Chapter 5
Marson's aunt slandered her for pushing her aunt's niece.
The grandmother wanted to deal with it according to family rules.
It was Marson who stood by her and believed in her firmly.
“I don't need to watch the surveillance video. I just need to believe that Jennie is a good girl and she will never hurt anyone.”
Time flew. Seven years have passed. The words remain the same, but the person had changed.
“Apologize? Okay, but stop the wedding.”
With those words, Emily's back teeth began to creak.
“Why do you make the decision for us? It's us who want to have the wedding, not you.” Marson looked gloomy as he said that. “Don't go too far.”
“I went too far?” Jennie tried hard not to let her tears fall. “Why not put your story online and let the whole network judge who went too far?”
Marson's expression became more and more displeased and after a while, he snorted coldly, “You’re on your own.”
After saying that, he carried Emily and walked straight past her. Emily's high heels rubbed against her shoulders faintly.
Jennie looked at the two affectionate figures from behind. She turned around and went back to the law firm and found Amanda.
“I changed my mind.” Jennie said word by word, “I apply to check all the property under Marson's name, as well as every penny he transferred to Emily over the years. I want to take it back.”
Amanda nodded approvingly.

At the mansion, Marson gently massaged Emily's ankle.
Emily wrapped her arms around the man's neck, sobbing non-stop. “Honey, I was so scared just now. My heart is still pounding.”
“That’s why, Emily, don’t make her angry anymore.”
Emily pouted and acted coquettishly, while Marson smiled, “Fine, let me heal you. How about I give you a villa?”
Emily's anger turned into joy, but she still pouted in dissatisfaction, “Then I'm going to stay out of here today?”
“No need, you can live wherever you want.”
The two of them did not notice that there was already an extra camera in the Rush Family's house.
After a while, Jennie's phone screen lit up.
“You hurt Emily's foot. She can't walk anymore. Stay at home for a day.”
Jennie saved the surveillance video and information.
Back at Rush’s house, she crossed out a number on the calendar. There were six days left until the circle was completed.
Hearing the noise, Marson came out of the guest room with Jennie hanging around his neck.
“What are you doing? What are you drawing a circle for?”
Jennie said coldly, “It's a lucky day.”
The day when the circle was drawn was the day she left, so how could it not be a lucky day?
Something seemed wrong. Marson felt that the woman in front of him seemed a little different.
Jennie returned to the bedroom and started packing her things. That busy work lasted for several hours.
As Jennie went downstairs, she saw Emily sitting in the restaurant in her pajamas with a blush on her face. Jennie guessed what she was going to do.
But then, she was expressionless and said, “The guest room is too small. It's better to stay in the master bedroom.”
The surveillance camera in the master bedroom was of higher definition and there was a microphone installed on the bed too. So, it would be easier for Jennie to get a proof.
Marson did not expect Jennie to give up her bedroom on her own initiative. Just as he was about to ask what was going on, Emily stood up and fell into his arms as if she had no bones.
“Marson, my legs are weak, please carry me upstairs.”
Marson's eyes darkened, he picked up Emily and walked upstairs.
Emily made a peace gesture towards Jennie.
As soon as he entered the bedroom, Marson felt something was wrong, as if it was much emptier.
When he looked more closely, it seemed that all of Jennie's things were gone.
Chapter 6
His interest was instantly extinguished and he hurried downstairs and asked, “Where are your things?”
Jennie was reading the asset inquiry application sent by Amanda without even looking up as answering, “I've made room for you.”
Marson stared blankly at Jennie who was swiping her phone from time to time.
“Jennie, where is your diamond ring?”
Jennie stopped what she was doing, raised her hand and looked around.
“Oh, I lost it..”
The truth was it was really lost.
Half a month ago, when Marson's true face was revealed, Jennie was so angry that she took off the diamond ring and threw it into the trash can.
So, that diamond ring worth millions may have ended up in the garbage mixing bin.
Marson frowned in dissatisfaction. “Hmph, even if you don't want it, there are people who do. When I put the diamond ring on Emily, don't cry and beg me.”
Jennie lowered his head and continued to browse his phone, as if he hadn't heard anything.
I don’t know whether it was the diamond ring that irritated Marson, or whether Marson himself had a change of heart.
That night, the property certificate of a luxury villa was placed in front of Jennie.
“This villa is given to you as compensation for the wedding you promised to give to Emily.”
Jennie took the property certificate, full of doubts.
Emily pouted in dissatisfaction, “Marson, where will I live after the wedding?”
Marson tapped Emily on the forehead and took out a note from his pocket.
“This is the password to the house in the back hills of the western suburbs. Be quiet. It will be good for your health.”
Emily's face lit up with joy, she took the note excitedly and thanked him repeatedly.
Jennie felt a chill in her heart.
He just gave his wife an ordinary villa, but for his lover, he gave the only mid-mountain mansion in the city.
Marson's balance had long been tilted.
“The villa is also very good. It's right in the city and convenient for going everywhere. But I can see if Ms. Skinner is not happy.”
Emily's eyes were full of pride and she did not forget to secretly mock, “Since the western suburbs are too far away. I still prefer to live here in the city.”
Jennie snorted coldly and threw the property certificate directly into Marson's arms.
“Give me the discount.”
No matter how much Marson gave Emily, she would get it back through legal means.
Jennie refused the villa and Marson was very dissatisfied.
He took the property certificate and stuffed it into Emily's arms, “Some people don't know what's good for them and some people know how to cherish it.”
He really did not understand where the simple and kind Jennie in Earth King Valley had gone.
Did she become so jealous and vicious?
The next day, Amanda asked Jennie to go to a secluded coffee shop.
“The assets have been checked. There are many people in the law firm who are gossipy. I asked you to come here to prevent the news from leaking out.”
Then, he sighed, “Look at you two. He wanted to pick the stars and the moon for you at the beginning. How did it come to this?”
Jennie sat down and asked the waiter to change the boiled water before she answered, “Please help me draft a divorce agreement, but don't include anything about the child.”
“Are you pregnant?” Amanda widened her eyes and looked at Jennie from head to toe. “You want an abortion?”
But she heard that abortion was not allowed in Earth King Valley.
Jennie smiled bitterly and shook her head.
“The child is innocent. I will raise him myself. I didn't tell Marson because I was afraid he would cause trouble.”
Jennie gently stroked her lower abdomen with her fingers and her voice became gentler.
Amanda sighed. She stopped trying to persuade her and just silently pushed the warm water in front of her.
When Jennie returned to Rush’s house, it was getting dark.
Marson half-knelt in front of Emily, his ear pressed against the woman's belly.
“Emily, is there really a child in here?”
Chapter 7
“Jennie and I have been married for seven years and have no children. I even asked you to abort one of my children to save her face. I didn't expect you to be so strong and get pregnant again so soon.”
Emily's face turned slightly red and she glanced away shyly. “It's not my ability, it's all because of Marson's hard work.”
Jennie's stomach churned and he almost vomited while holding onto the door frame.
The noise was so loud that even a cat turned around to look at her.
Marson frowned, not noticing the thin layer of sweat on her forehead and said sternly, “Emily is pregnant. Please pay attention to nutrition when cooking these days.
“You don't have to feel wronged. You haven't been able to have a child for seven years. I guess it will be difficult for you to have one in the future. When the child is born, I will announce to the public that it is yours.”
He paused, his eyes fell on Jennie's lower abdomen, “Just take good care of Emily's health and the position of Mrs. Rush will still be yours.”
Jennie recovered and stared at the man in front of him, speaking subconsciously, “What if I'm pregnant too?”
Marson burst out laughing.
“Then go to the hospital to check whether you are really pregnant or not.”
Jennie had not gotten pregnant in seven years, so when she said she was also pregnant in front of pregnant’s Emily, everyone would think Jennie made up stories without considering the timing.
After saying that, regardless of Jennie's gloomy expression, he turned around and helped Emily upstairs, leaving Jennie alone standing at the door.
A cold wind blew and Jennie shivered.
She lowered her eyes to look at her belly and all the grievances in her heart disappeared.
“Tomorrow I will go to the old house to deliver the invitations. You can come with me. If my mother asks about it, remember to smooth things over and don't let my mother embarrass Emily.”
Jennie looked up and saw Marson standing at the top of the stairs, looking down at her.
She really could not imagine how someone could bring his wife and mistress to meet his parents so openly.
Even though she had long been accustomed to his coldness, she was still hurt by his self-righteous expression.
“No.”
Marson was dissatisfied by her answer and sneered, “You don't go? What if my mom makes things difficult for Emily? You know, ever since my dad had an illegitimate child, my mom hates extramarital affairs the most.”
Jennie had a blank expression on her face.
“Let me bear your mother's wrath while you and Emily are so in love with each other. This is too much of a calculation.”
Marson was speechless, opened his mouth and said after a long time, “Even if I owe you this time, you can get whatever compensation you want.”
Jennie pondered, “Then I want your bank card statement.”
It was convenient to check the marital property transferred to Emily.
The next day, two Maybachs sped out.
Knowing that Marson was coming back, his mother got up early and instructed the kitchen servants to do everything carefully.
The servant reported with an embarrassed look on his face, “Mr. Rush has brought someone back.”
Marson’s mother was stunned and Marson led Emily in.
He laughed dryly twice and the people around him were watching his mother's expression and dared not breathe.
“Mom, I have good news for you. Emily is pregnant. The doctor said it's a boy. You're going to be a grandmother.”
After saying that, he pushed Emily forward.
Emily understood and knelt in front of Marson’s mother, lowering her head and serving her tea.
But Marson’s mother remained motionless, her expression unpredictable.
Emily pursed her lips and blinked as she looked at Marson in grievance.
Marson pushed Jennie, signaling her to step forward to smooth things over.
Jennie said nothing, but the corners of her eyes turned red.
Seven years ago, when Marson brought her back home, his mother aslo looked down on her.
She was about to back out, but Marson asked her to believe him.
“My mother is old, you should be more obedient to her. We will be the ones to live with her in the future anyway.”
