alone, standing in the living room with scars and blood stains all over her body.

No one came forward to put a piece of clothing on her, nor did anyone come forward to ask about her injuries.

Jennie touched her swollen face and tears fell.

Goodbye, My Shameless Ex-husband
