Chapter 2
He looked at me with a slightly cold gaze, and my sense of crisis instantly skyrocketed, afraid that he would see through my disguise.
I glanced evasively at the buzz-cut handsome guy next to him. The handsome guy swept his gaze over Lukas and me, grinned, showing a mouthful of white teeth.
"So the young lady likes Mr. Hall's type? What a pity, he has a girlfriend. How about considering Quinn? He's also handsome and single!"
I looked at the handsome boy that he was hugging. The handsome boy smiled sweetly, and Emily gasped, her breathing heavy.
"..."
I pretended to be embarrassed and returned my gaze, remaining silent.
The originally lively atmosphere suddenly became quiet, and I hurriedly opened Line to reply to Lukas's message.
"I can't answer the phone right now. I've made plans with my parents to travel out of the province during the May Day holiday, so I don't have time to meet."
"How about the weekend? I miss you so much." Lukas replied.
"But I have club activities on the weekend, I really don't have time-Hug.jpg"
I was sleeping in on the weekend in my dormitory when the ringing of the phone woke me up from my dream.
"Hello-" I was very sleepy.
There was silence on the phone for a few seconds, then his voice came through clear and gentle, "Still sleeping?"
Recognizing the familiar voice, I instantly woke up, "Mmm, the club activities are in the afternoon, I'm just about to get up!"
"I saw that the weather forecast for Eldridge City predicts heavy rain. I was worried that you didn't have an umbrella and was thinking of coming over to give you one." Lukas chuckled softly, "Who knew you were still lazing in bed."
I was so surprised that I almost jumped out of bed.
He wanted to go to Eldridge City to bring me an umbrella?
Was he crazy?!
I tried to joke calmly. "Has my boyfriend become a fairy? Can he cross the distance of two cities with a spell to bring me an umbrella?"
"Your boyfriend hasn't become a fairy, but he can buy a plane ticket to fly over and give you an umbrella. Do you want to see your beloved boyfriend?" Lukas teased with a laugh.
My head was about to explode!
'Don't think I can't hear your subtle probing, you just want to meet face to face, right?!'
'Please, can you stop thinking about meeting in person?'
'Isn't it nicer to just have a pure online relationship?!'
"I also want to see my beloved boyfriend, but I have activities in the afternoon, a dinner in the evening, and I'm busy all day tomorrow. I'm really busy." I deliberately softened my voice and acted cute.
Lukas fell silent, perhaps he was angry because I kept putting him off?
"Are you angry? I'm really busy recently. After I'm free, I'll apologize to you personally, okay?" I soothed.
"I'm not angry, I won't get angry with you." Lukas's tone was gentle.
I sneakily recorded his words.
If we break up in the future and he gets angry and tries to take revenge, I'll show him this.
It was raining heavily in Eldridge City, but it was clear sky in Celadorn Port.
Emily and I went to the snack street to find food and entered a hot pot shop.
Not long after we sat down, I received a Line message from Lukas.
[Did Aliya eat on time?]
[I've been good, I ate a big bowl. Cat asking for praise.jpg] I casually took a picture of the hot pot in front of me and sent it to him.
Just after sending the message, Emily next to me excitedly pulled my arm.
"Hey, we ran into the school hunk from Everwood University again, and there's the cute guy with the tiger teeth!"
The smile on my face froze, how come he arrived just after I sent the picture?!

I hurriedly checked the photo to see if there was any evidence that could give me away.
The shop was crowded, and they were looking for seats.
I silently prayed in my heart that they would not come this way, but Emily stood up and waved at them.
"Mr. School Hunk, there are seats here!"
"..."
Lukas and his friend came over and sat across from me.
I was so nervous that I dared not breathe too hard, afraid of drawing attention and having him see through my disguise.
Fortunately, Lukas in reality is a cool school hunk, he always looked indifferent and didn't talk to us.
Beep - A Line message arrived on my phone.
Lukas sent a photo of hot pot, which looked almost exactly like the one I sent him.
[Happy to have lunch with you.]
My heart jumped into my throat, I was so scared that I almost lost my soul.
What did he mean?!
Was he testing me?
I glanced at him nervously, but saw him still staring at his phone, seemingly waiting for a reply, he didn't notice me sitting across from him.
I replied to him, [??]
[Having lunch together across space.] He explained.
I relaxed.
Lukas and I secretly matched wits and courage, resisting his urgent desire to meet in person.
Finally, the May Day holiday arrived, I wanted to relax a bit, my roommate Emily dragged me to a holiday resort in the city.
It was only after we arrived that I found out, she came here to chase after the cute guy with the tiger teeth!
What's worse, Lukas was there too!
At the evening bonfire party and barbecue, Emily and Quinn Houghton were laughing and chatting together.
I was sitting on the side with Lukas.
I didn't dare to talk to him, worried that he would recognize my voice.
He didn't seem interested in talking to me either, he was looking at his phone with his head down.
After a couple of seconds, I received a message from him.
[Did you have fun today?]
[There's a bonfire party here, do you want to see it?]
My phone beeped twice in succession, Lukas looked up at me, his eyes unreadable.
I laughed nervously and immediately put my phone on silent.
[I just got back to the hotel, I'm about to freshen up.] I lied smoothly.
A call came in, I quickly locked my phone screen and put it in my pocket.
I got up and left, walking hurriedly towards a quieter area with fewer people, turned a corner, and answered the call.
"Are you busy? Why did it take you so long to answer?" Lukas asked.
"I was just washing my face." I said offhandedly.
"I miss you." Lukas said.
"...I miss you too." I replied reluctantly.
"How much do you miss me?"
"...A lot."
He laughed softly on the other end, his voice gentle and affectionate, "I miss you a lot too."
I fell silent, thinking of an excuse to end the call.
Suddenly, he spoke up in confusion, "I think I can hear music and noise from your side, it sounds like the bonfire party I'm at."
"!!"
"It seems like there's a party outside my hotel too, the window is open, and the sound is coming in." I said as I walked to a quieter place.
As I was walking, I suddenly saw a couple passionately kissing.
I stopped awkwardly, turned around and started to walk back.
But then I saw another figure that drove me crazy.
Lukas was walking towards me.
Help!
Why was he here too?!
